Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See this post for more info.

(Gryffindor Chaser and Co-captain)

Not having been able to sleep all night because of the excitement, Cris got out of bed before the sun even went up and had paced around the Gryffindor common room with her broom by her side, going through all the possible plays and random things that might happen during the game. She was nervous about this first game of the term, especially since she had been just named co-captain and also had to play Chaser for the first time after her own try-outs a year ago and wanted everything to go smoothly - it would be a good sign for the rest of the term. After a while, more waiting had seemed pointless, so she went down to the locker room and got dressed.

The feeling of expectation before the match was driving her crazy - she felt like doing something but found herself pacing around the second time in the course of the same morning, which was probably not healthy at all. Trying to calm down, she sat down on the bench where the team usually sat for various pep-up-talks before games and looked around the room. It was too empty, she noticed. Except for some old Gryffindor team posters, there was nothing to cheer it up a bit and do something positive for the players' mood before their matches. Making a mental note to decorate it properly as soon as the current game was over, she drew an empty piece of paper out of her pocket and accio-ed her coloured pencils....

Smiling, she felt the mere act of drawing relax her thoroughly and when she had finished, she was able to stroll onto the Quidditch pitch and rise up into the air as gently as a lazy cat on a sunny and warm Sunday morning.

In the locker room, right over the entrance to the Quidditch pitch, now hung a merry little picture of the whole Quidditch team in Cris-o-vision-manga-version, with a short caption underneath: "GOOD LUCK!"

(Gryffindor seeker)

Pamela woke up later than she had wanted. It's not like she was running late or anything, she just had wanted more time to have a leisurely breakfast. After a quick shower, she put on the red and gold striped track pants with matching jacket. The jacket had her name and position printed on the back. Not that anyone would see it through her robes. It was a gift from her grandfather who, although he didn't quite understand the way quidditch was played, was nonetheless proud of her for making the team.

After finishing up her warm-up stretches, Pamela searched through her trunk for one of her breakfast bars. She hated those things--the high sugar content made her teeth hurt--but she had to eat something. Then she grabbed her Firebolt, feeling a slight twinge of guilt at the thought of the Nimbus model her grandfather had bought her when she made prefect. But her trusty Firebolt was a much better broom. She would save the new one as back-up and for practices.

When she made it to the locker room she put on her robe, scarf, and gloves. Then she did a last quick check on her hair and used a charm she had learned just the other day to hold her spikes in place (her scalp thanked her for not needing to use so much product anymore). After the usually sigh when she saw the grey streaks that were already coming in far earlier than was the average for most, she made her way toward the door. She smiled at the sign that had been made to wish the team good luck. It was very well done.

Mounting her broom she flew over to where the only other team member was. "Hi, Cris! Was that your sign? It's really good," Pamela said. She was doing everything she could to maintain a level of calm. It was her first game as the official seeker, and she was alarmingly nervous.

(Gryffindor beater and Co-Captain)

June took in a deep breath as she pulled on her Quidditch robes. This was it, the first game of the new term, and it was against Hufflepuff. Last year, Hufflepuff had had a great team, and June hoped that this term, Gryffindor would be able to hold onto the Quidditch Cup. That thought put a smile on her face and as she grabbed her bat and broom, June began to hum happily. Lately, she'd become a tad obsessed - well, alright, a bit more than a tad - with the French musical Roméo et Juliette: de la Haine á l'Amour... at least she thought that was its whole name. Thanks to her new obsession, she was humming the first strains of "Les Rois du Monde" as she deftly snapped in her 'Gryffie' hairclip. That done, June turned to walk out onto the Quidditch Pitch, but was instantly stopped in her tracks as she saw the large sign that hung above the exit. It was the current Team, with the words 'GOOD LUCK' written on it. June grinned; from the style, it looked as if Japanese-obsessed Cris had drawn it... June'd have to thank her later.

She exited the Gryffie Locker Room and found herself outside. Instantly, she was overwhelmed with a chilly breeze, carrying the smells of fresh-cut grass and wind. June smiled; it was great to be back playing again. She mounted her broom and kicked off, flying in smooth spirals into the air. Her right hand clutched her bat and her left held her broom. For a brief moment, June felt strange playing the same position for two terms in a row, but quickly dismissed the feeling with a mental wave of the hand. She acknowledged the fact that two Gryffies were already in the air with a smile, and waved to them as she flew over. "Hey Cris, hey Pamela!" she cried. June recognized the feeling spreading through her, the feeling of delirious happiness and excitement.

