Round 9 - Flower Attack

Welcome to the nine round of Best Icon Maker Standing! As with all of the rounds in this competition, you are making only one icon, using the images provided below (pick one).

Rules:
-Create an icon using ONLY the image provided. Add no other images.
-You may add your own text, textures, colouring, brushes or patterns.
-Be as creative as possible.
-Icon must be 100x100 in size (including any borders!)
-Animation (optional).

You have one month to send your icons to me by PM. Please upload them to an image host which will not identify you, such as imageshack, tinypic or servimg (not photobucket).

Let's vote for the first round of the Best Icon Maker Standing. Please read how the voting works:

-In the following post, I will create a table with all the submitted icons.

-You then need to name three icons in your post: you must give two icons a positive vote, and one icon a negative vote.
You should also give a reason why - commenting on an aspect of the icon
you liked (for the positive votes) and what you felt could be better
(for the negative vote). This is to help icon makers in further rounds.

participants and non-participants can vote. Non-participants get 50

Pos: #6 - I love the textures and coloring, they look fantastic and add a lot to the photo. And I love the little sunbursty in the corner. Very cool looking icon!

Pos: #7 - I like the coloring and the font used as well as how it's a bit dulled compared to the original.

Neg: #3 - To be honest, I just don't know like how it was cropped. It could be really cool but I'm not sure there's really enough of the flower to be able to tell what it is...

Positive: Icon 1 - It's simple but beautiful and I love it.
Positive: Icon 2 - It's amazing, beautiful and lovely.

Negative: Icon 6 - I'm not at all a fan of the texture. I feel like it takes away from the flower instead of showing it's beauty.

Pos: #1. Simple but effective. The quality of the image looks good, the little burn in the cornerd is good. Love it.
Pos: #2 Simple again, turning the flower into purple.Nice!

Neg: #4 Comparing with icon 1, we can see something went wrong with the quality of the image... not a fan of the font and placement xD

Positive # 6: I really like the texture, it looks all rainbow-y. And I really like the faded antiqueness of it, it's really lovely.

Positive # 7: I really like the coloring, and the dullness. The font needs to be bigger, but it is very pretty.

Negative # 3: It's nicely cropped, but the coloring is boring, and I don't like the border.

Positive # 2: I love the colors. It's just cute and amazing.
Positive # 6: I love the letter thingy at the side xD and how the colors blend in the pic.
Negative #3: I just hate how it is cropped

Positive #2: I just really like the way the green and purple contrast.

Positive #6: It's a bit different then the rest. I like different. I like different alot.

Negative #3: Didn't showcase the flower very much...

Positive Vote: Icon 1, because the image is crisp, the resizing is superb, and the colors really pop. On a side note, I do suggest removing the glow dot things on the top right and perhaps a slightly different crop. Otherwise great job!

Positive Vote: Icon 4, because coloring is fantastic, the crop is wonderful, I like the flip, and you did a good job resizing. My critique would be that the font choice was not very good (try looking at some on dafont.com if you need more options)

Negative Vote: Icon 3, because the coloring was weird and it didn't do a good job featuring the flower.

As you can see, the table presents how many positive and negative votes you had, the total votes which is the positive votes minus the negatives votes and it's the number that will be used to the overall standings and to find the winner at the end of the tournament.

There's a column for the housepoints you won in this round, the total of points is made of participating points, voting points and votes points (25 points per total votes column).
