Subject: Round Five: Team One vs. Team Two Tue Jun 24 2008, 08:34

You should duel your opposing group using your own spells and spells from the HP Universe. Each duellist should make up to six posts - but no more than six. Take note of the duel location and set up as follows:

-The duelling arena is a dark, wooded area.
-It is misty and there is rain in the air.
-There are one or two clearings in the woods, but for the most part it's rough undergrowth.

You will be marked on the following:

* Eye for surroundings
* Defensive and offensive spells (both what spells are used and how well they are used)
* Knowledge of spells
* Eye for detail (both your own posts and others posts)
* Inventiveness and creativeness as a whole

Please avoid one sentence posts. Try to develop your duelling posts into more than one paragraph. See the howler in the main forum for more information on how to duel successfully.

(Team One)

Stephy quickly made her way down to where her next duel was suppose to be at. Looking at her paper she saw that they were now grouped into two teams. On her team was Herby, Elladora and Pamela. Her opponest were Bella, Alice and Dragon. This duel will be fun Stephy thought to herself as she rushed down the halls and towards the door that lead to the room where the duel would take place. She threw open the door and was greeted back a sight that she didnt expect.

Inside the room it was dark and there were trees everywhere. Stephy walked into the room and closed the door behind her. After standing there for ahwile she notcied thar her hair was staring to get wet. Holding out her hand she felt a few raindrops hit it. Not only is it dark but it's also raining She thought as she started to walk through the woods but after taking a few steps she landed flat on her face. Getting up and dusting off her robes, Stephy quickly retrieved her wand from her robes and pointed it at her eyes. She whispered "perspicuus" (brighten) and her surroundings started to get brighter, at least to her. This spell made it so that only her would be able to see as if it was a sunny day instead of a dark gloomly place. She then place her wand at her feet and said “haud trinus” (no trip). This spell would make it so that if she had to run through the wooded area that she would not end up tripping on anything from a tripping spell or even the rough terrain.

Now that she was able to clearly see and didn’t have to worry about tripping she now had to focus on a way to stay hidden. Pointing her wand at herself she performed a Disillusionment Charm and knew that with the darkness from the room that with this spell she would be almost close to impossible to see. She then looked at the nearest tree by her and pointing her wand at it she said ” disease forcible ingress” (attack enemies) and this would cause the tree to ask like a whommping willow tree and attack anyone who isn’t on her team. Satisfied with that, Stephy then pointed her wand at the tree next to that and said “verto in a extraho” (turn into a dragon) and the tree detached itself from the ground and started to sprout wings and a tail. Then the top of the tree’s leave and branches came together and formed a shape of a dragon’s head. Next legs grew from the side of the tree’s trunk and the tree took a form of a dragon. The dragon tree then threw back it’s head and breathed out not fire but twigs and leaves. “Wow is that cool” Stephy said as the dragon stood there and looked at her. “Attack any who isn’t on my team” Stephy told him and the dragon gave her a nod to indicate that it understood her. Stephy then turned to the dragon and pointing her wand at it said “incendia testimonium” (fire proof) and “pareo tantum mihi” (obey only me) and this she made sure that the dragon could not be burned, since it was made out of a tree and was flammable, and also it would only listen to her. The dragon then held out it’s wings and started to flap them causing it to rise several feet into the air. Stephy gave him a small wave and then watched as it disappeared into the darkness.

Now to take care of myself Stephy thought as she walked further into the room and found a clearing. She then walked over to one of the trees that surrounded the clearing and pointed her wand at it saying “nemus sto” (tree stand) and a little tree stand appeared in the top of the tree hiding in the branches. Stephy climbed up the tree and into the stand and then she saw that she was able to clearly see the clearing. Pointing her wand at the ground she then said “humus subsido” (ground sink) and she watched as the ground changed to be a lighter color than the surrounding uncursed ground. She knew that whomever was to walk into this clearing would end up sinking into the ground as if it was quicksand. Since she was hidden in the tree she would easily be able to curse any who steps into it. Now that she was ready for the duel to began all she had to do now was wait.

(Team 2)

Alice slowly made her way towards the duel, clutching the piece of paper with the teams and instructions. Reading it carefully Alice noticed that it would be a team duel. On her team was her twin sister Bella, and Dragon. Alice knew that Bella was a fairly competant dueler and that Dragon was exceptional, but she was still slightly worried about being outnumbered by Stephy, Elladora, Herby and Pamela, all of whom were extraordinarily talented. Hopeing that the duel would go well, and be fun at least, Alice puched open the door and froze in shock.

