Subject: Emmalynn's Advanced Potions Class Wed Oct 01 2008, 20:11

Emmalynn wrote today's potion on the board as she waited for her students to arrive.
She'd been a teacher for a year now, and her classes were very small.
Not too many kids wanted advanced potions anymore, and Emmalynn refused to teach the dunderheads.
She'd taken a liking to her godfather's, Severus, teaching style.

Alice walked in to a class room to see a verry few amount of people sitting here. She eased her way through the iele and sat down in a seat surrounded by empty desks.
"Um is this Advanced Potions Class?" she asked wondering why there werent more people she new tons of people that were good at postions why werent they here. She looked around the room waiting for a reply from franquly anyone. She gathereed her stuff and stood up.
"I think I have the rong room so I am going to go now" she annouced.

Emmalynn turned around.
"Sit," she said. "What is your name?"
This girl was here for three seconds and was already assuming that she was in the wrong place.
"This is advanced potions, and I'm Professor Emmalynn Snape, but call me Professor Lynn."
She took out her roster and waited for the girl's reply.

Alice turned around and slowly took her seat agin.
"I'm Alice, Alice Lovegood" she said once she took her seat.
"um ok and professor Lynn why is there like no one lese here?' Alice asked sure she knew people who were good at potions.
"ok what first" she said not waiting for a reasponse.

Emmalynn cleared her throat.
"There's no one else here because I hand-pick the very best students for my class, Miss Lovegood."
She walked over to the clock on the wall and pointed.
"Class also doesn't start for another five minutes..."she added.
As she continued to write on the board, a thought came to her.
"Are you related to Luna?"

o"ph woops that explains alot" she said looking at her watch witch turned out to be 10 minuetes ahead.
She quikly changed her watch then looked up.
"um well kinda well see i was adopted into there family so i call her my sister i guess you could say that" she said with a smile while scratching her head.
she looked around the room and sighed.

Emmalynn contemplated that for a bit.
"Quite an age difference there...." she mumbled.
She did not know if Alice had heard her.
"Luna is only a year younger than me."
Emmalynn finished writing the instructions for Pepperup Potio on the board and turned around.

"I know it's simple, but you'll be making it in bulk for Madame Pomfrey while I watch. Your fellow students will be taking this throughout the year, so it must be perfect."

She just was not in an enthusiastic mood so she couldnt act normally.

"sorry," torren apologized getting out her supplies as quickly as possible. then she hurried to start the potion. torren turned to alice, "so what's going on? what did i miss? i sense some tension in the room."

"oh nothingi just said something like it was a little basic she got a little defensive so i backed off or something like that" she whispered while working on the potion.

"oh," torren replied, "hmm, there seems to be a lot more tension in the air then that." she thought still working on her potion. it made a popping noise as she put in an ingrediant. "well then again she is related to severus snape, i heard he could be pretty harsh in his day."

"oh just to say i am Alice" she did not look up there was a slight pause.
"lovegood you would be?" she asked smiling as she lifted her head oh so slightly to see the face of the person she was talking to.

"so are we the only people or is everyone else ditching or everyone is sick" alice looked around the nearly empty class room as she still worked on her postion.

torren laughed, "yeah. it's ok to be sarcastic, it's fun sometimes." she smiled. "i used to have a really hard time just saying hi to people. i never really talked to anyone because i was terrified of losing them if i ended up getting close with them. there are a lot of things in my past that make me weary of trusting people. then i met shadow, she was my first friend here. i miss her a lot now that she's out of school, but she taught me that i should try to get to know people at least."

Alice took a few deep breath and then blinked twice longly.
"i never thought about it that way" Alice said taking a deep swollow. then she turned back to her postin working on it.

"i'm sorry," torren said taking notice of her own potion, "did i say something?" she asked putting some more ingredients into the potion. it made a hissing noise and turned bright green. "uh, is it supposed to be that color?" torren asked herself more than anyone and looked a little worried.