"Hey there, June! Did you see the sign? It was brilliant," Pamela said. Being back in the air on the pitch had helped to decrease some of her nervousness. She was quite grateful for that; she didn't really want to shake herself right off her broom.

Pamela did hope that some members off the Hufflepuff team would be able to make it. She was quite curious to see who they had assembled this term. "Well I'm going to go do some warm-up flying," Pamela said after a bit. "Good luck, you two!"

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose happily got changed into her quidditch robes and grabbed her new Nimbus 3,000. It wasn't the best, but it was a gift from Trevor, and that made it super important to her.

The Hufflepuff seeker ran onto the pitch, looking around. June and Cris where already there, warming up. So was the Gryffindor seeker. Rose smiled. This was not her first time being on the Hufflepuff quidditch team. In fact, this was not her first time being the seeker. So, unlike last year, Rose was feeling confident.

She waved at Pamela, then stuck her broom between her legs, kicked off the ground, and flew over to her. "Hey", she said nicely. "You the Gryffindor seeker? I wish you luck! I'm Hufflepuff's seeker."

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June nodded to Pamela and replied, "I definitely saw the sign! It looks great; Cris made it, didn't she?" At Pamela's declaration, June nodded again and answered back, "Good luck to you, too!" She watched for a moment as her friend began to warm up, and June turned to Cris, smiling. "Are you excited?" she asked. Suddenly, June's attention was caught by a blur of yellow hurtling into the air. She turned her head and a grin began to spread across her face. A Hufflepuff was there; hopefully, the game would begin soon.

June turned her head at the sound of a familiar voice, and focused on a figure speaking into a microphone. Elana! June waved, not sure if she could be seen, but happy that the commentator was here. Often, when a game wasn't going well, though June hoped today wouldn't be an example, a commentator could make the atmosphere much lighter.

(Referee)

Raistlin arrived in the pitch running, he had just received and OWL from Amy asking him to go release the balls to start the quidditch game as she was stuck in the Floo Network traffic.

Carrying the box with the balls in one arm and his broom in the other he stopped in the middle of the pitch and put the box on the ground. Opening the box he unstrapped the two fighting bludgers which went fiercely up in the sky hunting for players bones. Then he grabbed the small snitch which opened its wings and vanished in a second. Lastly he grabbed the red quaffle, mounted his broom and flew to the players.

"Teams are you ready?" he shouted. Without waiting for an answer he threw the Quaffle upwards and blew his whistle "The game has begun!" he shouted once more and flew away from the Quaffle's path.

"That's me!" Pamela said. "Good luck." Pamela hadn't been warming up long when the referree came onto the pitch and released the quaffle. That wasn't Pamela's concern, though. She saw the snitch for a split second before it took off and disappeared.

The bludgers were also released and, while they weren't her goal, they were something she needed to pay attention for. She really didn't want her beloved Firebolt to be at risk, and she guessed her bones were a concern too.

It didn't take long for Pamela to decide that hovering in one spot wasn't going to help her. Pamela's friend's mother always called her homing device. Hopefully her reputation for finding things easily would hold true. "Go, go Gryffindor!" She shouted, as she took off to begin circling the pitch, always on guard for the snitch.

(Hufflepuff BEater)

:Etta strolled onto the pitch with her head in hands as she cast her eyes around the players in the air. Witha sinking heart she threw her broom forward and began to run fast, mounting it with speed and a jump she flew flawlessly into the air and gained great heights within a matter of seconds.

"Hi Rose," smiled Etta at the seeker. "Thanks, i mean that from the bottom of my heart."

Attempting to push away her own disappointment and concentrate and providing Gryffindor with a game, Etta pulled her trusty Beater's Bat from the vast depths of her Quidditch robes. A flash of Black appeared from her leg and with a slight blush, Etta rearranged her robes to hide the badger suit she had donned for this occasion.

"Its clobberin time," she muttered to herself as she narrowed her eyes and began to seek out a victim. Her eyes fell onto Gryffindor's Seeker but even Etta didnt have it within herself to attack the new player. Taking a deep bretah she decided to do the only decent thing she could think of, case down a bludger and hit someone, anyone, with it.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June narrowed her eyes at the sight of someone coming onto the pitch who was neither a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, or Amy. She smiled as she finally recognized the figure. Rai! Taking in the box and broom that he carried, she assumed that he'd be starting the game today. June tensed on her broom, her bat at the ready, and when the bludgers were released, she instantly took off. Her heart skipped a beat as she accelerated, trying to trail one of the bludgers, and June lay flat on her broom against the wind. She distantly thanked a higher level being for reminding her to tie her hair up. With the wind as it was today, she'd have had tons of knots to untangle after the game... But that was neither here nor there; she had a bludger to catch.

