2nd House Quidditch: RAVENCLAW V HUFFLEPUFF: 3rd-7th

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

::Lifey rushed out onto the field amongst her team and was the first of the lot to mount her broom and kick of hard into the waiting blueness that was the sky. Smilling and feeling her stomache drop out from her as the familiar sensation of flying sunk in, Lifey let out a yell of happyness to her teammates.::

::She swung her broom around and raced a loop around the field with her fellow chasers, loving every second of it.::

::The players were called into posision and the quidditch balls, quaffle among them were released. Lifey, with reflexes as sharpe as ever was on it, snatching it before it even started to drop back towards the ground. Off she sped, Like a bullet towards the Hufflepuff goal post.::

::About halfway across the pitch Lifey waved to Lily and Legendary with the signal and a nod. They had practiced, and they all knew which play it was. She pulled her arm back, as she knew that a hard fast pass would be difficult to intercept, and made a brilliant clean pass half way across the pitch to Lily's waiting arms.::

::Flattening herself over her broom handle, Lifey pushed a burst of speed from her broom and tried to race the quaffle towards Lily's end of the pitch, praying that she would make it there in decent time.::

::Would Anthony get there in time?::

::Oh it was good to be back!::

::Lifey grinned to herself, still flattened against her broom, heart and head pounding.::

( Ravenclaw Chaser)

Anthony walked out onto the pitch for the first time in his hogwarts life. With the Ravenclaw quidditch robes on he felt invincible, holding his broom in his left hand he stared up at the sky seeing Lifey and Lily racing across the pitch. "Here goes nothing" he said to himself and pushed off the ground racing towards the action.The first game of the term was here and it was against the Hufflepuffs. Feeling the air against his face was exciting and a bit terrifying at first but he quickly got used to it. Remembering the play discussed before the game he quickly set off to get in the best postion. By the time he got to the Huffies goal the play was already in motion. He saw lifey throw the quaffle over to Lily who caught it and took off dodging a bludger. Once she stopped he knew it was time- She threw the quaffle in the air and gave it a smack with her broom. The quaffle came soring towards Anthony with precision and speed. He quickly reached out his hand and grabbed hoping a bludger wasn't soon to follow. Once he caught the quaffle he secured it tightly leaned on his broom and took off racing towards the Hufflepuff's goal focusing on nothing but scoring. Anthony leaned forward racing as fast as he could towards the the Hufflepuffs goal When he saw the keeper smile and look away Anthony barrel rolled to left and flew by and threw the Quaffle for a score.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Quickly running out to the quidditch field, Jenn wrinkled her nose a bit as the wind blew dust in her face. As her fingers nimbly tied her black hair into a neat ponytail, her broomstick trailed behind her waiting for its owner. She grabbed hold of the handle with her right hand and squinted up at the sky to see three figures flying around on their broomsticks. Glancing at her wrist watch, Jenn shook her head in disbelief.

“I’m five minutes late and they’ve already scored a goal?” She muttered to herself as she hopped on her broom. “What do these Ravens do? SLEEP on the quidditch pitch?” Jenn smiled slightly to herself at the thought of this. Shaking her head to pay attention, she flew to the center of the field and managed to snag the quaffle as it was thrown into play once more. Tucking the quaffle between her stomach and the broomstick, Jenn leaned down low and protected the quaffle with her arms as she tightly gripped the broom. Spotting approaching players, she loosened her fingers and slid upside down on her broomstick causing it to drop drastically out of the way.

Swirling around, Jenn blinked against the wind as she managed to turn the broom so she was rightside up again. As she spotted a bludger swerving in her direction, she pulled a hard left to miss it by mere inches. As she knew how hard the other team trained, Jenn didn’t need to look behind her to know that her little diversion tactic would only buy her a few precious seconds of stalling. Kicking up her heels, she gripped the quaffle tightly and swiftly flew toward the Ravenclaw hoops.

