I'm reading a parody of the GoF film called "Goblet of Fire in Fifteen Minutes". It's absolutely hilarious. I can't put the link here because it's got a high-ish rating, but if you want to read it you can PM me and I'll give you the link.

I think the author has done PS and PoA too.

Ooh I just picked up Sanctuary and Missing You by Meg Cabot so I'll be reading them tonight...or maybe I should read them now! XD

EDIT: ohh amy I read the GoF in fifteen minutes, but then I found the PoA in 15 mins and it was even FUNNIER ^^

I'm reading "Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married" by Marian Keyes - the last one of hers I've got to read.

I liked the Mi15M so much I went and found the book, so I've got that to read afterwards.

I'm reading another Romanian play.. it's called "Titanic Waltz" (well, translated) and is sooo funny! XD

OK, so I read three books this weekend. First, 'refugees' by Catherine Stine. This was a very interesting story, told from two different perspectives in alternating chapters. One is about a teenage orphaned girl who runs away to New York City, and is there on Sept. 11. The other is an Afghani boy who doesn't want to fight with the Taliban and ends up running to a refugee camp with his baby cousin. Eventually the two connect through emails and phone calls and help each other cope with their problems. Lots of stories have been written about Sept. 11, and I thought this one was very fresh and different.

Then I read two more books by Marcus Zusak. 'Fighting Ruben Wolfe' is basically about two brothers and how they box to prove that they're worth something. It's well-written and good, but not outstanding.

'Getting the Girl' is kind of the sequel to 'Fighting Ruben Wolfe' although you do not need to read the first to understand the second. 'Getting the Girl' is just plain AWESOME. It is extremely intense, very sensitive and emotional. It is at times very painful, at others joyful and there are the odd bits of wisdom scattered throughout. It's also written very well and different, in sort of the same style as 'The Book Thief'.

It's basically about the bond brothers share, but I dunno. It's so much MORE than that. Ruben is the older one who has a new girlfriend every few weeks, and he loves none of them. Cam is the younger one, who has never had a girlfriend, but is prepared to love one completely...this book is also about proving that they're worth something, and they're not just a bunch of losers. Another book I highly recommend.

actally im re reading all the Harry Potter books again im on POA =]

I'm onto re-reading books now, cos I've run out of new books.

At the moment, it's The California Club by Belinda Jones. I remember it being quite a good read from the last time I read it - but it's more of a beach book really.

Any recs from anyone?

Just finished 'The Queen's Soprano' by Carol Dines. This is about a girl--Angelica--with an exceptional singing voice, who lives in the 17th century I think, when the Pope has banned women from singing, except in prayer in abbeys...based on true events, this was very interesting and kinda sad...hopeful and sad at the same time. Blah I'm dying to write a huge spoiler here that about a character that was a tremendous disappointment to me...but I won't. XD

I'm now reading "Everyone Worth Knowing" by Lauren Weisberger. She's the woman who wrote The Devil Wears Prada, and I bought the book because it has a cool cover :D

I'm only 2 chapters in so far, but it's good.

im reading HPGOF for the 15th time....... I have no life lol

lol! im on HPGOF now i thought everyone would be re-reading all the harry potter books seems as its not that long till the 7th book

I FINALLY read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and it was much better than I thought it would be; I am an idiot for not having read it earlier. I really want to read the second one now and I have the third right here and I'm trying my hardest not to take sneak peeks.

I read a bunch more books but I'll need to check up the authors' names so I'll be back later I guess. Ohh and I have 'Startled by his Furry Shorts' which is bound to be a good read as well.

I've just finished reading "The Tenderness of Wolves" by Stef Penney. I've opened a thread for it with a lot more detail, but I'll say that it's very good and well-worth a read.

I'm now reading Anne of Green Gables on Marie's recommendation.

I've started "Perfume" by Patrick Sueskind .. I've only read the first chapter last night but I think I'll like it .. I'll update on it when I finish :D

I'm now reading Earthsearch by James Follett. It's the book he wrote following the success of the radio series by the same name and tells the story. It's great!

Before that, I read The Mennyms and The Mennyms in the Wilderness by Sylvia Waugh. A trip back to my childhood! These are a great series of books about rag dolls who live like humans.

