Godric's Hollow

I was surprised no one started this topic yet, maybe because JK hasn't revealed much about it, but then again she hasn't said much about Azkaban either, so...here goes.

Harry walked up the lonely road that led to his parents gravesites. He had left the others a little up the road on the pretense that he wanted to be alone. That was for the most part true, but a small part of him really wanted Ginny with him, and the farther away from them he got, the bigger that part of him became. He was just about to turn around to go get her when he saw the entrance to the cemetary. Within a minute he was stepping through the gate and searching for his parents' grave. Walking along row after row it took him around ten minutes to find them, and when he did he fell to his knees and broke down and cried.

He had been crying for nearly fifteen minutes when he heard the gate open and someone walking towards him. He looked up through blurry eyes at what was unmistakably Ginny. He watched her approach and sit next to him all the while still silently crying. She took him in her arms and held him as his grief grabbed ahold of him again. They sat there like that for another twenty minutes at the end of which Ginny was also silently crying. Crying for Harry's loss of his parent's, but also for Harry. She hated to see him upset, but she also knew he needed this. There was nothing else she could do for him at the moment.

Harry looked up at Ginny and saw the tears that were flowing out of her eyes. He wasn't surprised to see Ginny crying with him; that was the kind of person she was. He motioned for her to get up with him and after silently conjuring a boquet of flowers that he laid on the space between his parents grave, they began to make their way back to Ron and Hermione. They found them at the entrance to the graveyard. Ron saw the tear streaks on Harry's face and politely turned his head to give Harry a chance to clean himself up if he wanted to. Harry was thankful Ron did this and was about to mutter a cleaning charm on himself when Hermione grabbed him in a rather tight hug. She held onto him for a bit longer than he thought was necessary, but he didn't say anything to her about it. When she let go of him, he turned his wand to his face and muttered "Scourgify". Ron turned back to Harry when he was done and put his hand on his shoulder.

"Where to, next, Harry?"

"I think we should head to my parent's place next. I want to see whats left of it."

Ginny grabbed his hand and they turned towards the road and began walking.

Rhia quickly turned her head to the side, away from those mesmerizing mirrors. THen she got an idea. "Lily Potter didn't say how many things were hidden in the basement ruins,"Rhia said. "Could there have been more than one?"

Harry listenedto Rhia's idea with more than a little interest. He looked over at Lily to see whether or not Lily had said how many things were hidden.

"I don't think so. I really don't think he'd hide two in one place. to easy to find, and much to easy to destroy. No, the rest are hidden in a different place." Lily said firmly.

She pushed her bangs out of her face slightly and then said, "In my studies, I have learned some interesting facts.....Some ideas about where the others may be hidden, and I am willing to help, only if you'd like my help, of course." she said.

A while ago, helping Harry POtter would have been out of the question, but she was not playing for Voldemort anymore, she was playing this game for herself. She wanted the knowledge and experience, and if working for Harry POtter meant she'd learn, then she'd take the chance.

She pushed her bangs out of her face again as they blew back in. She waited for Harry's response.

He considered her response. Yes, it sounded like she knew what she was talking about, but no one could ever be sure, especially with Voldemort being as cunning as he is. But he trusted Lily, at least to a degree, so he decided to trust her here too.

"Yes, I'd like your help. If you know anything about the horcruxes, please let me know, and we can all go and take care of them."

She was right, Voldemort wasn't stupid enough to leave more than one horcrux in any one place.

"you're prabably right, Lily", Rhia said. "But then what's the box for?" Rhia asked pointing to the object.

Lily looked at the box. She kneeled down next to it and then said, "Harry this is...must be, well it's definatly not a horcrux, I think this is just, things that made i through the house exploding." She pushed her bangs back again and looked at the content.

"What? Things that survived the explosion?" Harry looked down at the box and inside it. "Why is it that we can't stare at the outside then, if its just things that survived what happened?"

He kept staring at it for a second and realized that it wasn't bothering him so much now that it was open.

Lily shuffled around. "Nothing's impossible, but it's srange, amazing. It survived when the house was blown up..." she let her sentence fad off and she slowly back away and let harry rumage through the box.

Harry walked towards the box and looked into it, noting that they're were only a couple of things in there. He bent down and felt rather than heard Ginny behind him. She put her hand on his shoulder, giving it a little squeeze almost as if to say, "I'm here."

Harry reached his hand into the box and lifted up an envelope addressed to him in an unfamiliar feminine handwriting, although he instinctively knew it was his mother's handwriting; something about it seemed so familiar.

Underneath the envelope was another smaller box, roughly the length of his wand. He picked up the box noting the ornate crest on the front of it. Opening it, he found two wands, both of cherry wood and almost equal length. He closed the box and turned back to the letter. Deciding that he would read it before he picked up the wands, he pocketed the box and turned to the others.

"Umm, I think me and Ginny are going to need to go off for a little bit." He looked at the others and started walking to the front walk with Ginny's left hand in his right.

Rhia smiled. "Sure Harry".

Ginny Weasley watched as Harry found the letter and the box with the crest on it. She peaked inside it as he opened it and saw the two wands. She stood there quietly for a moment and set her gaze on Harry. She locked eyes with him for a moment and gave him a reasuring smile.