Slowly moving her bat from her side out in the air, June clutched it tightly, not wanting the wind to rip it out of her hands. The bludger was in front of her, twisting and turning, flying erratically. June urged her beloved broom on, silently begging for another burst of speed, and smiled as it complied with her request. Almost there... June raised her bat, deciding to start off simply. Grinning maliciously at the bludger, June swung her bat, hitting the bludger. The expected vibration crept up her arm as June followed the bludger's projected path towards the Hufflepuff Seeker. Suddenly, a new blur of yellow flew into the air, and June turned in time to see Etta, and... was she wearing a badger suit? June laughed and waved to her friend, before turning to look for another bludger.

(Gryffindor seeker)

Pamela tensed when she saw that one of the Hufflepuff beaters had made it. She was familiar with the Hufflepuff reputation for being rather brutal. It looked like Pamela would just have to watch her back. While she was taking a moment to re-gather her nerves, she saw a faint gold blur. It was gone before she got the chance to really see it. "Damn," she muttered under her breath.

Once ready, she began her hunt for the snitch again. Now she also kept an extra close watch for the path of the bludgers. She smiled as she saw June hit one. It was heading straight for the Hufflepuff seeker. This might get interesting.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Abandoning her attempts to find a Bludger, Etta's eyes focused on the one heading straight for Rose.

kicking her feet hard and pushing her broom faster then it had been willing to go in the previous Quidditch Season, Etta managed to reach Rose before the bludger. the only problem was, she was on the wrong side of the seeker.

"BADGER ROLL!" Etta screamed at Rose, as she pushed the seeker over to one side, and flinging her body over the seeker's broom, Etta smacked the bludger with her platinum covered bat and sent it riccoheying towards the Gryffindor Seeker.

"BROOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!" squawked Etta as she began to fall to earth, suddenly resembling a bat mid flight. Wondering if the voice calling charm she'd placed on the broom would work, Etta could only pray as she began to plummet.

Pamela watched in shock as Etta began to fall. She heard Etta call the broom, and wondered if the attempt would be futile. She wanted to do something to help, but she didn't know if there was really anything she could do. She hated the thought of one of the other team members being out of commission this early in the game. Saying a little prayer to whomever may be listening, she resumed her search.

(Hufflepuff BEater)

:Hearing the whoosh of air in her ears and the wind on her body as gravity pulled her down, Etta almost fell asleep as she began to fall into a calm of acceptance which had haunted her for two days previous to this match.

It was only when she heard a crack and opened her eyes, that she realised just how much she and her broom had connected during the short break from the Quidditch season. Not only was about to save her sorry butt, but it had also attacked her loyal and wonderful, and unfortunately also a gryffindor, daughter Aliza.

The cool hard wood flew under her body, Etta grasped onto her broom, wrapping her legs loving around the smooth timber and kissing its shiney surface, pointing her broom upwards, Etta regained control.

Rushing past aliza, Etta stopped speeding and halted her broom to check on her daughter. Looking at Aliza's head she pressed her index finger into the part where her broom had made its contact.

"Cool..." cooed Etta to her broom, patting Aliza on her shoulder and reassuring her that she would live to spend another allowance. "BLUDGER!" Etta shouted as her eyes spotted one near enugh to her. "VICTIM!" she yelped wickedly as her eyes drifted on to Emma the Gryffindor Keeper.

Speeding once more, Her bat held high, her eyes filed with gleeful menace and insanity, Etta made for the Bludger.

"EVIL BADGER!" Etta squealed with delight as she gained on the Bludger, her arm bat already beginnning to vibrate within her hand as she swung her arm backwards and forwards gaining more speed and power. Contacts was made witihn seconds, if you blinked, you'd have missed it, of course the huge THACK the connection made would be ringing within everyone's ears still come bedtime.

The Bludger was on course for Emma, Etta did not hang around to see if it made contact or was diverted, her eyes fell on the crowd.

"COME ON EVERYONE! LETS DO THE BADGER DANCE!!!!" she shouted as she jumped into a standing pistion on her broom, and having gained her balance, she began to lead the crowd into the dance routine that was well known and loved within the Hufflepuff Common Room.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June's mouth made a large 'O' at the sight of a bludger heading away from Rose and towards Pamela. June quickly did a mental estimate, and realized that there was no way she could get across the pitch in time. Well... she had to at least try... June flattened herself against her brown, crossing her arms and legs around the handle, and urged her broom on. It gained speed and though June struggled to breath in the position she was in at the moment, she knew that it would be terribly inconvenient if she fainted right then and there, and struggled to hold on. As black spots began to appear in her vision, a familiar player clad in red flew in front of Pamela and... knocked the bludger away! June sat up a little, just enough to regain her complete vision, and realized that, in fact, Prinny had hit the bludger away from Pamela. June breathed a sigh of relief and slowed down a bit as she massaged her forehead. Ow... now she had a headache... Well, she'd never try going that fast again.

