Subject: Thoughts Of the Past Sun Nov 16 2008, 22:15

Oddie was standing out on a cliff. She looked down at the waters crashing against the wall. A tear was flowing down her cheek and plumeted down to the waters below.

There was a slight breeze blowing and Oddie held on tight to her robes trying to block out the wind. Her hair whipped around her face but she notice it. She just stood there glaring out into the sea watching the water and thinking. The first image to enter her mind was Mathew her first boyfriend. At first she hated him but as she spent more time with him she fell in love with him. Than her father had ended his life. Some time after his death she found out that she was pregnant with her son Mathew but she didn't tell anyone. Instead she feld mourning thee death of not only Mathew but also he best friend Zelda Rundell. She seeked to get revenge for both of their deaths by killing as many Death Eaters as she could. Than she had her son and she returned.

She was happy. She was no longer killing just as her father did and she was happy staying with her son Mathew. Than one day a group of Death Eaters came and found her son. They killed him, right in front of her eyes. Just as her father had killed her boyfriend. They raised their wands, uttered the curse and green light filled the room. Every time she closed her eyes that was the image that she saw. Her son and her boyfriend both dying over and over again.

"I can't do it" Oddie called out into the wind as she fell to her knees. More tears flowed down her face as she looked over the cliffs edge

"Oddie!" Emmalynn yelled over the harsh winds.
"Oddie, come here! That's dangerous!" she pleaded with her friend. "You can't live in the past!"
She ran to Oddie and wrapped her arms around her friend. "Come back to my place... Everyone's so worried. They're searching for you everywhere."

Oddie heard a familiar voice call out her name but she ddint look up. Instead she gazed down at the water.

Emmalynn appeared and Oddie felt her wrap her arms around her shoulders. Oddie tried to shrug her away but she couldn't. The tears came even faster and she whiped them away with her sleeve.

"I don't want to" Oddie said. "I have nothing. I lost everything. Why continue to live. I have no son, I have no boyfriend. I have nothing. Just let me go"

Oddie got to her feet and pushed away Emmalynn. She walked closer to the edge and looked down at the crashing water below. She wanted to jump but she couldnt. What is stopping me. I have nothing but why can't I jump Oddie thought

Emmalynn was now in tears as well. "What about us?! Your friends! You're like family to us, Oddie, would you cause us this pain?! Don't do this!"

She got to her feet and took Oddie's hand. "Oddie, is this what they would have wanted? Would they have wanted you to kill yourself?"

"What about us?! Your friends! You're like family to us, Oddie, would you cause us this pain?! Don't do this!" Emmalynn said.

"If I go than you can join me later" Oddie said looking still at the water but unable to jump yet. Emmalynn was right, her friends would miss her but than they too would come to the end of their life and they would see each other again. Maybe she thought Mayeb we shall see each other again but than maybe not.

"Oddie, is this what they would have wanted? Would they have wanted you to kill yourself?"

Tears sweeled in her eyes and rolled down her face. Oddie felt Emmalynn take her hand. She thought of her son and her boyfriend, even Zelda. They wouldn't want this. Oddie fell to the ground and started to sob.

"Your right" Oddie said in between her sobs. "They wouldn't want this but I can't go on"

Emmalynn moved between Oddie and the ledge and took both of her hands in her own.

"Yes you can, Oddie. You'll find a way, and I know for a fact that I'll be there for you, and so will Elladora and Violet. You can do this, and we'll help," she said gently, smiling slightly at her friend.

Oddie looked up at Emmalynn. She than looked back down at Emmalynn's hands which were holding hers.

"I'm being foolish" Oddie said forcing a laugh. "I'm not thinking clearly." Oddie freed one of her hands and used it to whip away the tears. "Your right. I have the greatest friends who are willing to help me no matter what. I'm just an idiot."

Oddie looked back at the edge and now felt guilty for what she was planning on doing. How could she be so reckless and not think about her friends. Surely she would be hurting them. How could she be so selfish.

Emmalynn smiled and hugged Oddie.

"Now let's get out of here and let the others know you're okay... or you will be." Emmalynn let go of Oddie and looked her in the eyes. "You will be okay, Oddie, trust me. I also almost killed myself once. I actually managed to get the first two syllables of the killing curse out before Violet snapped my wand..." she confessed.