There in front of her stood a dark, misty woods. The forest was quite thick and provided many good hiding spots, Alice noticed. Alice became aware that she had been standing dumbstuck in the doorway for the past few minutes. Stepping inside the room/forrest, Alice shut the door softly behind her and noticed that it was raining in here. Alice smiled, for she liked the rain and took it as a good omen.

Alice walked forwards through the forest, which was completely silent except for the soft crunching of her feet, looking for signs of life. So far Alice had found none but continued to walk, humming 'I'm Not Okay' by My Chemical Romance. Alice had been examining a bush that seemed to be looking at her when a Dragon swooped down on her. Except it wasnt a Dragon, or was it? It was a tree that had tacken the form of a dragon, and judging by the twigs and leaves raining down on her, Alice knew it wasnt some kind of trick. ''Incendo! (Fire)'', Alice sent at the tree-dragon, hoping that since it was wooden, it would be highly flamable. This however, was not the case as the flames simply disapeared when they hit the tree-dragon.

'Either this is some sick joke pulled by Amy', Alice thought, 'Or some one from the other team beat me here!' Since Alice knew that Amy was a loverly person and wouldnt find this at all funny, she decided upon the second option. Great as this knowledge was, it didnt at all help her in defeating the dragon. ''Reducto (Blasts solid objects)'' Alice shouted, and one of the tree-dragons legs was blown to splinters. The dragon gave a sortof strangled cry and flew away. Alice knew that the dragon was by no means gone, but at least she didnt have to worry about it for the time being.

Alice continued to walk, more cautiously now and came upon a large tree. Well, to be more precise, the tree came upon her. Alice was several feet away as the tree sway in the wind. But there was no wind! The tree launched itself towards Alice, crushing her under its many branches. Luckily, Alice had an extreemly small build and was able to squeze her was through the braches and just out f reach of the tree. The only other tree Alice had ever seen act like this was the whommping willow, and common knowledge was that the only thing you had to do to freze the whommping willow was prod the knot in the trunk. Alice carefully examined the tree and sure enough, she spotted the knot. Picking up a brach, Alice leaned forward and carefully poked the knot. The tree froze and Alice seized the opportunity to dart past it and into a small clearing.

Alice had the sudden feeling that this duel was turning into one crisis after another when she felt the dirt creeping up to her knees. Panicing slightly now, Alice grabbed a large tree branch that was resting beside her. ''Wingardium Leviosa (Makes Objects Fly)'', Alice said and the branch began to rise, sucsessfully pulling Alice free of the quicksand. Alice levitated herself up into one of the tallest trees surrounding the clearingand threw the branch aside. 'Whoever else was her must be near this clearing', Alice thought to herself. Seen as there was a large trap just below it would make perfect sense to be sitting nearby, to curse people when they were stuck in the quicksand. Alice looked around the clearing, but couldnt see anyone. This didnt worry her too much as they would have to show themselves sometime soon.

Elladora ran down the hallway. She had a bed habit of being late to her duels. She halted in front of the notices and read the rules. She suddenly brightened up. Team duel-- those were always fun. She made a mental note of her teammates and ran to the dueling room. She stopped before the door, took a deep breath and walked in.

"Homemum Revelio (Reveals of presense of beings)," Elladora imediately said, her eyes closed. 'Two others,' she noted. When she opened her eyes, she jumped. In front of her was a forest and she hadn't realized that it was raining. Smiling, Elladora skipped into the woods. Unfortunately, she fell after ten meters. "Someone should fix that..." she whispered. "Diffindo! (splicing spell)" The uplifted root, immediately split and she proceeded into the forest.

Stopping in the clearing, Elladora put her long dark hair into a ponytail and surveyed her surroundings. This clearing would be good to fight in... but battle in the forest would be more expected. A burst of air came up from behind her. She turned around to see a giant tree-dragon. "This room must be huge," she said. The dragon stared at her and then flew off. "Must belong to a teammate, but who?" Elladora climbed into a tree and looked around.

She perched herself on a branch with a clear view to the front door. Staring intently at the door, she figured that if anyone of the opposite team would come in, she would be the first to challenge them, hopefully catching them off guard. Although she had to make certain that she would be caught from behind.