Suddenly, June heard Etta screaming something about a bludger and a victim... Not good. Whenever Etta screamed, it was almost never good for the opposing team, at least. June looked towards the Hufflepuff Beater and gulped as she saw a bludger heading straight towards Emma! June cursed at herself for taking so long to recover, and, holding her bat aloft, streaked towards the Gryffindor goal posts. "Watch out, Emma!!!" she screamed, waving her bat. She bet she looked like a madwoman, but June didn't care, as long as she got to Emma before that bludger did. Racing towards the black ball, June began looping the air with her bat, striving to gain momentum as she propelled herself forward on her broom. With a loud CRACK!, June's bat collided with the bludger, sending it hurtling towards Rose, the Hufflepuff Seeker. She coughed and grinned, but then quickly frowned. Why did Aliza look... hurt?! June flew towards her friend and said, "Are you okay?"

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta heard the whack of the bludger and bat connecting, she knew it wasn't a good combination. Jumping, she did a one hundred and eighty degree turn, did the splits and dropped down onto her broom, her eyes turned to the bludher and...the bat?!?!

Smiling inwardly at her daughter's dedication for revenge, Etta knew Aliza still had a long way to go.

"We didnt create the Badger hide for nothing," muttered Etta as she flung herself to the left, her legs gripping the broom tightly, she soon foound herself dangling upside down, and Aliza was below her. The bludger flew straight over where Etta's head had been.

The Beater's bat o the other hand, did Etta a huge favour. It hit the broom, and hard. Much to Etta's dismay for all of two seconds,when she realised why aliza was sitting under her. The force of the hit to the broom, sent Etta spinning, thinking quick, which is hard with blood rushing to your brain, Etta flung out her own Beater's bat, keeping a tight grip on it and mid spin, hit Aliza's silly useless wooden bat.

The gryffindor's bat cracked in two and sent a small shower of splinters down towards Aliza's head.

Congratulating herself for such a neat save and wondering if she add an extra zero t the end of Aliza's allowance, or two, Etta regained control of the broom and swung her body upwards.

"Lovely try dear, but you need to not think about your move, act on the evil within your blood child, then you shall truly be my daught----" Etta was saying before broom took offense at the gloating and shot off in the opposite direction, leaving Etta gasping for breath.

(Gryffindor seeker)

Pamela watched, a little shocked, as Etta stood on her broom and began to dance. "Okay. I think that's a bit risky," Pamela muttered to herself. Ah well. To each his own. It wasn't long before it became obvious that standing on one's broom isn't wise. Etta now had a bludger coming toward her, and the bat would fly beneath her. She wondered if Aliza's letting go of the bat was truly accidental.

Suddenly it didn't matter. Nothing did. She had seen the snitch. She had to play it safe. It was a good thing there was a lot of activity going on. The other seeker may not notice that Pamela now had a look of intense concentration on her face as she pushed her broom toward the side of the pitch with the Gryffindor goal posts. She could only hope.

(Gryffie Beater and Co-Captain)

June stared. And stared. Her mum and grandmother had officially gone around the bend. June sighed, but couldn’t help laughing as Aliza threw her bat towards Etta, after the bludger. She smiled in admiration at Etta’s evasion, and gasped when Aliza’s bat was splintered. Oh… June hoped that Aliza had something up her sleeve to get herself out of that sticky situation… June would offer Aliza her own and go get her spare, except for the fact that she was using her spare, after her previous bat had gotten splintered in a game last term… against Hufflepuff. What a surprise. June flew closer to Ettie and Aliza, in time to catch her grandmother’s last words.

‘I wonder if that applies to granddaughters as well,’ June thought, and as Etta sped off in what looked to be a random direction, June flew after her. She laughed as she gradually caught up to the woman-who-disliked-the-title-of-grandmother, but stopped laughing as a sound caught her ears. The whistle of air… June turned her head in time to spot a bludger heading towards her from the right, and June smiled mischievously. Perfect! She’d planned on getting a bludger later on, but now was perfectly find as well. As the bludger neared her, June didn’t budge from her current path, making it easy for the bludger to fly closer and closer.

