When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Weather: The Snow is finally melting, the sun shines brightly but a small breeze can still make your bones shiver.

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. And remember to give names to your maneuvers. See this post for more info.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly hurried down to the pitch she had totally missed the last game and could only begin to imagine the pain which Ravenclaw had gone through during that match. Wincing at the thought Polly entered the changing rooms slowly pulling of her clothes. She was the first one down here today and her cold hands were stiff as she moved he clothing from her.

Brining her pale hand to her mouth she coughed slightly and began to pull on her quidditch uniform. The fabric soft on her skin was like a breath of fresh air. Though it didn't smell like fresh air. Wrinkling her nose Polly made a mentel note to wash this next time. It haden't been washed at all this term. Looking into the mirror Polly giggled at the sight her long black hair was waved and sticking out in placed due to the way she had been sleeping. Gosh I look a mess she thought as she sat down to pull her socks on. The socks coming from a muggle shop at a design on them of kittens with a small pink rim around the top. "How embarassing" she muttered as she pulled the second sock on. Next came her long boots and she wiggled her toes slightly as she placed her foot inside them. Scrunching her face up as she pushed hard for her foot to go in.

Once that was done Polly decided to leave her hair down this time it was cold and she would benefit from having her dark locks around her shoulders. Pulling her gloves on with a slight ping each time she grabbed her 'The Keeper ride' broom and scurried of onto the pitch.

It was bitterly cold outside and Polly pulled her blue quidditch robes fast around her. Placing the hard wood in between her legs Polly kicked of from the ground and smiled as the cool air whipped her hair around her. Moving it of her face Polly wished she had put some clips in it to keep it back. Looking around Polly saw that no one else had arrived yet so she began to warm up. Speeding back and too from each end of the pitch she felt her pulse rate begin to move quickly. Twisting her body Polly pulled herself into a sloth grip roll the her hair flapping around her like a cape her cold face turning pink as the blood rushed to her head.

Polly swung herself up only when her head began to hurt from dangling there. As more people began to arrive in the crowd Polly flew of towards the Ravenclaw goals ready for the match. Taking her favourite spot in the middle of the scoring area Polly placed herself diagonal a little more to the left. Now all she had to do was wait until everyone else came.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Kim walked into the Quidditch locker rooms. She saw Polly already on the field. It was cold. Kim was appreciative of the jeans she had on. She decided she would just wear her robes over them. Pulling on a knee-high pair of toe socks she thought, crap! I don't even remember who we are playing! She mulled over this thought knowing it wasn't Slytherin. She thrust her feet into her black high-top Converse.

She put her warm robes on and put her hair in a bun. She had dyed it a orange-ish blond color recently. She wiggled her fingers around, they were cold. But she knew she couldn't wear gloves, that would make her have butter-fingers, and we definitely don't want that.

She grabbed her broom and headed out to the field. She waved to polly who was in her traditional position. In the stands she could see black, red, blue, and gold. Ahh, so it's against Gryffindor. She looked around and saw they were the only two on the pitch so far. Hope everyone shows up.

She flew around the pitch getting a feel of it. She tried to do a couple loop-the-loops and managed. She felt good and had a great night's sleep. This is gonna be a good game. she thought. She put her game-face on aand thought strategy.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly smiled as Kim flew onto the pitch, yes another Ravenclaw were the thoughts that went through her head. Polly wanted this pitch to be full of blue's. Coughing Polly beant her head low against the wind. Its strong currents lapping around her. Breathing deeply against the wind she scrunched her eyes performing a spell to protect the lenses of her glasses. If it started to rain she didn't want to have to stop and do something half way through the match.

Shifting her bum slightly Polly noticed that her shoe lace was undone leaning over the side she clenched her legs together and began to lace her boot up. Polly made a yelp as her bum slipped of and she toppled sideways from her broom. Clinging on upside down holding on with her legs. Great and its only the start she thought as her glasses began to slip up onto her forhead and her hair dangled behind her. Sighing she threw her left hand up onto the broom twisting her body she pulled herself up onto of it only to see her glasses fall from her face.

Pushing her body forward she flew down and felt the cool plastic come into her hand, smiling she placed her prized posetion back onto her face shook her hair back and looked around to see who else was there. Apart from the ever growing crowd no one else had come out onto the pitch.

(ravenclaw chaser)

kim screamed as she saw polly fall. "are you okay??" she asked flying over, after her glasses were retrieved. "Girl, if this is you before the game, you are gonna get bloodied up.haha, but be careful. what did you do anyways?"

