Spring Dance

Ginny Weasley walked into the great hall where the Spring dance was being held. Her long red hair was tumbling down around her shoulders. She wore a short black gown with spaghetti straps. The dress did wonders for her petite figure, accenting every curve. She wore black sandals that showed off her painted pink toenails.

She walked across the room and headed towards Krista who she saw talking with another girl. "Hi Krista." She said happily. "Have you seen Harry? He is supposed to be coming tonight." She smiled at the meer thought of him being here, dancing with her. She always had such a good time with him. So strong and so incredibly handsome.

"Eh... Cats are okay. You're right about that. Don't worry, he's always like that." he says to Dani.

Kyo forgets about Yuki's remark momentarily, gaping at him upon realizing that he mentioned his curse.

"We're not supposed to tell anyone, remember? Or have you already forgotten?"

"Sorry to inform you Kyo, but I already know." Dani said

"It's not as if you're not rude back." He turned his head annoyedly.

"You kno-" He frowned, Kyo mentioning the curse. "I should explain that. Miss Dani crashed into me...and, things didn't go well. I had to tell her afterwards of course." He sighed.

"But," His tone becoming cold and almost furious again, "You probably would've had the same thing happen to you." He crossed his arms.

"Wha?!" He glares at her incredulously, unable to believe his ears.

"Way to go, moron! How many other people have you told?!" He shouts at Yuki, face growing redder by the minute.

He scowled, "Quit shouting, Damn cat." He glanced over at Dani but looked back at Kyo with fire in his eyes. "No one, it wasn't intentional to tell anyone, Dani-san is the only one that knows and it should stay like that." He paused, lowering his tone. "So long as you don't make any mistakes."

He sighed, the anger slowly draining out of him. "I'm planning to go see him over the spring break. I'll let him know everything." He looked down.

"Keep your voice down or the whole school will know!" She shouted back at him

Kyo looks down, looking like a child who'd just been scolded.

"Yeah, well, it's kind of a big deal..." After obviously calming down a little, he continues, "I wouldn't go see him now if I were you. He was pretty surly when I left."

"Didn't you hear me? Or have your ears gone shot as well as your brain?" He smirked at him and kept his arms crossed. "I told you I'm seeing him over the spring break." He narrowed his eyes. 'Unfortunately...' he added mentally.

"Of course I heard you!" he snarls, "I just figured I'd warn you that he won't want to see your face around there!"

Dani rolled her eyes, when her brothers used to fight like this, she had learned to stay out of it.

"Can't you two get along?"

Rhia's voice came from behind her. "Obviously not." Rhia had gone to the Gryffindor common room, but her conscience had urged her to go back and reconcile with Yuki.

Yuki didn't really have a response to that. Of course Akito would want to see him. He was never allowed to leave his side when he still lived at the main house. He looked up at Kyo almost as if to say 'Sorry.' but of course that would never come out vocally. He felt sorry for Kyo...sometimes, but right now, he was annoying him to death.

"Well...anyways." He gestured to Dani. "This is Dani. She's the only one who knows, and has sworn she wouldn't tell anyone, and, I believe her." He smiled over at Dani but it vanished and his mouth turned into a firm line when he looked back at Kyo. He looked back over at Dani and Rhia, her words almost shocked him.

"No...I've tried, once, but it's always been like this." He finished, starring at Rhia.

Dani sighed, "Well boys will be boys, but of course these two fight alot more."

"Yes yes my name is Dani, it's nothing big." She said holding out her hand for him to shake

"Yeah... Guess I have to trust her, too."

Though Kyo had looked calm for a moment, the previous redness lept back into his face once Rhia came up.

"What's the big idea, just butting in like that?! What do you know?"

"You!" Dani pushed his shoulder, "Should be nicer, and maybe you wouldn't be so mad all the time!"

He flipped his head downwards, looking embarrassed for Rhia-san. "Leave her alone, she's a friend of mine. Kyo." He resisted from referring to him as "Cat" because Rhia had turned up.

He suppressed a laugh at Dani's words. Awaiting the reaction from Kyo.

A look of disgust crosses his face as he swats her hand away, "Don't touch me!"

"Then Don't act like an idiot!!" She shouted back

"I wasn't the one butting into someone else's conversation like some moron!" He yells back in an equal tone.

Rhia conjured a bucket of water and tipped it over Kyo's head. "Will you quit it?" she said angrily. "Your temper's only going to end up hurting you, in the end. Yuki didn't introduce me, so I'm Rhia Ai. I'm also extremely offended by both of your behavior. So what if your zodiac animals are opposites?!?! Can't you atleast TRY to get along?"

Dani's eyes flashed purple, "I'm not the one who walked out of the forest ruinning the moment!"

He scowled and stepped infront of Kyo and pushed him away from Dani-san. "Both of you, Stop it." He was looking straight into Kyo's eyes with daggers. Why did he have to be such an idiot? Maybe he could make friends if he wasn't spazzing out all the time.

"Look I'm sorry," she said her eyes returning to the blue color.

"Urrgh...." After the shove, he contents himself to seething silently. He crosses his arms tightly, shoulders a little hunched and still dripping water from the spell.

"You know," Rhia mused. "You and Yuki are really similar, come to think of it. You show your aggression, but Yuki's more of the passive aggressive type. Do you agree?" she turned to Dani.