It was almost at her now, and June was now flying a bit above Etta. She raised her bat and hit the bludger downwards, though not straight at Ettie. Following the bludger down next to her granny, June hit the bludger again, almost horizontally this time, now following it beneath the Hufflepuff. Following this pattern, June proceeded to hit a circle around Etta before hitting the bludger once more, only this time, straight at her granny. Not thinking about future consequences for example, getting getting locked into a cage or getting her allowance taken away, June shrieked, "BOO!" into Etta's ear before breaking away from the circle and hurtling away, hoping to escape the revenge that she knew was inevitable.

Pamela was keeping an eye out for a bludger as she flew across the pitch. She didn't want to go too fast, and make it obvious what she was doing. This was proving to be the most brutal game she'd seen thus far, and it figured that it would be one she was playing.

Since both bludgers seemed to be busy, she wasn't concerned about what might happen to her. Instead, she decided to loop a bit to the right, so maybe she would just look like she was merely searching. As long as no one noticed that her eyes were staying in one spot despite what she and her broom were doing, no one would be the wiser. If she played it right it would, at worst, look like she had lost it and had begun circling the pitch again to find it.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta's heart skipped a rather huge beat when June shouted Boo. Etta tumbled sideways off her broom and began to fall, this time she did not waste her shouts calling for her broom.

The twelve inch scare on Etta's chest began to show as the force of the earths pull on her body loosened her robes and badger suit to reveal a small stretch of scar. As her heart took its final beats, Etta pulled her bat closer to her chest.

Kissing the tilt of the bat, she pushed down inside her robes and smiled knowingly that no-one would ever touch her bat for it would arrive safely in her final resting place.

Her eyes blazed with inner peace. Her mouth opened to utter for final words.

"I disown you Aliza and your brats, may you never tell them the real reason of how you drove Milo out of your arms into the arms of Amber and Hayden," she shouted louldy with an eerie calm. "And before i forget, your divorce papers are in the safe within Hufflepuff house, i couldnt burnt hem like you begged, he signed, its over, your alone."

And with that said....

"And Hufflepuff shall live on for ever, GLORY WILL BE OURS!"

And with that said....

"DADDY AVENGE ME!"

....and with that said Etta closed her eyes.

And began to snore as the wind tickled her head.

(gryffindor seeker)

She couldn't help it. Pamela was distracted. She hoped that Etta was just being dramatic, but she knew that a drop like that could be distastrous. As she had, of course, lost the snitch. She took off back to where Etta was falling. She still watched for a reappearance of the snitch, but she was a bit worried about the beater.

(Gryffindor Chaser and Co-captain)

"Hi, Cris! Was that your sign? It's really good," Pamela had told her, at which Cris blushed slightly and answered, "Yep, and I'm glad you liked it!". Then she got asked by June whether she was excited - of course she wasn't, she was calm in person! Well. Maybe not really. But it didn't matter...., did it?

In any case she seemed to be calm enough to be able to randomly doze off and was only woken up by Rai's whistle. "Let people sleep, will you?!", she thought rubbing her eyes. The sleepless night had obviously done her no good...

She stretched and yawned a bit more, but the sleepiness had worn away as she watched the mad bludger game that was going on right now - it was indeed as great way of raising her adrenalin and her alertness. As a result, she was now dying to play, too - where was that Quaffle again?! Oh, now the long break from laying Chaser was showing, she thought slightly angry with herself, as her eyes fell onto the red ball hovering in mid-air just over the spot in the middle of the field where Raisty had released it.

Were Quaffles supposed to hover? She had a feeling they didn't, but she wasn't going to debate on it - this one was, and it was right there under her nose, waiting for her to take her, what was she waiting for?

She carefully floated down to it, placed her hands under it and clenched it tightly under her right arm. Was that it? So easy? No-one competing for it? "Awesome!", she thought joyfully and started flying leisurely towards the Hufflpuff goalpost when...

.. she suddenly felt a shadow over her. "Oh no, I hope it's not going to rain, she thought looking skywards. Her mouth fell. It wasn't a cloud, it was a ... falling grandma? Erm, Ettie?! She had somehow noticed Ettie's fall, that was true.. but she hadn't thought of the possibility of having Etta land on her, it was madness! As if a falling Ettie wasn't a problem in itself, she seemed to be asleep, too ..

But there was no time to stop and stare - she had an Ettie falling on her, for heaven's sake! So she didn't take the time to think of a smart way of saving her and just opened her arms broadly and let Etta fall onto them.

