The End of Hogwarts.

Shadow stood on one of the ruined towers, looking at the dust falling to the ground. She looked up at the night sky, watching the stars coming out. People were slowly coming out of the Forbidden Forest, shaken at having been inside the school as it started to collapse around them.

Holly looked at her in disbelief before turning back to Shadow.
"She still had a chance," she muttered, feeling her wrist.

"In truth, no, she didn't." Raven said.

Holly stood up, a hand clamped over her mouth, thinking.
Without saying a word she turned and began to walk towards the black lake.

Raven strode off into the darkness, Shaeman following dejectedly.

Holly stopped at the giant oak tree that just hours ago she and her friends had been happily complaining under.
She took several deep breaths trying to calm herself, and then lifted her wand out. She turned it over in her fingers several times, as if in a trance. Two words and the pain would leave. Two words and all of this would end.

Raven turned back and looked at her sister before taking her sword, and curling one of her hands around it.

Holly pointed her wand towards herself, hand shaking.
"Av.....Avada ....."
After a moment she threw her wand on the ground.
"Im gutless," she muttered to George.

Shaeman trotted over to Holly and nudged her with his nose.

Holly didnt look at him but said, "Hi Shaeman....."

Shaeman nickered softly, lying down, folding his awkward limbs under him.

"You remind me of Shad's wolf form," Holly said softly, thinking.

Shaeman nickered softly.

Holly looked at him, troubled and stroked George's head.

Shaeman put his head on one side.

Holly looked at him and then said thoughtfully. "Was she still with Jamie?"

Shaeman shook his head.

"Oh," Holly said sadly.

Shaeman shrugged and shook his mane.

"Do you agree with Raven or with me?" Holly asked hopelessly.

Jamie orbed in and looked at the faces of everyone..
"You could cut the tension with a knife in here.." he said aloud

Holly looked up, thinking it was a hoax.
"J .... Jimbo?" she asked incredulously.

Jamie smiled at her and nodded...
"yes it I?!" he said laughing at her

Holly almost smiled and then said softly, "Shadow .... shes dead ...."

Jamie bowed his head...
"I heard of it, and yes we've talked. We decided that life would be easier this way, if she didn't come back, all her own choice." he said

"Dude she ..... she like just died. Raven killed her with a sword like ten minutes ago....."

"And i am here no more than 5," he pointed out to her

"Mm," Holly agreed standing up and taking a deep breath, "Its been a long night.... I gotta sleep....have you been in the village, is anywhere liveable?"

"yes, i have a room there, its all organised for everyone to stay.~" he smiled at them... "come on" he said putting his arm around Holly

"Thank you," she said weakly, resting her heavy head on his shoulder.

Jamie walked down the road with holly the three broomsticks seemed further away than it actually was, it was like walking in a funeral line behind the coffin almost depressing

Hayley followed Jamie and Holly, "What's gonna happen to us?" she asked.

Holly swallowed.
"This is like walking in a funeral line behind a coffin....." she said, "Almost depressing"
She shivered.

"life goina be hard, but we'll get through, we have enough grades and smarts to give us jobs, somewhere.." he said trailing thinking of his dream job. He once wanted to be the history of magic teacher at Hogwarts, but thatw as no-longer

Hayley nodded, surpressing tears.

Holly reached out and squeezed his hand, knowing he was thinking sad thoughts.

jamie looked at her and smiled, "it will be fine.."

Holly smiled bravely.
"Yeah it will"

Hayley fell into step with Holly, and linked her arm- something they had done as younger children. "As fine as it could be...under the circumstances," Hayley said, smiling sadly at Jamie.

Raven watched them, not following. She didn't belong there.

Hayley stopped, and turned back to Raven, "Um..." she said, thinking about Shadow, "You coming?" she asked, trying to push aside her grief.

Raven shook her head and strode away.

Hayley's brow furrowed, "Are you sure? We're going somewhere safe...you're...welcome to come," she said.

"I don't belong here any more." Raven said.

Hayley shook her head, "Sure you do. We're your friends. You belong with us," she said.

Raven looked uncertain.
"Even though I just killed my sister?"

Hayley didn't say anything. She looked at the ground, and then after a few moments, she spoke. "I'll never understand why you did that Raven. Never, but we still have to stick together when times are...hard. If you don't come with us, you'll have no where to go," she said.

Raven sighed and whistled for Shaeman, who trotted over. She nodded.
"Ok, we'll come with you."

Hayley smiled, and began to walk again, "It's for the best," she said.

Raven sighed. She knew something that the others didn't, and she hoped that it would work.

Hayley had the faintest feeling Raven knew something she didn't, but decided not to pursue the matter.
