Broken Glass (Erika + Steph)

"Don't apologize." she said impressing her into his muscles.
"I mean everyone get events like this in their life were fate takes over and your thinking what the heck am I doing or going to do but your guided to continue on. It was one of those moments and once everything is done with you feel sad unable to control your feelings any more but that doesn't mean you have to apologize because in most cases you have already been forgiven." he said digging hi head into her long blond hair.
"I hate it when you’re right I do watch too many soap operas." he giggled slightly.
"Why don't I take you to get some retail therapy at your favorite book store?" he asked pulling her off a little looking into her deep eyes full of confusion.

"Exactly!" he stated happy that her eyes lit up with the help of the sun he could see she needed a little attention right now.
"Ok miss why you don’t lead the way." he said placing his hand out for her to go ahead.
"Maybe while we are at it you could pick out a ring as well as all that stuff." he explained. Zane pulled out his keys and handed them to Jona.
"Not really magical transportation but I prefer a truck more than a broom any day and it's easier to Carrie stuff with though there probably is a spell for that oh well I’m not good at magic surprised I haven’t got kicked out yet to be honest. Oh sorry rambling again." he apologized helping himself off the ground.

"Yes you can drive if I break this one I get a brand new one." he said with a smile walking over to her.
"This one was my.... My brothers." he coughed out.
"Any way it’s kind of a wreck and it would be nice to get another one but I doubt you will get in a wreck I mean what are the chances plus we are in the wizard world kind of not many drive out here so there wouldn't be anything to run into... You will be fine." he said positive that she could drive the truck it wasn't that complicated you hit two pedals and dodge cars pretty easy.
"Plus I will be there so I can help you if you get confused or anything, you’re going to have to learn how to do this at sometime right?" he asked with a bright smile.

"Ya but if I didn't drive a car I would have no time to listen to those road trip C.Ds." he joked with a smile every had asked him that question but he hardly cared this truck had been in his families for generations and he wasn't going to be the one not to drive it.
"That and well I can't apperate... or ride a broom for that fact... It's a bit embarrassing but I missed my first year here so second year everyone already knew how to and I wasn't going to take a class with first years so I never learned. As for apperating I just don't like it enough to learn It." he explained with smile that said wow I can't believe I told a hot chick an embarrassing thing about me.

"I'm not joking." he said in an odd accent and then started chuckling.
"Get in the car you bouncy lemur." he said opening the door for her and then opening his door sitting on the passenger’s side of the car. He buckled in.
"I might need more seat belts." he joked pretending to be terrified of her driving.
"There is only one thing to remember left pedal is the brake and don't be afraid to use It." he said waiting for her response. He pulled out an old C.D his younger sister had made him for his birthday.
"Travel tunes?" he asked shoving the C.D into the player.
"My sister made it I never listened to it before so be prepared for Barbie’s theme songs or maybe Barnie I don't know what torture that little demon can come up with. Zane held his breath as he pushed play and a rock song came on.
“Huh guess nothing evil so far.” He stated with a smile.

"Really well one day I will take you home and you can meet her she is a menace." Zane explained exaggerating the word menace.
"Ya." he said taking a deep sigh.
"Any way take the key with the purple sparkles on it and put it into the slight there and turn once." he said taking her hand and leading it to the ignition.
"My sis likes sparkles." he explained looking into Jonas Golden eyes that captivated him.
"Now turn once." he repeated turning her hand. This started the car with a loud roar.
"Yep this is my baby!" Zane said tapping the dash board twice. He leaned over Jona and re shut the door.
"Just making sure." he said returning back to his upright position and did the same thing with his door.
"Lets rock and roll." He finished putting sunglasses on.

"It's playing." Zane said chuckling she had asked for music when there was clearly music happening now.
"But if you prefer something else I have country hip hop or rock and roll." He said thumbing through his c.ds.
"And then there is always my I pod but I doubt you want to listen to that I have 80 gigabytes that allot of random music I’m sure there is something that would pop up that embarrassing. Have you ever even tried to drive before?" he asked guiding her hand slightly as the wheal would tilt when not needed.
"Because you are doing very well for the first time." he said with a warm smile that Jona loved.