The next few seconds went really fast, as Cris was forced to bend backwards because of the shock of a landing Ettie, her broom was trying to oppose the momentum that Ettie had gained while falling, and in the next moment, Ettie-holding Cris was almost falling backwards off her broom and there would be no-one to save both of them. She somehow had to balance their weight on the broom, while slowly descending and hoping Ettie would wake up soon, be okay and be able to fly herself soon...

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose felt a bit angry seeing that all the bludgers where headed for her. She was thankful that Etta had saved her the first time.

The Hufflepuff seeker scanned the pitch for Pamela, seeing her over on the other side. Rose watched her for a minute, thinking that she had seen the snitch, but then the Gryffindore's expression seemed to change slightly. Rose followed her gaze, only to see Etta plummeting towards the earth. She rolled her eyes and sighed. Etta...

"Yo! Don't get killed! Not until the games over, anyways!"

Not knowing if the Hufflepuff Beater had herd her or not, Rose did a few figure eights, up and down. Where was that flippen golden ball?

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"Be still my beating heart," gasped Etta as she woke up in the arms of..."Cris?!?!"

Looking around, Etta noticed her broom still hovering and the coldness of her bat against her chest. Groaning has hugged her little friend tightly.

"You should have let me dieeeeeeeee," she shrieked after a moment. "I wanted to pop it in style!"

Etta thought for a moment that she sounded ungrateful and smiled softly. "Thank you, here," she added, reaching into her robe pocket and pulling out her husbands cheque book. "Would one hundred thousand galleons be a big enough allowance?"

"BROOM!" she shouted whilst she waited for Cris to reply. With the cheque book in one hand, the pen in her mouth, Etta reached within her robes and pulled out her bat. With big wide eyes she looked at Cris and waited for not only a reply but her own Broom's appearance, should it wish to forgive her and return.

(Hufflepuff seeker....no wait, now chaser)

Rose's mouth dropped open as she watched Etta take out check book. What is wrong with that woman?

Then a wadded up piece of paper hit Rose right between the eyes. TONK! She grabbed it quickly before it fell to the ground and unfolded it. She read it-

Rose,
Switch over to chaser. Don't worry, it's fine.

Etta

For a moment Rose stared blankly at the paper, then shrugged. Whatever.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Rose swallowed hard and closed her eyes. Ok. Chaser, chaser, chaser.....
She refreshed her memories on what they do, seeing that she had never been a chaser before. Eventually, she opened her eyes and searched for the quaffle. She found one over in the far corner, nice and free. She flew over to it and tucked it between her ankles. then turned towards the Gryffindor goal posts. Flying full speed at Emma, Rose came right up to the posts and, stopping suddenly, flipped backwards, releasing the quaffle between her legs. It flew strait at Emma, just a blur in the air.

Rose smiled. Hopefully Emma would just dodge it and let it go in.

( Hufflepuff - Seeker)

Kaitlyn pulled on her robes and ran onto the Field.. She had been called into the game just a few minuets ago and she had to hurry. With Rose being a Chaser now Kaitlyn was now playing Seeker. Last season she was a Keeper and this would be her first game as being a Seeker.

Taking off into the sky Kaitlyn looked around. She noticed that there was a lot of action. She had just seen Etta fall and that was the main cause of the commotion. Now that, that was over with Kaitlyn looked at the Score Bord.. " 0 to 0 wow this late in the game too." She thought. Pulling on her goggles she looked for the Gryffindor Seeker Pamela, once she spotted her she noticed that she was not chasing after the Snitch. Kaitlyn flew a couple of feet higher in the sky and looked for a shinny golden dot. Her eyes where not practiced as they should be seeing as it was the first game in the season and she had not had time to warm up. Kaitlyn look this time to circle around the field searching for the Snitch and the only thing she could find moving was the bludgers that looked active in this game.. " What a rough game" Kaitlyn thought as she flew around...

A few minuets passed when Kaitlyn was getting Bord looked for something that wasn't there. She didn't know how fast or what tactics the other Seeker would take for a Snitch.. " I should see what Pamela can do." She thought as she griped her broom and started on a dive that would seem as she had seen the Snitch. " This surly will work." Kaitlyn thought as she dove.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Chelle ran onto the pitch, red faced from running and without thiking, jumped onto her broom and circled the pitch a couple of times to get her whereabouts.

She saw Etta and swallowed hard and flew over to her, appoligising for her lateness and whispering about any beater moves as she kept her eye on the oposition

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June smiled as more Hufflepuff players took to the air, though her smile instantly turned into a frown at the sight of Rose grabbing the quaffle from the air, when Cris had last had it.... June narrowed her eyes and instantly began searching for a bludger. She rose higher and higher in the air in order to get a better vantage point, and as a black blur caught her eye, June smirked as a thought came to her. The bludger was darting around in the center of the pitch, and June, stowing her bat beneath her robes, dove for it. She clutched her broom handle tightly with both hands as the black ball came closer and closer.. Suddenly, it decided that it didn't want to stay in its current direction. June cursed as the bludger swerved to her right, and braked quickly, before turning in that direction. She shivered as she picked up speed; sure, the sun was out, but it was still so cold...

