Shadow's home on Earth.

A lonely house stood un the middle of a field hidden by the dense forest and protected by many invisible charms from many dimensions, making the house practically invincible. Round the back of the house, sat a block of stables housing a small pegasus herd that Shadow had bred herself.

Shadow appeared at the tall iron gate into her house, which was surrounded by a high wall. Muttering several words in many languages though her projected thoughs, the gates opened and she led Violet and Phoenix through before closing them with yet more words. Shadow turned to her two friends. Welcome to my home. She signed to them.

"Ah, that sucks." She said, walking to the door.

Shaeman opened the door, walking inside. Shadow ushred the twins inside as well before going to make some tea.

Violet sat on the couhc, looking at her feet. "Shadow, do you have any candy?" She asked.

Shadow walked back through from the kitchen with a tray of mugs. She smiled and handed Violet a bar of chocolate.

"Thank you." She said, opening it and taking a bit.

Shadow signed 'you're welcome' before taking a mug of tea and sipping it.

Violet looked at Shaeman. "Want some?" She asked, breaking off a piece.

Shaeman shook his head politely, drinking tea as well.

"More for me." She said, eating the piece.

Shadow put down her tea and signed something rapidly.
"I think so..."
More signing.
"No, I'm not sure."
More...
"Shadow, I don't know!"

Phoenix came and sat down taking a cup, she started drinking it.

Shadow looked up and smiled at Phoenix signing to ask if she was ok.

Phoenix smiled back "Yes, i'm good Shad" she said "How about you?"

Shadow shrugged, sipping her tea again until she stopped, head on one sde, listening. She had sensed something coming.

Phoenix looked at Shadow "What is it?" she asked her.

Shadow put down her tea and signed slowly to Phoenix.
The darkness is coming.

Phoenix sighed and stood up "Then we need to be ready" she said

Shadow shook her head.
WE need to be ready, you have to think of the child, and I'm not going to let you fight like that if one comes up.

Phoenix nodded "Your right i am thinking of my child and i will be helping you when it comes down to it, i will be helping you" she said.

You will not. Shadow signed, but with a this-is-final look on her face.

Phoenix shook her head "Sorry Shadow but i.." she was cut off when she saw the ring on her finger disappear, Phoenix smiled.

Shadow was adamant.
You will not go into battle bearing a child.

"And i will not just sit back and watch my friends go into battle without me helping them" she told her.

And I won't let you endanger yourself. If you must help, there is something you can do. Shadow signed.

"What?" she asked her.

Look after Archangel and Onyx. I don't want them in battle. Shadow signed.

Phoenix sighed "Shad..are you sure thats wise?" she asked "Leaving me to look after your children? you know what i'm like, a screw up"

Shadow shook her head.
They're not too bad, just don't let them out of your sight. Anyway, it'll be good practise for you.

Phoenix nodded "Ok" she said "But i'm still helping in whatever ways i can"

If I know someone's watching my children, it means I can fight without worry, that is helping. Shadow assured her.

Phoenix nodded "I know" she told her "But when it does come down to it, should i take the children from here?"

No. Shadow said.

Phoenix nodded "Right" she said walking towards the window looking out she said "Who's it this time?"

Shadow walked over to the window, looking out as well. She saw the foreboding, tall figure of Voldemort walking into the garden.

Phoenix looked at Shadow then back out the window.

Shadow had paled slightly before taking Phoenix's arm, taking her up the stairs and into her room. She put a hand on one wall, which then slid back to reveal a secret room. She pointed to Phoenix and the secret room before leaving and returning with Archangel and Onyx.

Phoenix looked at Shadow "Shad, you can't just take him on by yourself"

Shadow nodded grimly, saying 'I will try'.

Phoenix hugged her friend "Be care" she said.

Shadow nodded, hugging her friend back before she left to confront Voldemort.

Phoenix watched her friend leave.

Voldemort made his way toward the entrance of the house, smirking his face he raised his wand and muttered a spell to send the door crashing down.

Shadow raised her hands to generate a shield, stopping the door hitting her and sending it crashing to one side. She looked at Voldemort, a death glare over her face.

Voldemort smirked, glaring back he made his way into the house.

Shadow cast her shield across the room so that she was in the center of an impenetrable circle, and he was as well, stopping him from going any further.

The smirked which once was on Voldemort's face ceased to exist. Raising his wand he tryed to brake circle which was surrounding them.

Shadow felt the shocks on the shield, but the magic didn't falter, Shadow concentrating hard to make sure it didn't.

Concentrating harder but not being successful, Voldemort spoke. “Back down Demon!” he hissed.

Shadow shook her head and projected her thoughts.
"NEVER!"

Glaring harder, Voldemort managed to make an hole in the surrounding circle. “Back down! Demon !” he hissed stepping forward “You don’t concern me, I’m here for one reason and one reason only!”

Shadow teleported in front of Voldemort.
"You will go no further."