(Team 2)

Bella slowly opened the door to the dueling room. She had seen Elladora dissapear through the door moments ago, so she was sure at least one of her opponents were already her but had no idea how many more. "Homemum Revelio (Reveals of presense of beings)," Bella wispered as she stepped into the giant forrest. There were three other people but Bella had no idea weather they were friends or foes. Bella walked a short way into the forrset and saw a branch split in two. It looked as if it had been done by magic so Bella wearily looked through the clearing. She spotted Elladora perched high in a tree, watching the door. 'It was a good plan, but it migh've been more effective to conceal herself in some way', Bella thought.

Bella continued to look through the clearing, pretending not to have noticed Elladora, for she was going to attempt to catch her off guard. As she looked through the forrest, she noticed definate signs of magic. Either some people had been dueling and moved elsewhere or they werent just facing another team in here. Bella flinched slightly at the horrors that could be concealed within this forest before shouting ''Inflameo (Sets alight)''. She aimed her wand at the tree Elladora was in.

''Stupfey (stunning spell)'' Bella sent at Elladora, hoping that she would be too preocupied by the flames to notice the jet of magic heading for her.

(Team One)

After sitting in the tree for awhile, Stephy finally saw someone come walking through the woods and into the clearing she was at. She held up her wand and was ready to send a curse at the unknown person’s direction but then she saw who it was and hesitated. Walking into the clearing and right into her trap was her fellow Ravenclaw Alice. Stephy wanted to jump down from the tree and shout “watch out Alice I set up a trap” but she stopped herself. Even though Alice was her friend this was till a duel and Alice was on the opposite team. She stood there in her tree stand and watched as Alice walked into the quicksand but luckily she had garbed hold of a piece of wood before she was sucked down into the depths of the sand. Stephy continued to watch as Alice jinxed the piece of wood so that it would pull her up out of the quicksand and away from it into a nearby tree instead. Stephy let out a sigh of relieve to see that her housemate was okay but quickly regretted not cursing her when she had the chance.

Stephy pointed her wand at Alice and whispered “coerceo” (enclose). The tree that Alice was in branches started to curl up around her making it so that she couldn’t escape. Stephy watched as the branches closed up al of the cracks so that Alice would not be able to escape of she hadn’t already. Knowing that Alice would probably just light the tree on fire, Stephy sent another spell at the tree. Saying “incendia testimonium” (fire proof) once again she made it so that the tree could not be caught on fire. She then followed that with “rigor” (stiffen) and this made the leaves and branches as hard as stone. Now that she was incased in the tree she now decided that she might as well put her in a “safe place” for awhile. Pointing her wand at the trunk of the tree that wasn’t charmed with her stiffening spell she said ''Reducto” (Blasts solid objects) and the trunk of the tree blasted away leaving only the part that Alice was trapped in. Now pointing her wand at the branches and leaves, she said “'Wingardium Leviosa” (Makes Objects Fly)' and the ball of leaves and branches rose up into the air. Stephy then directed Alice’s imprisonment towards the quicksand and lifting the spell the ball of leaves and branches fell into the quicksand. Stephy watched as it started to slowly sink into the ground. Not wanting to watch it fully sink, Stephy held her hands up to her mouth and shouted “Dragon come here”.

As she scanned the sky for her dragon she saw that there was a fire in the woods. There must be more duelers here Stephy thought to herself. All of a sudden Stephy heard something coming, something that sounded like it was flying and she quickly thought of her dragon. Turning around she saw that it was in fact the dragon but he was missing a leg. “You poor fellow” Stephy said as she climbed onto it’s back. She rubbed it’s head and then said “Dragon please take me to that fire over there.” The dragon gave her a small nod and headed towards the direction that she indicated.

Once they got there, Stephy was able to see what had caused the fire. It looked as if Elladora was in the tree and Bella was standing there in front of it. Putting two and two together she quickly understood that it was Bella who had light the tree on fire and Elladora was now stuck within it’s flames. Stephy said to her dragon “Attack Bella while I save Elladora”. The dragon gave her a nod and flew down to the ground so that Stephy could jump off of it’s back. Stephy then ran over to Elladora and pointing her wand at the fiery tree she shouted “Aquamenti” (water charm) and water started to pour out of her wand and onto the fire. Within a few minutes the flames died down and Stephy ran to the tree and called out “Elladora are you okay?” She waited to hear Elladora’s response. Meanwhile the dragon was heading towards Bella. It’s threw back it’s head and let out a steam of leaves and twigs heading straight for Bella. If one of these leaves and twigs were to hit Bella she could get injured badly.

