16th House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V SLYTHERIN: 7th-11th

(Reserve chaser)
((my god when did I become chaser... be nice people.. this is my first time))

Jess sat there on her broom waiting for the quaffle to be thrown in play again. And lundged for it when just that happened. She grabbed the quaffle swiftly from the air and yelled out to nancy then threw the ball to her.

(Slytherin Chaser)
((You're doing fine Jess!))

Jessie saw Jess throw the quaffle and lunged for it. "Nancy's on her hunnymoon! It's just us for now!" She shouted and shot off towards the ravenclaw goal posts. She saw a bludger heading her way from the right and quickly spirled downwards in order to avoid it. "That was close" She said. She looked up and saw she just underneath the goals. Smiling, she zoomed straight upwards and shot the quaffle into the left hoop. "Sssssscore!" She yelled triumphantly.

(Ravenclaw chaser)

::Lifey brought the palm of her hand down hard on her broom handle with a mutter of annoyance. They had scored again despite some of her teams good defence. They needed to bring on the offense and amp up the defence a LOT if they were going to win this game, or even have a chance. But she knew they had a chance. She trusted her team and knew that they would pull through with her. They were good. Very, very good, and they would win!::


::Lifey scrunched her nose and her eyes narrowed as she watched carefully as the quaffle was thrown into play.::

::She watched as Lily grabbed the quaffle. It was in Ravenclaw posistion and it was time to score big time.::

::Lifey saw the signal for Lily and knew what she had planned.::

::Pulling her broom into action, Lifey flew parallel to the goals and towards the middle of the pitch, heading straight for Lily.::

::Banking away ever so slightly the two blurs of blue sped past each other.::

::As they past Lifey recieved the quaffle in a sneaky hand off from Lily, and she tucked it safely under her arm.::


::Lifey turned her broom around and knew that some close broom work and skill would be involved to pull this off. Carefully Lifey wove back and forth around Lily, Lily doing the same, with each pass handing the quaffle back and forth.::

::Finally they reached the end of the pitch, and nothing stood between Lifey, who was in posession of the quaffle, and the slytherin goals except the keeper, but the keeper was so confused as to who had the quaffle that it was not difficult for Lifey to score through the left hoop while Lily feinted to the right hoop.::

::Score and ten more to Ravenclaw.::

"alright go ravenclaW!" ::Lifey yelled, pumping her fist in the air and turning towards the middle of the pitch where she met Lily with a high five.::

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy flew back onto the pitch. She flew over to Jess and Jessie and almost fell off her broom when they told her how the Ravenclaw team had completly dominated the game. Ravenclaw had scored more and Raisty's broom was hit hard by a bludger. "We are going to have to activate the reserves!" Nancy shouted to her team mates. "We don't have nearly enough players on the pitch and we are not going to stand a chance against Ravenclaw without more of our team here.

She looked up just then and saw that Lifey was flying fast and strong through the air and Nancy cringed as her friend had scored against Slytherin yet again.

Nancy repositioned herself on her broom and leaned forward to be able to pick up speed quickly. She watched as the Slytherin keeper tossed the quaffle twards her direction and she pulled her broom up and was able to snatch up the quaffle.

Nancy swung her broom around quickly and headed twards the Ravenclaw goalposts. She was carefully scanning the pitch for any bludgers that might be belted twards her by Jimmy. It was hard playing the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Not only were they well organized and quidditch extrodinaires but the members of their team were some of her best friends.

Nancy did her best to get as close to the ravenclaw side of the pitch as she could and yelled to Jessie and Jess, "Cover me and get ready."

(Commentater)

"AND SLYTHERIN IS ON THE PITCH!!! You heard it hear first people!!!" Etta shouted through the mic. "Now don't ask em the score because ive forgotten in all this excitement but my god we have an actual Slytherin team on the pitch! Were the rumours true or did the SLytherins simply find themselves oversleeping for such an important match? Your guess is as good as mine ... oh cherry coke, i'll have three bottles please, and you'd best give to each member of both teams they look thirsty ... No dont throw them .... silly boy...honestly you just cant get the staff these days! AND BACK TO THE GAME!"

(Slytherin Reserve Beater)

Raistlin saw the upcoming bludger in his direction he was about to dodge it when he saw jimmy below him and sending another bludger in his way I'll not have time to dodge both! he thought There's only one way JUMP!

Raistlin jumped from his brom and thanks to his robes his tunic was making him float in the air. Then when he landed safely on the ground he ran to slytherin's locker room and grabbed a reserve broom and ran again to the pitch from below he shouted

"You'll have to do better to knock me out of competition!"

