Weather: Bright sunny day on the quidditch pitch. Temperature in the low 70s, a strong wind picking up from the east and slightly cloudy, not a raindrop in the sky.

Notes: Welcome to the first match of the Quidditch Cup! Good luck to all players!

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Marie walked onto the Quidditch pitch quickly, thinking she was late as usual (it was really becoming a bad habit of hers), but slowed her pace when she saw that she was actually the first one there. Freezing slightly in shock, she looked around to make sure the game wasn't actually over and she'd missed it, but when she saw the referee standing in the middle with the box that contained the balls, she assumed she was actually early. "Well this is something new..." she mumbled to herself.

She adjusted her uniform, which she'd put on hastily, tying her shoelaces correctly and pulling her hair back in a ponytail before grabbing her gloves and putting them on. She then grabbed her broom and hopped on it, kicking the ground and flying up in the air, sighing happily when she felt the strong wind blowing. She started flying around the pitch as a warm up, waiting for the others to arrive.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta walked calmly onto the pitch, her eyes glancing round for her team. She stopped dead, her broom, nice and shiny, thanks to an eager first year, dropped to the ground with a clatter. Her Beater's Bat, its new titanium coating sparkling in the sunlight dropped to the pitch, missing her left foot by inches.

There in the sky was MarieC, words failed Etta as she stared dumbstruck at the normally late chaser. shaking her head quickly, Etta retrieved her equipment, hopped onto her broom and shot off into the sky with a bit more speed then she meant to use.

"Ohh," she gasped as she spun in the air. Hoping that her team actually made a complete appearance, Etta turned and did a lap of the pitch, eager to put into use her newly defined quidditch skills. "Come on REF! I wanna hit something!" she shouted down to the referree who gave her a disproving look.

"old fuddy duddy." Etta muttered with an angelic smile on her face.:

(Gryff Beater)

:: Swift was running down the corridor. Of course, not a great start to the first match of the term, but she had forgotten that she was to play.... even though she hadn't participated in try-outs.... oops...

She skidded into the Gryffindor locker room, surprised to see the team still there. "Well, what are we waiting for?? Let's go kick some badger butt!"

She was the first Gryffindor out, and looked up to see Etta and Marie already hovering above the pitch. Grabbing her broom, she jumped onto it, and flew towards the two Hufflepuffs, Beater's bat in hand, looking as though she would collide with them and hit them.

She did. Almost. In the biggest tacklehuggle you'd ever seen.

"MUUUM!!! ETTIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she squealed, her arms around their necks. Pulling back and grinning, she gasped, "Hi!!" Grinning yet again at the confused looks on their faces, she continued," I love you, okay? BUT... I'm sorry, but house comes before home!"

Grinning once again, Swift let go, and flew off in a lap around the pitch. Boy it feels good to be back here again, she thought. She came to a stop opposite Marie and Etta, pumped and ready for the match.

"GO GRYFFINDOR!"::

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber ran unto the field with a light cringe, this season it was more important to be on time then the last. Luckily she wasn't that late and still managed to be the forth one there. "I'm not gonna complain about that, forth is better then what I made it last season," she mumbled as she got unto her broom.

Once in the air she headed over to the goalpost and circles them once, before coming to a stop and waiting for the other players. She grinned upon hearing Swiftie and the crowd's reaction to her. She frowned as she noticed the wind, she'd fallen off her broom a few more times then she'd like to have, but oh well maybe as Keeper she'd be luckier.

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

June tied her hair up using a crimson Gryffindor ponytail holder and hummed along to one of her favorite songs, Defying Gravity, from the musical: Wicked. She grabbed her broom and checked her robes and hair. This was it: the first game of the season, versus Hufflepuff. This was also June’s first game as Captain, and she was determined to make her fellow Gryffindors proud, leading them towards victory. Holding her broom down by her side, June walked out of the locker room and onto the field. Swifty and Amber were already there, flying in the air, warming up. Good.

June bit her lip, more than a little nervous. She wasn’t used to the whole ‘Captain’ thing and hoped she’d do well at her job. Throwing a leg over her broom, June kicked off and burst into the air. In her right hand, she held her new Beater’s bat and waved to her two teammates already in the air. “Hey guys!” she cried, grinning. Some of the anxiety had disappeared, now that she was in the air. Flying was like second nature to her, after being a Chaser during the previous term. “Ready to win this game?!” June began warming up as well, flitting through the air, performing loops, flying upside down, corkscrews, and with no hands. Switching to Beater from Chaser hadn’t been much of an adaptation. In both cases, you had to fly with, usually, only one hand. June looked around herself. Two Hufflepuffs were flying around, Etta and Marie. She nodded to them. June switched her bat from her right hand to her left and back again, impatently waiting for the game to start.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Having recovered from her little sister's tacklehuggle, Etta re-ajusted her robes and smiled at June.