"The saying 'Time heals all wounds' is a lie, Oddie. It never goes away, but it gets better. It becomes something that makes you stronger as a person... Trust me."

Oddie listened to what Emmalynn said and was surprised to hear that she too tried to kill herself. "You tried to kill yourself?" Oddie asked startled. She than tried to push back fresh tears.

Oddie shakily got to her feet and brushed off the dirt that was on her robes. She than looked at Emmalynn and said :I hope that your right. I hope things get better. I don't think I can deal with any more. I'm sure that if I stick by you I'll be fine" Oddie added with a small smile.

Emmalynn nodded sadly. "When Severus die- was murdered, I tried to kill myself," she explained.

She put an arm around Oddie and started to walk back down the cliff. "Stay by all your friends Oddie. We're here for you. Some of us, like me, can relate... You'll be okay."

"I trust you" Oddie said as she walked by Emmalynn. She felt that Emmalynn would be able to help her out the most since she already went through what she tried to do.

After walking for awhile Oddie stopped walking and turned to face Emmalynn. "How did you know I was here?" she asked her

Emmalynn paused. She honestly didn't know how she'd known.

"I guess I just did... I just had a feeling and I Apparated here. I've never even been here before.... I don't think so anyway..." she said, stumbling over her explanation.

"Not many people know of this place" Oddie said. "That's why I picked here to come. I didn't think anyone would should up but now I'm glad I'm glad soemone did. Just imagine what could of happened if you didn't show" she added giving her a weak smile

Emmalynn squeezed her friend. "I'd rather not..." she mumbled. "Where would you like to go?" she asked.

Oddie hugged Emmalynn when she gave her a squeeze. "Anywhere where I can try to forget about everything. Not a bar. I've been to too many of those these past months." Oddie said to her. "Drinking is a horrible thing to do. Let's go somewhere fun or something" oddie added giving her a weak smile

"Somewhere fun?" Emmalynn thought out loud. "Like where?" She hadn't had much lay-back-and-relax time lately what with work and work and work...

Emmalynn tried to think of somewhere relaxing.

"I've got it! have you ever done Side-Along Apparition?" she asked. She knew the perfect place to take Oddie.

"Oddie!" Yvaine exclaimed as she walked up to see where Oddie and Emmalynn were standing. She ran up to her old friend, but when she went to hug her, Yvaine could sense much sadness in her eyes.
Ignoring it for the moment, Yvaine said, "Oh I've missed you so!"
Yvaine, control yourself. This isn't how you need to be behaving. You're a grown woman., Yvaine thought to herself. She stepped back and tried to control her emotions while she waited for a response from her old friend.

Oddie heard a familiar voice call out her name. A voice that she hadn't heard in what seemed like years. The last place she must of heard it was when she was down in the chamber of secrets. Oddie turned around and saw her good friend Yvaine.

A huge smile appeared on her face as she watched Yvaine ran towards her and Emmalynn. Yvaine embraced her in a hug and Oddie returned the hug as fresh tears rolled down her face but these were tears of joy. She thought for the longest time she would never see Yvaine again yet here she was.

"Yvaine it's so good to see you!" Oddie exclaimed once Yvaine withdrew from the hug. "So much has happened since I last saw you. How have you've been?"

"I've been alright. But you! How have you been?" Yvaine still tried to control herself but failed as a tear ran down her face.
"We haven't spoken since we were in the Chamber of secrets, have we?" She asked. She, even, did not entirely remember what happened back in the chamber.
"So, what has happened in your life since we last saw each other?" Yvaine asked, as excited as a young school girl.

"Yvaine so much has happened since then" Oddie said. "After that day I met someone. His name wass Mathew but the Dark Lord killed him" Oddie said as a tear ran down her face. She thought back to that day and remebered the look on his face after Voldemort struk him with a killing curse.

Oddie whiped away the tear and than continued. "Than after his death I had a child and I named him Mathew as well. You should of met him. He was so kind and so funny." she said with a huge grin. "I named him Mathew right after his father. Me and him used to travel all over the world. Than one day I came back here to London and we bought a house and lived here for a few years." A frown than appeared on Oddie's face and tears started to form in her eyes. "Than they came and took his life." she managed to mutter.