Back in the field Raistlin decided it was time to play hard standing up in his broom he waited for a bludger that came in his direction while waiting he started to swing his stick to make a blower move as soon as the bludger hit the air cirlcle made by the sitck it went straight in the opposite direction where jimmy was, and this time he wasn't aiming for the broom but for his arm he'd realised he had two choices to stop the bludger with stick and let it be broken due to the bludgers speed and strenght or stop it with the other arm that'd be broken too but t least he'd have his stick arm intact to continue playing.

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy still had the quaffle in her possesion. She watched below her briefly as Raisty came running back onto the pitch with a new broom in hand. She had to smile. Her team was few yes, but the ones that were playing were not going to let anything stop them from trying to get ahead.

She set her eyes straight forward again and watched the Ravenclaw keeper like a hawk. She seemed a bit distracted at the moment so Nancy decided to make her move. She sped up just a bit more and started leaning to the right to steer her broom in that direction.

Nancy flew at an angle twards the right goal post to let the wind work with her to help push her along. She gripped her broom tightly between her legs and reached up with both hands clutching the quaffle and shot it through the hoop. "Wooohoooo!" She cheered and flew over to the middle of the pitch to see where the quaffle would be thrown to. She spotted Raistlin again and spoke to him. "I am holding off on my honeymoon to finish this game so let's try to win it, OK?"

(Slytherin Reserve beater)

"You're right snapey we won't die without a hell of a fight!"

He spoted the second bludger and hit it to Lifey who was hi5ing lily!

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy smiled wickedly at Raist, nodded her head and flew to the spot where the Ravenclaw keeper had thrown the quaffle. She shouted back to Raisty, "Slyther smash" She and he had a plan and was going to see how it would work.

Nancy flew twards the Ravenclaw goals with Raisty following close behind her. She tilted sideways on her broom and reached up and threw the quaffle behind her twards Raisty's bat. She spun around and watched his next move.

(Slytherin Beater)

Raistlin saw the quaffle being sent in his direction and hit it to the goalposts, following Snapey

"It's up to you now snapey"

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy saw that Raistlin had remembered the plan and she knew what to do next. She soared twards the quaffle and spun her broom around in a 180 degree angle and smacked the quaffle with the end of her broom hard sending it full speed into the Ravenclaw middle goal post.

She flew back over to Rausty. "Excellent work my evil Slytherin. Now get ready for faze two."

She spun her broom around and waited for the quaffle to be thrown back into play again.

(Ravenclaw chaser)

::Lifey was quick to recover the quaffle that was thrown back into play.::

::there was no way she was going to allow Slytherin to recover the quaffle again.::


::Diving to avoid a bludger from Rai (love you to grandpa! hmph!) Lifey found her self spiralling down the field in a drilling type motion.::

::Righting herself on the broom, Lifey transfered the quaffle from under her left arm to her right hand as she approached the Slytherin goals.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Seeing Lifey with the Quaffle, Elana zoomed towards the Slytherin goals. A Chaser and the Keeper were in the Ravenclaw Chaser's way, but not for long. Time to clear the pathway. Elana spotted a Bludger not too far away from Lifey and raced to it and whacked it at the Slytherin Chaser. Elana flew in an arc above Lifey to get to the other Bludger and hit that one at the Keeper. Should distract them for a while.::

"It's all yours, Lifey!" she called, giving her the thumbs up.::

(ravenclaw chaser)

::Lifey giggled and waved at the Slytherin Keeper who was knocked a good twenty feet away from the hoops.:::

"Thanks Elana!"

::She called before tossing the quaffle in the air and whacking it with the tail of her broom, sending it straight through the center hoop for another 10 to Ravenclaw.::

"oh yeah! go ravenclaw!" ::Lifey yelled, high fiving elana.::

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy watched as the Slytherin keeper was knocked backwards by Elana. That girl was one fierce quidditch player! She yelled to her keeper to get back into position and then dashed off after the now in play quaffle. She flew underneath the airborne quaffle and reached out her left and to grip it tightly in her quidditch gloves. She swung her broom around and flew twards the Ravenclaw goalposts. The wind was really picking up now but it was blowing in her favor.

As Nancy was flying a bludger came out of nowhere and hit her hard on the left hand causing her to drop the quaffle. She froze for a moment with the pain she was feeling. It brought tears to her eyes but she shrugged it off. She did a quick nose dive and grabbed the quaffle back up shortly before it hit the ground.

She repositioned herself back twards the middle of the pitch and again flew twards the Ravenclaw goalposts looking for another member of her team to assist her.