"Hey just pretend your not Captain until you need to shout at your team," she grinned and turned quickly to shout at her none exsistant team. Shrugging, Etta rolled in mid air before doing a 18 turn and watching the referee as the balls were about to be released.

Inhaling deeply, Etta dived hard for the first bludger, which incidently had her name written on it and the hufflepuff house song inscribed around the middle. Grinning, Etta performed the Huffle shuffle shuffling down her broom slightly so she could perform the Rotating Power Beat.

Turning three times as fast as she could, looking like a discus player on a broom, Etta hit her dazzling bat into the Blduger, sending it rocketting directy towards the Gryffindor Keeper.

Not bothering to watch the impact Etta spun in the air and waved at the hufflepuff fans.:

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Iiiiiit's showtime!", Cris yelled as she ran out of the lockers, a shoe still in her hand, not caring about it, instead, extremely excited about the oncoming game. She hopped onto her broom and was about to soar into the air, when she heard Madam Hooch shout: "I haven't seen any half barefooted seekers in my whole life, missy, so do us and your team the honour of at least putting both your shoes on for the game!". "Oh, my shoe! .. right!", Cris thought, and discovered that she was still holding it in her hand. She hastily put it on, tied her laces and was high up in the air the next minute.

Flying by the Hufflepuff team, she gladly noticed that there were only two members there yet, none of them the Seeker. She waved to Marie and Ettie, flew a round to cheer say hi to the rest of the Gryffie team members - Switfy, Amby and June - then positioned herself somewhere higher than the rest, in order to be able to keep a lookout for the snitch. Annoyed by the sun in her face, she flew to the other side of the pitch, at same time thinking it would be easier to spot the Snitch if it glittered in the sunlight.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

She couldn't beleive it. It was her first quidditch match ever and she was late! Katie ran through the empty locker room and on to the feild tying up her long hair as she went. She nearly tripped over her untied shoes as she ran onto the pitch and looked up at the sky. Almost everybody else was there.

Katie swung her leg over her new broom and kicked of hard into the air swerving to find her teammates and get started.

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

June nodded at Etta. “Thanks,” she said, grinning at the Hufflepuff before she flew away and scanned the air. Then, the balls were released. June tensed, clutching her bat tight in her hand. She saw a bludger heading towards Etta and June flew closer, her bat held at the ready, waiting to see what the Hufflepuff would do. She blinked as Etta shot the bludger towards Amber.

“I’ve got it Amby!” June cried, leaning forward, urging her broom to go faster. She passed the bludger and waited in front of it and held her bat out, ready to perform the Roaring Rebound. The bludger reached a point and June swung her bat forward, with all of her strength, hitting the ball to her left. Then, June quickly raced after it, and hit it again, towards her right this time. She flew after it and slammed her bat into it one last time, hitting it towards Marie. The bludger flew towards the Hufflepuff with even faster speed than it usually would have, because of all the force it had gained from the multiple rebounds. June turned around and winked at Amber.

Then, June turned around and saw Cris and Katie in the air. “Cris!!!” June cried, flying over and hugging her sister. “Katie!!!!!!!!” June squealed once more and hugged her sis. Suddenly, June saw a bludger heading towards Katie’s head. She immediately sprang into action. June smashed the bludger away from her sister and sent it spinning in the opposite direction, towards Marie. June bit her lip. She hoped her friend wouldn’t get hurt… too much…

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Ginny finally got her black and yellow Quidditch boots on the right foot, and hobbled out onto the pitch. From the ground she could see that the game had more or less started, and she cursed herself for losing her pair of Quidditch pants-Harry ((Potter) had stolen hers in payback for her "stealing" his. So now she was wearing his and had belted them so as she wouldn 't flash the spectators with her roaring badger underwear. Kicking off hard from the ground, she soared over to Marie, who appeared to be the only other chaser there. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Etta, the beater and Captain of the team waving to the Hufflepuff fans-of which there were quite a few.