Kim had been scared by her teammate hanging upside down. she waited for the game to begin.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Wake up dummy! Wake up!"

Pamela slowly opened her eyes. Who in the world?

"Hello? Are you awake?"

Pamela started to respond, then she remembered the stupid alarm clock her friend's mother had sent her. She picked up a hammer that she kept in her trunk--she didn't know why but she always had a tool kit, even here. Serenely, Pamela begin to smash the alarm clock with the hammer. After a few swings, it stopped talking to her, and Pamela stepped back, smiling, to admire her work. Breathing a sigh of contentment, Pamela gathered her stuff and began the trek down the the pitch.

She had put winter gear into her gym bag the night before, just in case. The minute she exited the building, she was glad she had. On the ground, the weather was tolerable. In the air, that would be another story. When she walked into the locker room, it appeared that Pamela was the first Gryffie out. "Well, it's not been going on long," Pamela muttered to herself.

In a few moments, Pamela had gotten all her gear on. Her Firebolt still hadn't been sent back to her. She hadn't thought that much damage had happened to it, but they were the experts. Still, Pamela resolved to send them an owl as soon as the game was over. As she walked onto the pitch, she saw that she was, in fact, the only Gryffindor here. Shrugging, Pamela went ahead and mounted her substitute broom and flew up into the air. She was grateful that she had remembered to throw on her scarf.

"Hi Polly! Hi Kim!" Pamela shouted as she flew around, enjoying her momentary freedom.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy was still in bed sleeping even though it was late in the day. She heard the alarm on her phone going off and sitting up on her bed she picked up her phone and checked to see what she had set it to remind her about. Looking she saw that it said Qudditch. "A match today?" Stephy said as she slowly got to her feet. She crossed the room over to where her robes were at and started to dress herself. Normally it would only take her a few minutes to get dress but today she was still a little tired from giving blood the pervious day. Stephy looked at her arm to where they placed the needle and thought Well there goes not lifting anything heavy. Each time she gave blood they also told her for the next couple of days she wasnt suppose to lift any heavy items and here she was now getting ready to hit a bludger that will be traveling at high speeds right towards her bat.

Once she was fully dressed, Stephy placed her hair up into a pony tail and with her gloves on tight she walked out to the pitch carrying her broom under her hand. Looking up at the pitch she saw that there was a few other players already there getting ready for the match to begin. Stephy quickly made her way onto the field and mouted her broom. Kicking off of the ground, Stephy slowly made her way up high into the sky. She wanted to take it easy before the match was to begin. Stephy made sure she had a tight grip on her broom and she readyed herself for the game to begin

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Finally - the snow was melting, the sun was shining...

If there hadn't been such a brisk wind, then the weather would be perfect, just perfect, for their game. As she headed down to the pitch, Elana pulled her hair up into a high ponytail to get it to stop hitting her face. She cheerily entered the Ravenclaw locker rooms, but frowned when she saw it was empty except for her. Was everyone already out then? Or was she the first...Hoping it wasn't the later, she opened her locker. She set her robes, boots, pads, and broom on the bench that ran down the length of the room and sat down beside her things to get ready. Tugging off the flip-flops she had worn down even though it really wasn't warm enough, she leaned over to grab the extra pair of socks she kept in the bottom of her locker. Pulling those, the boots, her bright blue with bronze trimmed robes, and standing and taking her broom in her hand, Elana was ready as she could be for the game against Gryffindor.

She prodded the door open with her foot so that she had a hand free to wave up at the stands as she exited, and that hand soon went to her forehead to shield her eyes from the sun as they scanned the sky for players. Spotting three blue robes and one red one, she smiled. It was always nice to begin games outnumbering the other team, made things so much simpler for a while. She mounted her broom and kicked off from the springy ground, and soared up to the center of the pitch, getting into her starting position. From there, she waved at her teammates, who she now recognized as her fellow Chaser, Kim, one of their Beaters, Stephy, and their Keeper, Polly. Glad to see them all there already, Elana eagerly awaited the start of the game.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby stood in the tunnels, looking out onto the pitch. Despite the sunny skies, the wind that found her had sharp teeth. So much for her summer quidditch robes. She turned and fled back to the locker room, grabbing her warm, thick robes. Rigby had thought the winter was finally over, but it was determined to stay like an unwanted party guest long past last call.

Dressed for action, Rigby exited the tunnels, hopping on her broom and meeting the chilled wind with a smile. The sun was shining brightly and promised glorious summer days ahead. She smiled and waved to her fellow Ravenclaws. The wind pressed against her and she adjusted her hold on her broomstick. She had to push a little harder against the wind in order to fly straight, but it was nothing she couldn't handle.

