Shadow, Raven and Shaeman's leaving party.

The trio stood in the shadows just inside the forbidden forest, waiting for the friends that they had called. Everyone had been called so that they could say a last farewell before they had to leave them, their home, Hogwarts, everything, and return once more to their home dimension. Shadow held her head low, trying not to cry. Raven was picking at the hem of her cloak, and Shaeman was emotionless, even though he screamed out to the sky in his heart. They had told no one that they were leaving, and now was the time to tell them, before anyone tried to find a way to let them stay.

Shadow had read the stars so often, that she knew that there was no hope of being allowed to stay. The High Priestess' orders were clear. All Synari were being called back to their home dimension, no exceptions. She blinked back her tears desperately, trying to put a brave face on their leaving, but to no avail.

Raven wasn't crying, but her heart was filled with anger. Anger at the orders they had received. Just as they found their place and a close circle of friends, somewhere that didn't care who your parents were or how dangerous you were, they had to be ripped cruelly from everything that they wanted.

Shaeman stood a little way off, standing with two pegusi, one a rich brown, the other pure black. He was rubbing the black one's shoulder, trying to sort out his head. One part of him wanted to break down and cry, the other begged him to scream aloud in anger, but he did neither. It was not his place. He had found company on Earth, even though he was more dangerous than his half sisters, he had found a girl he loved more than anything, but no. It was not meant for him. Not for someone like him.

"Well, I'm back now." Shadow said.

Shaeman raised an eyebrow again.
"Ok..."

"Dont worry." Violet smiled. "Thats the same thing Rec did." She said, letting Luthwing slither around on her bed, before culring up at her feet.

"And I'm so happy," said Natalie, "and it might be a good idea to try to think happy thoughts to help you get your magic back."

Shadow shook her head.
"No, it will only come back when I'm strong enough to wield it again."

"Are you back for sure or are you leaving again?" Violet asked.

"I'm not planning on leaving again." Shaeman said.

Violet smiled. "Thats good." She said, sitting up.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"Is there anything I can do for you....get you a drink...you've had a long trip," said Natalie.

Shadow shook her head.
"I just need to regain my strength."

Violet stood up. "Maybe we should go and see if they are coming in?" Violet asked, noticing it getting a little dark.

Shaeman nodded.
"Ok."

Violet grabbed her cloak and opened the door. She walked down the steps fast and made it to the common room door. She walked up the stairs to the Great Hall, noticng everone in there eating. "OK, lets hurry." She said, running to the door.

Shaeman ran after her.

Natalie sat down on a rock.

"I came down here every night after you left...looking out over the horizon....waiting to see that horse...any sign of you," said Natalie, "that's why I was wlking along here just now when I found you."

Violet looked outside for them, but saw no one. "Raven." She hissed. "Shadow, Nat?" She hissed more.

Shadow nodded sadly.
"I wanted to come back, but couldn't."

"Do you see them?" Violet asked Shaeman.

"I'm so glad you did," said Natalie, smiling.

Shadow smiled slightly, the first time in two years.

Natalie smiled back, happy to finally see a hint of the real Shadow.

Violet bit her lip. "Ok, I know they are here." She said, walking futher in the woods.

Shadow pulled her hood back over her face, closing her eyes.

Violet looked at Shaeman. "You can see better then me. Do you see them?" She asked.

Shaeman shook his head.

"Raven! Shadow! Nat!" Violet yelled, getting frustrated.

Shadow heard Violet and looked at Natalie.
"I have to go..."

"Holly!" Holly said, feeling left out.

"They better have heard that. I'm not losing my voice again." Violet said, sitting on the ground.

Natalie looked at Shadow.

"Whats happeneing?" Natalie asked.

"Violet will just worry. I'll be staying in the forest until I can heal myself." Shadow said.

"Nobody knows," Holly said unhelpfully.

Violet watched from where she was sitting. "Tic toc tic toc." She whispered.

Shadow smiled once more at Natalie before trotting off into the forbidden forest.

Violet heard somethign and turned her head. "I think they are coming." She mumbled.

Shadow cantered off into the forest to find a place to hide and to heal.

"Or not." She said. Violet stated sitting down, wondering if Nat or Holly would come.

Shadow dismounted into a small hole within the roots of an old tree. Merlas lay down beside her.

Violet sighed, hereing the bells ring. "Are you staying out here?" She asked Shaeman, while standing up.

"I'll go and look for Shad." Shaeman said.

"Good luck." Violet said, walking back up to the school.

"'I'm going to need it." Shaeman said.

Violet laughed a bit, and walked back up to the school, opening the door.

Holly watched everyone.
"I think I'll follow Violet," Holly said to nobody.

Violet looked back to see Holly following her. "Hurry up, the doors close soon." She told her.

Natalie walked quickly and quietly into the forest and found Shadow. She sat down beside her.

She smiled at her friend.

Shadow looked up at Natalie from her position curled up next to Merlas.
"Why did you follow?"

Violet walked back to the common room, waiting for Shaeman to come back. While she waited, she grabbed the rest of the stuff she had been hiding and threw them away.

Shadow pulled her cloak around herself to keep out the cold that she seemed to feel.

Violet huffed, and sat on her bed, bringing her diary with her. "Lets see how stupid I've been." She mumbled, reading from the first page.

Shaeman walked into the dorm and sighed, his silvery hair windswept and full of twigs.