Alice sat, perched in her tree when a bolt of magic shot towards her. Alice smiled as it hit the tree, thinking whoever had sent it had missed. Alice peered through the branches to see where the spell had come from, trying to get a better idea of where her opponent was when she noticed that the branches seemed to be moving... curling around her. Alice froze in panic as she relised that whoever had sent the spell had not missed, but had been aiming for the tree and quite clearly hit.

Before Alice could so much as blink, the tree had totally imprisoned her. ''Incendo! (Fire)'', Alice shouted, but her spell had no effect whatsoever. A moment later, the tree stiffened and as Alice tried to claw her way out she saw that it was no use. Alice closed her eyes and concentrated on breathing deeply, trying to calm herself down so she could concentrate. Alice was calm and began formulating a plan when the tree shook under her and the bottom of the tree broke apart from her imprisonment. The only way Alice could tell this was her prison dropped suddenly about a meter with no support before somthing caught it, a spell Alice presumed. The result of this sudden drop was Alice fell over on the bottom of her cage, landing painfully on her ankle. ''Oooowwwww!'' Alice moaned softly as she stood up, holding one of the branches that was part of her cage for support. Testing her weight, Alice found she could walk on her ankle, even if it hurt a bit.

Alice then turned to the problem at hand, ie her cage. She had a funny feeling that whoever had imprisoned her wouldnt've just left her sitting on the ground. Seeing as her attacker had jinx-proofed the cage quite well, Alice decided that she needed to put the spell on herself. ''Kryptoy (Ability to walk through solid objects)!'', Alice muttered. The spell sped up the particle movement in her body, temporarily giving her the ability to walk through solid objects. Alice quickly exited her cage only to find herself sinking in the quicksand. Luckily, the spell hadnt worn off so she moved effortlessly out and onto normal ground.

Judging by the fact she hadnt been cursed again, Alice supposed that whoever had attacked her had moved so she ran through the forrest towards a fire.Crashing through the forest, Alice arrived in a small clearing and saw alot more duelers. Stephy was there and so was Elladora in a blackened, burnt tree. On the positive side, Bella was also there so at least Alice had a teammate there with her. Alice looked inquiringly at Bella, being twins it was easy to read each others facial expressions and was an awesome way to communicate quickly. Alice wasnt sure what had went down before she had arrived but didnt have time to find out.

Herby watched herself in the mirror; she totally loved her new dueling uniform. Glancing at her Raven embroider with blue and gold, a smirk formed on her face. It looked quite lovely, something that she always wanted and now had. Walking passed the newly opened parcel, with rapping paper lying on the floor, it was easy to see what her mother was the greatest. Who knew she would know exactly what she wanted for her birthday.Spotting her calendar, it shinned red, with a huge star across it. Its always good to feel special. But it wasn’t long before her smile faded, as underneath her huge red maker star, was the words, Dueling Tournament Round 5. Gasping a bit, Herby ran to grab her shoes and wand. There was no way she was going to miss the greatest game in sorcery.

Running down pass the Great Hall, Herby tried to ignore the glorious smell of cooked bacon and cheese omelets. With a sigh, she continued down passed Snapes Office to the dark, old oak doors. You couldn’t tell what was beyond the door, but Herby knew it was one of the most powerfulest room in all of Hogwarts. She noticed a sign beside it. That’s new.Peering at it she noticed she had been placed into a group, with Stephy, ElladoraZeller, and hppamela. It was good to see some fellow Ravies dueling with her. Gathering up some relief, Herby reaches for the door and gently turns the handle. Just incase it was magically charmed, most of the time they are. Taking her first step in and finally opening the door at the way, it was clear they weren’t at Hogwarts any longer.

As her eyes started to settle, it seemed as if she was in the dark forest. Of course she had snuk in there several times, and knew it pretty well to say that this wasn’t the dark forest. She had no idea where the heck they were. Trees of all sorts sprang up from the ground, and vines or some sort of ivry encircled the trees. It was quite beautiful and if she was here on a normal day, Herby probably would have sat down under a tree and read a book.Getting lost in her thoughts, screams could be heard near the left side of her. Walking quietly towards the direction, spells sored passed her bright as lighting. It seemed she was late, as usual and there were duels already taken place. She noticed Stephy and Elladora towards the one side, and knew that’s her spot. Walking towards them, she waiting till it was a bit safer. “Hey Girls, so happy to see you. Sorry I’m late. Now let’s get this party started.” Glancing over to her opponents it was clear they were out numbered now.