Ravenclaw Chaser)


Anthony wanted to celebrate his first score but he knew this wasn't the time. The crowd was screaming the wind was blowing and he had to stay focused on the game. Gripping his broom he flew back to await the quaffle but Jenn had already came out to the pitch and had posession of the quaffle. Leaning as flat as he could racing after her. He was determined to take back the quaffle. Racing as fast as he could tring to catch up with Jenn ignoring the tears in his eyes from the winds blinding sting he saw Lily flying up above. What was she going to do? he thought. Anthony slowed down a bit to see what was going to unfold. If he knew anything it was Lily had a plan of some kind. Watching Lily fly right above Jenn he was amazed at the poetic nature of this sport. The gracefulness and the challenge. He was addicted. Just then he saw Lily fly straight down towards Jenn with savage speed. Anthony held his breath. At the last moment he saw Lily hit the quaffle with the tip of her broom and out it flew. Then whats more she managed to catch it. With that Anthony quickly turned around and took off racing as fast as he could towards he Hufflepuffs end of the pitch. Hoping there would be no bludgers coming his way he scanned the pitch constantly on the look out. Just as he thought he was in the clear he had to dodge one. Leaning to his right as one just missed his shoulder. Making sure the cost was clear he leaned down and resumed racing towards the goal. As he neared them he saw Lily duck in behind him out of the corner of his eye. They both flew with precision and speed heading straight for the Hufflepuff keeper. Anthony looked back at Lily and she "passed" the quaffle to him. Anthony "caught" and "secured" it and took off flying at the Huffie keeper. Closing in with a determined look in his eye he knew it was now or never. And with that gripping his broom with both hands he pulled as hard as he could and zoomed off towards the left goal.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

With bleary eyes, Jimmy made his way down the path to the Quidditch stadium, stumbling as his pulled on his robes and body armour for the game. Man, but it wasn't half cold this morning. His breath frosted on the air in a thin white vapour as he buckled his last clasp on the wristguards and unhooked his beaters bat from its holster on his hip, before slinging his broom down from over his shoulder and standing over it.

With not a little effort, he kicked off the ground, feeling the magic inside the wooden object suddenly come alive with a low thrum, catapulting him through the morning air like a knife through butter. As he drew closer to the stadium the roars became more defined, and inwardly he cursed.

"Well done Jimmy," He grumbled. "First match as Captain and you're late." He swooped in, making a particular effort to bank a low pass over the stand that contained the most yellow and black and the least blue and bronze, before taking up position in the back row of the Ravenclaw half. Catching Lily's eye, he winced apologetically before waving.

"Sorry, bloody alarm clock." He said, before gripping his bat and beginning to search the sky for small, dark bludgers to terrorise the Hufflepuffs with.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Marie hopped on the Quidditch pitch while trying to tie her shoe lace but she merely ended up losing balance and falling flat on her face. Mumbling under her breath, she sat up straight and put her shoe on correctly before adjusting the rest of her clothing and looking around, feeling like she was missing something. Shrugging, she jumped on her broom and kicked the ground roughly, sending herself flying up just as the wind blew at her, sending her hair twirling and dancing in her face.

"Hair band... that's what I forgot," she mumbled.

She looked through her pockets but found nothing. Groaning, she tried to do without it but her hair was too long and blocking her vision at every move she tried to make. Looking down and without thinking, she untied her left shoe and grabbed the shoe lace as the shoe fell to the ground before pulling her hair up in a ponytail.

"Much better.. who needs shoes when we're flying anyway," she said, finally able to see where she was going.

She looked around and rolled her eyes when she saw only Jenn was there yet. At least that meant she herself wasn't that late... shrugging, she scanned the pitch for the quaffle and finally saw it in the arms of an upcoming Ravenclaw chaser. Turning her broom around, she sped toward the said chaser and when she was about to collide she swiflty moved her broom to the right and grabbed the quaffle, almost loosing her balance in the process but managing to steady herself on her broom before she fell, unlike Lily who, it seemed, was dangling under her broom. Rolling her eyes at the lack of help from her own team, Marie flew toward the Ravenclaw chaser and tucked the quaffle safely between her two knees, helping Lily back on her broom before speeding toward the Ravenclaw goals. She let go of the quaffle, which was still between her knees, and kicked it when it was at the right place for it.

She waited anxiously and when it went through the left hoop, she did a little dance victory, forgetting she was on a broom, before feeling a sharp pain go through her left foot with which she had kicked the quaffle. Maybe shoes were needing even when flying after all...