Waiting for the game to begin, she was pleasantly surprised to see she wasn't too late, and that a good portion of her team had showed up. She was ready for a rough game, and had recently started taking both yoga and ballet classes. The yoga was so she could lengthen her muscles, every inch counted when you were reaching for the snitch. The ballet was for her grace and balance, which was never the best. Rigby might be poetry on a broomstick, but off of it she was a klutz. On occasion she had to take a risk to catch the snitch, and with that came the risk of falling. Normal, klutzy Rigby, deprived of the safety of her broomstick, ran the risk of falling on her head. She was hoping the ballet would give her the reflexes of a cat. And cats always land on their feet, or so the saying goes. But so far, all she had managed to accomplish in ballet were two elbows to her dance instructers face, and three blisters from the ballet shoes.

To pass the time until the snitch release, Rigby began to practice rolling dives. She started up high, diving staight down to the ground, but rolling up and to the side before any danger of hitting the ground. While chasing the snitch might require a risky dive, at the moment Rigby just wanted to work her skill, not plant herself head first into the field below.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

Three more people had joined Pamela on the pitch; all of them were Ravenclaw team members. One of them was the seeker. At least she would be guaranteed a competition. It was always boring when she was the only seeker on the pitch.

Pamela hoped that more of her team would show up soon. She didn't think it would be long before the balls were released. Pamela was pretty much useless to her team at this point.

Flying up to Rigby, she said, "Hey, how's it going? Wanna have a race before they get the balls out? It would be a good warm-up."

(ravenclaw chaser)

kim saw many people enter the pitch. she left her conversation with polly and went to her "position". she yelled a friendly hello to everyone. and then she waited some more.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly smiled as more of the Ravenclaws entered the pitch. Perfect she thought they now had their keeper, two chasers, one beater and their seeker on the pitch. When Gryffindor only had their keeper. If they kept this up then the game was looking hopeful.

"Hey quick get a goal in before anyone else gets here." Polly called cupping her hands around her mouth. Although in a way if none of the Gryffindor chasers were here yet it meant nothing for Polly to do. Rumaging in her pocket Polly pulled out a small bobble and a sweet. As the wind lashed her hair about her Polly resolved to tying it in a low pony still the front of her hair tormented her by whipping her in the face. Popping the sweet in her mouth she smiled as she sherbert washed over her tongue making her mmmmm at the taste.

Searching her pockets for more food Polly waited for the other players to arrive so the real game could begin.

Katie woke up with a start but it took hwe a while to realize why. Then it came to her: QUIDDTICH! She was going to be late again, and she could just imagine the look on June and Aliza's face if she missed the game. Hurridedly, she got dressed, and rushed downstairs, shouting a sarcastic thanks to her dormmates who had once again turned of the alarm before Katie had a chance to get up. She was still tying one of her sneakers when she stumbled through the portrait of the fat lady to make her way down the the pitch. Once, her shoes were on completely, though admittedly, they were not tied, Katie bolted through the castle knocking down a couple of first years on the way.

Finally, she reached the pitch and after much huffing and puffing, she walked into the locker room, clutching a stitch in her side. She got changed as fast as she could, put then had to pause for a second to braid her hair. Then, she got her broom and walked outside. With a smile, she realized the game had not started yet, but it looked like it was about to, so with a sigh of relief, she kicked of the ground.

Kim saw polly was enjoying the empty field, eating candy, haha. Kim wondered when the referee would arrive. She pulled out her sunglasses from her pocket and chilled in the air(if any such thing is possible). she knew once the game started she'd be an idiot to keep them on, being a soccer player taught you such things about life. You know, soccer is very much like quidditch, only there are 3 goals, less people, and the whole bludger and snitch thing. but the action war-ish part is like soccer. if you are afraid of the ball you picked the wrong sport..

(commentator)

Streams clambered up the stairs leading to the judges', commentator's and professors' podium. "Oops sorry," she murmured as she nearly tripped over the Arithmancy professor's legs, but she had the feeling that he didn't hear her, as he was snoring softly with his gray-haired head drooped on his chest.

"I'm so excited!" she exclaimed, grabbing the purple microphone off its stand. It made a loud squealing noise and the crowd groaned.

Professor McGonagall took a long breath, looking slightly ruffled, but didn't say a word.

Streams grinned and settled comfortably on her perch in front of the giant omnioculars affixed to the podium. She took a deep breath, smiled, and began. "Heelllloooo Hogwarts! Welcome, welcome, to the 5th House Quidditch game, Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor!"

