HEBB 2 : Bedroom

Jess Grinned, "Of course," she scooted over and patted the bed next to her "Im all up for a movie night!" She laughed slightly.

June smiled, the tentativeness leaving the expression, and sat down where Jess had indicated. "Thanks," she said, and turned to the movie. I think I've found a new friend.

Jess yawned as the ending credits started playing and shut down her computer, "That movie is seriously awesome," She said smiling at June.

Pamela had listened to the movie. It was one of her favourites, and she wished she'd been invited to watch it. Ah well she thought to herself. Then she picked up one of her books, I Am the Cheese by Robert Cormier and began to read. It seemed rather fitting.

Kaitlyn was tired of playing and she decided to put her Violin up for now.. Once she did this she sat layed down and fell into a deep sleep.

Jess looked a few beds over and saw a girl reading the book, I am the Cheese, "Is that a good book?" She asked.

Jess had always been a big reader, but had never actually read that book.

Shadow pulled a flute out of her bag.
"Does anyone mind if I play?" She asked.

Jess ignored the immunity announcment, She didnt need immunity of course..

"You play?" She asked Shadow, "I love the flute."

Shadow nodded her head slightly.
"I learnt a while ago."

June slowly stood, her legs aching after sitting down for so long. She stretched a bit before turning to the girl who had just spoken to her. "Hi," June said smiling, "Yes, I'm June. It's nice to meet you, Kimber." When the girl mentioned The Princess Bride, June bit her lip and said, "Actually... er... we just finished watching it..."

Chelle walked over to her bed and slumped into the pillows, slightly annoyed, though deciding to keep quiet

Shadow started to play a soft melody on her flute.

Jess smiled slightly, "Yeah.. we did.. but you know if you still want to watch it you can." She said before standing up. "Sorry"

"It's an excellent book," Pamela replied. "You can borrow it if you want. I've read it twice, and just wanted a break from Jane Eyre."

Traci sat on her bed jamming to her MP3. She had blocked out most of the world. She was tired.

Streams walked in merrily, humming a cheerful tune quietly. She got down on her hands and knees, peered underneath her bed, and then crawled underneath, lying on her back under her bed and closing her eyes peacefully.

A few minutes later she frowned and got out from underneath her bed. Going over to her duffel bag, she got out a crayon and a piece of paper (she never went anywhere without crayons and paper) and wrote:

DO NOT DISTURB UNTIL MONDAY. AM PONDERING LIFE.

After she propped this up on her bed, leaning it against her duffel bag, she got back under the bed, still humming that happy little tune.

Dani waved at her mommy when she saw her enter the room, but then she saw the note she'd written and posted before climbing under her bed. The blonde shrugged and turned to Traci who was jamming out a few beds away.

"Hey Trac," she waved at her former RP buddy.

"Really?" She asked, "Id love to borrow it somtime, but right now Im reading Wuthering Heights over again, its just such a good book. Have you read it?"

After a while of sleeping Kaitlyn woke up and looked around.. Shadows was playing a flute, It appeared that Streams came in and posted a sign, and several people where talking about books and things.. She decided that she would get something to eat so she headed down to the kitchen.

June stared at the wall, thinking about... life in general, how wonderful it felt to be chosen for HEBB 2, and... anything and everything, really. That is, until she heard a few sentences that jolted her from her pondering.
She turned around, following the direction the voice had come from, and narrowed her eyes at a girl who June instantly got a bad vibe from. And of course she wasn't biased or anything... No, but the girl just happened to be harping on one of June's favorite books. June curled one hand into a fist, forcing herself to keep her often explosive temper in control.

She walked towards the girl who had been attacking Jane Eyre and said softly, "What don't you like about Jane Eyre?" Sure, June loved almost all literature and sure, she had tons of favorite books, but that didn't mean that she felt less about each one of them just because they had so many peers. And yes, June actually did think of her beloved books as if they were her... well, not children, but friends. As June waited for the girl's answer, she forced herself to remember that it wasn't wrong if the girl didn't like Jane Eyre, that she shouldn't get angry at the girl just for disliking a book. But... disliking a book for no other reason besides the oh-so-vague 'it's revolting!'! Now that was an X in June's book.