"Ok good not ever person with magic uses it for everything." He said referring to her being able to drive.
"Yes magic is quicker but sometimes it's nice to drive you get to see all those little things that you miss when all your concerned about is getting there fast." Zane tried to explain but some people didn't agree it made him wonder if she disagreed or not.
"Stop what?" he asked very confused this time he had done nothing.
"You want me to stop being so good looking because that’s going to be hard for me to do." Zane added on with a slight smile. He looked over at her expression something was still bothering her something she had not even brought up yet. He grabbed the wheel and pulled the car over to the side taking the keys out of the ignition.
"Talk to me." He said putting the keys in his back pocket so she couldn't reach them.
"Why are you always looking like you are sad. Even when something great just happened or you got over something you always look like the world is out to get you. Tell me what’s the issue I don't want you to feel like this anymore." Zane said grabbing her hand even though she would not want him to touch her after he had brought this up.

"I was listening only because I was concerned... I don't trust him and I especially don't trust him alone with you." He said not embarrassed it was the truth and he wasn't afraid to admit it.
"I heard everything well most of it I kept fighting with Stephaine and then we crashed through the wall and ya so I missed a couple chunks of the conversation but I herd most of it." Zane explained without emotion. He kissed her hand.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have listened but...Ya." He added on looking around.
"That doesn't answer my question though. What is always bothering you it's not just several different things over time making you sad there is something hanging over your head what is it?" He asked again though she most likely wouldn't answer because she would be annoyed with the whole listening thing.

"Ok well if he broke your heart then why you still want him. Why are you still annoyed and jealous that he is getting married?" Zane asked he was annoyed and aggravated he broke her heart he didn't want her why was she still dwelling over him.

(Twilight moment one broke her heart vampire vs. werewolf lol.)

"Jona you are the greatest person and the prettiest and the smartest girl so you don’t need to worry about getting married I realize as everyone around you falls in love your thinking when will it happen to me but maybe if you open your eyes what you’re looking for is right in front of you." He said cupping her face in his hands. Zane took a strand of her hair and pushed it behind her ear then put his hand back against her cheek the temperature difference was astounding and it sent chills up his spine only they were good chills.

Zane watched her expressions change and think as each word he said. The she fell onto him grasping him with her arms. He did the same his toned arms wrapped around her frail little body. He was afraid he would crush her though he knew he wouldn't. Zane pecked her on the cheek whispering "its alright." not sure why but he did because it fit the moment.
"Jona." he stated but did not move from his position.
"Explain to me. Explain to me how you feel what you’re thinking I can only guess explain this all to me." he instructed hoping to get her to talk more you can only get so far before people shut down and don't talk any more. Zane unbuckled Jona grabbing her leg and pulling her over to his half of the front of the car.

Zane bit his lip he was frozen he didn't know what to do. He looked down at her eyes holding her shoulders but almost as if he was pushing her away from him.
"Jona I have two questions the least you can give me is an answer to both." he said taking a deep breath.
"Jona do you still love demetri?" he asked knowing it was true though she loved him still and the thought of this crushed his heart he could no longer bear the idea that Jona still had feelings for that shallow blood sucker.
"And my second question is do you love me and if you are going to say yes like a brother you might as well just say no." Zane explained having gone through that way to many times before.

"Thank you that all I wanted to know." he said with a slight smile.
"But you didn't answer my first question do you love demetri yes or no. None of the well I used to but now I am not sure bull crap just tell me if you love him?" Zane asked again determined to get her to answer he had an idea if they ever got to the mall but he wasn't sure if they would make it there. That and his truck could break down at any minute and with the weight of a stone cold vampire probably didn't help the engine. This of course was not what he was worried about he was worried that she still loved her pass lover and he didn't want to have to deal with the baby mama love triangle going on with this spring fling between the two.