(Ravenclaw chaser)

::But before Nancy had a chance to find another chaser to assist her, Lifey had gained on her. The time lost in dropping the quaffle had hindered her progress, and now Lifey was ready to kick snake bottom. She signaled to Lily who nodded.::


::Flying on Nancy's left side, Lifey made a grab for the quaffle, then suddenly dropped below the chaser and moved to her right side using a sloth grip roll.::

::Lifey continued this, reach, drop,roll, recover, reach drop roll, recover, all the way down the field, not giving nancy the opportunity to escape.::

::Finaly, Lifey, on nancy's right side this time, reached for the quaffle, fiented a drop, and as Nancy moved the quaffle back to the right side out of reflex, built up from the repitition Lifey had built up, Lifey was able to quickly grab the quaffle, and switch directions before you could say quidditch.::

::this element of surprise gave her a stunning head start back towards the other end of the quidditch pitch.::

::Just as she flew within feet of the Slytherin Keeper (who looked a little scared, after the run in with elana's beater skills), she faked a toss at the left hoop, and reverse passed to Lily.::

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy zigzagged and moved around and tried to shake Lifey but it was no use. Lifey with her quick flying skills was too much to shake off and she lost possesion of the quaffle.

She turned her broom around and darted after Lifey. That was still her quaffle in her mind and she intended to get it back! She watched carefully and took her aim when she saw Lifey toss the quaffle to Lily.

Nancy's flying was improving lately and she did a fancy move and cut Lily off just before Lily's hands made contact with the thrown ball. Nancy grasped the quaffle tightly in her hands and smiled at Lily. "Sorry my Amiga but I do really need to get some points for Slytherin team you know. But I still love you."

She twisted her broom back around and changed directions and headed twards the Ravenclaw goalposts. The wind was still in her favor and she was able to fly quite quickly becuase of it. She weaved in and out to avoid a few bludgers and was quickly at the side of the field where she needed to be.

Nancy pulled her broom to fly straight up into the air and then dropped down again, gaining more and more speed as she descended. She pulled her broom and stopped quick just a few feet in front of the Ravenclaw keeper. Nancy looked around for a teammate to assist her but saw there were none even close enough to her to pass to so she had to take this one in alone. She tossed the quaffle into the air and turned her broom quickly and used the tail end of it like a bat to knock the quaffle quickly into the middle post with great speed. She sighed a relief when she saw that the quaffle had made it through the hoop and she had scored yet again for her beloved Slytherin team.

(SLytherin Beater)

Raistlin sped to Lifey's and colided with her "Oh I'm sorry I lost control I swear!" smirking he left to fidin himself a bludger...

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

::Holly scowled as Slytherin scored yet another goal against her. She circled the hoops, catching the quaffle. Ravenclaw needed a comeback!::

"Lily!" she shouted. She threw the quaffle over to her fellow teammate.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

::Holly smiled to herself as Lily tossed it back to her. She was waiting for this. Seeing the quaffle zooming for her, she got into position.::

"This is it..." she muttered.

::At the last second she hit the quaffle with the back of her broom towards Jimmy's direction.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy tracked the progress of the Quaffle on its path to Lily and back to Holly, his memory of the play jogged. He grimaced up at the sky as he felt the first few drops of rain on his face, but quickly refocused back on the task at hand. This would need careful timing and great accuracy, but him and Elana had practiced moves like this over and over during training, he was confident it would work. He hoped so anyway, since the Bludger was sailing towards him and his fellow beater was somewhere over the other side of the field at this point, an angry look in her eyes as she tracked Raistlin's progress.

Oh boy, he shouldn't have smashed her broom, then tried to smash Lifey. She didn't just use that bat for hitting bludgers.

With a smirk, and a renewed sense of determination to give Slytherin a resounding, all-round crushing, he wound his arm back, letting loose with a solid hit as it sailed past his head.

CRACK!