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Mel ran onto the pitch, her heart beating rapidly as her first quidditch game was upon her. She quickly muttered a spell to control her nerves before mounting her broom and lifting off into air.

Suddenly the breeze hit her face and she felt calm and collected. She hoped that she could help Hufflepuff steal the cup from last terms winners, Ravenclaw.

She noticed her team Captain Jennifer and signalled that everything was alright before taking her place in the center of the field, her eyes on both Jennifer and Marie.

"Wheres the other beaters?" she muttered as she tried to keep her eye on both the Hufflepuff chasers.

She turned just in time to see Marie score

"YES!" She shouted and waved her arms in the air, then blushed feeing slightly foolish.

She rode over to Marie who seemed to be having a problem with her feet.

"Take this" Mel said as she reached Marie, handing over a small bottle of lotion, "It will make your shoes fit your feet perfectly" and quietly she added "and if you warm the bottle first it will give your feet perfect balance and power!"

Mel winked and flew off ready to protect her chasers when she saw a bludger

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn snapped her fingers at the lost of the quaffle and swiftly turned her broom around to reenter the game. Spotting Marie and Mel on the field brought a huge relieved smile to her face. With a determined glint in her eye, she flew toward the center of the field and watched as the quaffle was tossed around. As Jenn watched the quaffle sail into the air as though in slow motion, she leaned to the far right and stretched her fingertips as far as possible with her left hand barely holding the broom.

Not having a good enough grip in the quaffle, she tapped it upward toward her broom with her fingertips and quickly moved back to catch it as it sailed to the left. As she secured it under her arm, a bludger came flying at her as she did the Badger Hide and ducked low on her broomstick. Seeing the bludger gave her an idea as her brown eyes looked up and searched for Mel. Spottingr the beater, Jenn gave two nods and a subtle snap of her fingers to indicate what play should go next.

Turning her broomstick in a 360 degrees, she flew off in the same direction she was facing before as a diversion tactic to throw off the opposing players a bit. Jenn flew in the Woollongong Shimmy maneuver to throw off Chasers.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Mel nodded as she caught Jennifers eye and swiftly made a move towards the rogue bludger, somersalting in the air to gain access past the Ravenclaw chaser who seemed mesmerised in thin air.

At last, she got hold of the bludger, its force pushing her back slightly, yet she compensated with a backwards flip and twirl and began to speed up as she flew towards Jennifer, her eyes not coming off of her team mate.

As she flew past another Ravenclaw team member, their eyes seemingly wide in astonishment as Mel took her bat and tapped the bludger gently forward before hitting it a second time with such a force as it went directly towards Jennifers back

Mel heard the gasps of the crowd and she hoped this move was going to work. No she hadnt gone mad. She just hoped Jenn would move in time

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Having both bludgers suddenly hit her in the back, Jenn gritted her teeth at the pain and dropped the quaffle. She quickly stuck out her left foot and managed to cradle it with at the crook of her foot. Biting her lip, she took deep breathes and picked up with quaffle.
As she approached the Ravenclaw goals, Jenn flew straight toward the right hoop where the keeper was guarding. Smiling, she hovered in front of the Keeper for a moment before she heard the unmistakenable whistling sound coming from right behind her. Her smile widened and she suddenly ducked down.

As she watched Mel’s well-aimed bludger hit the keeper, Jenn pulled her broomstick upward and once again hovered in front of the right goal post. Except due to Mel’s perfect timing, the goal was now unguarded. Reaching out her hand with the quaffle, she tossed the ball into the air. As she gripped the broomstick with both hands, Jenn jerked it to the left and whipped the quaffle straight into the hoops.

Turning around once more, Jenn whistled at Mel. “Great going Mel!” She gave Elana a mock mean glare. “No Blaise for you tonight!” Jenn joked with a stern frown.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Mel grinned. There was a slight moment when she thought that she had hit the bludger slight off track but luckily Jenn's brilliant flying brought the double move off perfectly.

Flying backwards, she once again took the place of guarding her two chasers

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Grimacing, Jimmy swooped up and over the action, hopefully staying out of sight from everyone (bar the Hufflepuff seeker, who he zoomed past just that fraction shy of colliding). It felt so good to be up in the air again, the wind whipping past him as he curved gracefully up, his eye on the small black dot in amidst the chaos that was Quidditch below.

