17th House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V GRYFFINDOR: 13th-17th

::WL immediately flew onto the pitch and looked around for some action, disappointed that there was no-one to hit the bludgers at. She contented herself with hitting them constantly at the entrance to the Ravenclaw changing rooms again and again as they rebounded. With that brute force technique, at least one would hit a target...::

Gryffindor Chaser and Quidditch Captain

:prinny was nervous. this was her first game as quidditch captain and she wanted to win it. seeing that WL was the only person to have arrived she flew up to her::

"hey WL!" ::she said and began to discuss tactics::

Jimmy emerged into the wet saturday morning only to have to instantly defend himself against a bludger straight away.

"OI!" He shouted, shaking his fist at WaterLily as he smashed a bludger in her direction "Game on, is it?"

With no more preamble, he mounted his broom and shot up into the sky, ready to play.

::Amber ran unto the pitch out of breath.::

"No worries I made it!" ::she yelled as she interscepted the bludger Jimmy had smashed toward WL.::

Gryffindor Chaser

::prinny saw amby rush on to the pitch::

"hey amby!" ::she said and grabbed the quaffle::

Traci ran out onto the pitch "hey everyone" she called and kicked off the ground

::seeing traci had arrived prinny quickly passed the ball to her::

"hey traci" ::she yelled::

(Ravenclaw Keeper)

::Holly shot into the air and circled in front of the Ravenclaw Goals. This was the match! They had to win this for the sake of Ravenclaw! She noticed Lily's signal and smirked despite herself as she pulled to a stop and hovered::

::She narrowed her eyes as Lily intercepted the quaffle from Gryffindor and hurled it to her. Relying on her quicks, Holly made a sweeping movement and hit the quaffle with the back of her broom towards Jimmy, who was already in postition::

"Come on.." she muttered to herself as she followed the quaffled.

Jimmy peered through the haze of raindrops that surrounded and soaked them as their play went into motion, Holly throwing the Quaffle forward. Personally, he thought it was far too early for the kind of pinpoint accuracy he'd need, but the cheering of the crowd spurred him on. As usual, the Slytherins were cheering on the Ravenclaws, their centuries-old feud with the Lions fuelling their encouragement. He glanced as the Quaffle went flying past, coming level with a bludger and hitting it with all of his strength and care.

THWACK!

The ball went flying forwards, smashing into the Quaffle with not a small amount of force, sending the ball careening towards the Gryffindor hoops...

::prinny grabbed the quaffle and sped over to the goals. she glanced about worriedly and took aim for the right hoop. seeing holly about to dive for it she quickly changed and grinned as the ball soared through the left hoop::

::Amber cheered for Prinny and quickly looked around at her other teammates watching for any stray bludgers, or bludgers aimed at her teammates, but couldn't seem to find any.::

::WL teamed up with Amber, and as Prinny intercepted the Quaffle, she and Amby took of, rallying the bludgers between them and thereby protecting prinny with the quaffle. The other gryffie chasers knew how to do this play in their sleep and were off like lightning, weaving inside the bludgers and passing the ball back and forth.

The whole team, was acting like one big unit as the Seeker was also backing them up and flying around to look for the snitch in the area they had vacated. WL and Amber finally released the two bludgers' wrath on holly the keeper, as Prinny went forward for the goal...Once it was in sight, the ball went sailing through as though it was magnetised...::

Traci grinned as the quaffle was thrown to her she zigzaged faked a pass to prinny coaut the ravenclaw goal keeper of guard and scorded again for gryffindor

::WL realised that traci had just scored and the ravenclaws might try to retaliate, so she stayed close to her and ket on the lookout for a stray bludger until the ravenclaws' attention was elsewhere.::

::prinny grabbed the quaffle and signalled to WL. she hoped it would work...they hadnt tried out this play very often::

::WL raced over to prinny and took her position behind her. The play was similar to the one the chasers often did, but more complicated sine a ball with a mind of its own was involved...She waited for prinny to go ahead the quaffle in her hand, and shadowed her movements, waiting for her to throw the quaffle up. WL had control of a bludger and was dribbling it alongside her until the time was right...all she needed was the quaffle to be chucked up and a bit of back-up from Amber to get rid of any intercepting players::