The crowd began cheering themselves hoarse. Pennants and banners of blue and red, bronze and gold, waved wildly in the air. People in back scowled at the people in front who were blocking their view with giant banners. Altogether, the vibe was excellent. And streams thrived on vibes. "Who's gonna win??" she shouted, grinning as everyone yelled their team's name too loudly to discern which was loudest.

"And now, our first player has arrived! Everyone welcome the Ravenclaw keeper, POLLY! Girl, all that hair in your face is not going to be good when you're looking out for that Quaffle! And what - WHAT is she doing? That looks like the Sloth Grip Roll! Does anyone know why she executing this fine maneuver, when there are no bludgers in sight? Methinks she's merely showing off, and maybe it would be wiser to conserve your energy, Polly! Ah well, whatever works for you!"

Streams smiled widely and adjusted the light cape she was wearing. She did so love commentating. "Look at that, everyone! We've got a second Ravenclaw - a chaser! Hellooo KIM! She's doing some nice loop-the-loops, though nothing I recognize. You might want to practice some fancier maneuvers, kid! Doesn't Ravenclaw have some good moves?"

Streams smirked, and Professor McGonagall frowned. "She seems to be concentrating hard," Streams continued. "Maybe something interesting'll happen with this one! I say keep an eye on her."

Streams paused for breath, scanning the pitch through the very excellent omnioculars. "Oh dear Merlin," she cackled, "what have we got here? Polly appears to be trying to do another Sloth Grip Roll . . . it's not a very good one though - OH! This one seems unintentional! Careful there girl, or you'll be setting records for worst injury before the bludgers have even been released! Still, nice catch with those glasses, so it seems that her catching skills are none the worse for wear."

The pitch was silent for a few minutes, and Streams pulled out a chocolate-chip cookie and gobbled it in three quick bites. "Oosh I'f Ish Woo--"

Professor McGonagall glared. Streams swallowed and started again. "We've got a Gryffindor seeker, PAMELA! Remarkable if only that she's the first Gryffie yet to show!

"And now another Ravenclaw, STEPHY! She seems to be taking it slow . . . conserving her energy, I suppose. Wise and this one's not a show-off. Means she's probably a good player. I'm betting on her to make the most elaborate maneuver this game. 5 galleons on Stephy, eh Professor Flitwick?"

Flitwick nodded, but McGonagall said adamantly, "NO! No betting on games."

"Sure, sure Professor," streams replied smoothly, and quickly shook hands with Flitwick. McGongall growled under her breath. "Behave yourself girl, I'm warning you!"

"And we've got ELANA, another Ravie chaser! She looks cheerful enough, and well she should, as Ravenclaw players are currently showing the most faces!

"Welcome Ravenclaw seeker, RIGBY! She'd doing some nice rolling dives, but nothing I recognize. Try some established moves, girl!

"And now the Gryffie seeker, Pam, seems to be talking to the Ravie seeker..what tactic is this? I sure don't know, but I hope it's interesting!

" I do believe Kim has said something, but the wind simply carried it away. Hope it wasn't anything too important!

"Polly is shouting something about a goal . . . but the balls haven't yet been released . . . is she on firewhisky? At least she's trying to tie her hair back, she must have SOME wits about her . . . How odd.

"Another Gryffindor has arrived! Katie, though she isn't wearing her team jersey . . . anyone knows what position she play??? anyone??? I think it's chaser, but I can't be sure! Girl, put up your position and team or you will be discounted!

"And now Kim is wearing . . . sunglasses. Interesting. Wouldn't be fun if a bludger smashed those into her face . . . careful, dear!

"Soooo! We've got a Ravie Keeper (Polly), Chaser (Kim), Chaser (Elana), Beater (Stephy), Seeker (Rigby). From Gryffindor, we've got just a Chaser (Katie) - if indeed she IS a chaser - and a Seeker (Pamela). Let's hope more Gryffies show up, or this game will be a joke!"

(Referee)

Running into the pitch and cursing like and Irish guy Raistlin carried both his broom and the wood box with the quidditch balls under his arms.

"Late, late, late, late! I'm late! Curse the Gods! Hera should have my head right now!"

Dropping the wood box in the floor uncerimoniously he unstrapped the bludgers released the snitch and grabbed the quaffle. Fastly flying into the air he released the quaffle with a little bit more strenght than he wanted and blew his whistle.

"GO! Go, go, go!"

He flew near to the commentor cabine to watch the game.

(ravenclaw chaser)

Kim got irritated as a loud girl started to commentate. great... this should be a nice, loud game. oh, look raistalin!

