Shadow, Raven and Shaeman's leaving party.

The trio stood in the shadows just inside the forbidden forest, waiting for the friends that they had called. Everyone had been called so that they could say a last farewell before they had to leave them, their home, Hogwarts, everything, and return once more to their home dimension. Shadow held her head low, trying not to cry. Raven was picking at the hem of her cloak, and Shaeman was emotionless, even though he screamed out to the sky in his heart. They had told no one that they were leaving, and now was the time to tell them, before anyone tried to find a way to let them stay.

Shadow had read the stars so often, that she knew that there was no hope of being allowed to stay. The High Priestess' orders were clear. All Synari were being called back to their home dimension, no exceptions. She blinked back her tears desperately, trying to put a brave face on their leaving, but to no avail.

Raven wasn't crying, but her heart was filled with anger. Anger at the orders they had received. Just as they found their place and a close circle of friends, somewhere that didn't care who your parents were or how dangerous you were, they had to be ripped cruelly from everything that they wanted.

Shaeman stood a little way off, standing with two pegusi, one a rich brown, the other pure black. He was rubbing the black one's shoulder, trying to sort out his head. One part of him wanted to break down and cry, the other begged him to scream aloud in anger, but he did neither. It was not his place. He had found company on Earth, even though he was more dangerous than his half sisters, he had found a girl he loved more than anything, but no. It was not meant for him. Not for someone like him.

"I just said it. Join my father again, or die. Either way, he wins." She said, pushing her wand harder into her throat

Shadow tensed, moving away from the wand. She flexed her hand discretely under the blanket and felt a familier rush of warmth in her blood. She looked at Violet emotionlessly.

Violet looked at her. "Well? No one is here to stop me. Now go ahead and choose so I can get this over." She said.

Shadow closed her eyes, turning her head away. She could feel her strenth returning.
"Violet, please don't make me do this."

Violet shouted Avada Kedrava at Shadow, knowing the curse wasnt as strong as it was intended to be.

Shadow waited before springing out of the way, landing in a series of backflips and standing tall, her hands surrounded in dark energy, aimed at Violet.

"Thank you father!" Violet yelled before running out of the hospital wing.

Shadow's eyes rolled to the back of her head before she collapsed to the ground, having outspent her energy reserves.

Voldemort appeared in front of Violet, his arms crossed, expecting the results of the mission.

Violet stopped, turning to run back the other way. "Where is Shaeman whe you need him?" Violet asked herself.

Voldemort reappeared in front of Violet.
"You're not getting away so easily."

Violet swallowed, backing up. "Cant you leave me alone?" She asked, crying. "I'm tired of being a push toy, I'm a human, not a punching bag." She said, backing up more.

"What happened?" Vldemort hissed.

"Leave me alone!" Violet shouted running past him.

Voldemort sighed and strode into the hospital wing himself.

Violet ran outside, looking for Shaeman. "I know your out here!" She shouted, looking around.

Shaeman stood up shakily, having been knocked out by Voldemort's spell. He groaned, holding his head.
"Arias, not a migraine..."

"Arias my butt. Come on." Violet said, grabbing his hand and running back up to the school.

Shaeman stumbled at first, but managed toget his act together and sprint alongside Violet.

In the Hospital wing, Voldemort had his wand trained on Shadow's head. She had only just woken, and was looking at him with eyes full of fear.

Violet ran threw the doors and up to the Hospital Wing. "Leave her alone!" Violet shouted, out of breath adn flicking her wand at Voldemort.

Voldemort turned round after imprisonning Shadow in a magical sphere.
"You are a bit late." Voldemort said.

"I hate you." Violet sneered.

Shadow hammered on the sphere before sitting back, holding her arm closer to her in the pain of being branded again.

Voldemort looked at his daughter with contempt.

Violet glared at her father, looking at Shadow. "Why do you want a worthless demon anyway? She cant do nothing but cry." Violet said.

"Er... Violet, you're kind of looking at the Princess of Darkness..." Shaeman said quielty.

Violet ignored him, looking at her father still. "If you want a demon, I feel sorry for you, going for the weakest one. Hell even he is weak." She said, pointing to Shaeman. Violet wanted to tell him badly she was trying to make Shadow mad, but couldnt because of her father.

Voldemort looked at Violet with one eyebrow raised before he turned to look at Shadow who was meditating quietly.
"Learn to unleash the demon, and you could have worlds at your feet, no matter the strength of the demon."

"Go ahead, when you get killed for having a weak bunch on your hand, thats not my fault. And you cant trust them either, they say they will stay with you and then turn." She said, licking her lips.

"Not this one, I will be able to control her actions with ease." Voldemort said, still studying Shadow carefully.

"Yeah, just like keep thinking that. She wont get any better then worthless. All she will do is sit and cry and hug herself. And all he can do." She said, pointing behind her. "Is sing a song about sun sets or something. I'm telling you father, you'll regert it." She said.

"I don't think so. She has never shown her true power to anyone, and prefers that you think she is weak." Voldemort said.

"You now father, I've seen her mad. It's pathetic, just like someone running to cry. 'Oh I have light in my hands.' thats all it is. They cant fight to save there life." She said, sitting down on bed

"I hacked her mind while her defenses were weak, so you can stop the lies." Voldemort said.

"Whatever." Violet said, looking at her nails. "But whe your killed because of the worthless job she does, dont ask me to do another dam mission." She said, walking into the hall.

Voldemort didn't reply, still studying Shadow, who opened one eye in her meditation to see Violet leave.

Violet turned and punched the wall, breaking her wrist. "Ow." She mumbled.

Shaeman gently took Violet's arm and muttered a few words, allowing his magic to seep into the bone and heal it.

"Thank you." Violet mumbled, looking down.

Shaeman put an arm around Violet's shoulders, drawing her towards him.

"I thought you hated me." Violet mumbled into his chest.

"I was confused, and unsure of your actions. I made a mistake, and I hope that you can forgive me." Shaeman whispered to her.

Violet nodded, unsure of what to say.

"What happened back there? I don't understand..." Shaeman said.

"Nothing." She mumbled, biting her cheek.

"No, you said that we were weak, why?" Shaeman replied.

Violet didnt answer but looked down, biting her lip. Then, finally, she said. "I dont know."

Shaeman frowned, sighing.
"Didn't I ever explain that demons sense the truth and the lies?"

"Maybe once...or twice." She mumbled, turning around.

Shaeman shook his head.
"I just don't understand what is going on."

Violet looked back at the ground, shaking her head. "It's...nothing." She told him.

"I don't think so, otherwise you wouldn't have made such a fuss." Shaeman said.