Falling backwards into a kind of half sloth-grip roll, he allowed his broom to dive, the bludger becoming more and more defined as he edged closer. Wrapping his legs around the length of his broomstick, he hung upside down, his eyes flickering to Mel briefly before he swung as hard as he could.

THWACK!

The ball went sailing off in the direction of the Hufflepuff beater as Jimmy righted himself on his broomstick, watching it streak towards her.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dancing ran out onto the field she hated being late but in this case she didn't have an excuse at least she'd just seen Jenn score.

In mid run she hopped on her broom and soared into the sky, "Hey Jenn, Hey Mel!" She called out to her teammates and waving to them, and checking to see if Jenn had the Qwaffle.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Overcome with happiness that they pulled their move off perfectly, Mel didn't see the bludger come right at her until it was too late. It hit her straight in the nape of the back, pushing her and her broomstick flying uncontrolably through the air, and straight for Dancing sunset

"Dancing watch out!" She screamed

(hufflepuff Chaser)

"Wha---" Dancing said.

::Dancing saw the bludger coming at her, she swore and tried the sloth-grip-roll to advoid it, but failed. It colided with her left wrist and she heard a snapping sound. Swearing again she pulled herself back into the sitting postion again.

::She cradled her broken wrist and looked around for the qwaffle, to see it being thrown from the keeper to a ravenclaw chaser. She flew forward and intercepted it with her good hand and turned around throwing it to Jenn to make the score.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn caught the quaffle Dancing passed to her and immediately ducked as a bludger narrowly missed her. Getting hit twice already was enough for her, thank you. She didn’t want to get hit a third time. Deciding to do the single version pla of the Badger Banter, Jenn flew in different directions. Jerking the broomstick to a hard left, she continued to circle opposing players as she constantly moved around the field. Circling the Ravenclaw hoops a couple of times, Jenn merely tossed the quaffle on the air and caught it again as she started to fly away from the Raven posts.

Suddenly Jenn jerked her broomstick upward, drawing everyone’s eyes up. She subtly dropped the quaffle straight into Dancing’s hands who was waiting directly beneath her.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Dancing caught the qwaffle with her right hand and zig-zagged toward the goals she slid to the left like she'd throw it through the left goal, but zagging at the last second she moved toward the right the keeper wasn't fooled but neither was Dancing.

::As the Keeper moved to save the ball, Dancing threw it through the left goal.

"Yes!" She yelled raising her good hand into the air. and doing a victory spin on her broom

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Anthony had to think quickly the action picked up rather fast. Quicker than he expected. The Hufflepuff team was out and in full force and they were on the attack. But just as they were out in force Anthony saw that the Ravenclaws had even the field. Elana and Jimmy were there to protect the chasers form the bludgers and turn the tables. Anthony gave a nod to them both as he saw them already quickly at work and took off racing to get back into the fray. Now that the action was at full force the nerves in Anthony started to boil even harder. He was the rookie on the field and the thought of this distracted him from what he needed to be doing. Bludgers were flying everywhere knocking people silly. The crowd was deafening, everyone was racing around as fast and precise as they could be. The Hufflepuffs had just scored and they were ready to attack again. Anthony determined to posses the quaffle waited for it to be put back in play. Hoviering there waitng he kept a keen eye out for bludgers and any of the other Hufflepuff chasers. When it was finally tossed into play Anthony took off as fast as he could go. Once he got near it he realized he was flying way to fast and overcompensted on his trajectory. With a quick jerk to the left he spun around so fast it almost threw him off his broom. Once back in control he snatched the quaffle secured it tightly and sped off into the middle of the pitch. Seeking the best route to the huffies goals he soon realized this would not be an easy task. So the only option was to fly as fast and careful as he could right smack into the think of the action. Just as he enterd the center of the pitch Jenn and Dani came flying right at him to steal the quaffle. "Aw Man" he said when he saw this and had to think quickly. What to do he had never been in such a positon before. The only thing he could do was try to out maneuver them and hope that a team mate would come to his aid. Lily was way out of the way and being just struck with a bludger he didnt think she could cover that much ground in time. But just as there seemed to be no hope Anthony saw Lifey zooming down below and flying up behind them. He had no choice but to get rid of the quaffle. With a quick glance to both sides he saw Jenn and Dani bearing down on him fast. So he thre the quaffle behind his back in the hopes Lifey would be there catch it. Just as he realeased it he sped off as fast as he could proud of his quick thinking. Not paying attention he flew smack dab into a bludger and was almost thrown off his broom.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