Kim thrust her sunglasses in her pocket and flew to the center of the pitch. Noting there was only one chaser on the pitch and no keeper, so it should be nice and eeeaaasy.

Kim caught up the ball that Rai had hurridly threw up. She waved to people in the stands and breezed to the hoops wondering if she was in fact allowed to score without a goalie (keeper). Oh well, if not they won't count it..

She sped up and easily threw the Quaffle towards the center hoop.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

The commentator, was that - was that STREAMS?! Elana excitedly waved at her friend, but focused her attention on the game at hand when Rai belatedly came up with the balls. He tossed up the Quaffle, and Kim was quick to catch it. Elana carefully tailed her, making sure to stay close by in case she needed her. But it was smooth sailing down the pitch, except for a wayward Bludger she had to dive down under to dodge, and Kim threw the Quaffle at the center hoop. Hoping for an early goal along with her fellow Chaser, Elana quickly swerved to a stop instead of the alternative - crashing into the goals - and spun around to high five Kim.

"Nice work," she said, grinning ear to ear. She awaited the ding meaning that the Quaffle had went in. It should have - after all, there wasn't yet a Keeper on guard and Kim was a good shot...She turned back to the goals, wondering what had happened.

Gryffindor Chaser

A still exhausted Katie has only noticed the referees prescense after Kim had caught the ball. She knew there was nothing that she could do , so instead she trailed behind her as she made the shot. With no keeper, it was going to be hard to play. With a "ping" the ball went through the hoop, and Katie grimaced even though she had expected it. She still hated to see the other team score points. However, this only mader her want to score more, and therefore she dived after the ball once it had gone through. Leaning to one side on her broom, she made sharp turn and started flying for the Ravenclaw hoops.

Gryffindor Chaser

5th House Quidditch: Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor: 29th-2nd Simba2

Aliza ran onto the pitch soon after Rai, not cursing quite as badly, but still bad enough. Amidst it all she was sreaming "I'm late! June is gonna killlll--" but she stopped mid-sentence, June wasn't even there! Only Pamela and Katie had shown thus far. That wasn't a very good sign. Still, at least it meant that June wouldn't slaughtered her in her sleep! She quickly mounted her broom and sped into the air, she would have liked to get straight into the game but knew it was important to warm up a little first. She quickly did a lap of the pitch, wincing inwardly when she heard the "Ding" that signified that Ravenclaw had made a goal.

She then surveryed the pitch once again, Katie was racing for the quaffle - would she need back up?? It seemed like she probably would but she had more important things to deal with for now! She angled her broom and made a quick descent, landing perfectly. She had been practising her landings, she tended to be too clumsy at times. Once she had landed she walked the few steps to the stands - a fellow Gryffindor had bought some stuff along for her because it was too much to carry on a broom!!

...Firstly, she grabbed the stereo and CDs, grinning she put the first CD in - the soundtrack to the original Lion King movie. As the sound began trickling out she realised it wasn't loud enough. And that was even after she'd put the volume on full. Pointing her wand at the stereo she yelled "Sonorus!" hoping that it would work on a machine. Luckily, it did, and she almost fell over in shock when she realised just how loud it was - at least everyone would hear it!! Next she grabbed the Simba suit that her friend handed to her and quickly jumped into it - on top of her Quidditch uniform. Sure, she'd be hot - but who really cared? At last, she was ready. She ran back to the broom and mounted it, flying in to the air again. The stereo was still on the ground, transmitting songs to the whole pitch. She grinned as she motioned to the crowd to sing along, singing with them. Lion King was brilliance! The other houses had nothing - the couldn't compare!!

Once all the Gryffindors - and even some of the other houses - were singing she flew over to Katie, slightly encumbered by her Simba suit. "Hey Katie!" she yelled, showing Katie that she was there for back-up. Now that she was back in the game she began singing along too - at the top of her voice...

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Feeling a bit better, Stephy looked around the pitch and saw that there were now more players on the field and the balls were already realished. "Shoot" Stephy exclaimed as she frantically searched the pitch for a bludger. Within seconds she quickly spotted one flying down around the Gryfinndor's goal post. Stephy flattened herself against her broom and zoomed over towards the black ball watching it fly away from her searching for a player's skull to bash in.

