Shadow, Raven and Shaeman's leaving party.

The trio stood in the shadows just inside the forbidden forest, waiting for the friends that they had called. Everyone had been called so that they could say a last farewell before they had to leave them, their home, Hogwarts, everything, and return once more to their home dimension. Shadow held her head low, trying not to cry. Raven was picking at the hem of her cloak, and Shaeman was emotionless, even though he screamed out to the sky in his heart. They had told no one that they were leaving, and now was the time to tell them, before anyone tried to find a way to let them stay.

Shadow had read the stars so often, that she knew that there was no hope of being allowed to stay. The High Priestess' orders were clear. All Synari were being called back to their home dimension, no exceptions. She blinked back her tears desperately, trying to put a brave face on their leaving, but to no avail.

Raven wasn't crying, but her heart was filled with anger. Anger at the orders they had received. Just as they found their place and a close circle of friends, somewhere that didn't care who your parents were or how dangerous you were, they had to be ripped cruelly from everything that they wanted.

Shaeman stood a little way off, standing with two pegusi, one a rich brown, the other pure black. He was rubbing the black one's shoulder, trying to sort out his head. One part of him wanted to break down and cry, the other begged him to scream aloud in anger, but he did neither. It was not his place. He had found company on Earth, even though he was more dangerous than his half sisters, he had found a girl he loved more than anything, but no. It was not meant for him. Not for someone like him.

"Its ok Shadow...your back now...where you really belong...shall I get Madam Pomfrey?" NAtalie said.

"What happen?" She asked him, leaning her head on his chest.

Natalie looked at Violet.

"We need to get Madam Pomfrey...now," said Natalie firmly.

Shadow shook her head, her head bowed to hide her face.
"No, I'll heal it once I've regained my magic."

Shaeman held Violet close.
"I'm not sure I should tell you right now."

Violet nodded, standing on her tip toes to kiss him.

Shaeman bent his head down to deepen the kiss, glad to be back.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"What happened to you?" she asked.

Violet pulled back, hugging him tighter. "I'm so glad your back. I love you." She whispered.

Natalie looked at Violet.

"I know you're happy he's back...but give him room the breathe...he's had a long trip," said Natalie softly, pulling Violet away from Saeman.

Violet turned to Nat sharply. "I havent been able to kiss my boyfriend for 2 years, hush it twerp." She snapped.

"And I love you..." Shaeman said quietly. "I would proclaim it in public if you wanted me to..." He didn't protest as Natalie separated them. She was right, he was tired.

Shadow turned her back on Natalie, relying on her pegasus to help her stay on her feet.
"It's nothing, I'll heal it once I have my magic back."

"I felt you try to open my mind our mind connection about a year and a half ago...but that is the only sign I had that you were alive." said Natalie quietly.

"The dimension was too well blocked for me to succeed." Shadow said quietly.

Violet smiled. "Come on, you need some rest." She told him.

Shaeman nodded, trying to suppress a yawn.

"Ah...ok...I see how that would have been difficult...so...did everyone do as they were told under your command?" NAtalie asked.

Violet grabbed his hand and walked back up to the school.

Shadow's hand tightened its grip on her pegasus', Merlas, mane.
"Depends." She said dully.

Shaeman allowed himself to be lead away, hoping that Natalie and Raven would look after Shadow.

Natalie looked at the backs of their heads.

"They make a cute couple...don't they?" Natalie remarked.

Shadow nodded vaguely.

Violet ignored everyone who looked at her funny, as she said the password to the Slytherin Common room.

Natalie looked at Shadow and Raven

"Would you like to sit down?" she asked, conjuring soft chairs for Shadow and Raven.

Shadow was lead to the chair by Merlas, and sat down gingerly, even though she tried to hide it. Raven sat down easily, looking at Natalie.
"So, how have you been for... it's only been a month here..."

Phoenix appeared to see Shadow and Raven "Is it a dream?" she asked

Violet open the door to her dorm, looking at the mess. "I guess no one cleaned?" She asked, shaking her head. "Here, that nice clean spot is my bed." She said, "You can sleep there, I'll clean up some."

"Not good...deep depress....lack of sleep...Holly, Hayley and me had to help each other through that time...and Tiffany, you know, one of my dolls, was really supportive...and Chucky, my Good Guy doll, was good for making me laugh with the odd sarcastic remark...and Glen, their son...well Glen doesn't talk very much...but her helped too in his own shy little way....how have you guys been?" Natalie said.

"Thanks." Shaeman said, lying down.

"Well, all is well again in Synairn, and we were just getting used to being back when we saw Merlas shooting through the dimension on her way to this one, with Shadow on her back, but unconscious. We saddled up our mounts and followed as fast as we could." Raven said. "I don't know what happened with her though, that horse acted like it had the entire Synari army on her tail."

Phoenix stepped forward "Hey Shad" she said smiling.

Natalie looked at the horse.

"Well...normal horses can sense the weather...hey, maybe she sensed that all was not well with Shadow...and so had to go quickly," said Natalie.

Violet started cleaning up around the room, hissing at how unclean the other girls where. After she did that, she grabbed some extra clothes and walked into the bathroom.

Shadow didn't look up at Phoenix, but instinctively knew by her voice who it was.
"Hey Phoenix." She said dully.

Raven shrugged.
"Merlas is... special to Shadow. She reared her from a newborn foal after her mother rejected her, and has never let anyone but Shadow ride her. They know each other inside out."

Natalie gave a silent nod, overcome by the emotion of the story, then came to her senses.
"How did you'se get back?" Natalie asked, "I thought you said it was impossible to get back."

Violet took a uick shower, drying off and putting on her other clothes. She walked out, still air drying her hair. "Get....someone was in here." She said, glaring at the pants on the floor. "I'm going to kill those girls." She said.

"We found a way, notably because the ruler of our dimension saw Merlas as well and gave us permission to follow." Raven replied.

"Cool....I'm so glad your all back...it was really quiet around here without you'se," said Natalie.

"We're glad to be back as well I think." Raven said.

Natalie grinned.

Violet sat down on her bed, by Shaeman, afraid to sit on the other beds, in fear of what was on or in them. She had grabbed a book adn a cover from her trunk and sat there reading.

Shaema had fallen into a deep sleep, tired by the dimension crossing.

Shadow had remained utterly silent during the whole conversation, keeping her head bowed and hunched over inside her cloak.

"You cold Shad?" Natalie asked.

Shadow shook her head, still not talking. Raven chewed her lip nervously.

"Do you know what's wrong with her?" NAtalie whispered to Raven.

Raven nodded, but went on to speak.
"She doesn't want anyone to know."

"Raven...please...I know that she might not want to tell...but we need to know...to help her...remember what she did the last time she was like this?" NAtalie said.

Violet looked out the window, and walked back outside to were they were. "Hey,." She told them. She looked at Shadow, knowing something was wrong. "Shad?" She asked.

"What, tried to kill herself?" Raven asked. "She nearly managed last time."

"Whats the matter with her?" Violet asked, looking at Raven. "Come on Shadow, you can tell me>" Violet said. "You can tell us, we are you friends....al we want to do is help you." She said.

"Yes...remember how she tried to do herself in?" NAtalie asked.

Shadow hunched over further, still not talking.
"I normally stop her..." Raven pointed out.

Violet looked at them, wondering what she meant. "Wait...what do you mean?" She asked. "What did I miss?" She asked.