Picking her target, she choose Bella. Herby screamed “Chute D'eau(If hit this would cause a huge force of water to come crashing down on Bella)Waiting to see what happens, Herby glanced towards Alice for she was her next target.

Elladora watched Bella walk in and into the woods as if she hadn't saw her. Carefully, she followed Bella's exact movements. Suddenly and huge swarm of fire and a spell that looked like a Stunning spell, went flying at her. The stunning spell hit dead-on before the flames could eat through enough of the tree to hit her.

Elladora panicked, knowing that she would be burnt if no one else found her. A great rush of wind told her that Stephy's dragon had returned-- which meant rescue. The wind, however, blew the flames closer to her beginning to engulf her foot. Then Stephy jumped into her tree and magicked up some water that put out all the flames. Unfortunately, she was still stunned and had to wait for the curse to wear off before she could act comfortably.

Just as Elladora was thinking of a plan to use magic while stunned, Herby walked into the room, rather casually, but she didn't know about the battle's recent happenings. Nevertheless, a gargantuan tital wave erupted from her wand headed straight towards Bella. Elladora thought fast and decided to try and channel her magic into her wand that she was still holding. Not managing much, she spent out some weak red sparks, hoping the Stephy would realize that she was stunned and reverse the spell before Alice and Bella continued their attack.

(Team Two)

Bella watched as the tree caught alight. Judging by Elladoras lack of response, Bella assumed her stunning spell had also found its mark. Bella smiled, quite pleased with how things were turning out so far. Bella was just thinking of putting out the fire and attacking her stunned opponent in some less deadly way when Stephy arrived on a flying tree-dragon. ''Wh-what?'' Bella stuttered, shocked. Where did this tree-dragon come from??? Bella had no time to contemplate this, however, as Stephy began putting out the fire. Bella was about to attack Stephy whilst she was preoccupied saving Elladora when Bella realised that the tree-dragon had not flown towards her merely by chance as she first thought. It was, infact, attacking her.

Bella laughed as the dragon blew a stream of leaves and twigs at her. They cant even hurt m- ''OWWWW!'' Bella screamed as one of the sharper twigs stabbed her calf mucle. ''Ow ow ow owwwwwww!'' She moaned as she limped around on the spot. Bella tried to yank it out but whenever she touched the stick it caused considerable pain, somthing Bella was not fond of. Bella could think of nothing to solve her problem, and settled to continue dueling but attempting to be extra careful about bumping her leg. A genious plan, coming from someone who cant even spell the word. The good thing was the dragon seemed to think it had caused enough damage and took flight, leaving Bella screaming insults at it which the dragon appeared not to notice.

Bella sighed with relief as Alice came crashing noisily into the clearing. Bella rolled her eyes and shook her head in response to the question plastered on her twins face. After all, it wasnt always that easy to communicate 'Well, I set Elladora on fire who was rescued by Stephy who sent a tree dragon on me' by facial expression. Bella was about to see if Alice had a plan when Herby arrived. Bella groaned internally. For a second (a whole glorious second) she hadnt been out numbered. Bella had done no more than register Herby's appearence when a HUGE tidal wave came her way.

Bella splutted as the wave dragged her backwards a few metres, causing her to bump her leg and incidently throw her 'I'll Just Be Careful' plan out the window. Bella picked her now sopping wet self off the floor. 'Thats real nice, attack the injured one!' Bella thought to herself. Before pointing her wand at Herby and shouting, ''Amputeren (Aputates a limb)''. Hopefully it would hit her, causeing Herby to lose an arm or leg.

Bella was distracted from her merciless attack of Herby by red sparks caused by Elladora. It seemed in Stephy's heroic rescue she had forgotten to un-stun her team mate. Bella grinned maliciously at this good news. She pointed her wand at Elladora and wispered ''Verstaan stemgeluid (Hear voices)''. This would mean that everything Elladora thought of doing would be processed by an annoying little voice that would show all the negitive things that could happen, causeing the person to suffer extreme indecision and mentally unable to do anything. For example: 'Maybe I should run over there?' But you dont know if there is a trap over there, I mean that would be aweful. And besides that give one of your opponents better aim at you.

After standing there for awhile and not hearing anything from Elladora, Stephy started to get a little nervous. Walking a bit closer to her limp body, Stephy quickly spotted little weak red sparks coming out of her wand. Why isn’t she getting up? Stephy asked herself as she knelt down beside her. Looking Stephy saw that her eyes was closed and since she wasn’t moving Stephy quickly started to understand what was happening. She has to be stunned Stephy thought as she pulled out her wand and pointed it at her fellow team mate. Stephy was just about to perform a spell when she heard someone say her name. Looking up she saw that it was Herby who said “Hey Girls, so happy to see you. Sorry I’m late. Now let’s get this party started.”

