The End of Hogwarts.

First topic message reminder :

Shadow stood on one of the ruined towers, looking at the dust falling to the ground. She looked up at the night sky, watching the stars coming out. People were slowly coming out of the Forbidden Forest, shaken at having been inside the school as it started to collapse around them.

Holly nodded and looked at the crumbled, ruined grounds.
"I still cant believe this is happening .... " she murmured.

"Shadow lost control, she should never lose control. She knows that." Raven said bitterly.

There were several bitter remarks about to pop off Holly's tongue but she held them all in and sighed.
"Have you seen anymore survivors?" she asked Raven.

Raven looked at Holly.
"Not that we've seen." She said in the same tone.

Holly nodded sadly.
"We havent seen any either ... "
She looked across the black lake.
"Where'll we go?" she asked suddenly, "I- I mean where will you go. And then where will I go... "

"We should stay here for now, and then we can figure something out." Raven said.

Holly raised her eyebrows.
"We cant really stay here...." she said doubtfully, "Theres nothing. Like no shelter ... no other people ... no food ...."

"Ah, I forgot you humans need stuff like that. Er... we'll come to that." Raven said.

Holly rolled her eyes, but she was smiling.
"Surely half demons need other people. Id go mad without boy- without other people,"

Raven chuckled quietly.
"We don't, not really."

"Hm," Holly said thoughtfully, "And you dont need food either? Thats useful.....well I havent eaten or slept in hours so I think I will go a-hunting for something to eat....the kitchen might not be totally destroyed. And then Ill check my dorm and such...Fancy coming?"

"Shaeman, watch Shadow, contact me if there's something wrong." Raven said before standing up.

Holly threw one last lip-biting look at Shadow before setting off across the grounds to the entrance of Hogwarts.

Raven strode alongside Holly, silently.

Holly stopped at the stone pillar entrance.
"Reparo?" she asked heartlessly. Nothing happened. "It must be ruined beyond repair. That will have something to do with the fact its demon stuff aye?"
Without waiting for an answer, Holly climbed up on a pile of broken rock and made her way into the entrance hall, not unrecognizable.

Raven nodded grimly, levitating herself over the rubble.

Holly waited for her at the foot of the no longer grand staircase.
As soon as Raven joined her Holly stepped up a few of the non broken steps and moved some of the rubble out of the way.
"I dont have a clue where Im gonna go after today," she muttered again, reaching the first floor.

Raven said nothing, just looking around her.

"What about you guys?" Holly asked thoughtfully, "Where do you go at holidays and such?"

"We travel." Raven said vaguely.

Holly frowned thoughtfully, but persisted no more.
She made her way forwards across a large pile of broken glass and stone, and slipped on a particularly shiny piece. Holly held her hands out to stop herself falling, managing to get away with just a cut wrist.
"Dam," she muttered, holding it with her other hand, "Well at least now I have an excuse as to where they came from now eh?"
Holly drew her wand and muttered a tricky little spell, mostly healing the wound, but leaving a scar.

Raven sighed, picking her way accross the debris. She picked something up, a small brooch. She held it close, tears seeping out of her eyes.

Holly looked closely at the little brooch and then at Raven.
"Um....what....what is it?"

"It was Shadow's, and before her, it was our mothers." Raven said softly.

Holly nodded once and put an awkward hand on Raven's shoulder.
"Take it ..." she said.

Raven nodded, holding the brooch closely.

Holly stood shivering for a moment and then said hesitantly, "Shall we... um... keep goin?"

Raven looked up and nodded.

Holly nodded bracingly, and continued the walk to Gryffindor tower.
"Hey, you ever been in the Gryffindor common room before?" she asked as they reached the seventh floor.

"No, I was never good at passwords." Raven said.

Holly smiled but then frowned as they came to the slashed in half fat lady.
"No need for one any more," she said, and stepped into the common room. There was an aura of foreboding here. But, as Holly reminded herself, this was her common room.

Raven raised her eyebrows and walked inside.

"It didnt get hit too badly," Holly said optimistically, making her way up to the girls dorm. "You coming or what?"

Raven followed Holly silently.

Holly kicked a fallen portrait out of the way and entered her dormitory.
Her muggle posters had all fallen off the walls. Most were ripped. The large glass frame that had held a picture of all of her Hogwarts friends was shattered, but luckily the picture itself was unharmed. Holly pocketed this and opened her trunk.
"Oooh toffee's," she said absently, pushing aside what looked like a blueprint of Gringotts to take out a jar of toffee.
"Help yourself," she added to Raven.

"S'ok." Raven replied.

Holly nodded and decided to just empty her trunk onto her torn fourposter.
"What will I need?" she muttered, mostly to herself, "Money!"
She opened her pillow case and lifted out a wad of paper money, and then several galleons.
She turned to Raven.
"What else?"

Raven shrugged.
"We can go down to my dorm after."

"Righto," Holly said, grabbing a photo album from beneath her bed and a small book.
Just when she was about to ask Raven if she wanted to leave, she darted out of the room to return a few moments later with two items of male clothing.
"Rileys," she explained to Raven, "His mum'll kill me if I dont bring her something of his....."

Raven smiled slightly and started to head out.

Holly lifted her slightly lighter trunk, placed Riley's t-shirts in the front, and levitated it in front of her whilst she followed Raven.

There was a rustle from outside the dorm, and Hayley entered, her face stained with tears, Blueberry and a shaked George clinging to her cloak. "HOLLY!" she cried, throwing her arms around her, "Oh God, I thought you..." she chocked on her words, and handed George to her, "I found him...downstairs, he thought you were..." she half-smiled, and looked at Raven, "Thank God you're okay too..." she looked around, "Where's Shadow, and...where are we gonna go?"

"Glad you're okay," Holly said, "But ... I dunno where we're gonna go. Um...Riley he ... he didnt ..."
Holly broke off looking around.

Raven looked at Hayley and said hello.

Hayley smiled at Raven, although under the circumstanses, she didn't really feel like smiling. She turned to Holly and sniffed, "I know...I, um...I saw..." she stopped, deciding Holly didn't need to know the details of what she saw, "Neither did Al," she looked at Holly, "I'm sorry," she said.

Raven looked away, drawing her hood over her face to hide her anger.

Hayley cocked her head to one side, and looked at Raven, "Um...are...are you okay?" as soon as she said it, she wished she hadn't. Of course she's not okay! she thought, Hogwarts is gone, and so are most of our friends. She stopped, and looked around. "This sucks," she said quietly.

"No, because this is my sister's fault." Raven hissed.

Hayley frowned. Obviously as she had just arrived, she didn't know what was fully going on. "What do you mean?" she asked, quietly.

"Long story," Holly said quickly, "And its not totally her fault Raven."
