17th House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V GRYFFINDOR: 13th-17th

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy watched as Holly saved the Quaffle, giving her a thumbs up before a sudden whistling sound caught his ear. Reacting instinctively, he hit across his chest, smashing the bludger in the direction of his fellow beater!

Uh oh

As he looked on despondently, he noticed another bludger incoming towards Elana.

"LANA!" He yelled, pointing frantically at the bludger he'd sent her way. "TENNIS!!!!" He followed on, motioning between them before turning to Lily.

"Follow us!" With that last reply, he began to move forwards.

Gryffindor Chaser

::aliza intecepted the quaffle holly threw at lily and looked around her...seeing WL and amber were keeping any ravenclaw threats away she had only holly to beat. quickly swerving to the right she curved the ball into the left hoop. grinning at holly's confused look she awaited the next chance she got::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Their movement upfield now secured all the way to the Gryffindor hoops, Jimmy returned the bludger to Elana one last time, taking a second to watch as she pelted it at the Keeper, waiting to see which way she went before he sent his own at her as well.

"The goal's wide open Lils!" He yelled, banking off to get out of harm's way before the Gryffindor beaters could react. "Do it for Ravenclaw!"

(ravenclaw chaser and co-captain)

::Lifey quickly joined the game, feeling terable for missing so much. Coughing and searching her robes for extra kleenex tissues, Lifey hoped that her sickness wouldn't inhibit her playing abilities.::


::It seemed that her other chaser wasn't in too good of a condition either and that she had got there just in time.::

::Flying up next to Lily worridly Lifey hovered next to her.::

"Lily are you okay?" ::She wished she could use her wand, but knew it was preffered if no wands were used.::

(Ravenclaw Beater)

As Lily took possession of the Quaffle, Jimmy signalled to Elana, motioning for her to come to him.

"I have an idea," He whispered over the roaring sound of the rain around them. They were all soaked, but in all honestly, they'd failed to feel it long ago, the cold and the wet no longer a concern for any of the crimson or cerulean-robed players on the field. "Grab one of Lily's arms, and we'll take her to the goal, she looks shattered." And she did. He'd seen her take a nasty crash earlier and it was obviously weighing on her, judging by her sluggish reactions and her almost constant wincing. As the two Beaters banked off from each other, Jimmy closed in on his co-Captain, taking her arm as lightly as he could.

"Trust us Lils," He said to her as he began to speed forward, looking for Elana. "This'll work!"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Elana had linked her arm with his and they'd formed a crude human battering ram, pushing forward up the pitch and through the Gryffindor defences, none of the bludgers or chasers being able to get a look-in as they sped towards the hoops.

"Alright Lana, Lils, ready?" He yelled, over the sound of the wind and the rain in their ears. "On the count of three, one, two...THREE!"

With the final count, he and Elana launched Lily towards the left hoop after feinting to the right, Jimmy banking off in case it all went horribly wrong, in a position to save his Captain should she need it.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Jimmy watched as the Quaffle soared through the hoop, punching his fist in the air.

"YES!" He shouted jubilantly. "GO RAVENCLAW!" However, his joy turned to slight horror as he noticed Lily following the Quaffle through the hoop!

"Uh oh..." He murmured, for what felt like the fiftieth time in the last few games before instinct kicked in and he sped forward, grabbing her by the hand and spinning her around just before she crashed into a group of Slytherin spectators.

"Lils, are you sure you're alright?" He asked, concern in his voice and his eyes as he guided her back to the pitch. "You don't look so good..."

(Ravenclaw Beater)

::Elana let out a long sigh of relief. Goodness that had been risky. Elana looked over to her teammates, but Jimmy had caughten Lily and all was fine it seemed. She took off towards the middle of the pitch to look for a Bludger. The Gryffindor Chasers would've gotten to the Quaffle by now...that could not last, not with the Ravenclaws on the pitch, strong as ever..::

(Gryffindor Chaser)

::Amy watched the Ravenclaw's at the other end of the pitch as she caught the quaffle and swooped around the other members of her team.

She approached the goalposts and got ready to score, hoping that she would be able to before any of the Ravenclaw's noticed...::

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

::Elly watched the game as she saw Amy about to score. She called to Elana who wasready a bludger flying towards her. She swung her bat and hit amy. Amy dropped the quaffle and a swish of blue caught it.

"Yeah! Go ravenclaw!"

~Ah wait, must get back to MY part of thegame. Look for the snitch.~

And then she saw it. Teh gold little ball dancing around the field happily. Free. But not Free for long. Elly Zoomed towards the golden ball::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::WL realised faintly that Ravenclaw had taken over the game in a very short time...she sucked up her breath and went off to try and save the snitch for Katie to catch it. She whacked a ball into Elly's path so that she would veer off and the snitch would be lost again.::

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

::Elly saw the snicth coming at her out the corner of her eye. She kept her eye on the snicth but also trying to keep site of the bludger. It came at heran she performed her favourite move. teh slot grip roll. She turned her broom over and the bludger flew over the top, missing completely. Elly smiled and puleld herself up and back on course. She klost the site of the snitch for a second but continued to follow it.

~Good try WL~ she thoguh ~But not good enoguh~ Elly smirked::

~this snitch is tricky~

::Elly dodged in and out of blurred shapes, she couldn't heard anything, all her senses blockedthemselvesoff except for her sight which became as sharp as ever. And her quick, almost cat like, reactions meant following the snitch was easy, it was just getting the right speed. She hoped the snitch would decide tofly down, but instead it chose an upward root. higher and higher. Elly followed, her broom struggling with the amount of height. she daren't look down. Though she wasn;t scared of heights human natural reactions meant she would loose the snitch. And that would be such a shame. Elly could feel it gettign colder, but then the snitch leveled out and so did elly. But she did something stupid. She looked down. Her broom wobbled slightly at the sight. But elly tried to forget all that and swalled her fears.

~One of my teamates would catch me...~ she swallowed a lump in her throat ~hopefully~

She followed the snicth slower this time and more carefully. her senses all awake and alert::

::Elly balanced uneasily on her broom but kept going towards the snitch. She put on a little speed catchign up with the snicth, it plummited downwards.

~now it decides to go down~ she thought, getting annoyed. She plummited down after the snitch and gained extra speed maqking her just a fast blur. She managed to look to her left and see lily hit the quaffle into the goal with the tail of her broom. elly smiled. This goal gave her an extra push and her broom accelerated. She reached out. Dives were Ellys speciality. She was going to catch it.

"Got it!"She said out loud. she did a flip of her broom to steady herself and held the snitch up high for everyone to see::