Just then something hit the car almost tipping it over. Zane looked out the window.
"Get out of the car!" he stated pushing her out of the seat and out of the car he followed after her.
"Run!" he commanded grabbing Jona by her wrist and dragging her behind him as they entered a forest with rough terrain. He paused looking around. He sniffed the air and looked around.
"We should be safe for a bit but we have to keep are voices low." he told her removing his hand from her wrist.
"Sorry about that it's just... unsettled business." he stated biting his lip hoping they were in a safe place and that he wouldn't have to bring Jona into all of this.
this probably can't get any worse. Just as he thought that it started raining his hair was instantly soaked and he shook his head like a dog.

Zane ran his fingers through his hair.
"It's complicated Jona I don't want to get you involved in it..." he thought thinking how to get her away safely.
"Listen to me." he said forcefully even though it was a whisper.
"I need you to go to Alice’s house you have to run as fast as you can and take the fastest route. Once your there lock all the doors and relaxed within a day I should be there ok?" he asked her grabbing her forearms.
"After that everything should be dealt with...Alice will know what’s going on... when did you last hunt?" he asked starring into her eyes he didn't want to lock her up if she was hungry. He slid a key into her hand.
"Go now." he demanded hoping she didn't stop and question.

It was nonsense, ""I need you to go to Alice’s house you have to run as fast as you can and take the fastest route. Once your there lock all the doors and relaxed within a day I should be there ok?" Ridiculous, the vampire thought. Jona grew very serious now, her expression was hard and her gaze was a icy but passionate behind her cold yellow eyes. With her brows together as if in serious thought she said sternly, "I'm not leaving you Zane." Grabbing his hand.
"I won't. Whatever mess you have gotten yourself into... I'm involved. Automatically, because I'm your girlfriend and I love you and..." She said rambling (rare..). Not thinking through anything she said.

"Jona you don't want to be involved in this!" he said harshly but still keeping his voice low.
"it's not your place I will be fine but if you ever want to see me again you have to go there very serious about there business." he said hoping he didn't say enough to make her serious because she would only be more stubborn when he realized what she said.
"because I'm your girlfriend and I love you." she had told him and he froze in mid thought finding himself wanting to either clarify to make sure he wasn't hearing things or to stammer because he couldn't think about what to say.
"I love you to but if you love me you will go." he insisted kissing her on the forehead and then looked around hearing voices and leaves rattling around.

Zane looked at her and shook his head if she wasn't so stubborn everything would have worked out. He pulled out his wand and placed and invisibility charm around her.
"Stay hidden that won’t last forever." he told her as a figure appeared out of the trees. he was a white male with gray hair and somewhat of a beer gut had a look on his face that said 'I don't need to be fit to kill you.' he had a smug arrogance about his presence and as he came forward so did the rest of his lackeys who all looked more like clones then anything only two scrawny boys looking at their shoes stood out in the crowd.
"Zane there you are did your car break down?" he hissed his voice piercing and cold. Zane watched the young boys and wanted to gasp in shock could it really be?
"Ya something like that." he muttered under his breath. The man took another step forward and the rest stood back knowing this was his kill not theirs.
"Who was that pretty girl of yours you know she would settle things."
"There was no girl you know me I’m not smooth to get a girl let alone a pretty one go get your glasses checked old man." Zane stated not afraid of the guy. The man shook his head and sent a spell towards him and Zane crumpled to the floor.
"Now what was that?" he asked standing above him as Zane held his side.
"I said OLD MAN!" he stated through gritted teeth. The man put his wand under Zane’s chin and spoke quietly but just as hard as before.
"You have three options the girl what I came for or join." he hissed and Zane spit in his face.
"Never!" he screamed out of pain or anger who could tell.

Zane watched as the spell begun to wear off and she became visible.
"Ah we have someone willing to fulfill his debt do we?" the man asked and Zane cursed under his breath. The man walked up to Jona taking her harshly by the forearm having a tight grip on her as he placed his finger under her chin.
"What a pretty little addition to my collection you will make." he stated with a wicked smile dragging her along.
"No she doesn't need to be in this let her go!" he screamed standing up and starting to sprint after the man and as soon as he did that the man spun around and hit him with another spell and Zane headed towards the ground face first.
"Get him it seems I get two chess pieces today." he stated turning around as the two kids picked Zane up by the elbows. He struggled but couldn't break free he made a grunt out of pain.
"Shut up!" one shouted and shot another spell at him he barely could move after that direct hit.
"Let her go and I will go peacefully!" he shouted at the main man.
"I said shut up!" and one more spell was casted in his direction he whimpered like a small broken puppy unable to fend for himself.