::Lifey swerved mid air to avoid collision with a bludger, panicing a little as she saw hufflepuff score. No matter, Ravenclaw would pull forward!::

::She swerved straight for Elana as she raced past for the bludger and nearly collided, this was a rough, fast game. Fortunately both pulled away in time.::

"Sorry!" ::Lifey called at the retreating back of her daughter while turning back and racing down the field.::

::She saw Anthony racing for the quaffle and gasped slightly. He was going way too fast, but he adjusted and nearly was thrown from his broom. She let out a breath of relief when she saw him regain control and gain possession of the quaffle.::

::Dani and Jenn were bearing down on Anthony quickly however, along with a bludger. Heart beating and adrenaline kicking in, Lifey swooped into a shallow dive, unnoticed by Dani and Jenn who were focused on the quaffle. Lifey flew beneath the three players before rising up behind Anthony, hoping he'd seen her.::

::Just at the last second, Anthony reverse passed in her direction. She barely had time to register the sickening thud that accompanied the bludger smacking into him as she pushed her broom towards the quaffle.::

::Jenn and Dani had scattered away as the bludger had approached and as Lifey caught the quaffle smoothly, she saw nothing but an open path towards the hufflepuff goals.::

::Flattening herself so closely to the broom that she could barely tell were she left off and the broom began, Lifey sped at breakneck speed for the opposite end of the pitch.::

::The crowd was roaring at the possession change, and she felt the cheers urge her on.::

::Almost there, Lifey faked a pass at the right hoop before diving a looping roll and up towards the left hoop, throwing the quaffle through the left hoop for ten point to ravenclaw.::

"YES!" ::Lifey yelled, circling the field in victory and high fiving Anthony.::

"Nice pass," She commented, "are you okay?" ::She asked, refferencing the bludger hit.::

(Ravenclaw Chaser)


Struggling to regain control and to stay on his broom after a vicious bludger to the chest Anthony was lightheaded and a bit sick to his stomach. Taking a few minutes to recover and checking his injury Anthony looked to see if his pass was successful. It was!! And Lifey without hesitation sped off towards the Hufflepuff goal and scored. As she returned to celebrate and high five him the pain shot through his body as he returned the gesture. "Are you okay?" she asked. "I'll be alright I think, just gotta shake it off" he replied. And with that he sped off awaiting the action to begin.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn glanced around the field for her fellow teammates. As she spotted Anthony passing the quaffle to Lifey, she moved forward to try and intercept. Jenn suddenly stopped short and visibly winced as she watched Anthony flew right into a bludger. “That’s gotta hurt. And certainly not a very kingly thing to do.” She thought outloud with an amused smile. Turning her head around, Jenn sighed as she was distracted and missed Lifey scoring a goal.

As she tucked a strand of black hair behind her ear, she caught sight of Marie giving her a slight nod. Jenn looped around a Ravenclaw chaser and caught the quaffle in the air. Just then she noticed Elana aiming a bludger toward Dancing. Tucking two fingers in her mouth, Jenn let out a loud sharp whistle causing the blond girl to turn around and narrowly missing the bludger by inches. Leaning low on her broomstick, she sped toward the Ravenclaw goals with the left hoop the keeper was in front of in her mind. As she got closer and closer, she aimed to fly straight at the keeper. At the last second, Jenn tossed the quaffle straight over her shoulder in the Hufflepuff Reverse Swerve. Grabbing her broomstick with both hands, she jerk the broomstick upwards as hard as she could. As she bit her lip in concentration, Jenn was successful in obscuring the keeper’s vision as Marie caught the quaffle behind her.

