Oddie: Endings sooner than expected

Chris looked at the Healer, "Ok." He said.

"I'll be back before your surgery as well." Chris said.

Chris walked out the door giving Oddie a smile and a wave. He closed the door behind him.

"Well I better get home to Elizabeth and Jessica." He said. He hadn't seen his wife and daughter all day.

Chris waved at Matthew, "It was no problem." Chris said, "I would have never left my best friend laying there. Well I guess I'll see ya tomorrow. Bye"

He turned on his heal and he was gone.

Chris was at home now. His daughter was already in bed. He quickly explained what had happened to his wife and then went to bed. He needed his rest if he was going to get to the Hospital on time tomorrow.

CHris jumped out of bed when he woke up. He quickly showered, he got something to eat and apperated after kissing his wife goodbye.

Chris appeared in St. Mungos' lobby. He quickly walked to Oddie's room. He walked in and saw Matthew sitting beside Oddie's bed, she was still asleep.

"Yeah, I hope so I would like to talk to her too." Chris said as he watched Oddie sleep.

Chris smiled, "I just got here." Chris said.

"Oh no, they don't need me." Chris lied he wasn't going to do any work whle his friend was going in for surgery, "Oh, you can meet my wife and daughter soon after your surgery they might be coming up here a little bit after you have the surgery."

"Oh they're the best." Chris said, "I can't wait till you meet them. My wife is Elizabeth and my daughter is Jessica."

When Chris heard the knock on the door a sharp pain hit him, his best friend was about to go get some risky surgery thing. "Good luck, Od."

Chris smiled, "I'm sure of it." CHris said, he still couldn't help to worry what else could he do?

Chris watched as the Healer came in and asked Matthew about the money. Now he was all alone to worry by himself.

"Sure." Chris said. It had been a miserable half-hour by himself. He couldn't think straight. He was up walking all over the place, sitting down, and worrying like crazy.
"Coffee would be nice right now."

"I think I remember." CHris said, "It's been a long long time since I've been here. Not since Zelda was alive. I think it's up stairs somewhere." He walked out the door and too the stairs.
"Well we can look around until we find it anyway."

"That's true." Chris said. He started to walk up the stairs looking for signs to tell them where to go.

It tooks a while but they finally made it to the caffeteria. Chris walked over to the stand with the coffee and quickly poured him a cup and loaded it with sugar.

"Yes it is." Chris said taking a sip of his coffee, "It's been a while since I've had coffee. Not since before I went off to Albania."

"Yes, it was great there. I had to go there for my job. I'm an auror and I had tracked a dark wizard there. After I had caught the dark wizard I decided to move there. It's a beautiful place. That's where I met my wife and where my daughter was born." Chris said, "It's a very nice place though."

"Yes, I've been an auror for a long time. I have killed many Dark Wizards but I try not to kill them, unless they give me a reason. I prefer to send them off to Azkaban, I don't like the filling that comes with killing a person. The training was very hard, but it has to be because the Ministry only needs the best. It is very hard to track Dark Wizards. It takes special skill and powerful magic." Chris explained.

"Yeah it can be fun." Chris said, "But it's a hard and risky profession. So what do you plan going into for a career."

"I'm sure you'll do fine on the N.E.W.T.s if you study. You would do great at being an auror. But I doubt your mother would dare let you go off and do something like that. She loves you very much."

"Well that's not a bad job." Chris said, "There are lots of things to do at the bank."

"Yeah, and if that doesn't work there are many other things to do in the Wizarding World."

Chris smiled, "Well I guess that's true, but it depends on how you look at it."