" that wasn't part of the deal darling and no we won't hurt you we like to keep are girls in good shape... he however needs to be broken to follow the rules, but don't worry about him you sold your soul your mine now." he stated as they walked towards the end of the forest.
"Let her go!" he said with as much strength as he could muster.
"You just don't learn do you when I say shut up you shut up!" and Zane took one more blow to the chest and threw up unable to control the pain before they reached the car.
"Trunk boss?" the boys asked simultaneously.
"Na put him in the back seat. All the men oohed like when someone got called down to the principal’s office at school but very softly before shoving both Zane and Jona in the back along with three other cronies so one was on each side of them. The others crammed in the middle and only the main man sat in the front and started to drive. Zane bit his tongue to refrain from making any sounds.
"Good boy" one of the guys comment but Zane just stayed still.
I told her to run and she didn't run I should have made her go she would have been safe if she ran then she wouldn't be in this mess. It will be over soon just think there has to be a way out but I can't tell her anything one more hit and I will pass out then who knows what would happen. he thought looking around the car the only door that didn't have a child safety lock on it was the driver’s seat so until they were let out they were trapped in this car.
If only she was safe if only I could talk if only I never did this dumb idea in the first place. he continued to think to himself beating himself up over the whole incident.

They laughed at the Jona she was so stupid in their eyes unaware of what would happen unaware of what’s going on it was all rather funny to see her make a threat when there was nothing she could do.
"Listen little girl you have a lot to worry about on your plate don't start worry about him it ruins all the fun." one of them stated the two words that would throw Alice of her hinges the two words that would make Stephaine kill them just to spite there word choice.
"Come on puppy speak... I dare you." the lackey on Zane's right stated. Zane bit his lip hard to restrain from throwing back anything and cuss words at that. The man spit in his face and Zane tensed but refused to react for Jonas sake. The man smirked.
"Good boy." he stated with a cackle. Zane leaned forward to get a look at Jona but he was slammed hard back into the seat his head hitting the back dash. He looked around trying to figure out how to get Jona out safely but couldn't come up with anything.
He risked two words and hoped Jona got what he meant "soap opera" he mustered but was punched hard in his face breaking it as blood streamed down his face.

Zane smirked he had risked his safety and she didn't even understand what he was trying to say. He wanted to elaborate say more but once his mouth opened his wrist was grabbed pulled backwards.
"Want to say anything lover boy?" the man asked tugging on his arm more. He shook his head no and his arm was released as the other two were hanging onto the angry vampire in the corner. The car stopped in front of an old house the street was nasty as rats ran across the sidewalk. The man walked out opening the door and taking Jona by her waist and dragging her into the house. The other men grabbed Zane bloody and bruised and literally pulled him into the house and threw him into a hard metal chair. The cronies lined up behind the man.
"Where should we take her?" they asked them man kissed her on the cheek.
“Take her to the tattoo parlor. “He stated as the men grabbed her hard so that they wouldn't lose her. Zane sat there drowsily he tried to get up to help Jona but couldn't muster it those spells really did some damage.
"Stay... good dog." the man said with a wicked smile.

Jona starred at the back of the seat, gazing inept, hopelessly as they held her. Listening quietly she could hear their sick cruel voices, Zane wasn't going to break, if he did their bidding and stayed quiet it was for her sake.
She would tire struggling, but if she had break free she knew exactly who she would go for. The car rolled to a stop. The door opened, and the man slid his hand behind her and picked her up by the waist. He carried her to the house, smirking as he set her down and held her next to him.
"Where should we take her?" They asked the man kissed her on the cheek, making some crude point that she was now his. As he did Jona shook away violently, not wanting to be touched.
He answered with a big grin; "Take her to the tattoo parlor" Jona's eyes grew wide. She wanted to protest but they wouldn't listen. They were going to brand her.