Noting too late that she jerked her broomstick too hard, Jenn starting twirling in hard circles. “Oh boy,” she muttered to herself as she held her dizzy head for a moment.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Marie nodded slightly at Jenn as she sped toward the goals, following her close behind, waiting for the right time. As Jenn tossed the quaffle to her, Marie caught it and slightly turned to her right, sending the quaffle to fly through the right hoop and grinning when it went through.

"And to say I suck so much at basketball," she told herself, shaking her head.

Then she caught sight of Jenn who was apparently spinning on herself and giggled, flying toward her team captain and grabbing the handle of her broom, forcing it to stop spinning.

"Having trouble Jenn?" she asked.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

::Lifey's head shot up as she heard Holly call to her and saw her pass the quaffle to her::

::Catching the Quaffle, Lifey swerved to avoid a bludger when "WAM"!! she swerved directly into the other. Immense pain shot through her right arm and the quaffle slipped from her grasp.::

::Cursing she went into a sharp dive after the quaffle. She saw a Hufflepuff chaser...it looked like Jenn, but Lifey's eyes were too busy watering in pain to be able to clearly tell...was racing for the falling quaffle.::

"Oh no!" ::Lifey wailed to herself. pushing her broom into a freefall towards the quaffle.::

::It worked, Lifey reached the quaffle first, and caught it with her left hand, tucking it into her side carefully.::

::Her broom however was still in freefall and seemed to be resisting her urges upward. Her muscles froze in shock and fear.::

"I can't die like this!" ::Lifey though desperately fighting back her nerves and trying to unfreeze her muscles::

::20 feet from the ground Lifey managed to jerk her broom upwards finally.::

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

::Nodding shakily to her daughter that she was alright Lifey tried to compose herself.::
::Paler, clamier, and shaking more than usual, Lifey looked up towards Holly.::

"yeah...and i wasn't scared at all" ::She called back semi sarcastically, but was still too shaken really to think clearly, until Elana yelled

"Lifey! the quaffle!!"::THis jolted Her back to her sense.::

"Right!" ::She said pointing her broom up and towards the hufflepuff hoops.::

::In a matter of seconds Lifey was feeling back to normal, feeling the air rush past her, feeling the broom handle against her body.::

::She reached the Hufflepuff goals and smirks at the keeper.::

"Going to fall for yet another fake?" ::Lifey called::

::The Keeper glared back and Lifey Faked a fake to the right, and while the keeper dove left, asuming that Lifey was faking, the quaffle was smoothly soaring through the right hoop.::

"Oh yeah!" ::Lifey grinned, flying towards Holly and ELana for high fives.:: "Ten points to ravenclaw!!!!!!!"

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Anthony hovering awaiting for play to begin sat on the left side of the pitch. Adjusting his gloves he was scanning the pitch to see where everyone was. Lily on the right side waiting for the quaffle. The huffies were flying all over the place as well as his fellow teamates. The frenzied action just fueled his determination and excitment all the more. Even the massive bludger hit was worth it in his mind. Gloves adjusted and ready for action he awaited for the action to pick up. Just then he saw Lily give the signal to him. She already had the quaffle and was flying towards the center of the pitch. With a smile on his face Anthony pushed his broom to the lmits. By now the stinging wind on his face was just a memory. Heading straight towards Lily he never relented on his speed. The nervousness no longer was there and he felt like a veteran quidditch player. Heading straight for Lily he never hesitated once.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

The wind blowing hard as he flew as fast as he could towards Lily it seemed as though it would be a devastating collision. But knowing the play he knew what was to be done. At the very last moment he gripped his broom with all his might and jerked it back out to the left just as Lily did the same with her broom. Now as he was heading towards the huffie keeper Lily was flying parallel to him. Side by side they stormed down the pitch and speeds unimaginable. The force of the wind was enough to knock anyone off their balance but he had to keep pushing. This was his chance to prove he belonged on the team. One of the captains was flying right next to him and he was not one to disappoint. Nearing the goals the moment had arrived. His robes flapping viciously in the wind ad they continued their attack. With quick slight of hand Lily delivered the quaffle into Anthonys clutches. And then faked a pass. The keeper looked extremely nervous seeing two Ravenclaws heading towards the goals at break neck speed. Just then Lily flew off to the right and whent he keeper looked her way Anthony banked to the left and reached for the quaffle and threw it with all his might for another Ravenclaw score. Energized he pumped his fist and flew off to celebrate with his team.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Mel swung her broom around and frowned. She decided to take Anthony and Lily very closely. They had some good plays, yet easy to shut down if she managed to trail them carefully.

