Shadow, Raven and Shaeman's leaving party.

The trio stood in the shadows just inside the forbidden forest, waiting for the friends that they had called. Everyone had been called so that they could say a last farewell before they had to leave them, their home, Hogwarts, everything, and return once more to their home dimension. Shadow held her head low, trying not to cry. Raven was picking at the hem of her cloak, and Shaeman was emotionless, even though he screamed out to the sky in his heart. They had told no one that they were leaving, and now was the time to tell them, before anyone tried to find a way to let them stay.

Shadow had read the stars so often, that she knew that there was no hope of being allowed to stay. The High Priestess' orders were clear. All Synari were being called back to their home dimension, no exceptions. She blinked back her tears desperately, trying to put a brave face on their leaving, but to no avail.

Raven wasn't crying, but her heart was filled with anger. Anger at the orders they had received. Just as they found their place and a close circle of friends, somewhere that didn't care who your parents were or how dangerous you were, they had to be ripped cruelly from everything that they wanted.

Shaeman stood a little way off, standing with two pegusi, one a rich brown, the other pure black. He was rubbing the black one's shoulder, trying to sort out his head. One part of him wanted to break down and cry, the other begged him to scream aloud in anger, but he did neither. It was not his place. He had found company on Earth, even though he was more dangerous than his half sisters, he had found a girl he loved more than anything, but no. It was not meant for him. Not for someone like him.

"Where you went. What happen?" She asked, kicking the tabel to hard. She heard the nurse open the door. "Quit trying to destroy my proprety!" She yelled at Violet before slamming the door.

"I don't want to talk about it." Shadow said.

"No one tells me anything no more." She mumbled, kicking her feet back and forth again.

"I just don't want to talk about that place." Shadow replied.

"I know." She said, stadning up. Violet yawned, walking around the wing.

Shaeman looked at the two girls before beginning to sing softly again in Synari, a song he remembered Shadow singing long ago in a happier time.

The sun rises over the horizon,
Another day begins.
A day to be filled with the joys of life...

See the dove sail over the clouds,
The horse herd thunder over the plains,
The fish leap from the water,
The leaves wave to you in the breeze.
See the wonders of life all around you,

Violet listened to the song, looking down. Deciding she shouldnt be in there, she walked in the hall.

Shaeman didn't notice Violet leave, wrapped in the words of the song. Shadow smiled slightly as she drifted off to sleep, remembering her mother singing it to her. SHaeman's voice grew stronger as he kept singing.

Violet sat on the ground, pulling her knees to her chest. Pulling out her wand, she traced her scare with the tip of it, which she had turned into a knife point.

Shaeman finished the song and stood up, leaving the wing.

Violet bit her lip, watching the scar show back on her arm.

Shaeman sat beside Violet, trying to smile at her.

"You ok?" Violet asked him.

"Worried." Shaeman replied.

"Just...let her do her job. I dont really care if she hates me." Violet said, looking back into the wing. "She's hated me forever." She told him.

Shaeman nodded, looking at Shadow's sleeping figure.

"What was that you were singing?" Violet asked, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"An old song from Shadow's dimension. She learnt it when Arella used to sing it to her, and she sings it as well." Shaeman explained.

"Oh." Violet said, yawning again.

Shaeman wrapped an arm around Violet's shoulders, lost in thought.

Violet tried to keep her eyes open, but soon fell asleep.

Shaeman didn't notice Violet fall asleep, but stared directly in front if him.

Shadow's eyes flickered open and she felt a bit stronger. She sat up before standing up slowly.

Violet screamed, waking up. falling over, she jumped up quickly. "Sorry." She said, shaking her head. "Bad dream.." She mumbled, grabbing her arm.

Shaeman had nearly jumped out of his skin, but he looked at Violet.
"It's ok..."

Violet nodded, sitting back down. She had went pale and was shaking. Violet looked down at her mark, touching it lightly.

"What's wrong?" Shaeman asked.

"Nothing, bad dream." She mumbled, tracing her mark with her finger. She put her hand over it, ashamed that she had even put it back on her arm.

"Then tell me about it." Shaeman replied.

Violet shook her head. Standing up, she pulled her wand from her pocket and sat back down.

Shaeman played with the hem of his cloak, worried and unsure.

Violet started making sparkles appear from her wand, just for fun. Violet set her wand down after a while, shaking her head again.

Shaeman fidgeted, tired of waiting.

Shadow looked around carefully and saw the nurse's door shut. She went to the window and whistled. Merlas appeared a few minutes later, and Shadow climbed onto the window ledge.

"Do you hear something." Violet asked, whispering.

Shaeman frowned and nodded. He stood up, looking around before looking into the hospital wing and seeing Shadow getting on Merlas through the window.
"SHADOW!" He shouted, running in, but Shadow jumped onto Merlas' back and started to fly away.

Violet eye's widen and she stood in the back. "Shaeman...were the hell is she going?" Violet asked.

"I don't know, but I know that it's not good." Shaeman said. He morphed into a pegasus and looked at Violet desperately.

"I have to go again?" She asked, moaning. "Be glad I love you two." She said.

Shaeman pawed the ground, looking at the disappearing figure of Merlas and Shadow before looking back at Violet.

"I'm coming." She said, getting on. Holding on to his mane and closed her eyes. "Go and hurry." She mumbled.

Shaeman launched himself into the air and out of the window, straining his wings to fly at breakneck speed, closing the gap between them and Merlas until they were flying side by side.

Violet was trying not to scream, closing her eyes really hard. 'Why did I agree to this?' She asked herself over and over

I need you to convince her to come back! I can't get through to her mind! Shaeman thought desperately to Violet as Merlas banked left and Shaeman followed the maneuver.

'You think she will listen to me?' Violet asked, opening her eyes, only to close them

You have to try! Shaeman replied, pulling up after a short nosedive so that they were next to Shadow and Merlas again.

Violet took a deep breath. 'Shadow. I know you can hear me. Now please please come back so I can land on the ground safely.' She though.

Shadow ignored Violet completely, throwing her out of her mind. Shouting something to her steed, Merlas turned a backwards loop before nosediving towards the ground. Shaeman growled in frustration, tucking his wings to his sides and nosediving to catch up with them again.

Violet screamed, holding on tighter. "Dammit Shadow!" She yelled. Pulling out her wand, she shouted curse after curse at her.

Shadow shouted streams of instructions in Synari, but Shaeman managed to follow them as Merlas carried out the instructions. It continued for several minutes, the two horses never tiring.

Violet cursed and shouted. "Dammit Shadow! Swallow your dam pride and take help when offered!"

Merlas swooped upwards, Shadow leaning low over her neck when one of Violet's cursed hit her, knocking her from the horse. Merlas neighed in alarm and braked, diving after Shadow. Shaeman followed, spiraling down wards with his wings pinned to his sides to gather speed.