Once she caught up to the Bludger, Stephy quickly scanned the players dressed in red and saw that one of them had the quaffle. Stephy knew who she was going to aim the Bludger at and throwing back her arm she angled herself so that when she hit the ball it would fly stirght towards the intended target. Stephy swung her arm forward and a huge crack filled the stadium as her bat came into contact with the Bludger. She sat on her broom and watched as the Bludger speed towards Katie who still had the quaffle in possision

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June cursed under her breath. Repeatedly. Still cursing. In fact, she was cursing far more than she usually cursed, leading to the reason why she couldn't elaborate on said curses in her current Quidditch post which she was typing in her mind. In the back of her head, June continued to have a conversation with the little voice that sometimes popped in and then popped out. In case you, Reader, are interested in the conversation that June and Voicikins were having, it went something like this:

J: Go away, V.
V: But I have to stay here, J! If I wasn't here, then who would be reminding you that you needed to go play in the Quidditch game?
J: …
V: Told you so! Now get going, girl! Quidditch calls!
J: If you weren't so self-absorbed, you'd notice that I'm looking for my bat now, an action that is NOT being helped by you prattling on endlessly!
V: You sound like Snape right now, do you know that? Would you like help getting rushed to St. Mungo's?
J: FOUND IT!!!!
V: What did you find? What, what, what?
J: ... You're in my head. Shouldn't you know? I found my bat!!!!
V: You do realize that you're doing cartwheels in your head, don't you?
J: Is that against the law? I'm happy!
V: Good! Now get out there and play, girl! A secret source tells me that the balls have already been released, and that only around three of your teammates are out there!
J: 'Secret source'? You're in my head! You only know the things that I know!
V: *coughs* No time for arguing! Get out there and play!
J: For once, that's actually a good idea... Alright! I'm going!
V: Good! Good luck Juney-boonie-jelly-bean!
J: .... I haven't been called that since 5th grade...
V: No time like the present, now go and play! And don't forget your Zazu suit!

Voicikins popped out and for a moment, June stood there, stunned. She was already in her Quidditch robes... What on Earth was V talking about? She went to her locker to retrieve her broom, and stared at what she saw inside. Next to her beloved Aethera, a big blue Zazu suit was hanging. What is this, the Lion King? June thought, taking out her broom. Well... maybe it wasn't that bad of an idea... She slowly took out the suit and muttered to herself as she struggled to get into it. After getting situated within the costume, June grabbed her broom and bat and rushed outside.

She was late, she was late, for a very important date!!! She quickly launched herself into the air once she got outside, and quickly spotted Aliza in her Simba suit. Now June realized why Voicikins had wanted her to put the Zazu suit on! June laughed as she began to get into the music, but her laughter quickly stopped at the sight of a bludger heading straight towards Katie! To business, then. June struggled to lie flat on her broom in order to fly faster, but it was difficult because of her Zazu suit. "WATCH OUT, KATIE!!!!!" June screamed, flying towards her, her bat out. Would she be in time to hit the bludger away? Or would it hit Katie? Or would Katie duck?

(ravenclaw chaser)

wooh! kim thought as she threw the ball. one of the chassers for gryffindor had caught it. kim turned around and if you would have poked her she'd have fallen off her broom. a gryffie player had just got on the field. she was wearing a costume, a loin king costume, and music was playing. wtf? if that is her prioraty then this game is in the bag. and, what? another one?

another player came onto the pitch also wearing a costume. what the heck is happening to the world? i hope their reason is that they lost a bet... kim thought. she focused.

she turned her attenton to the chaser with the ball. she flew towards her. the saw her having no assistance of either of the new chasers on the pitch. kim looked to elana. "hey! lets get moving!"

(commentator)

Streams yawned. She loved the beginnings, but middles? Not so much.

"Kim has the Quaffle," Streams paused to wave at Elana, "and Elana's hovering close by, though I don't see any teamwork yet. The FIRST TEN POINTS to RAVENCLAW!" she shouted as the ball went through the hoop.

"And now Katie's caught the ball and is headed in a straight line for the hoops. Oh, would you look at that? Another Gryffindor chaser has arrived! Welcome Prinny! She's up in the air . . . and now she's back down - she's turned on the Lion King . . . she's wearing a Simba suit . . ."

The mike crackled as McGongall fell against it, just about fainting. Streams shook her head as if to clear it, grinning. "Well THAT'S something I haven't seen before! And now Prinny is shadowing Katie, though with no established maneuver.

"And now . . . I believe . . . excellent! Stephy's lobbed a bludger at Katie, who is still in possession of the Quaffle! Oh, look at that big bomber go! Watch out katie--

"And June, the Gryffindor Beater has arrived! The Gryffie team is showing up in bits and pieces, but better late than never! And June's headed off to deflect the bludger which is currently headed straight for Katie! I wonder if she'll manage to block it . . ."