As the quaffle was shot into play once more, Mel swung upwards, a rogue bludger seemingly un-noticed by the Ravenclaw beaters was coming right at her. Checking her position, she noticed the two chasers below her. As quick as lightning, Mel caught the bludger on the tip of her bat and worked on a move she had been practising. It became quite difficult to keep the bludger near to her, especially as the wind was growing high, yet she strived to keep it under control whilst nearing the two chasers

Welcome to the first Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff game of the new term! The first game is always exciting and there are a few players making their debut. let's all give both teams a round of applause!"
*listens to loud clapping and whisles from the crown*

And, the first one out on the pitch is our very own Ravenclaw Transfiguration Professor Life is 42! Wooohoo Lifey! Now that's a chaser who can fly like the wind! She flew up to the pitch fast and took no time getting into the swing of things. She swooped in and grabbed the quaffle and tossed it to the lovely Ancient Runes Professor/Ravenclaw quidditch captain and chaser, Lily Flower, who had just dashed onto the pitch. The queen of quidditch this gal was called for a reason. When Lily has the quaffle, you always know there is a wild and wonderful plan brewing. She did a dazzling A-Le-Oop move, a famous one for the Ravenclaw team.

Next to arrive on the pitch was one of the new chasers for the Ravenclaw team Legendary, or Anthony as some of you know him. Nancy cheered and clapped loudly for her great friend from Kentucky. He took to the skies and quickly caught the quaffle thrown by Lily. In an amazing flight he was able to get past the Hufflepuff keeper doing a fancy barrel roll move and scored for Ravenclaw!

Jennifer Williams, the lovely Hufflepuff captain and chaser, who also happened to be one of Hogwart's head girls, was the first to arrive for the Hufflepuffs. She darted out onto the field and quickly took flight into the skies. As the quaffle was thrown back into play after Anthony's amazing goal Jenn swooped into the middle of the pitch and grabbed it quickly. she carefully swerved to avoid a bludger and luckily did not get hit! She then continued on towards the Ravenclaw hoops.

The quaffle changed hands back and forth and Lily and Anthony did a spectacular trick play. No one knew Lily actually had the quaffle until she scored! I have not seen a play like that since Fred and George Weasley painted a head of lettuce red and sent the Slytherins on a wild goose chase around the pitch quite a few years ago. Now there were two men who could play quidditch!

"JIMMY!!" Nancy shouted when she saw the Ravenclaw co-captain and beater who was also the Defense against the dark arts Professor. Jimmy took to the skies a bit late, but heck with these time differences it's hard to get here on time. He took flight into the sky and gripped his bat tightly, waiting for action, that look of determination sparkling in his eyes.

Marie was the next to arrive onto the pitch. The lovely Hufflepuff chaser who was also the History of magic Professor. She darted into the sky and grabbed the quaffle from one of the Ravenclaw chasers. Nothing like getting off to a good start! She flew to the end of the pitch and scored for the Hufflepuff team. "Woohoo Marie!"

Snape Lover, the new Hufflepuff beater flew onto the pitch, a focused look showing on her face as she took flight. She flew over to Marie and handed her....lotion? Well, I am sure there was a good reason for that!

The quaffle changed a few hands and then the lovely Elana flew onto the pitch. This Ravenclaw beater who was also the other Hogwart's head girl was not one to take lightly. Her sweet and innocent appearance may catch your eye, but once that girl has a beater's bat in her hand she is as mean and wild as they come!

Back and forth the quaffle changed hands and both teams scored some pretty fantastic goals. Dancing Sunset, the Hufflepuff chaser arrived and took flight into the sky and went to her fellow chasers.

"HOLLY!!" Nancy cheered as her little sister Brunette flew onto the pitch. She wasted no time and immediately went to guard her precious hoops. Not much would get passed this extraordinary Ravenclaw keeper.

Back and forth the quaffle goes and scores for both teams were awarded. This is one exciting game! The new players are doing a great job as well as the old ones. It looks like this is going to be a great term for quidditch!