"Oh Oddie. I'm so sorry" Yvaine said as she wrapped her arms once again around her old friend.
"I'm sorry I missed all of that. I've been gone now for so long it seems." Yvaine said. "Well, I'm not going anywhere this time." She said, even though she didn't quite belive it, though she wanted to dearly.
"Everything will be alright." She said to Oddie as she let go of her.

Oddie whiped away more of her tears as Yvaine gave her a hug, "Thanks Yvaine" Oddie said, "I just need to forget about it and move on I guess. I glad that your here" Oddie added returning the hug

"I'm glad that I'm here too." Yvaine looked around. "What are you doing here anyway?" She asked Oddie with a puzzled look on her face.

"Here?" Oddie said. She looked over at the cliff's edge and didnt know how to explain herself. "I was being silly" she said shaking her head and looking away from the cliff's edge. "I wasn't thinking stright. I should of never came here."

Yvaine looked over to the cliff. "Oddie, you weren't really going to-" She cut off, and a tear rolled down her face.
She looked back to the cliff and thought of how many times she, herself, had considered that. Well, those days are over now, she thought to herself.

"Yvaine it's okay because I decided that won;t fix nothing thanks to Emmalynn" Oddie said seeing a tear on her face. She than looked over to where Emmalynn was and before she turned back to Yvaine. "I was foolish"

"Well, now that is behind us, what shall we do?" Yvaine asked.
Suddenly, a thought came over Yvaine and she just had to blurt it out, "Are you still a Death Eater or did you turn to the Order?" Yvaine was carful not to be too loud, as she knew Emmalynn was not a death eater.

"I have joined the Order" Oddie said. "But I am a spy for them. What about you Yvaine? Are you still a Death Eater?" Oddie whispered so that Emmalynn didnt hear. She didn't want Emmalynn to know if she was a death eater

"Some things never change. Yes, I am still a Death Eater." Yvaine said. "Though I'm not sure why I remain loyal to the man who has caused me so much pain." Yvaine let out a small chuckle, "Literaly and figuratively." She continued.

"Well I hope that you remain safe." Oddie said giving her a sad smile. She didn't want her to be a Death Eater anymore but it was her choice. "Well since I'm a spy I still might see you around the Den" she chuckled. "Though the Dark Lord has been defeated I really don't have much spy work to do"

At that time a tall man started to limp towards the group. He looked as though he had been out to sea for seven years and fell before them.

Oddie heard something behind them and turning arouns she spotted a man who was limping towards them. Oddie gave Emmalynn and Yvaine a quick glance before she turned back towards the man only to find that he collasped on the ground.

"Oh no" Oddie said as sge rushed towards the man. She tried to help him to his feet saying "Are you okay? You look horrible? Do you need help?"

Oddie warpped the man's arm around her neck and tried to pull him to his feet. Since she wasn't very tall she was having trouble trying to help him up. "I think that we should get you to a hospital" Oddie said

" No.... they would say that I am dead ... " Ralph Rundell said.. " Oddie... tell me... how is Zelda... I haven't seen her since..." He said as though he had lost his mind.

Oddie heard the man talk about Zelda and she turned to see his face. Looking closely she reconize it to be Ralph. "Ralph?" Oddie said, "What do you mean they would just say your dead?"

" I have been hiding from them... the death eaters..." Ralf said hafe insain for the battle he had fought him had driven him insain.. " The helpers... they are all death eaters.." He said...

"They aren't Death Eaters Ralph" Oddie said as she sat him down hoping that he would be able to sit on the ground. Oddie held out her hands incase he showed signs of falling. "Ralph Im going to take you to the hospital you need help"

"No Ralph. You remeber me. I'm Oddie. Zelda's firend. Surely you remeber me" Oddie said. She just sat there besdie him not moving unsure of what to do. Ralph seemed a little crazy. "Okay Ralph if you don't want to go to the hodpital we can gho to my place."

This time when Ralph fell, Yvaine ran over to help him up.
"Ralph, you're not well." Yvaine said to Ralph, then she turned to Oddie, "We need to get him out of here" She said.

"Let's go to my house. I have a room where I can make potions. I bet we can make something to help him" Oddie said helping Yvaine to keep him from falling. "We'll have to appearte to there."

"Okay let's go" Oddie said as she turned on her heels and felt the familiar sensation of apperating. She concentracted on her house and being in the livingroom.