She grabbed the Quaffle-which the referee had just tossed into the air, thus releasing the final Quidditch ball that was needed for the game to really begin. She had almost reached Marie-who was all the way across the Quidditch pitch, typically-when the Snitch flew right up to her and settled in the air in between her eyes. Crossing her eyes, she frowned. "No no little buddy. You need to go near Etta!" Inhaling deeply, Ginny pulled her head back slightly and released a great puff of air that sent the snitch spiralling towards Etta. "Huffle PUFF!" she giggled, watching as the disoriented snitch flew this way and that as it almost drunkenly made its way to Etta. She was slightly out of breath when she finally reached Marie with a grin. "Up for the Pufferang? Initiation for new Chasers." The "Pufferang" was a Huffle patented move where one Chaser holds the Quaffle while the other Chaser grabs onto the Quaffle-holding Chasers hand. The Hand-Holding-Chaser than spins the Quaffle-Chaser around and boomerangs her to the opposing team's hoop, allowing her to release the Quaffle and score. It wasn't really an intiation rite. But Marie didnt have to know that.

A whirring noise caused her to turn, her eyes widening as she saw the Bludger zipping towards them. "DUCK AND COVER, PEOPLE!" she yelled, yanking Marie down with her as they flattened against their brooms in the "Badger Hide"

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta watched mesmerised as the Snitch fluttered into her face. A menacing grin smothered her pale angelic (HA!) features, her arm whipped back, her bat gleemed in the sunlight as she swung hard, counting to five she allowed herself one naughty moment.

"BADGER WHIZZ!" she squealed smashing her bat into the snitch and sending it rocketting into the sunlight until i vanished.

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

June glared as Ginny got the quaffle. She flew towards the Hufflepuff, ready to get the quaffle… wait… quaffle? June sighed and realized that she wasn’t a Chaser anymore. She watched the two Hufflepuffs duck the first bludger and June grinned wickedly as her 2nd bludger headed towards them. June raced after the 1st bludger and aimed for the quaffle clutched in Gin’s arm. “Come on…” June muttered through gritted teeth. She brought back her arm and WHAM!!! Hit the ball towards the gleaming red quaffle.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

:Etta raced June's bludger
, laying flat on her back o her broom, with nothing to support her, Etta interecpted the Bludger and smiled as she realised she was mere yards from amber.

"TAKE THAT!" she shouted, sending the bludger straight for the Gryffindor's face. Almost falling off her broom Etta beamed up at the Hufflepuff supporters. "Now thats What i call a Lazy Badger!"

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

Eek! June gasped as Etta intercepted the bludger she’d aimed at Marie and blinked as the bludger went flying towards Amber! June checked her other bludger and it was right on its course for Gin’s quaffle. June raced towards her Gryffindor friend and flew in front of her. “I’ll get it,” June said, smiling. Beating a beater was a lot different from being Chaser, but it was just as fun and exciting. Bringing her bat back, June turned to face the bludger head on. She hit it to her left and kept batting it back and forth, back and forth, in the Lion’s Line, as she flew forward behind Ginny. June finally hit it with force towards her bludger flying towards the quaffle. June smirked as her bludger connected with the other, giving the first a burst of speed.

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber watched the game, carefully keeping her eye on the quaffle if it should come her way. She heard Etta yell and looked toward her instinctively. When she saw the bludger coming toward her she ducked and screamed. Letting out a sigh of relief when she realized that June hit the bludger away.

"So much for being safer as a Keeper," she mumbled. "Thanks June!" she called as she began circling the hoops again.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

She squeaked when something collided against the Quaffle under her arms, causing it to shoot out from her grasp and begin careening towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. Curses...Can't have that. she thought as she hurried after the Quaffle, regaining it within a few quick moments-and after dodging yet another bludger. Luckily her, the broom she was riding was the new Moonstar, which was very fast, not as fast at the Firebolt, of course, but it tended to handle turns better. This was something she valued, because, as a Chaser, speed wasn't always necessary important-the ability to dodge bludgers and still manage to catch and throw quaffles was.

She swerved by Etta on her way back to Marie, struck with inspiration. She quietly muttered the words "Seeker fake out," as she did, glad that no Gryffindor was in earshot to hear what she had said. She then flew in a circle around Marie, blessedly away from the Gryffindors, repeating the words she had said to Etta. Quickly, she tossed the Quaffle at Marie as she went into position behind Etta, waiting for the right moment.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Marie flew around the pitch, waiting for a moment to catch the Quaffle, grinning when Gin did it. She flew toward the goals, trying to position herself somewhere where it would be useful in case she needed to pass, glad to see there were no Gryffindors around her. When Ginny came flying to her however, she raised an eyebrow and listened to what she had to say.