::prinny grinned at WL and tossed the quaffle into the air. then diving downward to escape being hit by the bludger or the bat she awaited WL's move::

WL surged forward with the bludger and gave it a sharp tap, just enough to send it careening into the quaffle ahead of her. With just the right force behing it, the quaffle went so fast into the hoop, the keeper didn't have enough time to get to the right hoop...it was too fast, and it had some top spin on it to make it look uncontrollable and a very scary looking missile. WL regained control of the bludger::

"good job WL! what do you think we should do now?" ::she asked::

::Amy flew onto the pitch, and made a quick assessment of what was going on. As far as she could see, WL and Aliza had just scored.

She flew over to where they were hovering, and swooped down to pluck the quaffle out of the air before a Ravenclaw chaser was able to.

Then, she turned around, ready to take aim::

::prinny grinned as amy came to join them with the quaffle safetly in her hands::

"so amy...what'll it be? we need to show these eagles some lion pride"

(LOL! why the hell am i talking like such a fool?!?!)

WL stayed behind prinny and amy, letting them do what chasers did best, and made sure the bludgers were at the other end of the pitch, protecting the chasers was of utmost imprtance...it was difficult to get in many beater-chaser plays, but they had had to make do with what was available::

Glancing worriedly out over the pitch and his tired-looking team mates, the fatigue from the last game having apparently not left them, Jimmy gunned his broom forward. He was flying like a man possessed, twirling, blocking, weaving and winding through the rain and the sea of red and blue as his eyes scanned for the ball, and there it was. He flew over to where the bludger was flying, and with a quick glance at the Gryffindor captain, he smashed a bludger towards her, hoping to unseat her hold on the Quaffle for Lily to dive in and grab it.

"Come on Ravenclaw!" He shouted, frustrated.

::prinny didnt see the bludger jimmy whacked at her till the last minute. thinking quickly she performed the sloth grip roll and the bludger just missed her broom. as she righted herself she saw the broom go flying toward holly. while she was distracted amy quickly passed the ball to her and she scored. turning around to face jimmy she said::

"your not supposed to go for your teammates jimmy boy"

::Holly dodged for the quaffle, but it soared right passed her into the hoops. THey had scored once again and it was really starting to get on her nerves. As she circled back and caught the tumbling quaffle, she saw a bludger heading straight for her.::

::It was too late and it collided with her broom. Holly let out a shriek, making sure not to los the quaffle and held on as tight as she could onto her broom, dangling. It was pure luck that it didn't snap. She glared after the bludger, cursing under her breath::

(Gryff Keeper)

::Swift rushed onto the pitch, broom in hand. The McDonald's she had just eaten was being forcefully kept down. Unfortunately, once she was in the air, she felt rather sick, and promptly threw up over Lily's Ravenclaw cloak.

"Ooops..... sorry big sis!!!!!!" the Gryffindor mumbled, flying off towards the goalposts.

Not her own, of course; Brunette was dangling in mid air, and if the Quaffle wasn't anywhere near the Gryffindor goalposts, then Swift might as well save her from falling onto the pitch. She pulled to a stop in front of Brunette, grimacing slightly.

"Sorry about throwing up on Lily... I won't do the same to you, I promise!"

She pulled the Ravenclaw Keeper up back onto her broom, then went to go guard her own goalposts.::

::Late, late, late, late, why must she be late today?! Very bad day to be forgetful and sleep in. Bad Elana! But she was here, and better late than never, right? Elana ran onto the pitch and swung her leg over her broom that was good as new even after their last match. Even though her broom was fine, her memory was as sharp as ever and she wasn't going to give up that grudge towards Rai any time soon. The sound of cheers and chants of the Ravenclaws and even the Slytherins cheering for her team made Elana smile even though her team was probably going to murder her soon for being so late. She kicked off and raced through the pounding rain and speeding players towards the Ravenclaw goals where Holly was dangling from her broom.::

"Hey Holly," she said cheerfully as she helped her friend back onto her broom. "You ok?"

