HEBB: The Kitchen

Dancing moved about the room. Grabbed a box of cookies and offered one to Streams. "Cookie?" She asked offering the box. "Don't worry they're not posioned" Seeing her slightly uneasy look.

::Jenn frowned at streamers jokingly.::

"I'm not going to poison the food! I'm your own housemember for goodness sake!" She sampled a bite of eggs to make sure it had enough salt. "Besides, my Potions case is upstairs in my closet with Seamus." She said casually.::

::Jenn may be immune to the particular poison she is using, streams reasoned, but she was really hungry, and decided she would risk eating Jenn's food, which smelled really good.::

"After all," she murmured, "they wouldn't kill me right after I arrive, now, would they?"

"That's not a good combo Seamus and Potions," Dancing laughed. "Why's Seamus trapped in your closet?"

"I knew it," streams muttered. "I knew there was a good reason for me to suspect Jenn of weird behavior..."

"Cause he messed up my Eeyores. Nobody's allowed to mess up my collection." Jenn said with a smile. Plating the eggs on a huge dish, she added parsley leaves for decoration. "Of course not streamers, everyone knows that the poisoning and threats are reserved for at least 3 weeks into the game." She said absentmindedly.::

::streamers resolves to spend time lurking around Jenn, since she seems to have inside information...::

Dancing laughed aloud, and leaned over the stove. she pulled out her favorite Mashmellows, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and white bread. "Have you guys ever had a 'Fluffer Nutter'?" She asked. Throwing the sandwich into the pan.

::streams watches cautiously, checking the labels on all the bottles in the cabinets meanwhile.::

::Lifey flicked her wand towards the stove.::

::the spoon began moving and moving, it looked like it would spill!::

::Lifey dashed over muttering the counter spell::


"Sorry jenn, nothing spilled though!" ::lifey smiled cheerfullyl:: ::Lifey eyed streams. Poor thing really WAS paranoid. Lifey wondered if she'd be able to sleep for fear of being killed.::

"I'll just stir it by hand

::streams carefully turned over everything on the shelves to check for booby traps, then proceeded to open everything and sniff it, and casted Detection spells which caused the food to glow momentarily.::

::Lifey removed the pan before it burned to a crisp::

"here you go jenn....i hope it's okay"

::streams kept her eyes trained on the pan, because she was really hungry and was anxious to make sure the food was safe for eating.::

::Lifey saw streams eyeing the pan::

"No sneak tastes until it's ready streams" ::Lifey laughed. it's what her mother had always told her as a little girl.::

"I wouldn't dream of it," streams said, laughing, while inwardly she thought :right, because I'm watching at least three people taste it before I do.::

"Thanks Lifey," Jenn replied. Glancing at streamers with concern, she handed her a plate.::

"Maybe you should get some while I get the muffins out of the oven." Jenn said softly with a smile.::

::Lifey smiled, and tasted it, just to make sure it wasn't burnt::

"don't worry jenn, it's not burnt"

::streams pretended to be looking in the other direction, but kept a sharp eye on lifey, waiting to see if she had a poisonous reaction.::

::Lifey handed the pot completely to jenn, glanced quickly at streams, then looked back and jenn, nodded and winked significantly.::

::Jenn noticed Lifey's wink and subtly pulled a jar out from under her sleeve and proceeded to sprinkle it onto the eggs.::

::Lifey glance quickly back to see if streams had noticed.::

::it didn't appear like it. THEY HAD MANAGED IT::

::Lifey smirked at jenn a little::

::streamers saw movement out of the corner of her eye and her mind began whizzing a mile a minute...what was going on?? surely she wouldn't be killed NOW...no, it was impossible...well, improbable...::

::Jenn scooped a big helping onto a plate and handed to to streamers.::

"Here you look hungry!" Jenn said as she also handed her a fork. "Try some! It's my own secret recipe!"

Seamus wandered into the kitchen to find the girls doing...who knew what. He spotten Jenn and walked up behind her, leaning in close to her ear from behind. "What ya doin'?!" He said in barely above a whisper, but in a very excited sort of way, smirking to himself.

::Lifey grinned::

"there probably won't be enough for me" she said clearly::

"I'll wait for another batch."

"um.." streams muttered, not wanting to be impolite:: "erm, I'm not as hungry as I thought I was..."

::Jenn jumped a mile and took a deep breath before turning around to face Seamus.::

"Don't sneak up on me like that!" She threatened at him as she waved her spacula at him. Ruining the threat by laughing, she waved a hand over the plates of food she prepared.::

"I made everyone breakfast. Have some!" She said cheerfully. "Except streamer's plate, I made those especially for her. Come on streamers, try some."