Marie nodded at Ginny's words, catching the Quaffle and tucking it firmly under her arm. She then flew a little toward the goals before tossing the Quaffle into the air behind her. "Catch!" she yelled, throwing the Quaffle at Etta.

(Hufflepuff Beater0

:Etta caught the quaffle and began to fly directly towards the goals. Her Beaters Bat tucked safely down her robes she pushed forward faster, steering her broom to the left Etta grinned at amber.:

June sprang into action, the instant Marie tossed up the quaffle and shouted. No. June would NOT let that happen. She held her Beater’s bat high over her head and raced in the direction that a bludger had just zoomed off towards. She reached it and flew alongside it for a few seconds. “Rolling Rotation!” she shouted and quickly did a flip in the air, on her broom. When she was flipping, June concentrated on the bludger. Seconds before she was back in her original position, June’s bat smacked into the bludger, sending it careening towards the quaffle in the air. It knocked it towards the quaffle in Etta's arms and June raced after it, determined to cover Amber.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

To herself, Ginny realized she had misnamed the move she was currently using. It should really be the "Beater Fake Out" Oh well, her teammates had gotten the point, hadn't they? For a moment, she feared that the Quaffle and bludger were going to collide, messing up the whole plan. Luckily, the Quaffle just missed it, perhaps by mere seconds. With a relieved smile, she launched herself up, she tucked the Quaffle under her arms and shot towards the right side of Amber, flying in a complex little zigzag pattern. When she reached the goalposts, she noticed that June seemed to be flying towards Amber, which hopefully would block Amber's few of her as she pulled her arm back and sent the Quaffle flying through the hoop she was hovering in front of

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

:Etta cheered as Hufflepuff scored and quicly aced across the pitch towards a bludger. Rounding on it quickly, she flattened herself as well as she could against her broom and and swung her arm five times, as if she were about to throw a cricket ball, Etta smacked her bat into the Bludger and watched with wide innocent eyes as it flew straight at the distracted Amber.

Jumping up quickly into a sitting postion, Etta sat and watched hoping for some pain to be inflcited on the opposing team.:

Glaring at the Hufflepuff Chaser, June turned to the Gryffindor Keeper. “It’s okay Amber,” she said, shrugging and smiling. “I’m sure you’ll get it next time.” June glared as Etta sent a bludger at her friend. That really wasn’t very smart, considering the fact that June was right there. She rolled her eyes and firmly placed both hands on her bat. Swinging it to the left, June backhanded the bludger and sent it zooming towards Ginny. Vengeance was so sweet. June grinned wickedly and waved at Amber before flying off to find another bludger.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

Slightly annoyed by the fact that the Snitch wasn't yet in sight - not that she had ever seen it so early in the games, but whatever, she felt impatient today - so she started whistling and dangling her feet in the air to the rhythm of the Flintstones intro music (that is what usually comes to her mind when she's out of any decent preoccupation). She was almost at the end of the tune, when the sound od her whistle was interrupted by another sound - a kind of soft bump, also associated with a blow on the back part of her leg. "What on earth was that?", she wondered and turned around. To her utter shock and surprise, she saw a shiny little object being flying away from her and clasped her hand to her forehead - she mustve just accidentally hit the snitch! She swerved around as quickly as she could, but obviously not fast enough, as she lost it. Swearing under her breath, she squinted her eyes in a last attempt of catching sight of the desired object, but it was nowhere to be seen. She murred and proceeded keeping a lookout, this time paying attention not to dangle her feet so imprudently.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca cursed as she smacked the heel of her hand to the center of her forehead. Of course, she was late for her first ever official Quidditch Game. Sure, she'd substituted for a beater once, but she'd never actually been on the team before! What a stupid way for her to start off the new term. Bringing her hand to the back of her head, she pulled her already pulled back bangs adn the rest of her thick, wavy brown hair into a loose bun on the back of her head. She shook her head slightly as she ran toward the pitch, letting the looser pieces of bangs fall into her eyes. Tucking them behind her ear with her free hand, she held her broom tightly under her arm witht the other. Finally, she reached the pitch. She made a mental note to set her alarm earlier from then on.