(Hufflepuff Chaser)
Jenn noticed Mel performing her Batter Beater move that she had been practicing for a while to distract Lily and Anthony for the moment. As she flew forward to try and get the quaffle, Jenn saw the quaffle get thrown back into play and descend down toward the ground. Thinking quickly, she threw her weight toward the front of the broom to speed up the momentum. As she sped toward the ground, Jenn took both hands off of the broomstick and snatched the quaffle before it hit the ground. Grabbing the broom with her right hand, she pulled her broom upwards just in time and her feet barely skimmed the grass.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Jenn loosened her grip and flew upward toward the Ravenclaw goals as Mel whacked various bludgers to clear the way for her to score a goal.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)
Glancing around, Jenn spotted Lily flying off smoothly with the quaffle beneath her arm. She leaned down low on her broom to gain speed as she sped up to try to intercept Lily before she made a goal once again. Flying underneath Lily, Jenn was able to catch up on her undetected. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to reach the quaffle without some quick thinking. Grasping her broomstick with both hands, she cautiously balanced herself to kneel up on both knees to gain some height. Jenn quickly plunged her hand up and knocked the quaffle out from under Lily’s arm. As she hopped down to sit on her broomstick once more, the foot slipped and she banged her elbow against the hard wood.

Gritting her teeth against the shooting pain up her arm, Jenn dipped her broomstick downwards to catch the fallen quaffle. As her fingers closed around the ball, she used her other hand to jerk her broomstick around and guide it toward the Ravenclaw posts. Jenn spotted a stray bludger flying around and quickly ducked to avoid getting hit once more. Yet her elbow painfully banged against the broom. Balancing the quaffle on the edge of her broomstick, she rubbed her elbow for a moment. “Being captain is more dangerous then I thought it would be.” Jenn muttered to herself with a shake of her head. Flying to the center of the pitch where Dancing was hovering, Jenn threw her the quaffle and held up 2 fingers to indicate which play to do now. Getting in position, she started to fly in tight circles to protect Dancing from various hindering obstacles that could interfere with their play.

::Dani gazed on as she watched Jenn intercept the qwaffle from Lily.

::She caught the ball that Jenn threw at her and zipped off to the goals. She zagged through a loose bludger her injurged hand hampering her only slightly. Jenn circled her tightly after singlaling the play they should do. She waitted until they were close to the Ravenclaw goals then threw the qwaffle at Jenn following the qwaffle closly and grabbing Jenns out streached hand.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn grabbed hold of Dancing’s hand and held on tightly as she grasped the quaffle close to her chest. Usually this was her favorite move with her fellow captain Ginny, Jenn shook her head and mentally dedicated the Pufferang to her. Blinking against the wind as Dancing started twirling her in rapid circles, Jenn kept a focused eye on the goal posts. As she was suddenly let go, she flew toward the golden hoops with lighting speed. Biting her lip, Jenn suddenly let go of the handle at the exact moment and threw the quaffle into the left hoop as hard as she could. Zipping back to her broomstick quickly, she flew between the left and center hoop at the exact time. Twirling her broomstick around, she silently cheered to her teammates with a huge grin on her face.

"Now let's continue this game after my head stops spinning so much and there isn't two of everyone." Jenn said with a cheeky grin as she massaged her forehead with her left hand.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)



Gritting his teeth after Jenn had just scored Anthony felt frustration builing up. He had to play harder. This was no time to be slacking. Adjusting himself on his broom he waited. The quaffle was put back in play and he took off imediately to get it. As he was reached the quaffle he reached out and snagged it out of mid-air. Securing it tightly he took off. Glancing over his shoulder one of the huffie chasers was bearing down on him fast! Thinking quickly he looked around for any help he could find. Seeing Elana he took off in her direction zig-zagging back in forth tring to shake his tail. Focusing on his objective he headed stratight towards her with the huffie chaser close behind. He signaled to her he had a follower and she whacked a bludger stratight at him. AS the bludger was heading straight for him, Anthony leaned on his broom to gain some more speed. Hoping the huffie chaser would do the same he looked back for a split second and saw that they were. The bludger bearing down on him with precision and accuracy he knew had no room for mistake.