“Well you did show up that’s all that matters” Stephy said to her as she turned back to Elladora. Once again she pointed her wand at her and whispered “Rennervate” (reviving spell) and she knew that this should awaken her. Right after Stephy had preformed this spell she looked over to shoulder to where Herby was standing at and saw that she had already sent a spell at Bella. It looked as if Herby was trying to drown Bella for there was water crashing all over and around her. Stephy jumped to her feet and stood beside Herby’s side hoping that her spell to revive Elladora worked. She would stay by herself during normal circumstances but they were in a duel right now and she had better start to attack the opposing team instead of spending most of her time seeing if Elladora was okay. If she doesn’t get up soon then Ill check on her again once we deal with Bella and Alice Stephy thought to herself as she looked around and saw that Alice had now joined them too.

Stephy then watched as Bella sent a spell towards Herby and she quickly raised her own wand and shouted “Protego” (shiled Charm). She was hoping that whatever it was that Bella sent towards Herby wouldn’t hurt her fellow team mate. She then saw that she had sent a spell at Elladora but she wasn’t quick enough to block that one too. I hope it’s nothing horrible Stephy thought. She started to look around the area and saw that her dragon had disappeared. “Dragon” Stephy called out hoping that her little creature wasn’t defeated but sure enough once she called for it the dragon returned and landed right beside her.”If one of us is about to be injured you must save us no matter what” Stephy told the dragon and it gave her a nod. “But you can still attack them. Which you could be doing right now” Stephy added nodding towards Bella. The dragon gave her another nod and then throwing back it’s head it let out another stream of leaves and twigs heading straight for Bella.

Getting an idea, Stephy pointed her wand at the stream of leaves and twigs and shouted “adhaero res” (stick to things). This would cause the twigs and leaves to stick to Bella if they were to hit her. If Stephy was lucky, the twigs and leaves would build up and encase her in a tomb of sticks and leaves or it could even slow down her movements. She then pointed her wand at some roots that were on the ground near Bella and shouted ” habitum” (hold). The roots then sprang up around Bella’s legs and arms and tried to wrap themselves around her. These roots would hopefully hold her still if she had managed to escape the sticky twigs and leaves.

Stephy then turned to face Alice. She had somehow managed to escape from the last spell that she had used on her and was a little amazed by it. Remembering to congratulate her later on such a feat, she aimed her wand at her and starting to go through the many spells she knew through her head. After some thought she thought of something. She shouted “nuto vox vocis” (doubting voices). Stephy used this spell because in her opinion she thought that spells that effected you psychologically were the harder spells to deal with and since Alice had managed to get out of her last spell fine she thought that she would cast this spell on her. Then to add to that Stephy shouted “subsisto per Bella” (stay by Bella). Stephy used this spell because she thought that if they two sticked together it would be easier to curse them. Satisified, Stephy stood back and watched to see how the two would deal with the spells

No sooner had Alice arrived at the clearing, Herby also arrived commenting about a party. Alice suppressed a groan. On any normal occasion Alice would be overjoyed to see Herby, but she wasnt so keen today seeing as Herby would most likely be attacking herself or Bella. This thought struck Alice seconds after a tidal wave crashed down on Bella who seemed to be in alot of pain. Bella sent two spells, one at Herby and one towards Elladora. Stephy, who had always been kind and caring blocked the one destined for Herby but wasnt quick enough to block the one destined for Elladora. Alice was feeling quite freindly towards her opponents, seeing as no one had really gotten hurt. But that was until Stephy set her dragon on Bella. Alice wasnt sure what Stephy had done but all the twigs and leaves were sticking to Bella and the roots were creeping up and holding her in place.

''Relishio (Release)'' Alice shouted and the roots let go of Bella. ''Faal (Fall)'' Alice said, hitting the twigs and leaves on Bella, making them fall off. The only problem with this was as soon as they had all fallen off, the dragon would blow a fresh stream that would also stick. Alice paused, attempting to think of a solution.

The split second she had stoped and dropped her gaurd, Alice was hit. She assumed it was Stephy as her wand was out, but Alice had no idea what she had been hit with as she was not in pain and could see no effects what soever. Alice was about to attack Stephy when a little voice in the back of her head wispered.