Becca hopped on to her broom in hurry, sliding right off and on to the ground. She hadn't even been seven feet off the ground and she'd already fallen! Oh blame the clumsiness that she always seemed to possess. Standing back up, she took a deep breath and climbed back on to her broom and kicked up. she did not fall that time (thank goodness!) but flew semi-gracefully upward. Becca's eyes glanced around quickly, taking everything in. Her eyes drifted toward the scoreboard. Drats! Hufflepuff had scored. Oh well, she thought quickly, gives me more of a reason to push myself to score!

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

The breath was knocked out of Ginny as the bludger smashed into her foot. "Owwww!" she screamed, her face screwed up in pain. On cue, Madam Pomfrey bustled up towards her-she had landed on the ground in the midst of her scream of pain. With a sigh, she forced Ginny to drink a vial of potion as she began casting a highly detailed spell over her foot.

"First match of the season, then, Miss Ginny?The color, which had drained from her face after the break, returned to the teenager's face as she finished her potion.

"Oh, you know me, PomPom. Play hard or don't play at all! Did you get the bone mending potion in Cherry? It's delicious! Well, must go back to the game. Points to score, you know." she cheerfully said as she flew back up to join the match. Madam Pomfrey muttered something about 'Hufflepuffs' before storming back to the Healers' tent.

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

June winced as she saw her bludger crash into Ginny’s foot. That looked like it’d really hurt. She smiled faintly in relief as the Hufflepuff was mended and got back into the game. Although she was glad that Ginny hadn’t been too hurt, June was also thankful for the few moments of extra time that her team had gained because of the Hufflepuff’s injury. Looking below her, June saw Becca in the air.

Yes! Another Chaser on the pitch! Now, the Gryffindor Chasers matched the number of the Hufflepuffs. June looked around her and patted her trusty Beater’s bat. Where were the bludgers? June’s hair suddenly flew up in the wind as a particularly strong draft hit her. Tucking a few stray strands behind her hair, June looked down and waved at Becca... and noticed the bludger heading straight towards her. June wasn’t sure she’d be able to get there in time. “Watch out Rebecca!” June screamed downwards, as she dived, hoping the ‘Re’ would get her friend’s attention.

The bludger was heading for her back. June dived even faster, holding her bat out in front of her. The bludger was almost at the Chaser. In desperation, June pushed Becca out of the way, hoped she wouldn’t fall off her broom, and struck the bludger with the tip of her bat. It wasn’t enough. The ball rebounded off at an angle and shot towards June’s shoulder. She didn’t have time to react… and screamed as a sickening crunch could be heard and bolts of pain shot down her arm.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca's head snapped up, eyes narrowed in an evil looking way as she heard june call out to her using the name 're'becca. Her eyes became wide as saucers, leaving the evil look behind as she realized, too late what her friend was trying to warn her of. She felt herself being crashed into by her Quidditch captain. Becca half screamed, half gasped as she felt herself falling slightly. She tightened her legs around her broom. A sigh of relief, mixed with the pain from straining her legs that much escaped her lips. Reaching up slightly hesitantly, as if afraid that the moment she grabbed with her hands on to the broom, her legs would give up and fall, leaving her arms with all of the strain. However, when she grabbed the seemingly skimpy piece of broom, Becca was astounded to find she could pull herself up with ease. Back in the sitting position, she looked to the person who had knocked her out of the way.

She gasped as she saw June's arm look so limp. She must've got hit in the shoulder, Becca thought, cringing will she did so. Ouch. That had to of hurt. "Are you ok?" Becca called, even though she knew it to be a stupid question.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie was so glad her teams beaters intercepted the bludger. She was nervous enough as it was. She had to get her mind on the game. She watched as June got so into the game she didn't know what position she played and the level of play had such ferocity she was awestruck. But it was time for her to prove herself.

She took of towards Ginny who had the quaffle but wasn't sure how to get a hold of it. She hoped someone would send a bludger soon.

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

June bit her lip in pain as she slouched on her broom. "Yeah," she said, smiling weakly, and nodded to Becca. "Now go get that quaffle, girl!" June grinned and winced as she moved her shoulder and pangs of pain erupted from it. She knew that she should go get it looked after, but as she searched the skies with her eyes, June saw Katie nearing Ginny, who had the quaffle. June painstakingly and carefully switched her bat from her right hand to her left and slowly flew upwards, towards a bludger that was hovering in midair, as if it didn't know where to go.

