Shadow, Raven and Shaeman's leaving party.

The trio stood in the shadows just inside the forbidden forest, waiting for the friends that they had called. Everyone had been called so that they could say a last farewell before they had to leave them, their home, Hogwarts, everything, and return once more to their home dimension. Shadow held her head low, trying not to cry. Raven was picking at the hem of her cloak, and Shaeman was emotionless, even though he screamed out to the sky in his heart. They had told no one that they were leaving, and now was the time to tell them, before anyone tried to find a way to let them stay.

Shadow had read the stars so often, that she knew that there was no hope of being allowed to stay. The High Priestess' orders were clear. All Synari were being called back to their home dimension, no exceptions. She blinked back her tears desperately, trying to put a brave face on their leaving, but to no avail.

Raven wasn't crying, but her heart was filled with anger. Anger at the orders they had received. Just as they found their place and a close circle of friends, somewhere that didn't care who your parents were or how dangerous you were, they had to be ripped cruelly from everything that they wanted.

Shaeman stood a little way off, standing with two pegusi, one a rich brown, the other pure black. He was rubbing the black one's shoulder, trying to sort out his head. One part of him wanted to break down and cry, the other begged him to scream aloud in anger, but he did neither. It was not his place. He had found company on Earth, even though he was more dangerous than his half sisters, he had found a girl he loved more than anything, but no. It was not meant for him. Not for someone like him.

"I'll miss you Shadow. Running from my father and you kicking his arse." Violet said, hugging Shadow. She looked at Shaeman and started crying more. "I love you." She said to him, petting his head and kissed the top of his head.

Natalie put her arm around Violet to comfort her.

Violet hugged Nat, crying into her shoulder.

Holly swallowed and watched the three. Just doing ordinary things, but somehow in an extraordinary way.
SHe stood back.

Shadow swallowed hard.
"And you helping to kick my father's butt..." She said softly. Shadow bowed her head and walked over to where two pegusi were tethered. She untied the brown one, Raven already mounted on the black, Shaeman standing, waiting.

Shaeman nuzzled Violet gently as Shadow looked at the four there.
"Goodbye, and stay safe." She said, allowing her tears to fall.

Violet watched as they left.

Shadow Shaeman and Raven lanched their horses into the air, Shaeman and Raven going one way, Shadow going the other.

Hayley squinted as she looked up at them leaving. Tears sprang to her eyes. "What's with all the bad stuff happening? Phoenix, and now this?" she sniffed, "Man, I'm gonna miss them," she added.

"You aint the only one kiddo," Holly said sighing as she watched the horses leave.

Violet cried harder, falling to the ground. "I....why does this have to happen?" She asked, grabbing her necklace.

Holly looked around uncomfortably.
"Look Vi....don' .... don' worry about it....I'll work on them coming back and...you know. George can teleport one of us to a different dimension once every six months. And you can use the first go to see Shaeman if you want......,"

Natalie, who had fallen to her knees when the three left, burst into uncontrollable tears.

"Dont worry about it? That was the first person to care about me! Not even my father loves me." She said, and nodded. "If you dont mind, I would." She said, crying still.

Hayley put her arm around Natalie, squeezing her close. "Babe, please don't cry," she said, surpressing tears herself, "We'll see them again....some day..." she trailed off, tears beginning to fall down her face again.

Violet looked at the girl she never sen before. "You've never been to where Shadow is going. It's....horrible. Dark and not right. Demons are everywhere." She said, wiping tears. "And where....Sheaman is going.....it's...it's not better." She said, crying again.

"Dont talk about it," Holly said quickly, "We cant do much.....so theres no point making ourselves even more miserable. I hate it when people assume things, but im pretty sure the Roth's wouldnt want us to mope around about it....even if we cant help being....thoroughly depressed about it....,"

"Sheaman wouldnt want it, he would want me happy." She said, still crying. "But it hurts." She said, "Knowing the one you love wont come back." She told her.

Phoenix appeared "Hey guys" she said

Natalie hugged Phoenix.