"um...I suppose..." streams looked doubtfully at her plate. "why did I get a different portion?"

"Ooh. Food." Seamus' eyes grew wide as he eyed the plates of food. "Ok, this makes up for locking me in the closet."

::Lifey glanced at jenn.::

"it's really good streams!"

"um okay...I suppose I should be honored that you made me a special portion..." ::letting her guard down for an instant, streams decides to risk trusting them just this once...this will be a trial to see if I can ever trust them again she decided.

::so she took a deep breath, dug in with her fork, took a medium-sized bite, and swallowed...::

::Jenn pouted a bit.::

"You don't want to try it? I made it from my mom's secret recipe for you since you were watching me cook the whole time. I figured you were hungry." Jenn said sadly.::

::Glancing over at Seamus, she grinned again. "It was only for an hour or so! So if I feed you again for dinner can I lock you in my closet again at night?" She said with a bright smile.::

::streams closed her eyes nervously. nothing appeared to be happening, so she took another bite...::

::Lifey broke out giggling::

"Do you like the secret spices jenn added?" ::She giggled again::

"I'm sorry for putting you through that, but it was kind of funny to do something 'secret and suspicious', but it was all very innocent"

::Jenn smiled also::

"Yeah sorry streamers," she said with a smile. "It's just some normal cajun spices from home. Gotta stick to my Louisiana roots you know!" Taking a bunch of plates out she added over her shoulder, "Although Louisiana's know for it's voodoo and spells too!"

"Oh my goodness I need a DRINK!!" streams yelled, and searched around for a sealed bottle of water since she didn't trust the tap water::

"and Jenn, besides for being really spicy, it is sort of good I suppose...thankyou" she mumbled.

::Lifey smiled and hoped this meant they were sort of friends::

"i love jenn's food. It' awesome.."

"yeah it was rather good," said streams, half-smiling genuinely for the first time. ::but meanwhile she was thinking, maybe they're just trying to build up my trust before they murder me!::

"Considering this is the first time you've eaten my food....thanks Lifey! You get a big helping of my fried noodies tonight!" Jenn said with a smile as she blushed a bit.::

"Yeah, great food Jenn." Seamus pushed his now empty plate away. "And no, you cannot lock me in your closet...people might get the wrong idea about us Jenn." He grinned mischievously. "We wouldn't want that."

::what does he mean? streams thought darkly. I already know he's mad...what with the snake and leprechauns and writing in the air I saw when I accidentally walked into that closet...

"Don't give yourself so much credit." Drake smirked as he walked into the kitchen, ruffling Seamus' hair. "Plus...everyone gets the wrong idea about YOU Seamus." He chuckled and sat down next to his brother. "Smelled the food all the way in the bedroom Jenn...smells great." He searched around for a fork and, being too lazy to actually get up, he took Seamus' and began to eat.

::Lifey nearly drooled at the thought of jenn's fried noodles::

"YUUMMY!" she cried happily>::

::Jenn blushed a bit and raised her eyebrow at Seamus.::

"I said lock you in my closet, it's not like you're in my bed. Only Charms and Padfoot get that." Jenn laughed as she rolled her eyes. Suddenly realizing sometime he said, she placed her hands on her hips. "And if they did think something? What's wrong with me?"

Smiling at Drake, she handed him a fresh muffin from the oven. "Ah the polite. nice O'Reily brother's finally arrived." She joked as she sat down.

::this kitchen is getting too full for me to be comfortable...I can't keep track of what everyone is doing, streams thought.

::so she edged away from the table and leaned casually against the wall right near the door, in case she needed to make a quick escape::

"Yes! I'm the nice one!" Drake threw his arms in the air and took the muffin from Jenn. "Ooh! Muffin! Thanks Jenn!" He munched into the muffin. "And there's nothing wrong with you Jenn...its all Seamus." He smirked, but gave a wink, chewing on his bite of muffin.

"why do people insist on throwing things?" streams muttered darkly to herself, but pasted a smile on her face.::

::Jenn laughed and hugged Drake. "I always knew liked you." She said with a grin. "I thought so, like anyone would ever imagine me with Seamus!" She shivered dramatically:: (lol)

::streams rolled her eyes. she hated mushy scenes. they were so fake...ugh.:: "aww so cute!" is what she said aloud.

::Lifey rolled her eyes as well.::

::wow ...a LOT was cooking in THIS kitchen::