June raised her bat and SLAM! The bludger rocketed off her bat and flew towards Ginny. Not bothering to see if it hit the Hufflepuff, June flew downwards and sat, hovering in midair a few inches above the grass, while Madam Pomfrey fussed around her. "Quidditch... such a dangerous sport," the witch muttered as she tsk tsked. Finally, after casting several spells and making June drink a foul-tasting potion, Madam Pomfrey was done. "Off you go!" she said digruntledly. June nodded in thanks and soared up into the air, returning her bat to her right hand. Her shoulder felt so much better now.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Quietly swearing under her breath, Streams rushed onto the Quidditch pitch, keeping a firm hold on her broomstick and golden beater's bat which she had permanently borrowed from Etta. A strong wind ruffled her hair and she took note of this, realizing she would have to be careful with her speeds when the wind blew her way. Or perhaps she could use the wind to her advantage...a musing expression on her face, she flung a leg over her broomstick and took off, rising quickly into the air. Winking at her teammates, she did a fast lap around the pitch to orient herself with the game and check exactly where all the bludgers were.

(Hufflepuff Beater and Captain)

:Etta winced as she saw Ginny get injured, anger sweled in her chest as she rounded on the opposing team, no miss nice girl ever again she vowed, speeding at top speed, Etta pushed her broom forward, dropping a foot in the air as she approahed a Bludger.

Kicking off her socks and shoes, Etta umped onto her broom and curled her toes around the stick for support and balance as she leaned back into a one handed crab and spray forward, her body flew like a rubber band through the air, her arm out strectehed, without a care in the world for the fact she was hurtling through the air without her broom, Etta smashed her bat into the Bludger, sending it zooming straight at Becca of Gryffindor.

The speed of the bludger was so fast that if you blinked you would miss it, the ball was not visible only the whoosing sound as it hurtled towards its target.

"HuffleFling," squealed Etta excitedly until she realised she was dropping down to earth a bit to fast and rather dangerously. "Uh oh spagetti O's," Screamed Etta as she whizzed towards to the ground and pain.:

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amber kept her eyes intently on the quaffle, but also looking around for anymore bludgers that could come her way. It seemed a lot of them were coming toward her today, she kind of missed being beater now. Atleast then she'd have been able to hit the bludgers away from her. "Oh well, I like my new job," she said to herself with a shrug.

She smiled as she watched the quaffle, looking to see where it would go. She looked around once to try and keep tabs on the bludgers, she saw Etta approch one and hit it toward Becca, at least she thought it was Becca. She couldn't be sure though, but better safe then sorry. "Becca look out!" she yelled.

She glanced back toward Etta and cringed. She needed help too, she left her goals and raced down trying to catch the Hufflepuff beater before she hit the ground.

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie caught the ball the bludger knocked out of Ginny's hands and shouted her thanks at the beaters, but she wasn't sure they could here her. There were alot more injuries in this game then she anticipated, having never played before she thought as she sped of towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. She hoped she would be as good as she was in practice.

(Gryffindor Beater and Captain)

June grinned as she saw her bludger knock the quaffle out of Ginny’s arms and gave Katie a thumbs-up as she caught it. But then, June’s smile left her face and a horrified look appeared on it. Her mouth made an ‘O’ as she stared, seeing a bludger racing at full speed towards Becca. “Becca!!!” she screamed, “DUCK!!!!!!!!” June knew that she wouldn’t be able to get there in time, even if she tried; the bludger was going too fast. Looking around helplessly, June saw Streams in the game. Great, just what she needed. Another Hufflepuff Beater.

June spotted a bludger a few feet below her and quickly dived. As she dived, June clasped her legs around her broom and biting her lip, quickly swung upside down. Eek… everything looked so… different… And there was a big black ball right in front of her! June quickly remember her play, the Upside-down Smash, and brought her bat up above her head. SMASH!!! Her bat hit the bludger and hit it upwards, towards Ginny, the Hufflepuff Chaser. June quickly righted herself and took a few deep breaths to stop the reeling in her head.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Still falling, still screaming, Etta saw June hit a bludger towards Ginny. With her mind completely clear for once, Etta did the only thing she could.