"She's gone..." Natalie wept on her shoulder, "it isn't fair."

Holly looked at them all for the longest moment and then said, "I have the smallest of feeling's they'll come back....."

"I know they'll come back...but it'll be like...in forever," Natalie sobbed.

"I shouldnt have gotten close." Violet said, crying again. "I should have pushed them away at the right time." Violet told them

"It's not you fault Violet...you couldn't have helped it...you were in love," said Natalie, "no one can be blamed for there departure."

"But.....it's not fair." She said, crying again. "Someone else could have done this!" She yelled. "There were plenty of demons in each place! Someone could have taken over adn someone else could have battled!" She yelled.

"But Shadow is more noble than to get someone else to risk their life before she would risk her own...so we have to accept when she's doing is for the best," said Natalie, "and even you Violet will have to come to terms with the fact that she's gone...and we must be strong, though we will miss her terribly...we must be strong."

"But it's not fair." Violet said, crying again. "I helped plenty of times! What's so diffrent about me going this time?" She asked herself.

"Because there must be something she wants to do alone...she wants to protect us all...as well as you Violet," said Natalie.

Holly concentrated on memorising the way the fading sun bounced off the Gryffindor Tower window, and didnt say anything.

NAtalie looked at Holly.

"I usual love this time of day," she said quietly.

Violet looked over at them. "I'm sorry, I cant stay here any longer." She said, jumping up and running off.

Natalie watched Violet go.

"Don't worry...we'll see her again," Natalie called after her.

Holly watched Violet go.
"Me too," she muttered to Natalie, "I like this time'o day."

"It so...peaceful...especially round here," said Natalie, "and when the Theastrals fly in the sunset....it's just beautiful."

Holly nodded slowly, taking it in.

"It takes something majorly sad and depressing to make you appreciate the colour of the sky," said Natalie quietly, "this is one of those things."

*a month later, but two years for the trio*

Shadow's pegasus appeared over the horizon, flying at breakneck pace to land next to the forest. Shadow on the horse's back, but not conscious. A few seconds later, Shaeman and Raven's pegusi also broke the horizon line and skidded to a halt beside the forest and Shadow's pegasus. Raven and Shaeman dismounted before their steeds had even stopped and ran over to Merlas, Shadow's mount, dragging their sibling off the horse and lying her on the ground. Raven knelt beside her and began to mutter words over her body.

Natalie was walking along thr path, when she stumbled upon the scene.

"Oh my gosh...Shadow? Is that you...wait...whats wrong with her? Natalie asked, overjoyed...but now...worried.

Shadow coughed and rolled over to sit up as Raven sighed with relief. Merlas gently pushed her rider with her nose, worried, but Shadow used her mane to help herself stand up.

Raven was glad that her sister was ok and also got to her feet, turning to Natalie.
"Hey..." She said softly.

Violet heard something land and she looked out, squinting her eyes. "No.." She whispered in disbielf. Violet ran out into the woods, walking to where she saw the landing. "No....it cant be." She whispered, walking forward. "Shadow? Shaema? Raven?" She asked.

Shaeman turned to see Violet. A small smile broke across his face.

Violet shook her head. "No....whoever thought this was funny can stop it." She said, holding her head.

"Violet, this be no trick you see before you, I am back." Shaeman replied, his eyes anxious, worried about Violet.

Violet looked at him, still not sure. "You said....you never even tried to talk to me." Violet said, tears in her eyes. "I waited 2 years, and never got anything." She said.

"So....are you all back here for good?" Natalie asked excitedly.

"As far as we know." Shadow said, pulling her hood over her face to hide herself.

"I tried..." Shaeman said.

Violet nodded and walked forward, wrapping her arms around him. "I missed you." She whispered.

Shaeman hugged Violet back.
"Not as much as I missed you..." He whispered in her ear.

"I missed you so much Shadow," whispered Natalie, and she hugged her friend.

Violet smiled, hugging him more.

Shadow pulled back quickly, tensing up.