The bludger careened forward, smashing into the back of the Quaffle with such force that for a second, Jimmy thought the ball might be pulverised. Fortunately, the indestructibility charms were top-notch and the ball simply shot forward to where Lily was taking up position by the Slytherin hoops.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

::Holly cheered when Lily scored against Slytherin. She circled around the goal posts shouting RA RA RAVENCLAW. They finally did a great payback! Now it was time to get back into play.::

::Holly hovered in front of the goalposts, watching the game when a bludger came at her. It was too late to dodge and it collided with her broom. She let lost grip of her broom and tumbled to the ground::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::HOLLY! Elana dove after her and caught their Keeper on the back of her broom. She was even angrier at Rai now- the broom, unstable with only one, could barely support them both with its newfound damage done by him.::

"You alright Hol?" asked Elana as she flew over to her broom.::

(lol Jimmy, you're absolutely right. I don't use that bat only to hit Bludgers *winks at rai* You might want to watch your back during this match Rai. *smiles sweetly*)

(Ravenclaw Keepers)

::Holly let out a sigh of relief when Elana caught her. She was not in the mood for a collison with the ground this match. The broom, however felt unstable under the extra weight. She smiled at Elana::

"I'm fine." she said, climbing off off her and mounting her own. "Just a little shaken up.." She sent a glare in Rai's direction. "Let's get this game on." she smiled at her team mate.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

::Lifey gasped as Rai swerved into her 'accidentally". She felt herself slipping from her broom, and she actually lost control a little, slipping to the side and dangling from her broom by wrapping her arms and legs around the handle.::

::Carefully she tried to hoist herself up, but it wasn't working, and now one of her legs hand slipped off the broom.::

::Again she tried and failed. Finally after attempting the sloth grip roll several times, she rightened her self, and glared at her competition.::

::She had been knocked off by her grandpa and now returned to her normal playing posistion to find that he was now attacking the rest of her team!::

"RAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ::she yelled, feeling her voice go a little hoarce from the yelling.::

(SLYTHERIN CHASER)

Nancy watched as the Ravenclaw team worked like an oiled machine and scored another goal against Slytherin. She could see that they were not all all impressed with Raistlin at the moment and she bit her lip in worry. She flew over to Raisty. "Watch your self. I think they are planning on getting even."

She flew her broom over twards the center of the pitch. It was really getting cold out now as the sun was setting. The game would be over soon. All she wanted to do was finish the game and head up to the castle for a nice glass of elf made meade and a hot bubble bath. But not yet. There was still time to get some points in if she could only get her team to work together.

As Holly tossed the quaffle back into play, Nancy flew twards the open ball quickly. She reached her right hand out and doing a sweeping motion with her arm she grabbed onto the airborne quaffle. She spun her broom around and flew twards the Ravenclaw goalposts, tightening her grip on the ball.

A bludger came at her fast from the right side of the field and Nancy was not quick enough to avoid it's wrath. It hit the front of her broom hard and sent her into a vertical nosedive. She desprately tried to pull up to steady herself with her open left hand but it was no use. She would need both hands to be able to regain control.

Nancy spotted Raisty not too far above her and she yelled up to him. "Take this. You know what to do." She tossed the quaffle up to him as hard as she could and placed her now free hand onto her broom. She pulled up with all the strength she had and was finally able to steady herself and fly horizontally once more. None to soon either. She could see the ground not too far beneath her and would have crashed before too long.

She flew back up with a bit of difficulty. Her broom would need some TLC now but it was going to have to wait until after the game was over. She watched and waited for Raisty to make his move and would be ready if he needed help.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

The sun was beginning to set, a crimson line forming on the horizon as Jimmy spared a moment to look out over the field. A deep, orange glow was settling over the stands, coating everything with its luminescence, giving an almost ethereal look to the broomsticks as they swerved and weaved, bobbed and ducked amongst each other. The balls were getting harder to distinguish in the sunset, the small bludgers now having to be listened for as well as merely spotted. In fact, the Ravenclaw beater almost didn't notice as one of the balls came streaking towards him, whether it was sent by one of the Slytherins or he was simply in the wrong place, he didn't know.

He reacted on instinct, one hand slicing outwards and just managing to deflect the bludger from hitting him straight in the solar plexus. The reverberation of the impact rattled down the bones of his arm, which was still healed from the last game they'd played, but gave him trouble now and again. Especially in a game which had gone on for days, like this one. He glanced at Elly as she continued her lonely vigil atop the action, circling and searching for the Snitch.

Come on, need to get it soon. He thought silently to her, as the sound of Bludger hitting wood drew his attention. He watched as Nancy went into a nosedive, wanting to go help her but forcing himself to put friendships aside for the moment. This was Quidditch, it was serious. His eyes tracked the Quaffle as she threw it to Raistlin, and immediately he gunned his broomstick forward, curving and twirling to avoid players going the opposite way to him as he kept his ears pricked and open for the distinctive...

There! He heard it, somewhere to his left. Pulling his broomstick sharply to the side and folowing the sound, his eyes eventually spotted the small, dark object bouncing erratically through the air. He came up beside it, spared one more glance at Raistlin to determine the Chaser's speed and trajectory, before he pulled his arm back and swiped!