"LEAVE MY BADGERS ALONE!" she screamed, swinging her Bat and sending it flying through the air. The bat his the bludger smashing it straight towards Amber whilst the Titanium bat flew directly towards the head of Katie. Sighing happily Etta looked down, a scream caught in her throat as she gulped it down she was feet from the ground and falling at such a speed the Great Wise Dancing Badger would have been s proud of her. Closing he eyes, Etta braced for impact.:

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca was watching katie, getting ready to go with her down to the Hufflepuff goal posts when she heard June's yell to her. Another bludger?!? At the moment, Becca realized she'd better move, or something very bad was going to happen. However, she was too late. The bludger rammed full speed into her left side. She gripped her broom tighter, afraid that she was going to fall off (something very likely.) Her grip made her side ache even more. She glared as the bludger headed off in a different direction, it's damage to her already done.

Becca looked over at her side. That was sure going to leave a bruise....and probably even more pain later that night. Gritting her teeth, she leaned foward and sped off toward the Hufflepuff goal posts to assist Katie. Of course, when she saw something heading straight for Katie's head. "Watch out!" She yelled out franitcally.

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-captain (Please pretend that before, I always wrote co-captain too XD))

Her bludger had been deflected… right towards Amber! June frowned but quickly bent low on her broom. She urged it faster and faster… come on! She had to keep her friend from being killed by a bludger! Where would the Gryffindors be if there was no Keeper? Narrowing her eyes, June held her bat at the ready and skidded (in the air) to a stop a few feet in front of Amber. She clasped both hands around her bat and when the bludger reached her, smashed it towards Ginny once more, doing the Bludger Backbeat, where she turned to face Amber and hit the bludger behind her.

That done, June turned around and saw something that was definitely NOT a bludger heading towards Katie. No no no!!!!! June quickly dived to save her friend and when she was a couple of feet above and in front of the Gryffindor, switched her bat from her right to her left hand, and deftly caught the bat in her empty right hand. June nodded towards Katie and grinned wickedly. Now she had two bats, although she had never been that good hitting with her left hand. Flying upwards, June spotted a bludger and brought both bats down on it, using the Single version of the Dopplebeater Defense. The force of two bats sent the bludger flying as quickly as possible on a straight path towards Marie.

(Gryffindor Chaser)

Becca would've have clapped if she wasn't preoccupied with gripping her broom so she wouldn't scream from the pain that was still in her side. June had managed to save both Amber and Katie. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. Still speeding with Katie toward the hufflepuff goal posts, just in case Katie needed her assistance.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Seeker)

"Oh holy crap!" Jazmo shouted, running frantically around the Hufflepuff locker room. Finally finding a random pair of shoes that she hoped were her size, she pulled them onto her feet and made a mad dash toward the Quidditch Pitch.

With her new broom in hand she took a deep breath, threw her right leg over the broom, and shot off with a powerful kick from the ground.

"Now this games really starting."[/i]

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie looked to her side and saw Becca right beside her speeding towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. She had a clear shot and with Becca nodding her encouragement, Katie took a shot at the goal posts and watched as the quaffle went soaring through the air. Then with a sense of mounting anticipation she watched as it went hurling thtought the center hoop. She had scored!

(Gryffindor Beater and Co-Captain)

Yes! Katie had scored!!!!!! June laughed with sheer delight and smiled at her friend. “Great job!” June shouted. Looking at the two bats in her hand, June mad a face. What would she do with Etta’s? It would be very unfair for the Hufflepuffs if one of their Beater’s didn’t have a bat… June rolled her eyes. There was only one thing to do. She flew over to Etta and grudgingly handed her her titanium bat. That done, June switched her own bat from her left to her right hand and looked around for some bludgers to pound.

There! One of them was circling the Hufflepuff goal posts! June leaned on her broom and flew across the pitch. She waved to Katie when she passed the Gryffindor. When June reached the bludger, she waved her bat high above her head three times in a circle: the Gryffie Gravity! After waving the bat around, June swung it down and it connected with the bludger with more force than usual, owing to the extra centripetal force. June watched with a satisfied smile as the bludger hurtled down, straight towards the Jazmo, the Hufflepuff Seeker!

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Scowling as Katie scored, she regained posession of the quaffle. She flew over to Marie, absentmindedly tossing the Quaffle to herself as she went. "So, I have another idea for a move. Are you feeling up to the 'Huffle Puff a Boo'? We'll have to go find Jenn, but I'm sure she'll turn up...soonish. I hope" she chuckled.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn batted away the lone school barn owl flying around her head. “Quit it! I’m late for the game! Whatever news you have from home will just have to wait.” She muttered as she stuffed the letter into her back pocket. Swinging her right leg over the broomstick, Jenn glanced up and cringed at the sight of the game already in progress. “This is a great way to start the first game of the season if I do have to say so myself.” She sarcastically said out loud. Flying high in the background, she pretended to have been in the game all along when she noticed Streamers shaking her head at her. Giving an innocent apologetic smile, and flew over to Ginny with the quaffle and joined Marie in hovering above her.