"guess i was paranoid about nothing. everythings in order with the potion so far. mm, why do you keep blinking and taking deep breaths and all?" she said finally looking back up at alice.

"well, i didn' lose anyone persay. my birthparents were awful stinking abusive drunks. then my foster parents left abandoned me when i got my letter. i was lucky enough to come acrossed a wizarding family to take me in. there are a lot of things in my past i've locked away. that i can't even remeber because i've locked them out for so long." she said starting to cry a little.

"i am a vampire and chill i am a vegitarian the closest thing i have eaten to humans is a monkey so i am not going to eat you. i cant bleed i cant cry i cant do anything human its slightly deppressing but the worst part is to see your friends get older and then die while you stand still" but i try not to think about that.
"i know this may sound wierd but have you ever wondered what it would be like to die it just fasinates me you probibly have never wondered that i just seem crazy right now dont I" she giggled smiling once again.

"i am a vegitarien meaning i dant eat humams , um i got in an acsedint with a vampire that ate humans and then Jona right here actully save me from being fully eaten but the venum was spread so she just let it spread. I have a cresent scar on my hand from it. I have been a vampire around like 118 something around there i dont exactly keep track it gets egzausting. And its fine i actully find it quite amusing that your so giddy about it and it refreshing oh bad word choice its diffrent i like it" She giggled anserwing ever question.

Alice giggled "see were vegetareans because animal quinch is your hunger like soy milk and tofu it doesnt completely satisfy your cravings and i bet if you looked harder in your life i bet it is pritty good. And the only way to kill a FULL vampire is to rip them to shreds and burn them and we can go out in the sun light we just sparkle and stick out but when your at a magic school i guess it doesnt matter. I was luckey i was once the pray so i learned the responsibillity part before i was even a vampire" She giggled more torren was a funny person.
"so you havnt met any other vampires i find that odd i cant seem to get away from them" She giggled quitly at herself.

"oh, so human blood is like eating meat to a vegetarian? i think i get it now. really, that's crazy. so have you met any super evil vampires? yeah," torren smiled,"it's kind of hard to stick out at a school like this. but it's good to be surrounded by people who stick out just as much, because if you had no one to understand you it would get pretty lonely." torren giggled,"well it makes sense that your own kind would be drawn to you. it's like werewolves or something like that i guess." she smiled. "and yeah you're the first real vampire i've actually met. nothing like all the muggle impersonations on halloween. to be honest, growing up thinking i was a muggle, all the vampire lore they had always disappointed me. i always thought there had to be much more to it, or something has to be off about that."

"really, but werewolves respond to each others calls," she shrugged,"wow well that's good i guess, that he's the only bad one you at least know of. when i was little and even until about two years ago, there was a part of me that i never shared with anyone. now, shadow and my very loving boyfriend know. just as you are about to, however i never considered it to be magical until i got my letter. there was a lynx that used to be a part of me. at first i thought it was just preminitions, but last year i found out it could actually get onto this plane. shadow, her sister, and i finally took care of it though and it hasn't bothered me since. i don't know much about my birth parents because i was so young when i was with them. i know that they were both muggles, but i'm sure there had to be magic in there somewhere, otherwise i don't think i'd be here at hogwarts now. i'm not really sure why magic is so important, other than it makes life a little simpler, yet more complcated at the same time. and there are some really neat things you can do with it. umm i enjoy being a witch very much most of the time. i'm not really sure why the wand chooses the witch or wizard or whomever, i think it might have something to do with the inner cores connection to a persons well, inner core if you will. but you'd have to ask someone who knows more about wands then i do." torren laughed at the last question, "rubber ducks are soo weird, they kind of scare me to be honest."

i can never seem to keep rubber ducks in my house i keep braking them i sware i had a pile of broken rubber ducks the size of mt rushmore, um why do you you think magical creatures a created if we are just keeping the secret the whole time" Alice smiled and giggled she was having some deppressing thought today.
