Only those listed below may contend in Round 2. The top two duelers with the highest combined scores from round 1 and 2 will move on to fight for the title in Round 3.

For those brave 5 that have survived Round 1, you find yourselves before a large white, icy door. The air is noticeably colder here than in the rest of the castle. When you open the door you find yourself in a winter wonderland, with a nightmare twist. The landscape is frozen, but the frigid water lies churning beneath the ice you walk on. As more of you enter the room, your temperatures may cause breakage and perhaps you'll find yourself floating on an ice burg, either away or towards your foes. You are not alone, in the room magically expanded to the size of a small town, are several hungry polar bears, and trapped beneath the ice, waiting patiently, are ravenous sea lions. Not only will you be dueling each other, but also the elements. You may bring one other item with you into the dueling room besides your wand but you will need to state what it is in your first post. There are no posting limits outside of no double posting. There are a lot of points up for grab, so be sure to bug your opponents to post to increase your scoring abilities. Wands at the ready!

Stephy followed the directions given on the piece of paper she had to get into the dueling room. She was super excited about this match, it being another group one which ment it would be very difficult. She just hoped that this one would be much more exciting than the last. She did get trapped but just as quickly as the duel began it ended so it seemed. Oh well time to get ready for the next match she thought to herself as she made her way down the hallway and to the door. Looking at the door she thought that it looked like it was made out of ice. Stephy placed her hand onto the door and felt some of the ice melt under her body’s temperature. Stephy quickly pulled her hand back towards her body and as she did so she felt the skin on her hand rip. Looking down she saw that it was all red. “OOwww” she whined. “I have a feeling everything is going to be freezing cold. I best make sure I’ll stay warm before I enter the room” she muttered to herself as she reached into her robes for her wand. Pointing the wand at her torso she whispered “Suscipio Somes Estus” (Maintain Body Heat). With this spell Stephy was sure that no matter how cold the room was her body temperature would not drop. She would fell just as she does right there standing in front of the door. Slipping a piece of her robes over her hand, Stephy made sure that the piece of fabric would keep her hand from touching the knob directly. She didn’t want it to rip off anymore skin from her hand.

Stephy’s mouth dropped open as she looked around the room to see that she appeared to be in a beautiful place filled with snow and ice. She loved just about everything about winter except for the cold. If only winter could be warm she would love it. She looked all around the room seeing many things that she would bewitch to her advantage. Grinning she walked farther into the room keeping an eye out for any other duelers or anything else in the room. As she was walking forward she thought many times that she saw something ahead of her moving but all she could see was white. Stephy continued on walking and after walking for what seemed like forever she came to the conclusion that this room was huge. Stopping, Stephy thought that she heard some noise behind her. Turning around she saw what appeared to be a polar bear. That must have been the thing that she thought that she was seeing. Trying to hold back a scream, Stephy raised her wand and said “glacies habitum” (ice hold) and out of the ground appeared spikes of ice that twisted itself around the bear. It tried to break free but was unable to do so. Stephy walked a little closer to the bear and saw the ice around it started to melt because of the heat from the bear. “Bye, bye bear” Stephy said as she turned on her heels and ran away from the bear as fast as she could. Once she stopped she decided that it was now time to do something to help her with the duel instead of wondering around the place getting lost.

Stephy looked around her and saw that under her feet there was what appeared to be water. “Ummm.. Maybe” she said as she pointed her wand at the ground and said “Incendio” (fire spell) and she melted a hole into the ground that opened up to the water below. Stephy than pointed her wand at her head and said “ebullio caput capitis” (bubble Head) and what appeared to be a fish bowl appeared on her head. Stephy than jumped down into the hole and into the freezing cold water glad that she had cast that warming spell before she entered the room. Now she was under the duel and had the advantage, to a point. Sending spells through the ice was going to be a challage but Stephy knew she’d figure out a way. She looked up and noticed that she couldn’t see too well through the ground. Pointing her wand at her eyes she muttered “Animadverto per glacies” (see through ice) and now she was able to see right above her was ice cicles on the ceiling. Making another hole in the ground, making this one only big enough for her arm to fit through, she aimed her wand at the ceiling saying “Furta occumbo” (trick drop). This would make it so that who ever walked under the ice would trigger it to fall down on top of them. Satisfied with her work, Stephy swam on down back to the door where everyone was going to be entering at.
