Subject: Dueling Tournament Term Seven: Round 1 Group 3 Sun Jun 07 2009, 09:07

Welcome to Dueling Room 3. The room is large and mostly empty. The door to the room is narrow and made of smooth, polished black stone. The entire inside of the room is also pure black and the room is lit from above with black light.

Each participant may post up to 6 times, but no double posting! This round will be up about a week, but because the tournament will be rushed, the points available will be high. Good luck and duel with honor!

Violet yawned, walking down to the large room she was told to be at. She had been waiting for so long to prove herself in this tournament, but like the other times, she never even got close to winning. “I wonder if the others are down there yet…” She mumbled to herself. As she opened the door, she saw it was empty, but she kept her guard. She pulled her wand out, looking around the room. “Homenum Revelio!” She yelled. When it proved no one was in the room but her, she stepped in, shutting the door behind her.

“Time to set some traps..” She said, smirking. She went around the room, looking for good places to put some traps, but saw none. “Hmm…looks like whoever comes threw that door will be in for it.” She said, giggling softly. She took off her shoes and places them directly in front of the door. Quickly, she whispered invisibilita. That should be good enough. Whoever walked in next would surely trip, giving her a head chance to curse whoever came in.

"Where else to stand?" She mumbled, looking at the floor. Standing in the middle wouldnt be a good idea. She walked over to the side of the wall, near the door where she was sure she couldnt be seen unless they fully got into the room. She whispered Protego around her to keep her protected. It wouldnt be long before someone came in. She would just have to renew her charm over and over until they came and decided to attack.

Stephy was sitting in her living room when all of a sudden an owl flew in through the window and dropped a letter. She picked up the letter that had fallen on her lap and opened it up without even looking at the envelope that the letter came it. She unfloded it and read the title which said 'Dueling Tournament Now Open" Stephy jumped to her feet and screamed as she jumped for joy. She had been waiting and waiting for this time to come. She even sent Rai many message telling him that the Dueling Tournament needed to start and was about to go insane with the lack of dueling and finally here she recieved a letter saying that the first round was up. Looking farther at the letter she saw that she was able to bring two things. "What to bring" she said wondering.

A few minutes later and showed up at the door that lead to the room that she was suppose to duel at. She had with her the Ravenclaw Hogwarts Robes that she always wore at each duel along with the two items she was allowed to bring, a pouch that attached to a string that hung around her neck. The pouch only had one thing in it, a mirror. She had used a mirror before in previous duels and it had came in handy more than once. She knew have precious something that small could be.

Stephy walked up to the door and was about to barge in when she remebered that she was walking into the dueling room, even when she entered the Ravenclaw dorm room she had to but some protective charms on her. She quickly set up a Shield Charm by muttering the words "Protego." Next she pointed her wand at the knob of the door and said "ostendo procer" (Show Prints) and this spell would show if anyone had touched the door recently by showing finger prints. Just as she had said the words lines appeared in a bright blue light showing clearing finger prints. She knew that there was at least one person in the room, she just wondered who it was. Glad that she had the shield charm up she knew she had some protection. Stephy carefully opened the door and took a step into the room holding her wand up just incase. So far no one had aimed a spell at her and so she continued walking until all of a sudden she fell onto her face having tripped over something on the ground. Stephy quickly rolled onto her back and climbed to her feet, she felt something warm run down her face and thought that it was probably from her nose bleeding but she wasn;t worried out that, she was sure there was a spell coming towards her.