I just got the book archy and mehitabel... I have to read it for school over the summer. I'll let you all know what I think about it when I start reading

i started Wuthering Heights but i'm not really getting in to it...may try again later.

I'm now reading a book called "The Tale of Two Sisters" and it's by Anna Maxted.

The 4th sisterhood of the traveling pants book, a very cheesy and utterly wonderful chick-lit titled Spanish Holiday, I think (escapism is such bliss, especially in the form of chick-lit) and I'm rereading Twilight.

I also bought the Kite Runner, which I'll read sometime during the week. XD

The fourth sisterhood book is out???

And er...so this stays on topic, I'm not actually reading anything at the moment. Waiting for my new Georgia book to arrive, plus the books I ordered off ebay the other day :D

Well I took the Kite Runner into the pool today but I ended up being too lazy to hold up the book... :D I'm gonna read it soon.

Meanwhile I've been reading the Junie B. Jones books. I don't care that they're geared for 8 year olds and my sister of that age currently loves them. They are soo adorable. Though I finish one in about twenty minutes. ^^

Have I ever mentioned I'm a Jane Austen freak? XD .. well... I'm reading "Persuasion" right now, by tadaaa... guess who?! XD And as far as I've counted right, it's the last of her books.. then I can start re-reading them XD

ps: and I'm reading mangas in the meantime XD - my last ones were volume 1 of "Great Teacher Onizuka", volume 2 of "Princess Ai" and volume 8 of "Naruto" :D

just finished "Persuasion" yesterday (yes, staying at home when you're ill is indeed a good time to read XD) - and today I've started Anne Frank's Diary.

Oh, and I've also started reading a book on history of arts. Sort of a general guide, and very useful seen as I might need it for uni and have never ever had it at school. XD

I'm reading this Young Adult's Book called Un Lun Dun (UnLondon to pronounce it)

It's about these two girls who enter a town from London that's completely topsy turvy oppositeof London and it's really good so far. I like it. One of them is the "Chose One" that's all I'll give away.

Well after reading all my Harry Potter books I went out and got the mysteries behind Harry Potter becuase I have decided that up until the next book comes out the only thing I shall read book wise will be Harry Potter related.

Well I started reading the Kite Runner which was a bit of a disappointment because I was expecting it to be really really good, and while it IS, it just hasn't pulled me in yet. I mean, I put it down, and I haven't wanted to pick it up since...NOT a good sign. I'll read it sometime though, because I actually bought it so it's gonna be around. Also, I really want to like it. There's so much good stuff going on in there, and the characters and setting are so real...I dunno.

Anyway I've been doing a bit of comfort reading, so I reread Queen of Babble and All-American Girl by Meg Cabot, and now I'm rereading 'the truth about forever' by Sarah Dessen.

I love Meg Cabot ( her adult novels as I haven't read any of her YA fic)!

Okay I just finished Ann Rule's latest hardback- Too Late To Say Goodbye. Now I'm reading Arabat by Clive Barker and Hex and the Single Girl... I don't remember who it's by- its the book I keep to read in my car. I like Arabat, but I have started it 4 or 5 times, and then I get distracted. I really, really want Stephen Kings new Bachman book- Blaze, so I'll probably cave in and buy it tomorrow.

i am still redaing my Edge Chronicles book but i might stop sometime soon so that it doesnt interfer with me reading my new HP book that i will be getting soon. i just cant read two books at once.... ill get thingts mixed up and ill get confuse.... lol

I am reading Half Blood Prince in preparation for book seven, and the next book I am going to read will be Deathly Hallows itself!!!

I'm almost finished with Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian... very creepy! It's about Vampires and stuff :D

I read Second Helpings by Megan Mccafferty, which was every bit as good as Sloppy Firsts. *sigh* Whenever I read good books I always get a bit depressed because how can anyone write that well? More importantly, why can't *I* write that well yet? It bugs me for a short while before I go on to read the next book XD. And I have Charmed Thirds just sitting here...arrggh.

I wonder if I should re-read HBP...I'm not in the mood...maybe I'll skim through the ending to remember where all the main characters are.