Shadow smiled slightly as Emmalynn joined in playing the flute, and began to play a well known duet.

Kim was waiting for her reply. Thinking she shouldn't have thought her previous thought.

As June listened to the girl's reply, her temper slowly began to recede. The girl had some good points... Jane Eyre was quite long and sometimes tedious... June's hand uncurled as she reminded herself that her opinion wasn't shared by everyone and after the girl had finished her rebuttal, June smiled tentatively. "I'm sorry if I was rude before," June said, "but when I heard you talking badly about Jane Eyre for what seemed like a very small reason, I got a bit... annoyed. I love to read and I love Jane Eyre, so... yeah..." June blushed, embarrassed. She bet it seemed strange to the girl for June to have gone up to her, ready to argue about a book.

Dragon woke up realizing she had fallen asleep, again. Yawning, she wondered if it was because she had spent all last night searching for buttons around the house and bugging Big Brother about his eyesight.
Spotting Streams, she was about to say 'hello' when noticing the sign. Giving the sign a blank look, she wondered what in the world was Streams pondering about that required a sign and that much time.

"I attempted Wuthering Heights a long time ago," Pamela replied. "I couldn't get into it."

Then she turned to Kim and June who were discussing Jane Eyre. "So far, I am really enjoying Jane Eyre. I'm nearly done with it."

She turned towards the book disscussion 'group' and asked, "Hey, what's are your favorite books?" hoping to be included in the conversation.

Shadow smiled again, continuing her part.

Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Jane Eyre, the Gemma Doyle Trilogy, Harry Potter, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, His Dark Materials, Romeo and Juliet, and the Book Thief are definitely some of my favorites."

Alice joined the group who were discussing books. '' Well i abolutly love the twilight series (obviously! lol), and harry potter ofcourse. Dan Brown is riviting and i recently read this book called Desert Flower by Waris Dirie who is a model from africa. It was so sad and you were just like OH MY GOD! stuff like that still happens??? It's a real eyeopener and takes you to the reality of how the rest of the world lives, not just those in developed nations... I definatly recommend it.''

"Hmm, i've never heard of it. Do you have it with you?" Kim asked in reply to Alice's answer.

Dani flopped down on her bed and reached for her suitcase wondering if she'd drank that shot of whisky she always kept in the second left pocket. After digging her hand into the fabric and coming up with nothing but an empty bottle she sighed. The was going to be a long, long, loooong time in the house. Looking at her other housemates she saw they were discussing books, the members of the house had deffinatly matured since the previous year, where were the pillow fights and Marie and Rai trying to kill eachother with empty bottles of rum? Twisting the cap of her empty bottle she brought it up to her nose and took a deep breath, she could almost taste it.

Turning to the other girls in the house she smiled "Who want to play truth or dare?" She asked.

She was having withdrawls. She asked "Who want to play truth or dare?"

Kim turned to her. Hmm, this is new, it could be exciting. "Ohh, sounds fun, i'm in!"

She looked around wondering if anyone else would join in thinking, if nobody else plays it'll be boring. We need lots nore, and some dudes.[/b]

"Im up for it" Chelle said sitting on the bed next to Dani and Kim

"Well, we still need more people." Kim said logically.

"Well they can join in as we go," Dani reasoned. "We can just start with some minor stuff while we wait."

She looked at Kim, "Truth or Dare?" She twisted the bottle between her fingers as she spoke.

"Duh!! Dare! What do you think, i'm a chicken?" Kim said laughing.

"No way are you Chicken!" Dani said with a smile.

"I dare you to crack an egg over your head."

"I'll join in too. I love truth or dare," Pamela said rather excitedly.

"Well, we gotta go get an egg first," Kim said.