"Umm, I think me and Ginny are going to need to go off for a little bit." She heard Harry say and then took his right hand and placed around her left one. She locked fingers with him and together they began to walk away from the others. Once they got outside Ginny stopped walking and looked up at Harry. "Do you know who they are from Harry?" She asked in barely a whisper. She stood there waiting for him to answer and watched him closely, never letting go of his hand.

"Do you know who they are from Harry?

"I think they're from my parents," he locked his eyes with hers. "I think they are my parents wands. And this letter is from my mum."

Harry squeezed her hand and felt her return it. His gaze left her face, sliding down to look at the letter in his hand. He didn't know what it was that told him it was his mother's handwriting, but somehow he knew. In his heart of hearts he just knew. He looked back into Ginny's eyes and asked, "Should I open it?"

Ginny's eyes lit up. "Your Parent's?" She said with awe in her voice. "Of coarse, they must have, or someonemust have left them for you knowing one day you would find them." She felt him squeeze her hand and he gripped his a bit tighter, locking her fingers with him a bit more. She could sense his excitement and nervousness at the same time.

She was glad she was with him here at this moment. If they were indeed his parent's wands and a letter written by his Mother, he might find out a lot of information about them and about why they were murdered so many years ago. He meant everything to her and she would be here with him, and stand by him as he began his discovery into his and his parent's past.

She returned the gaze he gave her and listened to his words. "Should I open it?" He asked, referring to the letter. "Yes, I think you should, just know that whatever is inside could be just a few words or the beginning of something that may effect you either in a good way or bad. Whatever it is, I will be here for you." She kept her eye contact with him and watched and waited to see what he would do.

Lily nodded as Harry and Ginny walked off.

"So rhia....tell me about yourself," Lily said trying not to sound pushy.

Rhia shrugged. "Not much to tell," she said. "I have two sisters, a brother, I'm a half-blood, and I'm a fifth year Gryffindor..."

"Cool" she sighed. "I have no sisters, I'm a pureblood, I'm a seventh year gryffindor and my parents are dead." Lily finished.

Rhia immediately felt compassion for lily. "I'm sorry," she said softly.

"I's okay," Lily said shaking it off, "I've come to terms with it."

She smilied again and asked , "What are your parents like?"

Rhia thought a bit. "THey're nice, but a bit strict. I don't really know how to describe them," RHia sighed. "They're just good parents."

Harry listened to her words, full of love and compassion for him. He studied her face for a moment and then dropped his gaze to the letter. Taking his now trembling hand out of hers, he turned the letter over and slit the backing open, and then pulled out the letter. A key dropped out of the envelope and he bent down to pick it up. Once the key was safe in his pocket he unfolded the letter and began to read.

Dear Harry,

Honey, if you're reading this, I am so sorry for whats happened. Voldemort is a big bloody animal. Harry, the key you now have is to a lockbox at Grimmauld Place. In the upstairs main bedroom there is a box. It is rightfully yours, so go and get it. If you have a lady-friend now, take her as well. You will find a much more detailed and thought out letter in there. The wands were your fathers and mine, and we wanted you to have them if they weren't destroyed. Dumbldore arranged everything. Remember, your father and I love you honey. Goodbye.

Your mother, Lily Potter.

Lily sighed and said "My parents were kind and very understanding, they supported me in my choices and gave me freedom. they just wanted the best for me"

Lily smilied and said "Life sucks sometimes."

Rhia smiled wryly. "Doesn't it?" she said rhetorically.

Lily giggled.

"Maybe we should explore a bit more. I bet there's loads to learn here," Lily said to Rhia

Nodding, Rhia said, "That's a great idea! Let's go!" THe two friends walked off across the ruins.

Lily walked carefully around stopping occasionaly to look at other objects. She stopped and picked up a little blanket..."Rhia look."

"Oh," Rhia gasped. "Is that Harry's old one?"

"Must be....."

Lily bit her bottom lip and then said , "we'll give it to him when he and Ginny come back."

Rhia nodded. "Good idea. Oh, what's over there?" Rhia asked, pointing off into a corner of the destroyed room. The corner of a book peeked out and Rhia motioned for Lily to follow her as she carefully walked towards it.

"Not sure...let's go see," Lily said and started carefully toward where rhia had pointed

Rhia gently teased and nudged the book out of the rubble. When she had finally gotten it out, she gasped. On the beautiful red leather cover of the book, were the words: Lily and James Potter: a Joint Journal

Ginny held Harry's hand throughout the entire reading of the letter. She kissed him when he looked back at her with tears in his eyes. Not so much that anything sad was said in the letter, more that it was his only correspondence to his mother at this point. They turned back silently and headed towards the house and the basement. Once inside, they got back to the rubble and saw something in Rhia's hand.

"What's that Rhia?" Harry asked.

" I think it might be your parents's journal," Rhia said. "Atleast, that's what it says." SHe handed it to him.

Harry took the book from her, and sure enough it had his parents name in the cover. He flipped to a couple different pages before sticking it into his robes and turning back to the others.