"Just let her go she will be too much of a handful anyway!" he pleaded trying to make it seem like a good thing for their side as well.
"Sorry it's not your choice she chose... what was it again... oh ya I believe she said take me. Am I right? You know this better than anyone once you’re in you don't get out." he said and Zane took a deep breath.
"I wasn't in not truly!" he protested.
"Really what does that scar on your right shoulder say then?" he asked and Zane rubbed it as if that would make it disappear.
"Why don't you show your girl there?" he asked but it was more of a commandment. Slowly Zane rolled up his sleeve to reveal a raised scar, it was a weird pinkish white color and it had the initials F.G spelled out. Zane put his sleeve back with a deep sigh.
"Don’t worry pretty one you just get some ink." he finished and the men pulled her into a white room with a single table in the middle. They pushed her down on it so that she was lying on her stomach. 4 of them held her down as two pulled up her shirt so her back was revealed leaving one last men to hold the ink.
"This may hurt a little bit sweetheart." the one with the ink said.

"Sorry Hun we have one version so we can tell whose you are... you get to match the rest of the girls." He put the needle to her skin and started to draw it was a heart that was slowly breaking. The initials F.G where around the left side of it and the word mine layed across the heart in case anyone forgot. The helped her up then the one guy slapped her but. the handed her a piece of paper a pile of clothes which looked more like strips of fabrics then clothes and tried to bring her into a room with a bunch of other girls most of them where blonde and they were all wherein short tops and skirts that framed there tramp stamp well.


Zane sat there waiting but for a while it was quiet.
"You do realize why you are here Zane?" he asked and Zane wouldn't look at him he couldn't believe he just let Jona go and be stuck in this forever.
"Because I owe you?" he guessed not really caring at this point they could do anything to him and it wouldn't be worse than how he felt right now.
"I have a job for you." he said and Zane stood up almost falling back over but he held his ground.
"I don't care about your little game I will do what you want but you don't claim my girl as yours." he growled.
"She was more than willing to be with me so maybe she was never yours.” he said and Zane lunged for his neck.

He rolled his eyes disappointed she refused to strip down.
"That paper has your new name on it you might want to know It." he stated closing the door and walking away. Girl went up to Jona.
"Oh what does yours say?" she asked grabbing the paper.
"Oh lucky I’m bunny you got a much better name." she stated with a bright smile.


The man shot a spell at him and Zane went flying.
"Do you need to go through training again?" he asked and Zane growled at him he hated this.
"Where is Jona?" he asked angrily getting up again.
"None of your business I don't know why you are still worried about her she is in good hands." the man said patient with this trivial game. Zane started running going through hallway after hallway after room after room and couldn't find her.
"JONA!" he yelled the whole time until the man couldn't take it anymore and put him in a body bind and Zane fell to the floor.
"I think you need to learn a few things again." he said out of nowhere a few of his men picked him up and threw him in an empty room. He thrashed through the room trying to break the door but was having no luck. he sat down trying to figure out how to save Jona even though now she was involved they would hunt her down just like him.

Bunny looked hurt.
"What’s wrong with me getting a new name coming here was the best thing in my life he saved me he saved most of us here from a horrible path and what does he get instead to right his name on are back and a slap on the but it's worth it if you ask me." she said when another girl came and put a hand on her shoulder.
"She isn't from the street Hun she doesn't get It." the girl stated and they both turned around and started talking with others.

"Let Jona go! Just let her go!" Zane screamed at the empty room.
"I know you can hear me!" he continued punching the wall in frustration breaking his hand.
"Let’s make a deal." the man’s voice came into the room.
"What’s your price?" Zane asked though it looked like he was talking to himself.
"You do what I want when I want whatever it is and in return I let her go." the voice stated.
"You let Jona go when I agree and forever she will never have to be a part of this world you will never see her again or utter a single word to her and the tattoo goes." he specified.
"The tattoo stays." why the man was concerned about the tattoo was beyond him but he made the deal.
"Fine." he stated and then nothing he was hoping that the man went to let Jona free.