If you attack her, then she might attack you back. Stephy is far stronger so maybe you shouldnt provoke her. Just back away slowly.

Alice groaned as she realised that Stephy had put some evil, mind torturing spell on her. The second she had come to this conclusion, Stephy sent another spell towards her that dragged her to Bella's side. Alice attempted to run as they were now positioned in the middle of the clearing with no cover whatsoever, ignoring the stupid yapping voice in her head telling her what a bad idea this was, but found she could not be more that a metre apart from Bella. Alice frowned slightly. This was strange, but seeing as she had no idea how to stop it Alice supposed they would just have to use the strategy 'Strength in Numbers' as an alturnative to 'Divide and Conquor (sp?)'. Alice grabbed Bella's hand, that was still covered in twigs and all but dragged her into the cover of the trees. The only ossue with this plan was the dragon continued to blow twigs at them, which not only gave away thier position but also hurt quite a bit. Alice pointed her wand at the the dragon and wispered, ''Spinious (Spin)''. Alice smiled as her spell directly hit the mark, causing the dragon to spin around many times making it nicely dizzy. Alice then lifted the spell and was glad to see the dragon was so dizzy and confused it no longer had any idea where the two of them were. Alice then repeated the spell she had used earlier to remove the remaining twigs and leaves off Bella.

Alice had done all of this with her hand still clutching Bella's tightly from when she had grabbed her. Thanks to her stickyness, Alice found their hands stuck together. ''Oh damn!'' Alice muttered before wispering ''None Sticking (No stick)''. Thankfully, this rid Bella of her stickyness and now allowed Alice to let go of Bella.

Alice then motioned for Bella to follow her as she crept silently through the trees until the were behing Stephy and Herby. Seeing as Elladora had not yet recovered from whatever Bella had hit her with earlier, Alice saw no point in jinxing her again, but instead turned her wand on Stephy. The doubtful voice in her head was positively shouting at this point, and Alice found she could no longer ingnore it, she was going crazy. The voice offered no solutions, but simply pointed out everything bad that could possibly occur from her actions.

Alice rubbed her temples before wispering ''Silencio (Silencing Charm)'' at herself. Alice smiled, for the voice was silenced. Unfortunately so was Alice, but she could manage the rest of the duel with nonverbal spells. Alice then pointed her wand at Stephy and thought, ''Musculous Cramivous (Cramp Muscles)''. Because the spell was not as powerful as it wouldve been had Alice said it out loud, the cramps Stephy would experience would not render her totally incapable of moving. They would however put her in extreeme discomfort and a fair bit of pain. Alice smiled before turning her wand on Herby. ''Famish (Makes you Starving)'', Alice thought. If it hit her, Herby would become desperatley hungry, so hungry she would need to eat. Alice had seen this spell in effect, and the victim had began chewwing on their friends arm! Alice them thought, ''Protego (Shield Charm)''. Just in case Stephy, Herby or Elladora recovered from the attack. Alice knew that it was a fairly weak charm but hoped it would hold. She then turned to Bella to see if she had any ideas on how they could manage to split up with out being dragged back together, which thanks to Stephy's spell was an impossibility.

Elladora stetched her body out. Being stunned was horrible! She shook off the feeling and re-focused on the match, luckily, much hadn't passed. Bella and Alice were dealing with a sticking problem and Stephy was protecting Herby from a spell that looked dangerous. Something stung in her back and Elladora immediately touched the hit area. Nothing felt wrong... out-of-place... Elladora decided everything was fine and hopped down on her team's "side" of the field.

Don't land on your ankle wrong, a voice in her mind told her. If you hurt it now you could lose the slim chance you had of winning.

Elladora lost focus mid-jump and grabbed onto a sturdy branch so her feet wouldn't hit the ground. She re-assessed what was going on but the only noises around seemed to be spells. She let herself fall the last foot and slipped on a wet pile of leaves.

You're going to break your leg like that! You should stay still.

Elladora detested this voice. It was causing her train of thought to lose focus, but she didn't have time to remember the particular spell to make it stop. She immediately went to the offensive, hoping that she could drain out the voice and focus on her own thoughts. Deciding to set the ground near Bella and Alice on fire, she raised her wand.

It's raining too much for fire. You should just wait... no matter what you do, you're not going to win.

