Dare the Master

First topic message reminder :

Holly placed the sign "Dare the Master" on the table top and sat on one of the two vacant seats behind it.
She was in behind a portrait on the seventh floor, and ready to be dared.
In front of her was the advertisement she had placed around school and in Hogsmede, "COME DARE THE DARER, Holly Bristol will do just about any dare you dare her to. Three sickles for each dare Holly completes. Seventh floor. First come first serve,"

"She, and no. There is no tolerance for breaking some laws." Shadow said.

"What can she do to you if she finds out?" Natalie asked.

"A number of things, but it's usually going back to my dimension for a bit, and having to help around there." Shadow said.

Natalie shivered, wondering what knids of jobs Shadow would have to do..

"Raven would do that," said Natalie, "she's your sister...I'm sure she wouldn't."

"She would." Shadow said.

"Thats shocking," said Natalie, gobsmacked that Raven would do such a thing to her own sister

"It wouldn't be...too bad though...would it?" asked Hayley.

"Raven is actually right. There are laws that I should not break. Looking through you was one of them." Shadow said quietly.

Holly was quite surprised and opened her mouth to apologise.
"I.....aw man Shadow Im sorry.....I shouldnt have went on about like I did....,"

"Oh...this is all my fault...if I hadn't told her...oh Holy crap...damn my mouth...damn it," said Natalie, close to tears.

Shadow raised a hand for silence.
"I would have done it anyway. Nat, I'm sorry, I can sense it now..."

"Sense what?" Holly asked.

"By looking through you, I forged a connection between our minds." Shadow said.

"Our minds? So....what does that mean?"

"It means that Nat can see into my mind at any point and vise versa. Normally, it's a trait only found between demons. For example, I have a connection with Raven and Jamie." Shadow explained.

"That would be VERY awkward," Holly pointed out, "Cant you like....block it or something?"

"Yes. But you can also mend it, although that isn't recommended." Shadow said.

Hayley frowned thoughtfully. "So....Natalie, she can read your mind?" she said to Shadow.

Natalie frowned.


"That'll be weird," said Natalie.

Shadow nodded.
"Yeah, you can see into my mind."

Hayley frowned.

"Ok...but it won't be able to see into you mind when you lose control, will I?" Natalie asked.

Hayley looked at Natalie, and pondered her question.

"Yes. You won't be affected by it, apart from feeling my anger, or what ever emotion." Shadow said.

"Can you just warn me...just in case it happens, what I will see when you do lose it?" asked Natalie.

Hayley was confused at all the questions.

"You will see everything that I see, unless I block it from your view." Shadow said.

Holly watched.
"My fault," she said bitterly.

"No, mine. I didn't have to look through Natalie." Shadow said.

Holly shrugged.
"Either way the whole mind thing was my idea....and such.....I think Ill go lie down...cheers Shadow....see you Nat....Hayley...,"
And she and George left.

Shadow nodded.
"See you later." She said softly.

"So will I see like four of everything in red?" asked Natalie smiling, remembering Shadow's four eyed demon form.

Natalie turned to Holly.

"I'll be there in a minute too," said Natalie.

"I do not know the answer to that." Shadow said.

"Ahhh...I see...Ok...I'll just take it as it comes," said Natalie.

Shadow looked Natalie in the eyes.
"If you don't want to live with it, tell me and I can try to repair it."

"I'll see what it's like...I don't want you to risk your life again for me," said Natalie, looking at Shadow.

Shadow nodded.
"It's your choice."

"Lets not worry about me...lets worry about you," said Natalie, "what can we do to provent Arias from finding out?"

"Nothing, I can sense Raven in our home dimension." Shadow said.

Nataloe moaned.
"That's rough," said Natalie.

"I guess I won't be seeing you for about a month." Shadow said, shrugging.

Natalie frowned.

"Not fair," she mumbled, "not fair on you."

"I broke the laws, I pay the price." Shadow said.

"Thats very noble of you," said Natalie, impressed.

"I learnt." Shadow said.

Natalie smiled

Shadow looked around, knowing that at some point, very soon, some one was gonna turn up.

Hayley got up. "Bye guys, I have to go," she said, and she followed Holly out the door.

"See you." Shadow said softly.

Hayley smiled and waved behind her, before finally leaving.
