Dare the Master

First topic message reminder :

Holly placed the sign "Dare the Master" on the table top and sat on one of the two vacant seats behind it.
She was in behind a portrait on the seventh floor, and ready to be dared.
In front of her was the advertisement she had placed around school and in Hogsmede, "COME DARE THE DARER, Holly Bristol will do just about any dare you dare her to. Three sickles for each dare Holly completes. Seventh floor. First come first serve,"

"Shadow...can you hear me!" Natalie screamed, her head burning, "do something! TURN HER ROUND! Don't let her see it! IT WILL RUIN HER LIFE! This is your oportunity to give Holly a decent life! PLEASE!"

"Oh God," said Hayley, and hoped whatever it was Natalie was seeing, it wouldn't enter Holly's mind.

"Holly...please...no...Shadow...please!" said Natalie, too breathless from crying to yell anymore.

Holly panicked and backed away, following Hayley, hoping wherever Shadow was, she was listening.

Hayley sat on the floor, unable to do anything. 'Please don't let her see it, please don't let her see it...' she thought.

"Oh...horrible....don't look...Holly," said Natalie, looking faint now, face ghostly white.

Hayley got up, prepared to catch Natalie if she fainted.

"Look anywhere but there Hols...for yourself...TO LIVE YOUR LIFE PROPERLY!" Natalie yelled.

Hayley nodded furiously at Holly. "Save yourself," she said, then looke dpitifuly at Natalie.

Hayley was still scared. 'What would happen now?' she thought.

Holly didnt have any memories of that night....there was a kind, cloaked figure at the scene, and her parents had left....but other than that.....there was no blood.

'Don't let her see...' Hayley repeated the same phrase over and over again in her mind. She walked over to comfort Natalie, who was very upset.

Holly swallowed and glanced around for Shadow.

"Thank-you....thank-you...Holly can live now," said Natalie, and she fainted.

Hayley caught Natalie, and lowered her gently onto the ground. She looked at Holly, not knowing what to do.

"Um, common room?" she suggested, and took Natalie off Hayley.

"Aye," Hayley replied.

"Wheres Shadow though?" Holly said, not eager to leave without her.

Natalie woke up as she heard this question.

"In the past," said Natalie breathlessly.

"NatNerd say wha?" George and Holly said in unison.

"I can see her....thats why you don't remember what really happened...she managed to chage that past," said Natalie fondly thinking about what a good friend Shadow was. She smiled, and sincerely hoped Shadow could see it, "I think I've turned into like a human walkie-talkie," smiled Natalie.

Hayley as usual was confused with the goings-on.

"Ew," Holly said at human walkie-talkie.

"Okay," said the confused Hayley

"Hayley...you don't understand...do you? Ok....I'll tell you what I think just happened...I think I was seeing what Shadow could see...and if I'm not mistaken, she's just changed the past," said Natalie, still thanking Shadow over and over again in her head.

"Alright," Holly said.

"Oh," said Hayley. "I get it now," then she shook her head. "What did she change?" she asked nervously.

"What Holly saw...or didn't see...on that day," said Natalie with a meaningful look at Hayley. Then she turned to Holly.

"Can you remember....what can you see now?" asked Natalie.

Hayley nodded, then turned to Holly, waiting in anticipation for her answer.

"I cant remember anything bad," she said honestly, "Im confizzled,"

"Hmm," said Hayley. "Do yous wanna go up tio the common room?" she said.

"You can start living your life without fear now Holly Bristol," said Natalie, eye's filling with tears if happiness for her friend.

"Yeah," said Hayley.

"THanks," Holly said, not quite sure of what was happening.

"George...will you do the honours?" Natalie asked.

Raven ran to the scene, looking around desperately. Shadow appeared in the middle of the room before promptly collapsing. Raven knelt beside her, putting her in a more comfortable position before sitting back, waiting for her to wake up again.

Hayley gasped as Shadow flew in, and had no idea what was going on.

Raven looked up at everyone.
"Is some one gonna explain why my sister is completely drained of magic and energy?" She asked coolly.

"She...she went back in time, or something, to help Holly, we were just about to leave, and then, you cam in, and," Hayley was confused and looked helpless, "I don't really...know,"

Raven rolled her eyes and turned back to Shadow, watching over her.

"What's wrong with her?" asked Hayley, stupidly.

"Teleporting in time takes a lot, and I mean a lot, of energy. She's used all her reserves of magic, and also energy." Raven said.

Hayley frowned and shook her head. "I'm very grateful," she said, "She did it to help Holly."

Raven shook her head.
"Shadow, I knew that you'd do something stupid like that." She muttered.

"All to help a friend," replied Hayley managing a small smile.