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Son of a--" The balls had been released and somehow Pamela had missed it. Apparently she had also managed to miss the memo about dressing up as Lion King characters. It looked like only June and Aliza were dressed up.

Shrugging, Pamela began her thoroughly loved task of hunting down the lightning fast, annoying, golden stupid snitch. She stopped a moment, though. For some unknown reason, Pamela just felt crabby all of a sudden. She couldn't figure out why she was feeling grumbly about playing her favourite position.

Counting down backward from ten, Pamela took a few calming breaths. She was under a lot of stress regarding stuff at home, but quidditch was her one chance to let it all go. So, that's what she resolved to do. "And this time I'm going to catch that bloody snitch if it kills me!" She exclaimed a little louder than she had meant. Then she began the hunt for real this time.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

Polly smiled Ravenclaw were in the lead. But Gryffindor were currently in posetion of the ball. Stephums bludger was heading their way and as Polly watched waiting for the bludger to hit she groaned when she saw the Gryffindor beater flying over to deflect the bludger.

There was currently little action in her end and Polly was kinda hoping that one of the quaffles would come up here she had a few special moves she was dying to try out.

Gryffindor Chaser

Aliza heard the crack of the bludger and turned around, trying to determine where it was coming from, it was then that she noticed that it was hurtling toward Katie, who had the quaffle. Oh no! she thought, Where are all the beaters? I knew I shouldn't have given up on playing beater in this game!! She didn't have much time to think though, before she saw Zazu arriving on the pitch - June was here! Great!

Unfortunately though, it didn't look like June was going to make it in time to deflect the bludger, she had to act fast! Short of yelling out to Katie she didn't think of much else to do, the only problem was that yelling out in that fashion didn't always work! Then it dawned on her, although it shouldn't have taken her so long - the play was named after the very person who she was pretending to be - Simba! But only then did she hear streams' commentating, trying not to break her concentration she yelled out, as loud as she possibly could, "SIMBA! Not Santa!" But taking the time to do that meant that she had even less time, she would just have to go for it!

She flew so that she was on top of Katie who was still desperately clutching on to the quaffle and grabbed Katie's head. She then performed a Simba's Sloth Save, basically doing a Sloth Grip Roll, but forcing it instead! As her and Katie were upside down she heard the bludger whistle past, right where their heads had been. The move was effective but not usually very comfortable - being flipped upside down from your head when you had no inkling that it was going to happen could sometimes even be painful. Thats why they didn't choose to use it very often. And there were other disadvantages to it too - the shock could sometimes cause you to lose your handling on the quaffle...

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June stared ahead of her as Aliza grabbed Katie into the Simba's Sloth Save. She hoped that Katie would be able to hold onto the quaffle, what with Aliza grabbing Katie's head. June would worry about it more, if she wasn't heading straight towards the air above their heads! For a moment, numerous thoughts flew around her head, all decisions, all babbling to be listened to. Dive - no! she'd hit Aliza and Katie! - Rise - but then Aliza and Katie might get hit by the end of her broom! - To the left - ... what was the point? - To the right - ... what was the point? - Straight ahead - BLUDGER!!! So June listened to the most reasonable voice in her head, which told her to fly straight ahead, after that bludger. Thank God that Aliza had kept Katie safe, but just because a bludger had been kept from hitting one of her teammates didn't mean that that bludger was no longer in existence!

"STAY DOWN!!!" June shouted, hoping that Aliza and Katie would hear her as she flew past. Though she had planned on staying straight, June couldn't help rising a tiny bit. Though it was irrational, she couldn't help feeling as if she needed a bit more space between herself and the two Chasers. As June shot over them, she held her breath, and when nothing horrid occurred, she exhaled a sigh of relief. Now... after that bludger! June slowly began to grin, the first moment of anxiety past. She loved Quidditch, she really did. As June raced towards the evasive bludger that had just missed Katie, she began to remember why that was so. The competition, of course, but also because of the interaction with so many people, and flying, and, without a doubt, the spirit. In what other game could you show up in Lion King costumes, playing Lion King music, just for fun? And that was the Gryffindor campaign this term, to make Quidditch fun. June hoped that they would succeed.

