Dare the Master

First topic message reminder :

Holly placed the sign "Dare the Master" on the table top and sat on one of the two vacant seats behind it.
She was in behind a portrait on the seventh floor, and ready to be dared.
In front of her was the advertisement she had placed around school and in Hogsmede, "COME DARE THE DARER, Holly Bristol will do just about any dare you dare her to. Three sickles for each dare Holly completes. Seventh floor. First come first serve,"

Raven turned back to look at Hayley.
"Well, put it this way, I will be having words with her when she comes round again."

Hayley again had a small smile on her face. "Protective sister? Same as me," she said, "If Daisy does something wrong, she gets a scolding from me,"

"We swore to protect each other." Raven said.

Hayley nodded. "Takes guts. To constantly protect your sister. Your very brave people,"

"Shadow does a great job. She's been looking after me here so that I don't embarrass myself. I'm never there for her though." Raven said softly.

"I'm sure you try your best," replied Hayley comfortingly.

"Some times, our best just isn't good enough." Raven said.

Hayley looked at the floor, not sure what to say.

Raven returned her gaze to Shadow, who was beginning to stir again.

Hayley looked round. "She okay?" she asked.

"Well, I've got one hell of a head ache." Shadow said softly, her eyes closed, frowning.

"Oh," said Hayley frowning. "But other than that?"

"I don't know." Shadow said, sitting up. She groaned, holding her head.

Hayley nodded.

"So... How are you all?" Raven said, trying to make a conversation.

"Well, I'm fine.....I suppose," she smiled weakely. "You?" she asked.

"Fine." Raven replied.

Hayley nodded smiling. "You Shadow?" She could have guessed what the answer would be.

Shadow just glared at her. Raven bit back a laugh.
"Not the best question to ask." Raven said.

Hayley smiled, "Yeah,"

Shadow curled into a tight ball on the floor and fell asleep. Raven watched her.

Hayley's brow furrowed. "I hope she's okay," she said.

"Raven...can I tell you something...while Shadow is asleep?" Natalie asked, concerned.

"Yeah, go ahead." Raven said. "She won't hear you unless you speak too loudly or something." Raven said, silently standing up.

Holly watched Natalie with interest, wandering what she might be telling Raven.
She then turned to Shadow.
"Thank you," she said softly, "I cant remember what it was you erased, but i know it was something good....means a lot to me....i hope youre okay,"

Hayley being possibly the nosiest of the trio, watched Natalie too. She then turned round and watched Shadow and Holly. "Me too," she agreed nodding.

Raven waited patiently for Natalie.

"Um...ok...when Shadow went back in time....I sort of....could see what she was seeing...and I found it very distressing, and I'm sure Shadow could hear me talking to her whike she was....was....was she in the past?" Natalie asked.

Raven smiled slightly.
"Shadow, you are an idiot." She said softly.

"What did she do? Did she make it so I could see it?" Natalie asked.

"Put simply, she watched what was going on here through you." Raven said.

Natalie frowned.

"That's why she didn't want me to go with her....she said I'd find it dangerous and distressing," Natalie said, "glad I was able to help though."

"You helped a lot." Raven assured. Shadow stood up, rubbing her temples.

"Shadow! yelled Natalie, and she hugged her, "thank you for helping Holly."

"Welcome, can I breath now?" Shadow said jokingly.

Natalie let her go.

"Sorry...listen...Holly says she can't remember anything bad...you did it Shadow," said Natalie cheerfully.

Shadow smiled slightly, and then saw Raven.
"Oh no..."
"Oh yes." Raven said. "Arias will be hearing about this."

"Oh Raven...don't do that....Shadow was only helping a friend," said Natalie, "from years of grief and termoil."

"There are laws, and Shadow just broke some." Raven said.

"Rules are made to be broken in dyer circumstances," said Natalie.

"These are laws that must not be broken!" Raven snapped, looking at Shadow.
"Oh yeah, and you don't break laws yourself!" She snapped.
"I don't break laws that matter!"

Hayley watched the two argue, back and forth. She looked at Natalie, and shrugged.

The twins argued, not taking any notice of the others.

"STOP IT!" yelled Natalie, "why must you fight?"

The twins turned to look at Natalie. Raven opened her mouth to say something, but closed it again.

Hayley nodded and smiled. "I agree with Nat," she said looking at the twins.

Raven shot one last glare at Shadow before striding off. Shadow bit her lip, worried.

Hayley smiled akwardly, as she did when in an....akward situation. "It'll blow over......" she said hopefully.

Shadow shook her head.
"Arias gets wind of this, I'm in deep trouble."

"But, you did it to help your friend, surely he'll understand?" Hayley replied.
