First topic message reminder :

Oddie was the only one in her house at the time, Mathew left to hang out with some friends leaving Oddie by herself to pick up the messy house. She spent most of the day picking up Mathew's things from school. The school year was over at Hogwarts and Mathew had finally finished Hogwarts. Oddie was so proud of him and now was working on trying to get him to move out of the house. She wanted him to start his own life on his own and maybe even get married and have grandchildern. Something that she wanted dearly.

Oddie walked into the kitchen, finally finished with putting away Mathew's last spell book and was now going to tackle the dishes. She ran the water and put some soap in the sink. With a flick of her wand the rag rose up out of the water and started to clean the dishes on her own. Now she ciould have some time to relax as she watched over the dishes. She headed over to the table but as she made her way there she started to feel lightheaded and her surroundings started to spin. Oddie fell to her knees she than threw up some blood, shortly afterwards she passed out

Mathew shrugged. He wasn't convinced. He was sure that being an Auror would be fun. He would be able to track down Dark Wizards and boast about his achievments

"How long until the surgery is over?" Chris asked.

Mathew looked down at his watch and saw that they had ten minutes left. "Whoa she'll be done in ten minutes. We better go now. She'll be there before we'll get back" Mathew drained his cup and than threw it away waiting for Chris

Chris finished off his coffee and threw his cup away. Then he walked out the door and made his way down the stairs with Matthew.

Mathew followed Chris quickly making his way back to Oddie's room. By the time Mathew enetered teh room he saw that Oddie was in there sleeping at the moment. The Healer was standing there preforming some spells. WHen the Healer saw Chris and Mathew he finished casting spells and than walked over to them both

"How did it go?" Mathew asked him.

"Everything went well. Unfortanatly she had cancer in more than one place but luckily we found it all and it's all gone. Now she just needs the spells and the right potions and she'll be back to normal" he said writing some stuff on a clipboard. Mathew sighed relieved to hear good news.

Chris had a big smile painted across his face. She was alright everything was fine.

"I'll be back later to see how she's doing" the Healer said than left the room. Mathew walked over and took the seat that he had sat in before Oddie left for sugery.

"I hope she wakes soon and tells us what happened" MAthew said.

Chris sat down in the seat beside Oddie's bed that he had sat in before, "Yeah I hope she wakes soon too." CHris said.

Mathew sat ther quite, tapping his foot.

"THat's getting annoying" Oddie said and opened her eyes.

"Did you ahve a nice sleep?" MAthew asked her

"YEa until your tapping woke me" Oddie smiled.

Chris smiled, "How do you feel?" Chris asked.

"A little weak and hungry but other than that I'm fine" Oddie replied.

"I'll get you some food" Mathew offered.

"No i can't eat anything for awhile" Oddie said. "They already went over all this medical stuff. I'll be fine." She than turned to Chris and said "Thank you so much for being here. I appericiate it. You know you didn't have to."[/color]

"I know but I wanted to. You are my best friend and my last friend that is still alive." Chris said, "My wife and daughter will be here in a little bit to meet you if you feel up to it."

Oddie smiled and seconds later the Healer walked back in with a potion in hand.

"Oddie I will have to ask you to drink this" the Healer said holding the potion out for her to take. Oddie took the potion and drained it in two gulps. She shivered and handed back the empty container. "I agree it does taste gross" the Healer laughed. "I'll be back in an hour to see how things are going but judging by your progress so far you'll be out of here in three or four days"

Chris smiled, "Good." Chris said.

"Hello, is this Oddie Riddle's room?" A soft voice asked from the door.

Chris turned to see the long-haired brunnette at the door holding a girl with short black hair.
"Hey, Elizabeth. Oddie I would like to introduce you to my wife Elizabeth and my daughter Jessica."

The Healer left as more poeple walked into the room. Oddie looked up to see two people she had never seen before.

"Hello" Oddie said. "Elizabeth and Jessica"

"Hello." Elizabeth said, "Say hi Jess."

"Hi." she said in her squeaky(sp?) voice.

Elizabeth and Jessica walked over to Chris. They both kissed him on the cheek.
"It's so nice to finally meet you Oddie. Chris was always talking about you. Don't worry it was all good things though." Elizabeth laughed.

Oddie smiled. "It's so nice of you to come. During my visit here Chris has said a little about you both. He probably would of spoke more about you guys if I wasn't sleeping half of the time"

Chris smiled, "Well that's true. I do love my wife and daughter. They're my whole world." He said. Elizabeth smiled and blushed a veyr bright red.

Jessica she lifted up her hand and five fingers were up. She was smiling the biggest smile in the world, she loved attention.

"You're five already" Oddie said. "You're like a little grown up already. Are you tired of standing?" Oddie asked her. "If you want you can sit on the bed."

"Yes..yes." Jessica said, "Can I Daddy, please!"

"I guess so." Chris said. He picked up his little girl and put her up on the bed with Oddie, "Don't jump on her now." Chris told Jess.

Jessica giggle when she climbed op to Oddie's face.

"Well she can get rough when she plays and you just had surgery. I don't want anything bad to happen to you, you're not all the way healed yet."

"It'll be fine." Oddie said. "If anything happens I'm in a hospital so they'll get to me right away"

Jessica nodded her head with a big smile on her face, "Yes...yes" She said. Chris gave up knowing that he would end up losing this battle.

"Ok." Chris said. He sat down on the chair and his wife joined him.

"So, Oddie. What do you do for a living?" Elizabeth asked.

"I teach up at Hogwarts" Oddie said. "I'm teaching Care of Magical Creatures but it doesn't seem like a popular class. There isn't many students there. How about you?"

"Well now I work at the Ministry in Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. I just got the job, I used to stay home with Jessica but now I leave her with my father while I work." Elizabeth said.

"Really?" Oddie asjked her. "That's has got to be a lot of fun. What kind o creatures do you have to deal with a lot?"

"We deal with a lot of creatures really, you wouldn't think it but there are lot of people smuggling in dragons." Elizabeth said.

"Umm.." Oddie said. "Why would they be smuggling in dragons? Oh wait you don't need to answer that. I'm sure you don't want me to keep askign you questions about our job."

"Yeah, I can't tell much." Elizabeth said, "Some people want dragons as pets though but a lot of others wants to use them for evil reasons that I shouldn't disguss."

"Yes,yes" Jessica said, her face all of a sudden lightened up. She turned and looked at Chris and Elizabeth.

"I guess you can go." Chris said.

Oddie chuckled and said to Mathew "Go and take her somewhere fun." Mathew nodded and walked over to where Jessica was at sitting on the bed and said "Well Jessica wher edo ya wanna go?"

"Well than let's go wander about until we find something interesting" Mathew said smiling. Mathew picked her up off fo the ground and gently placed her on the ground. He than held out her hand for her to take and said "Let's go!"

Mathew lead her out of the room and into the hallways. There were people standing all over the place talking to Healers or other family members. Looking around Mathew found someone had a cat. He thought it was wierd and he walked over to them, taking Jessica with him. "Look at the cat Jessica" Mathew said pointing.

"Hey this is my husband you're talking about" the women saisd holding the cat.

Meanwhile Oddie was in the room with Elizabeth and Chris. "You have such a cute little girl" Oddie said to them both

Jessica laughed at the mistake Matthew had made.

Mathew turned away from the women and ehr cat husband saying to Jessica "I was going to see if you could play with the cat but I'd better not ask now"

"I remeber when Mathew was that age. He was a handful, well he still is at times" Oddie chuckled

"Oh yes, she is a hand full sometimes." Elizabeth said.

"Yeah, I remember Matthew back then. It's been forever." Chris said.