"I'm going to read this later. It is a journal of my parent's joint writing, I just want to read it later on. For now, I'm going to search around."

Rhia nodded. "Lily and I will look around some more," she offered.

"Thanks, Rhia. Ginny and I will take this side over here, can you guys take that one over there?"

"Sure," RHia said.

Harry looked around the room they were standing in and took a quick inventory. There wasn't much in here, mostly rubble. He wasn't surprised, but wished there was more.

He kicked some rubble with the toe of his shoe and saw that he had revealed a small square box. Bending down, he picked it up and took the top off revealing a golden snitch. He picked the snitch up out of the box and let it fly around catching it every now and then wondering who's it was, and assuming that since it was here in the house it was most likely his. He grabbed it once last time and placed it back in the box which he placed in his pocket.

Rhia carefully stepped around piles of rubble before something caught her eye. There seemed to be a stick poking out of some heaps of plaster... what could it be? Rhia grabbed the end that could be seen, and grunted as she pulled at it, trying to get it free. With an exclamation of surprise, Rhia fell and landed on her back as the object suddenly came free. She stared in surprise and immediate suspicion at what she held in her hand. How on earth had a racing broom, in what seemed perfect condition, survived the chaos that had obviously caused the house to crumble?

Rick was walking around the perimeter of the Potter house, watching at a distance as Harry and his friends went into the house. He was checking on one of his master's horcruxes, and what he saw was not good. That insufferable Lily and that even more insufferable Potter had destroyed it. His master was not going to be pleased about this, but hopefully he could deal with Lily before he left. He disillusioned himself and waited for them to come back out.

Rhia coughed as she inhaled some plaster. Quickly stepping outside and away from the rubble, Rhia took out her wand and muttered, "Anapneo." Instantly, her throat was clear. frowning, Rhia noticed a shimmering in the air. "What the...?" Blinking, Rhia saw that it wasn't there anymore. Shaking her head, Rhia thought, 'I must've been hallucinating...'

Pointing his wand at Rhia, he muttered "Stupefy", and watched Rhia fall to the ground. He accioed her body away from the entrance to the house and put a dissillusionment charm on her so nobody would see her body before he got to them. He was sure someone would come looking for her.

Everything was black... that was the first thing that Rhia noticed when she woke up. She felt as if she was slowly being pulled from out of underwater when she groggily opened her eyes. And boy, did her head hurt. With her eyes now open, Rhia saw that she was on the ground in front of the ruins of Harry's old house. 'What the...?' she thought before slowly turning her head to the side.

When she did, Rhia recieved quite a shock. 'Where's my arm?' she thought before realizing that if she squinted, a patch of air looked blurry when she moved her fingers. Realizing that she must be disillusioned, Rhia did teh math. 2+2= Rhia getting stunned and disillusioned. Ever so slowly, Rhia inched her almost invisible arm towards the wand in her pocket, and ever so slowly, she drew out her wand.

Taking a deep breath, Rhia counted to 3 in her head and quickly jumped up on her feet. "Expelliarmus!" she cried at a blurry patch of air that had just jumped. "Voit!" she added so that her captor's disillusionment charm fell off.

Rick's wand jumped to the tip of his hand when Rhia shouted "Expelliarmus", but he was able to hang onto it, grabbing the handle at the last second. Shouting a hasty "Stupefy" as his dissillusionment charm wore off he heard a thump as Rhia's body made contact with the ground. He threw another disillusionment charm on himself and removed Rhia's before getting a maniacal smirk on his face. He whispered, "That's going to cost you. Silencio, Incarcerous, Ennervate."

As Rhia's eyes opened, he cast an illusion to hide the two of them before muttering "Crucio." Rhia's fear-filled eyes grew large and she started fighting against the bonds holding her in place. Waiting a full minute, he threw off the cruciatus and stupefied her once more, turning back to wait after making sure the surrounding area was clear.

Lily finally snapped back into reality adn turned around to barely see Someone else besides herself and Rhia. Yet riah was oddly being blended in as well.

"Who are you?" she sneered at the newcomer, "and what the heck do you want with us? Are you a death eater? Trying to come save some buddies of yours?"

She taunted him with her wand drawn, and she had put a secret super powered protective shield around herself.

Chris walked up behind Lily. "What has happened?"

"Put a shield up," she hissed at her friend.

"SOme dude against riah...and me.." lily gulped.

"Protego." Chris shouted. "Is he a Death Eater?"

"probably," she muttered.

"Listen, get rhia out of here. I won't see you for a while....If you need anything, ask my friend Tally. SHe knows me more than I know myself"

and with that Lily apparated away.

"Rhia where should we go?" Chris asked.

"Rhia where should we go?" Chris made a very large mistake doing this. His concentration to hold the shield had dissappeared enough to let Rick's next attack bust through. He thought of using a stupefy, but something held him back, something evil..."Abscido Arm!" The cutting spell was aimed right at Chris's wand arm. Rick watched as the spell slammed into his arm and right through the weak shield spell. Turning away from Chris he shouted "Amitto!" at Rhia and watched as she vanished. He turned back to Chris and was about to finish him off when he felt the Dark Mark burn and apparated out.