Elladora was fully aware that she was pessimistic but this internal voice was not pessimism, it was her own personal torture chamber that defied logic. "Protego!" Elladora yelled without thinking, buying herself sometime to recall the spell to remove this voice from her mind. "Silencio." she thought forcefully, focusing on the little voice that was saying,

A silencing charm? Please, even if you could silence me, it wouldn't do you any good.

Elladora thought about creating a hole in a tree that a polar bear could come out of to test if the voice was still there. Luckily, no sound came to her mind and she attempted to say, "Fulgur Flamma*!" to re-initiate her fire plan, but no sound came out. This had to be the worst and luckiest day of her life because although the sound was nonexistent, the fire appeared from the mere intensity of the thought, not the incantation, though it was a bit weaker than it usually was, not burning as thoroughly.

Nonverbal spell were Elladora's only out now. They would have to do.

Stephy watched as Alice tried to get the twigs to stop sticking to Bella and she didn’t see the spell that she had sent at her. Stephy watched as Alice held up her wand, looking as if she was going to attack her but she didn’t say anything. My spell must be working Stephy thought to herself seeing that Alice had hesitated. Alice then was hit by the second spell Stephy had sent at her and she went flying off to Bella’s side. Stephy smiled now glad that her opponents would be close to each other. She then watched as they both tried to run off but the dragon still tried to attack Bella. Stephy then looked at the dragon and she saw something wired start to happen.

The dragon was starting to spin around in circles and Stephy came to the conclusion that Alice or Bella must of have placed a spell on the dragon. Once the dragon was done spinning it didn’t go and start to attack them again. Instead it had a confused look on its face and then it just flew away, obviously confused. Not wanting to call back the confused dragon, Stephy decided to let the dragon go. She then turned back to where she thought Alice and Bella to be but she couldn’t spot them.

Looking off to her side, she saw that Elladora was on her feet again but she looked as if she was having a conflict with herself. Must have been hit with a spell that effects the mind Stpehy thought to herself. She then decided that Elladora was strong enough to fight it off or at least deal with it and the next thing she knew, she had created fire.

Stephy turned around behind her and raised her wand guessing where she thought the two to be, wanting to use a finding spell so that she would know their exact location but as she raised her arm up she felt a cramp appear in her arm. “Ow” Stephy said wincing as the pain surged up through her arm. She went to raise her wand again and the same thing happened again, more pain. She then came to the conclusion that someone had jinxed her.

I cant believe Stephy said. They must have attacked me from behind while I was looking away. Why did I have to watch that dragon fly away Stephy asked herself as she pointed her wand at her body and trying to fight the pain she said “trucido“ (massage). This would only work when her muscles would cramp up. Once her muscles would cramp up the spell would start to work and massage away the cramp so that she wouldn’t be able to feel the pain.

Stephy decided to test this out and when she raised her wand she felt her arm start to cramp up but this was quickly followed by a rubbing sensation. It felt like someone was rubbing out the cramp. Smiling, Stephy aimed her wand where she thought Bella and Alice to be and said “ostendo “ (show). This spell then showed a silhouette of both Alice and Bella who were hiding. She smiled when she was able to locate them and aiming her wand at them she said “somnus “ (sleep). This would cause them both to fall into a deep slumber.

Bella was extreemly dissapointed when Stephy blocked the spell she had sent at Herby, but a little glad aswell. Despite the anger and pain she was feeling she was hesitant about perminantly injuring the girl. No sooner had Bella reached this conclusion did Stephy set her Dragon to attack Bella and all feelings of gratitude were promtly erased. Next thing she knew, not only was the dragon attacking her with twigs but Stephy had somehow jinxed them to stickto her. Bella was quite preoccupied trying to dodge the sharper twigs so not to repeat her previous injury that she couldnt think up a solution to this problem and was quite pleasantly supprised when Alice came and saved her, confusing the dragon and dragging the two of them into the shelter of the trees. Alice seemed unable to talk but still managed to attack Stephy and Herby. Bella smiled, but frowned when Stephy figured a solution. Stephy promtly sent a spell at Alice and Bella, obviously having figured out where they were. The shield charm Alice had sent up earlier blocked most of the damage but because Stephy was a very good dueler and Alice's spell had been nonverbal the spell still hit, but it was far less powerfull. Bella began to feel drowsy, but decided the best way to rid herself of this feeling was to get the adrenaline pumping so seeing as the enemy had already located them, Bella burst into the clearing and started cursing everyone in sight, ''Pertrificus Totalus (body Binding spell)'' Bella shouted over and over again directing her wand at each of her opponents in turn hoping to hit at least one of them.
