Spring Dance

Ginny Weasley walked into the great hall where the Spring dance was being held. Her long red hair was tumbling down around her shoulders. She wore a short black gown with spaghetti straps. The dress did wonders for her petite figure, accenting every curve. She wore black sandals that showed off her painted pink toenails.

She walked across the room and headed towards Krista who she saw talking with another girl. "Hi Krista." She said happily. "Have you seen Harry? He is supposed to be coming tonight." She smiled at the meer thought of him being here, dancing with her. She always had such a good time with him. So strong and so incredibly handsome.

Not meeting his eyes, Rhia answered, "It's been fine, Yuki."

Rhia seemed to zone out for a bit. When she came back to earth, she saw Yuki disappear in a burst of purple smoke. Dani had dragged Maeve towards the punch table, so Rhia would have to deal with this alone. She gaped in shock when she saw a rat appear.

The rat form of Yuki, realizing that Rhia had seen him, began to stare straight at her with a look of helplessness. It gave a rat sigh and remained under the bench, hoping transformation wouldn't come anytime soon.

He walked up to her, and tried to give her the "Shoo, shoo" motion.

"Alright," He said in his little rat form, purple eyes starring straight into hers. "I'm probably gunna change back any minute, Miss Rhia, and as you see, my clothes are on the floor...Which means, when I change back, I'll being..eh..unclothed, so I'd appreciate it if you turned around?"

Still partly in shock, Rhia slowly nodded and turned around, all the while having a million different thoughts swarming in her head.

Rhia heard another poof, an explosion sound, and once again a cloud of purple smoke surrounded him, his chest and his head only showed from it as he quickly grabbed his clothes and changed into them in about the time of 2 seconds.

The smoke slowly cleared and Yuki went to stand infront of Rhia-chan. He grabbed her hand and began pulling her towards the door.

"Please...come with me, I need to explain something." He spoke quietly, looking down, eyes shadowed and very embarrassed.

Rhia let herself get dragged along by Yuki. She felt apprehensive about what he would explain... Because deep down inside, she knew that for better or for worse, their friendship would never be the same.

Dani yanked Maeve away from Yuki. She looked back to were Yuki once was, but he was gone. She looked frantically all around, but he was nowhere to be seen. Maeve looked back to Dani, "Were did he go?"

Maeve then looked back and Yuki was pulling Rhia to the door.

"What is going on?" Maeve asked Dani quizically.

He sighed and took them outside, closing the door behind them. The cold wind whistled in their ears and he bowed low to her.

"I..I apologize for not saying anything before." He paused, glancing upwards. "But, you see, I couldn't...under strict orders of the family. This is the Sohma Curse, or if you prefer, our secret." He remained in his bow position, while explaining. "You remember that time I told you about the zodiac story? Guess why Kyo and I don't get along. He's the cat, and I'm the rat. Literally."

Yuki got out of his bow position and starred straight into her eyes through clouded purple ones, there was a faint blush on his face as he got ready to go into details.

"This is why I could never hug you, Whenever a Sohma cursed by the zodiac is hugged by a member of the opposite gender, or becomes very weak, we turn into our zodiac animal." He remained silent after that, awaiting a response. "I'm sorry..."

TAlly walked into the dance in a baby blue short dress. She sighed and grabbed a drink.

God, this was all happening so fast. One day, Lily was here, being a brat, but tally's friend had still been there with her, and then the enxt day, she disappears only leaving a note and sad friends behind.

WHy had Lily been so dang stupid? Had she not thought about the hurt that she would leave in everyone's heart. But, Tally tried to respect Lily's choices. It was hard, but she trusted Lily. No matter what she decided to do.


She took her sewat at a near-by table and took aswig of fire whiskey.

'Lily is supposed to be here!' screamed a voice in her head

Rhia looked at Yuki sadly. "I'm sorry," she said softly. "No one deserves to be under a curse unless they've done something really evil, and it's not fair that you and Kyo can't get along because of it." She looked straight into his eyes. "But I still wish you had told me... even though I definitely don't have a right to know."

He shook his head, 'You're right...you don't have a right to know, but never the less, you do now.' those thoughts interrupted his train of thought. He shook his head again at her, and looked at her hand, not wishing to stare into her eyes.

"It's not your fault, you don't need to pity me." He played with his hands, nervously. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you...but, Akito, and everyone forbids it. I suppose it's a little more normal in the wizarding world, but could you imagine how a muggle would react to it?" He sighed again and approached her, taking her hand and hugging it in his own, comfortingly.

Rhia laughed weakly. "What a sight for a muggle! It would give one of them a heart attack for sure!" Looking down at her hand, Rhia continued, "And I don't pity you, Yuki. I commiserate with you. No, I'm not and have never been under a curse like that, but I have experienced horrible things... and to me, being under the Sohma curse would be compared to that."

"Y..you, what happened to you?" He asked with a tone of concern in his voice, he was sick of talking about himself, and now was curious with what had been troubling Rhia-chan. He desperately wanted to know.

He looked up from her hand and into her eyes instead, he stood very close to her.

Little drips of rain began pouring on the ground, then their pace sped up and the entire ground was covered in water.

Welcoming the cleansing feel of the rain, Rhia closed her eyes and apprehensively brought back the memories that had been buried for so long. "It was a few years ago... during the summer holidays. It was a beautiful night with a clear sky and a myriad of stars could be seen... the weather was great and I slipped out of bed to go for a walk in the woods behind my house... it's always so peaceful there. When I was walking, I heard voices... and screams... I was curious, so I walked towards them, when I really should have been running far, far away. In a clearing, I saw a group of Death Eaters torturing this little girl... I don't get angry very easily, but when I do, beware my wrath," she laughed weakly at those words, and then continued. "I took out my wand and stunned the Death Eater who was doing the main torturing... I know it sounds as if I'm making this up, but I always wanted to learn new spells before they were taught in school. So I stunned him, but then, they all turned on me." Rhia shuddered as she remembered her experience. "I - I was crucio'd and tortured, but luckly, my brother heard my screams and came to find me... I was saved and the Death Eaters are now in Azkaban, but the little girl died... She was a muggle... to them, it was fun to torture her..." Rhia spat out those words in disgust. Turning her head towards the rain and closing her eyes, she said, "So now you know. I've never told anyone else... that secret and others that came with it..."

