Astronomy Tower

First topic message reminder :

Morgan walks up the stairs to the astronomy tower, she sits down at the top. "It's nice up here" she thinks to herself

"Hufflepuff or Gryfindor?, " Catheryne asked. She really didn't get a Ravenclaw or Slytherin vibe from him so she didn't bother to ask.

"Hufflepuff" said Will "And you are in Slytherin?"

"Yep," Catheryne chuckled, "the funny thing is I'm the only one in my whole family in there. But they don't mind."

"Hufflepuff is really nice, how is being in Slytherin?" asked Will

Catheryne thought for a bit, "It is a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Once you get past the crazies and the idiots the rest of the lot are pretty cool."

"I hear there is a lot of drama" commented Will "I have a friend in there"

"I wouldn't really know. I've been on a drama break for a while, so I've been avoiding most of the things going on." replied Catheryne.

"Drama break? That's a funny way to put it" Will chuckles

Catheryne thought for a monment then said,"To be honest, there is no real serious way to put it."

Lily looks over and sees Will talking "Hey Will, how are you doing? I see you are making friends"

Eliza waited for Shadow to answer.

Shadow looked at Eliza.
"Which one are you talking about?" She asked.

"Well, you know... We keep arguing, and there's no point. Just now, you left and it seems like a waste of time, all this fighting."

"Eliza, you're the cousin of Dorothy, and I still can't get her out of my mind. I was there, and she died for me. I'm not ready to be around her relations, and the last time I just gave some one my trust, they tried to kill me." Shadow said.

"Who tried...? Oh." Eliza said, about to ask who that had been.
"Well, it's better to have lost and loved that to have never loved at all." She quoted. "I think you should be less protective of yourself. Just because your half-demon it doesn't mean you can't have a laugh! I'm half-breed too. How else d'you explain my magic?"

"I lose control over my emotions, it's all to easy for some one to be killed." Shadow said. "Raven watches my back, and I do the same for her."

"Ditto for me and Zeke, but do you know what type of half-breed I am?"

Shadow shook her head.

"Well, try and guess. I have a sprite, element magic and so does my brother. My father is Greek..."

"I still have a problem with different magical creatures in this dimension." Shadow said.

"Have you heard of Oberon?" Eliza asked. "He looks a lot like a man..."

Shadow shook her head.

"Have you heard of faerys?" Eliza asked.

Shadow shook her head again.
"I never had the chance to study this dimension much I'm afraid."

"Right, well, I can't explain exactly, but Oberon controls the faerys. The sprites are a type of faerys and they control the elements. Having half his blood, I can control Ice. Better than him, for my powers are concentrated. Same with Zeke."

Shadow nodded, understanding. Shadow had a question on her mind, but she didn't want to ask it.

Eliza sensed Shadow's unease.
"What?"

"Nothing." Shadow replied quickly.

"No, really, tell me." Eliza said.

"Zeke acts like he hates me, and I can sense that." Shadow said.

"He doesn't hate you... He just feels that you don't trust enough. That time in the girls bathrooms? You remember?"

"Eliza, I don't and cannot trust easily." Shadow said softly.

"Anyway," She continued, "He was trying to be nice and when you looked at him like that, he lost it. It reminded him of when in muggle school."

"I know, but I find that to distance myself from others is easier, but making enemies doesn't help." Shadow replied.

"So try and talk to him. He won't yell at you without listening, I promise."

"Raven said that I don't have the skills to talk to anyone with out starting an argument." Shadow said.

"Try. Just try, please." Eliza pleaded.

"I don't think I can with out making things worse." Shadow said quietly.

"Zeke's just bad with first impressions. He may come along soon."

Shadow sighed.
"I'm not so sure."

"Not so sure about what?" Eliza asked.

"I can sense enough to know that he doesn't like me." Shadow replied.

"Like I said, he can make the peace easy."

"Lucky him." Shadow muttered.

"Another reason he doesn't like you at the moment is because he thinks you're a whiner." She continued.

"A what?" Shadow asked.

"A whiner." She answered. "You know what that is?"

Shadow shook her head once more.

"A winger? Complaining? He knows you've had it hard, but so's he. Harder than you'd think. And he hates complaints, or thinks that he or she's in a no-win situation. "

"I don't talk to him." Shadow pointed out.