As June followed the bludger, it began making a number of twists, turns, and curves, and June glared at it in annoyance. To keep up with it, June began to execute a number of corkscrew turns, sharp rises and dives, and loops that ranged from small to wide. She was almost on the bludger now... June took a brief second to look for the nearest victim, and glared at the sight of Rose throwing the quaffle - June was still uncertain about how she'd gotten it from Cris - and decided that the Hufflepuff See - no, Chaser - was as good a target as any other. June focused one eye on the bludger and one eye on Rose, though she wasn't exactly sure how she managed that, raised her bat, and swung. The bludger sped, urged on by the hit, towards Rose's back, and June watched grimly on, wondering if Rose would be able to dodge in the precious little amount of time she had.

(Hufflepuff BEater)

:Etta's broom arrived rather slowly, as if it were a stubborn teenager, scarp that, more like a Severus Snape when he learned Lily was dating James.

Sighing with relief, Etta climbed onto her broom, hugged Cris and stuck the cheque into the hand of the Gryffindor chaser.

"Thank you my lovely!" She smiled, gaining control of her broom she kicked off hard in a desperate attempt to reach Rose before June's Bludger did. "Come on broomio, lets go smash things," she added desperatly as she pressed her body as flat against the broom as possible.

Realsing she was ot going to reach for little Huffie friend, Etta did the only thing she could think of.

"ROSE DUCK!" she screamed as the bludger closed in on the chaser.

(Huffle Beater)

Chelle glanced over towards Rose and heard Etta shout her warning, yet Rose didnt seem to have heard.

Do something Chelle she thought, racking her brains for something, anything, when a thought struck her.

As Etta continued to fly in one direction towards Rose, Chelle flew upwards diagnally towards the other bludger, twisting in the air and flying straight into its path, hoping it would work. Just as the bludger was about to hit her, she swung her bat and whacked it hard towards rose, hoping that the large gust of wind would set it slightly off course.

It worked, as one bludger hit the other, a loud crack echoed over the pitch, the two bludgers flying in oposite directions as Rose seemed to glance up and realise what a near miss that was.

((Hufflepuff Keeper))

Kate ran onto the pitch frequently checking her watch. "Oh no. Oh no oh no!" She could NOT belive how late she was. Looking up at the scoreboard her heart gave a little leap. It was still nil nil. Yes! She thought as she looked around.

Taking one more look behind her, Kate jumped onto her broom and soared into the sky. This was what being a witch was all about.

As Kate reached the goal posts she sat and watched the game. There was no sight of the Quaffle coming anywhere near her yet. She relaxed a bit more and settled into her first Quiditch match.

Rose felt jogged out of her mind as the bludgers hit each other and burst away from her. She swallowed realizing how close that was. She waved to Etta.

"Thanks for the heads up."

Then she smiled at Chelle.

"Thanks for the save."

Rose darted around a few feet, then noticed Kate arriving on the field. Ah, great, she thought. We now have our Keeper. But Rose's happiness's was quickly disrupted by a whooshing sound, getting closer and closer.

Then, it all happened so fast. Rose turned her head slightly to see a round, dark blur flying at her. She didn't even ave time to blink.
WHACK!!!!
The bludger hit her in the right hand so hard she felt it crack, break, probably shatter. Pain surged threw Rose as she cupped her hand to her chest and gave her all to stay on the broom, to not lose balance. The pain was horrible. The Hufflepuff Chaser felt all hell being targeted into her hand. Sweat began to trickle down her forehead, her pulse began to get faster. She felt herself losing her balance. Oh god, stay on. Don't give in to the pain, just stay on!

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

June slammed the palm of her hand onto her broom handle, glaring at Ellemanae. She muttered crazily to herself, plotting revenge, oh sweet revenge. As she flew around haphazardly, still glaring at Rose, June heard the words "Accio bat!". Thinking that perhaps some meddling spectator was trying to steal her bat, she looked around and located the voice. Her fears quieted; it was only Aliza... who now had a bat! June grinned, her bad mood almost dispelled, and watched as Aliza did a perfect Gryffie Gyrate. June's eyes followed Aliza's bludger and she smirked maliciously as it smashed into Roses's hand. Finally! After celebrating for a moment, June's mind got back on track.