WHOOOOOOSH!

He missed! He'd hardly missed a bludger all game yet he did for this crucial one.

"Whoah!" He cried, as the follow through on his swing caused him to lean a bit far forward, the nose of his broom pushing down and around while he didn't have a firm grip on the handle. He went head over heels, just managing to grab on in time before the broomstick fell away from him. He held on, unable to correct his course as it angled downwards, streaking rather quickly towards the very solid earth.

"A LITTLE HELP, ANYONE?!"

(Slytherin Reserve Beater)

Raistlin watched snapey throw the quafle to him all the other team commontion to try stop it but they couldn't.
As soon as the quaffle entered in his eye range he reflexivly hit with the stick like he'd have done to a bludger. Though aimless the quaffle flew to ravenclaw goal poast! "Geez i'm good even when I fail! shame that that doesn't count"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Dropping unceremoniously onto the back of Lily's broom, before they set off after his own errant one was no easy feat. One small miscalculation on either of their parts and he reckoned that he'd be spending a long, long time in the Hospital Wing. Luckily however, it was all kosher, and they caught up easily with his broomstick.

"Cheers for the lift Lily," He said, placing one hand on her shoulder as he stood up on the back of her broom and jumped off, sliding his own between his legs in mid-air. "How about a little fun?" He grinned, twirling his beater bat around his hand.

(OFF: Raistlin, Lily already posted taking possession, and you can't score with your bat. Elana and I got in trouble with the Gryffies for it before ;)).

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy soared through the air, smashing a bludger that was passing his way at the nearest green-robed figure he could see that was making their way towards Lily. He leant in against his broomstick, hoping to reach her before another Slytherin chaser could do anything about it.

"Lils!" He shouted. "Grab my hand and we'll do a cartwheel!" They'd practiced this play a couple of times, it was one of their slightly more bizarre ones. Essentially, the idea was that they'd make a spinning, two player "wheel" on their way up the field, Jimmy on the outside with hit bat outstretched. Hopefully that would dissuade anyone from getting close enough to tackle her for fear of getting clobbered. He felt her hand in his and he held on tight as they began to spin, Jimmy rotating around the periphery as Lily tried to move them forward from the centre. It was making him feel dizzy, as if his head might implode from the g-forces acting on him at any instant, but it was working. Finally, they crossed the centre line, moving halfway through the Slytherin half before he shouted to his Chaser.

"Okay! Get ready to let go when I say!" He shouted over the roar of the crowd and the wind, tucking his bat into his belt and putting his other hand over hers. Spinning on the spot, now she was the one on the outside as he moved her around and around faster and faster, building up her momentum before he cried out.

"Now!" He threw her towards the Slytherin hoops with all his strength, watching as she soared off with the power already generated from spinning her. Fumbling his grip on his broom slightly, he turned in an anti-clockwise spin to sort his dizziness out before he continued to watch her rapidly shrinking form, the dying sunlight making it very hard to see as he pulled his bat out and held a hand over his eyes, shading them from the harshness of the rays.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

"YES!" He shouted as the Quaffle went through the hoop, the scoreboard instantly reflecting the change as the ball passed the goal wards. His smile began to fade as Lily carried on spinning into the now amber sun on the horizon, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh...dammit..." he muttered, immediately speeding off towards her. It was his fault after all, he supposed he'd been a bit enthusiastic with the strength and speed at which he'd thrown her. But hey had gotten a goal, so he knew she'd forgive him. Maybe. He didn't want to be on the receiving end of one of her shrinking hexes.

He approached the careening Chaser quickly, closing the gap and approaching into her spin, knocking the nose of her broom the other way as it came around with his own, halting the momentum of the spin and causing her to wobble for a moment before she righted herself.

"Sorry...heh..." he mumbled, scratching his head nervously. "At least we scored, huh?"

(Ravenclaw seeker)

::Elly zoomed round the pitch searching and searching, dodging a bludger sent her way with a sloth roll. She looked around her when she heard a shout. Someone was hit with the bluger. As Elly turned to look at what happened she saw a glint of gold. She headed towards where she thought she saw it, and there is was, zooming off, the small ball that was hrd to spot to most people. She chased after it. The snitch suddenly stopped and Elly flew straight past it. She performed a quick swerve and chased back after the snitch which was now alot below her. She Pusghed the tip of her broom porwards and she went into a steep almost 90degree dive. She pulled herself close to her broom so she went faster towards the snitch. But again the snitch stopped, this time Elly was ready. As she went passed the snicth she brouht her hand off her broom and clasped her fingers around the little cold ball, not letting it go::
