Dueling Tournament Term Seven: Round 1 Group 2

Alice walked quickly but quietly to the dueling room. She was slightly nervous as she knew both Gemma and RhiannonMei were quite good duelers, she was also versing her friends Kate and Sashi and didnt like the thought of attacking them. Also another dueler who she didnt know. Alice knew that only the top two dueler would go through, and she hoped very much she would be one of them.

If you looked at her, you probably would know Alice was headed towards a duel. Her clingy, satin light blue dress wasnt remotely protective. It was held up by spaggetti straps and there were two triangles like pieces on the top half of the dress, almostlike a bikini top. It the wrapped around her slender frame down to just above the knees. Alice wasnt even wearing shoes, and it made a noticable difference to her height. Usually she could be seen in killer platform heels but now more than ever it was exrteemly obvious Alice didnt even clear 5 feet. Alice didnt really care if people didnt think she looked ready for a duel. She fought best when she was comfortable, and not worried about supporting super bulky armour. The only difference to her usual appearence (other than the lack of stiletto heels) was her long loosely curly dark brown hair was tied into a loose side ponytail with a piece of ribbon to keep it out of her face, although since her fringe and some of the layers round the side of her face had fallen out this wasnt completely working. It was better than nothing and as good as it was going to get though.

All too soon for alice's nervous stomach, she arrived face to face with the door. It look really think and heavy, made of some kind of strong metal and alice wondered if she would even be able to get in. If it had been seal or something alice doubted she was powerful enough to blast though it. Alice sighed, it would be a shame to not even make it into the room, let alone the next round. She looked up and down the empty corridor and took a deep breath. She grabbed the handle and pushed. Nothing. She pushed a little harder and the door moved slightly. Alice breathed out, slightly tired. The door wasnt locked, but it was super heavy and alice was having dificulty opening it with her tiny frame.

''Reducto! [blasts solid objects]''Alice cried. The spell hit the door and blasted it open just as she hopped. Whilst it was far to strong and thick for the spell to blast though the door, because Alice had already opened it a little, it managed to push the door open.

Alice stepped into the room boldly. She realised that if anyone else was already there they would certainly be warned of her approach, as she hadnt been quiet in opening the door, and wouldve concealed themselves magically by now. The room was pretty basic, the only furnature being a couple of chairs. Everything, including the chairs was a shiny metalic chome and cast fuzzy reflections like the ones you can see in your kettle. Alice looked around the room some more and figured since she haddnt been attacked yet, there probably wasnt anyone else here yet. This made her smile as she had, at least, done one thing right by arriving early.

Alice turned around to shut the door incase someone else arrived and found that it was much lighter from inside the room and she was able to shut it with easy. Alice frowned, how odd. She tried opening it again, but it was just as heavy as before, only now she was trying to pull it open rather than push it. Alice backed away from the door, suddenly realising what it remineded her of; a bankvault. Alice had never been inside a bankvault before but this shiny metal seemed to fit. And the door didnt like to be opened, but it was alot easyer to do it from the outside. Was the room trying to lock her in?

Alice shook her head and cleared her thoughts. No, she was just being paranoid. She was probably the only one who would struggle with the door because of her small frame. Some one bigger and stronger could do it with ease. Alice reassured herself.

Alice jumped about a foot in the air as she realised that someone could be coming right now and she hadnt done anything with her advantage of arriving first! Not laid a single trap! Alice whipped out her wand and decided to get to work; fast! Alice had recently been reading a book on magic from the Czech Republic, and a few spells came to mind instantly.

''Vznášet se A Držet [levitate and Hold]''Alice said as she pointed her wand at the chairs and levitated them above the door.

She then pointed her wand at the chairs and said, ''Pustit se do jídla Kontrolovat ; Nechráněný [Fall on Command; Open]''. This would cause the chairs to fall when the command was given, that command being the door opening. Ideally, the next person the enter the duel would step through the door and have about half a dozen chairs collapse on their head.

Alice grinned as another idea came to mind. She pointed her wand at the chairs once more and said ''Тяжелый вес [Heavy weight]''. That was a Russian spell which increased the wieght of an object and made it super heavy, which may end up being painful for the next person to walk through the doors.

Alice pointed her wand at herself this time, preparing to use the last spell before waiting for company. ''Koža prisutnost [Hide presence]''She said. This spell, Serbian this time, was a useful spell that concealed you presence, so whilst somebody who walked into the room could still see her, spells such as hummulin revelio would not be able to tell she was there.Alice then positioned herself next to the hinges on the door, so when it wasnext open she would be at first blocked from view, and patiently waited for an opponent.