The Gryffindor Beater thought all those thoughts in the small space of time that elapsed while she reached the bludger. A play occurred in her head, a fun one and also, very Lion King-appropriate. June focused on the bludger ahead of her and didn't bring forward her bat. She clenched both hands around the handle of her broom and, when she had reached the bludger, after quickly looking down towards her target and up again, she swung her broom around, bringing the end of it crashing into the bludger. Aethera had recently been repainted with a glistening varnish, so June didn't have to worry about her breaking. Before the bludger could get too far after getting hit by her broom, June raised up her bat and brought it crashing down upon the bludger, simultaneously completing Zazu's Zinger and sending a possibly lethal bludger hurtling down towards Kim.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy sat there and watched as the Bludger flew ever closer to Katie but then June came in and saved her. June had let the Bludger hit her broom before sending it off with her own bat towards Kim. Stephy knew that she was going to have to react quickly if she was going to save her fellow Ravenclaw from a harmful blow. Stephy flattened her body against her broom and felt the wind push against her face.

Stephy watched as the Bludger made it's way towards Kim and was glad to see that she was going to be able to save Kim. Stephy quickly streghtened herself up on her broom and threw back her bat. She quickly scanned the pitch for someone to aim it at and the other Bludger quickly caught her attention. Taking a risk, Stephy threw back her bat and aim the Bludger right towards the other Bludger.

Stephy watched as the Bludger that she had just hit flew over to the second Bludger and they made contact. SHe then watched as they both then zoomed off into different direction, one towards Aliza and the other one towards Katie. "Cool" Stephy shouted out as she pulled her broom up and watched to see what would happen

(Gryffindor Beater)

Izzy rushed into the locker room and threw on her robes. Scrambling around the locker room she quickly spotted her bat in a secluded corner. Grabbing her bat and broom she ran out to the pitch. Feeling exhilarated she breathed in the fresh air and swung up onto her broom. For a few seconds Izzy blanked out, because she was so excited to be back on the Quidditich pitch.

Suddenly she saw two bludgers heading right toward two of the players on her team, quickly she sped off to hit one of them. Spanning the pitch she came across the bludger speeding towards Katie. Quickly, she smacked it right towards the Ravenclaw keeper. Now all I have to do is get June's attention to hit the other bludger, Izzy thought to herself.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

A whistle of air reached June’s ears and she turned, eager to pinpoint the source. She saw one – no, two! – bludgers heading straight for Katie and Aliza! June quickly sent a thank you up to any higher being that happened to be smiling down on the Gryffies today; the two Gryffindor Chasers were still close to each other, after Aliza had saved Katie from the first bludger. Thus, June wouldn’t have to possibly break a limb or two, trying to get the bludger away from them. However, she might break a limb or two anyway.

Anyway… June tucked her bat under her wings and buried her face in the warmth of her costume, as the wind lashed sharply at her. In case she wouldn’t be able to get to her friends in time, June screamed, “DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Hoping that the wind wouldn’t completely wipe away all traces of her soon-to-be hoarse voice, June mentally urged Aethera to fly faster. She clutched her broom tighter and Aethera responded to her touch, putting on another burst of speed.

Suddenly, Izzy appeared, almost out of nowhere, and reached the bludger that was leaning towards Katie. “Deserting Divergence!” June told her when she was close enough to be heard. In this play, the two Beaters of a team worked together to divert two bludgers that were flying together. June watched in satisfaction as Izzy hit the bludger away from Katie, and June raised her own bat. With a wham, June sent the bludger previously heading for Aliza, straight towards Elana.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie ducked as a bludger came her way, but she didn't need too. Her team's trusty beaters were on the case. Holding tight to the quaffle, she continued speeding towards the opposing teams hoops. She was closing in. However, she wasn't confident in her own aim. With a smile she looked at her fellow chasers and knew that one of them would have a plan.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

After what had seemed like hours of searching, she finally saw a gleam of gold off in the distance. It was the snitch. Determined this time, she urged her broom forward. She would not miss the opportunity to catch the snitch.

Thus far her searching had gone uninterrupted and unhindered. As she felt the chill wind blowing against her face, stinging it, she counted herself lucky. She did not know why no bludgers had been sent to her in this game. Thinking back, she really hadn't had much to worry about in that department. As she felt tiny needles piercing her cheeks, she prayed she could continue to not worry.

Maintaining watch through her peripheral vision for bludgers and keeping her ears open for any that she may not see, Pamela continued on. At long last, she was within feet of the snitch. Stretching out her right arm and grasping tight to the handle with her left, she prepared to at long last taste victory. Oh she had played games that won, but she'd never known the glory of catching the snitch. This was a victory within herself only.

Just as she was about to close her fingers around the tiny and, surprisingly, stationary ball, it shot to the right. She mirrored its movements. That was a mistake. Even as her hand closed around the snitch, she lost her balance and fell off her broom. Unfortunately, this victory would be marred by pain.
