Herbology lesson had just ended, and Hayley's class were leaving the Greenhouse. Hayley glanced around made sure no one was watching, and grabbed Holly's arm. "C'mere," she whispered. She looked over to the Forbidden Forest. "Let's be rebels, and go for a wee walk...." she trailed off smiling, hoping no one else had saw.

"I am," Holly said, "Was I arrogant and sarky when I lost my memory?"

"No, more like completely terrified." Shadow said.

Holly nodded slowly.
"Must be awful loosing your memory.....imagine that. ... what if you couldnt even remember who you were ... man ... "

"I did that once and I don't want to remember it." Shadow said.

"You couldnt remember who you were?" Holly repeated biting her lip, "Man."

"I know, it wasn't funny." Shadow said.

"Mm," Holly agreed, "Did you remember eventually?"

"Only after Raven forced her way into my mind." Shadow said.

Holly shivered.
"Did she see stuff you REALLY didnt want her to see?"

"I don't know, but she has a habit of looking through my eyes." Shadow said.

"Rage," Holly said, "Id hate that. So much."

"I know, she uses the memories to blackmail me to do her homework." Shadow said.

"You have bad memories?" Holly asked cocking her head to the side.

"A lot." Shadow said. She pointed to the circular scar around her eye.

Holly furrowed her brow.
"Come to think of it I never asked you how you got that ... "

"Do you really want to know?" Shadow said.

"Um ... yeah?" Holly asked.

"My father, two years old." Shadow said.

"Oh," Holly said nodding, "Right."

Shadow nodded and looked into the fire.

Holly copied her actions examining her own scars.

Shadow was lost in thought.

Holly was similarly thinking.

Shadow curled into a tight ball, closing her eyes.

Holly watched her for a moment and then moved her gaze to her knees. She hugged them to her chest and sighed lightly.

Shadow's breathing evened out as she fell asleep.

Holly traced the scars on her wrists for the longest moment, and then put her chin on her knees.

One of Shadow's eyes opened, looking around.

"Sumthin' wrong?" Holly asked.

"Huh?" Shadow asked, her other eye opening as she sat up to look at Holly.

"Just thought ... did you hear that noise too? Like a minute ago, a thumping ..."
Holly looked at the mouth of the cave.

Shadow nodded.
"I thought it was you." She said.

Holly shook her head looking at the entrance again.
"Had better look then..." she muttered, stood up and crept to the entrance.

Shadow was on her feet in a flash and alongside Holly.

Holly didnt even blink as Shadow came next to her, she was getting used to that.
She peered out into the cold, pitch black night.
"I dont see anything," she murmured.

Shadow's eyes could see better in the dark and she saw a four legged creature bounding away.

"Anything there?" Holly asked, knowing Shadow's sight was a lot better than hers.

"Just some sort of creature. He's leaving." Shadow said.

Holly nodded.
"S'scared of us probably....shall we follow it?"

"Let's not tempt fate." Shadow said.

"Tha's a no then," Holly said. She didnt really understand proverbs.

"That's a no." Shadow confirmed.

Holly nodded, still staring into the darkness.

Shadow sat down, crosslegged, watching the darkness.

"You know im terrified of horses," Holly voiced, "Did it seem like one?"

Shadow shook her head.
"I know how a horse moves. That's no horse.

"Good," Holly said shivering, "Whaddya reckon it was?"

Shadow shrugged and shook her head.
"No idea."

Holly looked out suspisiously.

Natalie had gotten lost helplessly in the forest while all this was going on, as she had had a craving for blood and needed to get away from them.