"That's all you can say? urghhh? Good god is that the best you can come up with?" Dani said

He turned to face the two girls again, furious now, him and Kyo were nothing a like. He turned his face to Dani and glared.
"Back off, would you?" He said coldly. After a few moments, he realized what he had said, he looked down embarrassedly. "Sorry...Dani-san."

That did it.

"DAMN, what do you want me to say?! Should I hit you in the face instead?!" He shouts at Dani, "You're all 'Calm down, calm down!" but then I do and you peepee me off again!"

He quickly glances at Rhia, "Don't compare me to him." saying the last word with venom in his voice.

// urg, I didn't want to say peepee. I originally had had something a little nastier there but it changed it. Pretend it said differently. ;P //

Dani was ready to throw a stream of swearwords at Yuki, but held back. Her eyes flashed to purple and she closed them and looked down at the ground, She sighed holding back her anger.

"Look I wouldn't peepee me off either," She shouted back.

"Now look what you've done!" Dani yelled at Kyo. "Yuki, look you don't have to leave."

"What?! He's the one who kept - ARGH, enough of this!" Shouts Kyo, storming off in the direction of the Slytherin dorms. He was thankful that he'd looked over the castle map during the trip here.

He turned, before having fully left. "You're not mad at me, Dani-chan?" A small smile lit his face. "Don't mind Kyo, I told you he was an idiot, I try to ignore his idle insults. Best way to do it." He grinned, glancing at Kyo-Kyo. He noticed him leaving and sighed. "He'll be back, or we'll run into him later at least. Rhia, Dani."

"Good lord," Dani said looking at Kyo's retreating figure. "No I'm not mad at you,"

He tilted his head happily and smiled. "Well, I'm relieved to hear that, Miss Dani-chan." He seemed to be more perked up after Kyo had left. "Don't worry about him. He's always been very involved in the zodiac story and hates what the Rat did to the Cat." He stated, noticing that Rhia was still there.

He walked over to her and gave a bow. "I'm sorry for offending you earlier. I've just never gotten along with cats, as you can see." He looked up, hoping she'd forgive him.

"I don't understand why he can't just let it go it is history after all." Dani looked at him, "But you're really not helping with your egging on."

He shrugged. "I don't want to just stand there while he exhorts his anger on me. I can see you're no good demonstration at doing that either." He looked at her, starring her in the eyes. "Once again I apologize. But it's the truth."

He shadowed his eyes with his hair and began on a story. "I tried to be Kyo's friend, at a point. He had dropped his hat once and I picked it up for him, trying to hand it back to him, but he was only disgusted that the "rat" would ever touch his things. Since then...Never worked between us." He sighed, knowing that the past should be the past. "We can't forget the history. Our whole family is big on the Zodiac story."

"Don't appoligize to me, I mean what's there to appoligize for if you're telling the truth. I know I have a temper and I have no problem admitting it." Dani said. "Maybe...after all thoses years of having the rat rubbed in his face, he snapped, and needs to prove to himself that he's just as good as you."

"Well, I certainly didn't try to get in his face, I realize that the cat is shunned because of what the rat did, but it's a story. There's nothing I can do to fix it, I've tried being nice to him and he just pushes me away, So I give up on that." He sighs, almost a frustrated one and shook his head, continuing. "I don't care if we're friends or not, I wouldn't want to be friends with him anyways, he gets angry to easily."

"I'm sorry for offending you earlier. I've just never gotten along with cats, as you can see."
Rhia smiled softly. "It's alright, Yuki. The real reason I came back down was to apologize. So I'm sorry I blew up at you, too."

"He seems nice enough, maybe he just needs to feel like he belongs. Maybe he's been shunned for so long that he doesn't know how else to place his anger so he takes it out on everyone around him," Dani laughed. "But there I go sounding sentimental, ha! Well," she looked at her micky mouse watch. "we had better get back to the dance."

"Oh, I see Miss Rhia. You're forgiven." He smiled and gave another polite bow, before turning his head back to Dani, eyes glazed over. He blinked, taking in her words. "Th-thats...you're probably right, but it's his own fault." He sighed, looking to where Kyo left to, feeling the slightest bit sorry for him.

After having been gone for a while, Kyo decides to go back and face everyone like a man, rather than running away.

"Listen... I'm sorry for... flipping out earlier." He says upon arriving back to the group. "I guess I was a bit stressed." Though his face is not longer red, he forces the words out from between clenched teeth, looking like the calmness that he's achieved could fall apart any second.

"And I'm sorry for acting like a beach *should be another word*" Dani said smiling.

Yuki turned to Kyo and started starring at him, not really listening to what he was saying. Kyo always seemed to come back after he had stormed off angrily, and somehow, Yuki always managed to make him angry again.

After a few more moments of starring at him he turned back to Dani-chan, and tilted his head. "You want to go back to the dance, Miss Dani?"

"There's a dance going on right now? Already?" Asked Kyo curiously.

"Yes, thank you for asking Yuki." Dani said. "Kyo would you like to join us?"

"Well, as you know, Kyo. You got to Hogwarts a bit later then I did, and yes, it's spring time, and therefore. They're having a dance to celebrate it." He spoke quite calmly, and as softly as he could. His voice still sounded cold. Anything he said always seemed to make Kyo mad, so why bother being careful?
