Thoughts and Opinions Thread

This is the thread where members can post their graphics creations for other people to see, and for thoughts and opinions to be given. Consider it a sort of 'showing off' thread, if you like, but also a place where you can receive constructive criticism for aspects of your graphic making.

Here's my latest graphic, just a simple colourisation, which I'm planning to put on the up for grabs section of my graphics site. My biggest problem with it though is, like always, the text. I'm not sure if it overpowers the image.

I think that the text on that is great. I dont think it overpowers the image at all in this case.

I am not great at graphics, so ignore my thoughts if you want lol
The image itself looks slightly blurry in that banner. It may just be me, though. It is still great

Thanks for your comments I tried to get rid of the blurriness (what you get for using an image from a film from the 1930's lol), by sharpening the image, but that looked worse than the blurriness itself...

I made this and just wanted to know if it looks fine like that or if I should add more to?

It's one I really liked making of course it's Dramione So thoughts and suggestions are welcomed.

I think it's good, however there are a few things I should mention. I think the text would look better a little smaller and at the top next to Hermione's head, in the gap there. Also, I'm not sure about the black strip at the top - I don't think it's needed.

Otherwise, it's a great graphic

I think it's good (hehe and I am not by far the goddess of graphics, though it's nice of you to say so).

The only thing I would suggest is that you erase a little of Draco's shadow - as it goes all the way around the head it looks a little unrealistic. Hermione is great though - good job!

Very good The line down the middle really looks effective. Here are my two new graphics, very different in style from each other lol.

I love them both - the second one is my favourite though.
In the first one, could the image of the person be duplicated more? But thats just me - Im a duplicate freak lol

Here is one i made for a challenge. I have put them both on a backdrop for the challenge though to post here I left them seperate. It is a CD cover challenge!

I really like the way the woman in the second picture seems to have her arm wrapped around the line. Very good

Now, I've just done this graphic, and I need opinions on which is better, the one in colour or the black and white one?

Ooh, nice! I like what you did with the words 'true love' -- how you made them fade into the background as well as writing them in bold. But why do you have a period after 'other' --shouldn't it be a comma? Or rather no punctuation at all since the entire thing doesn't really have punctuation.

It is a comma lol, I guess the font I used makes it look like a full stop.

Oh, wow. This one's really amazing.

I was bored and so I just made this one, it's perfect for halloween and I also played around with the warping tools :D I was trying to think of a catchy phrase for it but so far no idea. Heh, so what do you guys think?

I did this one for wytchkitty's banner for her story but it wasn't quite what she wanted but she liked the color of it so here you guys tell me what you think. I even put in a pic of Blaise-or what I pictured him like heh.

Okay here's couple i just did. The first one was me playing with the warping tools again heh. The skeleton breaking through the wall was just something im playing around with.




Now...this is Harry's ghost after dying; beside his grave and that is a stag in the background also done to look ghostly. I had a little trouble with the scenery contrasting with the feathered images ::badcomp:: But yes this is Harry's ghost.

ooo, Elfie, I really like that! The background seems a little pixelated (is that a word? lol) but it is far better than anything I could ever do

Wow, Elfie that's really good I like the lighter bar going across it, really adds a lot, along with the pink. But I have to agree with Cookie when she says it's a little 'pixelish' or whatever you want to call it.

Elfie - niiiice thoughyeah like they mentioned it is sort of pixelish and a tiny bit blurry.
Yeah better than what I can do but a little touching up would be an idea.

I made this one cuz I'm obsessed with making manips now :D So once again one of my favorite ships with harry and ron. It kind of has a spookyness about it...I think. :D

That's good. The area with Draco and Hermione in is blended really well, but I think Harry and Ron look a little stretched. There's also an area above Harry's head which is flat - it looks like the top edge of the image - perhaps get your eraser at a low opacity and just erase that line out a bit. Apart from that, I like it (though not the ship :D), and you're right, it has a spookiness about it, which I think stems from the blue colour and the border, which looks good.

Oh wow those icons are gorgeous! I especially love the first three, they're so bright and clean and colourful! I'm jealous - icons are my weak point, and those are stunning.
