First topic message reminder :

Emmalynn wrote today's potion on the board as she waited for her students to arrive.
She'd been a teacher for a year now, and her classes were very small.
Not too many kids wanted advanced potions anymore, and Emmalynn refused to teach the dunderheads.
She'd taken a liking to her godfather's, Severus, teaching style.

Mathew laughed. "And also I wont be able to confuse myself. Imagine how Id feel saying a word I thought I knew what it ment and found out I was using it wrong. I'd feel like an idiot since Im in Ravenclaw"

"Well I did just get here a few days ago" Mathew said smiling. "That might be why you haven't seen me. Before I came to school here mom tried to homeschool me. I was too much of a hussle to her so she decided to enroll me into Hogwarts and on her way of doing that she saw that there was a position open and she took it. I hope I dont get placed into a class that shes teaching. It would be so embarrassing to have your mom teaching you"

"oh ya that is embarrissing. I once had my mum teach a class i was in it was so horibal going to school were parents work is like the worst thing that could happen. oh woops i'm not helping am i" she said cutting herself off from talking.

"Teacher shouldn't have kids" Mathew luaghed at Alice's reply. "Than their kids wouoldn't have to be embarrsed and if they have kids they should go on a temporary retirement until their kid graduates."

"sooo whats your life like?" she asked though there was really no explelenation for this spontaniouse question. Plus she already new half of it.

torren sighed to herself. it was cute how they flirted. tink, she thought to alice, you should ask him out! torren smiled, thinking of how her and ryan used to flirt before they started dating. she would purposely drop things, just so he would help her pick them up. torren sat up on the desk and watched alice and mathew.

torren i havent even talked to a guy science Emun i dont think dating is my fortay and if he likes me he will ask me out right she thought in Torrens head she was clueless although it didnt show she was lost.

"My turn to ask a question?" Mathew asked her. There were so many things he would of wanted to ask her. Like for insatnce if she liked him or not but he didnt want to ask her that right now in the middle of class.

"Ummmm," Mathew said as his mind went blank. He started to blush and than blurted out the first thing that came to mind.

"What's your favorite class?" Thats such a stupid question he yelled at himself.

Emmalynn snorted before she started laughing. She put a hand to her mouth to suppress it, and failed.

She turned to Torren. "My Patronus is the same as my Animagus, Miss Evans; a white tiger. Would you like to see?" she asked. Before Torren answered, though, she turned to Matt.

"By the way, Mathew," she started, sounding authoritative, "I have a child... she goes here. Got a problem with that?" she joked. She turned back to Torren.

well, actually some guys can be quite shy. torren thought to alice. if we hadn't been in a near death situation, i'm not sure ryan would have asked me out when he did. since he's pretty shy sometimes. it's ok to be scared, i understand, but if you don't take the chance you will never know.

torren noticed emmalynn speaking with her, "wow, i would love to see it." she said in awe.

Emmalynn, ignoring her students' telepathic conversation, grinned and nodded.

"Don't get scared..." she warned. She then transformed into a white tiger almost double her human form's size. She had large canine teeth and her tail added almost two feet to her length. If she reared on her hind legs, she'd be twice as tall as Torren.

"By the way, Mathew," Emmalynn started, sounding authoritative, "I have a child... she goes here. Got a problem with that?" she joked. She turned back to Torren.

Mathew turned red in the face and than noticed that she was joking. He gave her a weak smile and said "Well if my mom was as cool as you than I wouldn't have a problem with it"

He than turned to Alice who answered his lame question and asked him what his favorite time periode was. He was thinking it through whena ll of a sudden there appeared a a giant white tiger. He fell out of his seat and climbed to his feet blushing.

"sorry," torren said smiling at mathew, "i asked her to do it." torren giggled. "that's really cool." she said smiling at her professor, who was now a beautiful white tiger. "professor," she said sounding kind of troubled, "i was wondering." she looked down at her feet, "do you know anything about animal curses?"she asked emmalynn. "you know, where the person has been cursed to turn into an animal." she was holding back her tears, choking a little on her words.

"Thank you, Matt, for saying I'm 'cool'," she said. "But I'm not a cat. I'm a tiger."

She smiled and faced Torren. "Animal curses like... werewolves?" she asked.

"Cat, tiger there'll all the same. They both have fur and ears and whiskers and four paws and all that good stuff" he said. "The only difference is one's bigger than the other."

Emmalynn than asked torren if she was talking about werewolves and Mathew said "My m-, er I know someone whose a werewolf." he said almost saying about his mom being one. He didnt want the entire school to find out in case she lost her job.

"er, it's more like you are human, but you have that animals spirit in you and certain things set you off and turn you into the animal." torren told mathew, looking at him with sad eyes. she felt like she was going to cry again.

Emmalynn sat down behind her desk and thought about waht Torren was talking about.

"Well, Miss Evans, I'm first going to ask if this... person has gone to St Mungos. If he or she has, then what words set them off?" she asked. Emmalynn wondered if Torren was talking about herself, but didn't voice that just yet.

"er, no the person hasn't exactly gone to st. mungos, but i don't know if they could help anyway. i know it was a revenge type of curse. well, the words that makes them change is, "a raven's den." and the words to change the person back is, "christmas tunes." if you don't change the person back, the person stays a cat for like two hours. also it can be set off if, if the person sneezes, makes a girl cry, or if glass shatters on a red floor around the person."

torren looked at mathew, she heard what he said and it made her insides boil. "it was his own mother!" she yelled, "what kind of person does that to their own child?"

Emmalynn put her head on her hand, contemplating what to say. She had heard of revenge curses, but researched them to the point to find out that they weren't really "revenge" curses at all. They were just normal curses with particularly bad traits.

"Miss Evans, will you tell me, in confidence, the name of the boy who's cursed?" Emmalynn asked tentatively.

"When my mom was younger, grandma would curse her and send bees out on her." Mathew said shuddering a little. Than he grinned and said "It's so funny to see her around bees."

Emmalynn nodded to Torren.

"I'll do some research," she said. "As a teacher and former Auror, I have access to information you never dreamed existed." She opened a drawer in her desk and took out a piece of parchment and her pen. Then she wrote a quick note to her 'colleague' and put it in her pocket.

"I won't have much until I get a response to this, but I can always search the Restricted Section for now..." she said offhandedly.

Alice was stunned not sure what to say to any one she didnt want to make anything worse and she surly had no idea how to make it better.

Emmalynn smiled slightly before changing the subject. She looked at her desk and groaned.

"Students, never become a teacher. There's more paperwork than any job is worth!" she said, gesturing to her desk where there were precariously stacked piles of homework that needed grading.

"I didn't even have this much paperwork when I was an Auror..." she mumbled.

Emmalynn looked at Torren. "I will not stop giving homework. Ever," she stated. When Torren asked her about her Auror days, though, Emmalynn's face turned to one of nostalgia.

"Being an Auror was great...but really dangerous. I fought so many dark wizards that I've lost count, but I didn't always win my battles, Miss Evans." Emmalynn unconciously rubbed her shoulder.

"I was also tortured more times than I can count; I have many scars from my battles..." she explained. "You see, Miss Evans, I was a spy. I was a spy that was very deep in Voldemort's inner circle... He didn't like traitors, Miss Evans, not at all..." Again, Emmalynn touched another mark, this one on her arm.

"well just by that little disscription i would say thats the perfact job for her she lovees her danger" she joked with torren. She then giggled almos silently to herself. She had remebered when torren would want to go on great dangerouse adventures and then they ended up wanting ice cream.