Revenge... Vengeance... What she was getting vengeance for, June really wasn't quite sure, but it seemed like a good enough idea, heavens knows it was a fantastic song. June turned her head, searching for a bludger, and but strangely, there wasn't one in sight. She sighed in annoyance and waved her bat around, for the pure heck of it. Unconsciously, she began to conduct in time to a song that was currently running its way through her head. Replacing Les Rois du Monde, Aimer was now stuck in June's brain. It was quite contrary to her current feelings; a song about love when she was looking for vengeance? Huh... But conducting one of her favorite songs gave June an idea.

She took out her iPod from her robes, found Aimer, and flew over to Elana, who had that wonderful megaphone. "Can you play this?" June asked, and placed her headphones near the speaking-part of the megaphone. June flew away, a silly grin on her face, wondering what this would do to Rai, and laughed as she imagined the horrified look on his face. Humming to herself, her thirst for vengeance lessening, June spun on her broom and - "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Suddenly, jolted out of her happy mood, the Gryffindor stared in shock at the bludger in front of her and for a moment, she froze and felt as if she couldn't think. Not good! Must act! Mo-no-syll-a-bic think-ing! June turned her broom around and dove for a couple of feet. She looked up; the bludger was following her! She panicked, but suddenly realized that as a Beater, this could be turned to her advantage. June ascended a couple of feet and surveyed below her. There! Ellemanae! A target! June decided that this was as good a time as any to enact the Lion Leap of Faith. She gulped and part of her was convincing herself not to go through with this, but as the bludger loomed closer and closer, June knew that it was now or never. She shakily stood up on her broom and shivered as more height made her more vulnerable to the bitter wind. The bludger was almost at the right distance…

When June deemed the timing to be right, she jumped off her broom, heading for where the bludger would be within the next second, and slammed her bat down hard, sending the hard black ball hurtling down towards Ellemanae’s back. June shrieked as she fell through the air, hoping that her broom would realize how much she loved it. “AETHERA!!!!!!!!” June screamed, clutching to her bat for dear life, even though it couldn’t really help in this situation. And yes, June had actually named her broom. “Catch me!!!!!” June squealed, and suddenly, she got the wind knocked out of her as something long, thin, and hard collided with her stomach. June coughed and gagged, squeezing her eyes tightly shut.

For some reason, she wasn’t falling as quickly anymore… June painstakingly wrenched open an eye, and the second one son followed. Her broom… Aethera… had caught her! June rubbed her aching stomach as she slowly clamored onto her broom. “I love you!!!” June yelped happily, hugging her broom, and she could hear her own sentiments in Aimer.

Rose winced under the sound of Elana's voice roaring threw the speakers. Everything was making her hand hurt. Thankfully, she had managed to stay on her broom. She was still in the game, but very vulnerable.

((Hufflepuff Keeper))

As Kate looked around she suddenly saw the quaffle soaring towards her.

"Ok. You can do this" She whispered to herself encouragingly.

The ball was thrown within such close proximity to the goal it was an almost certain hit. However, thinking back to her days with her elder brothers, she preformed the triple back flip back hit. Its was a move she had invented for a competition back home. It was by far her favorite.

So. Thinking hard, Kate did three back flips as to gain pressure and to distract the chaser then hit the ball with so much force it flew strait to the other end of the pitch. It was a save.

YES! She thought. YES! one down. How ever many more to go!

Kate looked around her and saw all of her other players around her. This was home. This was where she was supposed to be.

Rose caught tossed away quaffle with her good hand. "Nice save, Kate!" she yelled. The chaser zoomed down the pitch towards the Gryffindor goals. Rose thought about doing a fancy Hufflepuff move, but then decided agent it, glancing at her swollen hand. She simply tossed the quaffle in the air as she neared the goals, spun her broom around, and hit it with the end, hurling it towards the nearest goal.

"Go in!" pleaded Rose, moaning.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Wait, I thought the seeker couldn't touch the....ah, she changed positions," Pamela said to no one in particular. Now the question was who would be the seeker. She saw Kaitlyn join the Hufflepuff team in the air. After a bit, it was clear that she had replaced Rose as the seeker. Well, this was getting a bit confusing. Shrugging it off, she continued her search for the snitch.

That was when she saw Kaitlyn go into an abrupt steep dive. "Shoot!" Pamela pushed her broom toward where Kaitlyn was diving. Then she followed her into the dive. Pamela couldn't see the snitch, but maybe Kaitlyn was blocking her view. It wasn't long before Pamela's Firebolt brought her right next to Kaitlyn's left side.