Looking around, she locked eyes with her fellow Chasers and nodded as they all had the same idea in their heads. Of course as Hufflepuffs were all brilliant and mind readers…didn’t you know? (lol) Swooping forward, Jenn nudged her broomstick forward and caught the quaffle from Ginny’s grasp. With a look up she waited for Marie to come closer as she secretly dropped the quaffle to her thighs. As she held her arms closely as though grasping the quaffle, she made a move forward to “pass it” to Marie.

(Hufflepuff Reserve Seeker)

Jazmo's head snapped to the direction the loud whirring noise was coming from. Her eyes widened as she realized that the bludger coming from directly above would hit her no matter what, unless...

Jazmo urged her broom to flip: She was now hanging upside down, her breath caught. Imagine the shape as a sort of "I", one vertical line.

Slowly rocking back and forth, Jazmo hoped to dear god that this plan would work. Gritting her teeth, she sensed the bludger finally in reaching point, and gave one more mighty swing of her upside down broom.

It struck powerfully into the bludger, causing it to propel towards the ground at an awesome speed. Upon impact, the bludger ricocheted off the ground and sped full throttle towards Katie.

"Oh dear god," Jazmo finally breathed in the breath she had been holding for so long. No she only hoped that the other player wouldn't be too hurt...

Gryffindor Chaser

Katie hugged June as she scored, and zoomed around the pitch in a vitcory lap. She was so excieted, she was so glad she was on the team, quidditch was so much fun. She then zoomed around and saw two Hufflepuffs talking with the quaffle, she couldn't tell who they were from here but she was oging to find out what they were up to

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Marie nodded at Ginny and grinned as she saw Jenn coming onto the pitch, waving at her from where she was. She then flew around with the girls, looking closely as Gin tossed the Quaffle to Jenn and then Jenn gave it to her. Just as she did, Marie started going left and right with her broom as though blocking the two girls behind from anybody else's view. She wrapped her arms tightly around what seemed like the Quaffle and flew toward the goals with the two girls on her left side as she went toward the Right hoop, clutching to her broom tightly with one hand, her arm still securing the Quaffle tightly into place.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

The Hufflepuff sighed in relief when she saw Jenn come onto the field. Within a few moments, the Huffle Puff a Boo was in motion. Jenn and Marie took the Quaffle from her, and began doing the rotating motions to the right around each other. Within a few moments, she had regained posession of the Quaffle, and attempted making herself as small as possible on her broom to prevent a smaller bullseye target.

Every few seconds they would switch, making them a very difficult target for bludgers and Gryffindors. As they approached the goal posts, she couldn't help but smile to herself. This was quite a complicated play, and they were performing it magnificently. Tightening her grip on the Quaffle even more, Ginny prepared for what came next.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

After secretly dropping the quaffle down her leg into Ginny’s arms, Jenn glanced at her two Chasers again and smiled. Hunching forward in the exact same position as though they were all grasping the quaffle in their hands, she sped up her broom to fly straight toward the center hoop.

Flying around, she switched places with Marie for a few seconds before looping around to change with Ginny in a quick blur. As they neared the goal posts, Jenn flew back into the center hoop way once more. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Ginny doing the same toward the far right hoop, and Marie in the far left hoop. [/b]

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Streams, who had been idly watching a butterfly and wondering why it was so high up, shrieked as she saw her fellow huffie beater plummeting to the ground. "Does NO ONE care if she smashes to bits?!" she screamed, and then plunged toward her as fast as she could go. But she wouldn't make it in time...thinking quickly, streams conjured a huge mattress directly beneath etta, then conjured a trampoline on top of it. Now, even if the trampoline springs didn't hold, they would soften the blow and there would be a mattress underneath...she had mere seconds before ettie crashed. Sighing, she Accioed Ettie's broom because it was hurtling through the air and distracting everyone.

A bludger whooshed past and nearly hit her, she did a quick loop to avoid it, hoping that ettie was back in the game soon so that she could HIT bludgers rather than dodge them!