"LILYFLOWER YOU ARE OFFICIALLY INSANE!" cried Elana towards their co-cappie. She couldn't help but laugh good heartedly though, you couldn't not love Lily.::

::Once sure that Holly was alright and steady on her broom, Elana took off towards a Bludger. She hit it up high into the air and zoomed after it before it could arc its way down. Conveniently enough, there just happened to be a member of the Gryffindor team below her. Imagine that. Grinning impishly Elana swung at the Bludger and hit it hard directly below her. Even with the loud CRACK her lovely Beater’s Bat made on the Bludger the Gryffindor didn’t have a clue, she had hit it hard and it was down on her in a heartbeat. Smiling to herself Elana sped off before someone could get vengeful.::

::Time to get everyone out of their way. Lily was near the goals and had just scored, so a few Gryffindor Chasers were headed that way...well, not for long. From her position above most of the game, Elana could fly without interference which made it much easier to find a handy Bludger or two. There was one flying towards her and she brought up her bat and whacked it down below towards the Lion's Chasers. And after flying along for a bit she encountered another and sent it down to join the first. Elana was too far up to hear if they connected or not, but she trusted her aim enough to believe that at least one met its target.::

::Holly smiled when Elana came and helped her onto her broom. She looked at her hands, they had blisters now. Muttering under her breath, she rememberd that she had left her gloves in her dormitory.::

"Fine," she told Elana, with a smile after tossing the quaffle. "Thanks for the lift!"

::As Holly swerved and came to stop in front of the hoops she saw Lily speeding for Gryfindor goalposts. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see. The woman was crazy! But when the crowd cheered, Holly opened her eyes and smiled. Lily had scored!::

::She pumped her fist in the air, circling around the Ravenclaw posts::

"RA RA RAVENCLAW!" she sang out loudly.

::Not on my watch, thought Elana as she saw a Chaser racing after Lily. Bludger, she needed a Bludger. Aha! One off to her left, good. Elana sped towards it and whacked it at one of the Chasers following their brave LilyFlower. She hovered above them and her bright green eyes followed the path of the Bludger. It hit the Gryffindor Chaser so now there wasn't that threat.::

"Come on Lily!" Elana called, cupping her hands to her mouth as she cheered on their co-captain. A Bludger zoomed past her, nearly knocking her off her broom as she sat not holding on with anything but her legs. She lay down and took off after it- there was still the Keeper between Lily and the goal. She caught up with the Bludger and smacked it at the Keeper, hopefully it would hit the Gryffindor before Lily tried to score.::

::But of course, what she did wasn't enough to keep Lily from getting hurt- she could manage that herself in a padded cell. Elana quickly flew over to her and grabbed her arm, pulling her away from the stands. They were tipping ominously and screams coming from them made it hard to hear anything else.::

"What are we going to do with you, Lily?" asked Elana exasperatedly.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::At the shrill blast of the whistle and the woosh of the Quaffle being thrown up, Elana soared towards the middle of the pitch, in position for anything. She watched as a Gryffindor got the Quaffle before one of her own Chasers and flew towards Holly. She could handle them, Elana was sure of it.::

(commentator)

::Jenn rushed out to the stands and started running up the steps to the commentator's box. "Stupid house elves. You tell them to wake you up and they wake you up days later." Panting as she finally reached the top she grabbed the microphone.::

"Hello everyone and welcome to the Gryffindor VS. Ravenclaw match! Sorry for being late but here I am! As we all know this is a very important match as the season is about to end and each goal is crucial to who will win the Quidditch Cup this term! And it shows as both teams are giving it everything they have in this game. As of this moment, Gryffindor is in possession of the quaffle! Yet the Ravenclaw beaters are speeding to catch up to them!"

[Ravenclaw Keeper]

::Holly brushed at her bangs that were getting matted down against her forehead by the rain. She grumbled, repostioning herself on her broom, careful not slip. She looked up briefly and then did a double take. All three of the Gryffindor chasers were speeding towards her, quaffle in hand. Her eyes widened as she glanced around for any sign of her teammates. She could really use them about now!::