"When the time comes he'll explain it to you, but it's not up to me to tell you" Dani said and she pulled her over to the punch and spiked her glass with firewhisky.

"Maeve if I told you something you must promise not to freak out, don't worry it has nothing to do with Yuki." She gestured for Maeve to sit down. "When people go through something like losing their memory it may have happened because they did something so terrible they don't want to remember it. I may have been you lost your memory because you...may have killed someone...or assisted in a murder, tortured someone. You could've done these things against your will, which normally results in loss of memory." Dani explained

Maeve nodded her head in understandment of Yuki needing to tell her himself in his own self.

As Dani spoke, Maeve's eyes widened. She could never imagine herself being so cold-hearted. Maeve tried to speak, but at first words could not come out. Maybe Dani was right. It was a possiblity, a horrible one, but one at that.

Maeve nodded again, "I understand. That is possible. I hope it is not true, but it might be."

"I might not be," Dani reminded her. "I mean I just know that many people get selective amnisia but sometimes it's not so selective." then muttering, "I should know..."

Maeve heard the last part Dani muttered and looked at her confused, "What do you mean you should know?"

"I mean...oh god," she whispered. "Okay Maeve this is the truth, and you had better not freak out and go telling everyone." her eyes flashed their dangerous purple warning sign and she continued.

"I'm a member of the South Rose Wolf Pack, I transform into a wolf like an animagus, one night I was extreamly drunk and with my boyfriend being a wold I was bloodthirsty and craving action. We snuck into a muggle town and murdered a few members of a gang that were out late that night," The memory was hard to bring back but Dani made herself bring it back to the surface. "The alcohol kept most of the memory away but I pushed it away I didn't want to remember what I had done so I didn't. but then Bryan told me what I had done, and it came back. That's what I mean, you can forget to have done something just because it's so terrible to remember."

His hair sagged down with the rain and he released her hand from his own. His purple gaze widened while she explained the traumatic memory that seemed as if it had been locked away from society, his theory was proven true, when she explained that she had never told anyone else.

He opened his mouth, at first, no sound came out, and he closed it. He was shocked, he had no idea what Rhia-chan had gone through. He bowed his head to her and then got a sound out.

"R-rhia-chan...I had no idea." He sighed and looked up at her from his bowed position.

"I'm sorry...That's something no one should have to witness." He stood, and stared at her through a concerned gaze. "Are you going to be alright?"

Dani looked away from Maeve, "That's what I mean..."

Opening her arms wide, Rhia slowly started to twirl under the rain as she contemplated her answer to Yuki's question. "I think, that given enough time, I will be alright. But nothing is going to erase my memory of that... and in some strange way, I don't want to forget. That night, my mind was opened to a whole new way of seeing things... I now realize that I'd been terribly naive before... Thinking the world was at peace and happy..." Rhia stopped twirling. "I know better now, and since I know, I can do something about it." SHe looked into Yuki's eyes. "And I'm going to... no one deserves to suffer like she did, like I did. No one deserves to be hurt like that, unless of course, they hurt others like that." Secure in her view, Rhia held Yuki's gaze, as if daring him to contradict her.

Maeve looked at Dani with caring eyes."I'm sorry for the wrongs of your past Dani."

Maeve sighed and then spoke again, "I wish I could remember, but something is blocking my memory. I just hope whatever began the blocking isn't something too horrible."

Dani nodded, "It could be that someone put a spell on you," She combed her fingers though her hair once again, and took a sip from her spiked punch.

She looked around the great hall and spotted Rhia and Yuki, she wanted to go over there but she resisted instead she drained her glass.

Krista shooked her head she was never good at theses things always showing up late, or not even showing up at all...She laughed 'i'm a joke...no wonderwhy i sulk these halls alone...' quickly shaking those thoughts from her head she quickly went to the table to drown her sarrows in the divine chocolate.

Tally spotted Krista. SHe had seen this girl around sometimes so she decided to go say hi.

She elbowed her way through the heavy corwd. She grabbed another firewhiskey on the way and stopped when she came to Krista's table.

Tally pushed back her long blond hair and sat down.

"HI," she said bravely. Introducing herself to new people was not her thing....but Lily would have wanted it.

Krista looked startled, somebody said hi to me. Shaking her head in disbelief, she turned to looked at the blond before her. "um...hi..." her shy side taking over.

"Do you mind if i sit?" tally asked courageusly.

"No not at all..." She smiled at the newcomer. "I'm sorry i didn't quiet catch your name..." She prodded, she hate not know what to call the person...she could just call her girl...

"I'm Tally. Tally Cathers," tally blurted and then sat down ungracefully.

She took a swig of her firewhiskey and said, "some dance huh?"

Chris walked in the room. He looked at all the people dancing and drinking and talking. It was a pretty good dance.

Krista nodded, "ya if you can find a decent guy to dance with..." She said sarcasticly. "Actully it is a pretty good dance.." She started relecantly, "but it's no fun just sitting around..." Then she got an idea, with out another word she took Tally's hand and pulled her out of her chair. Bowing she said, "may i have this dance madam?"

Tally giggled. "Of course," she said.

this was sooo something she and lily would have done back in like 5th year when they thought everything was perfect

Krista laughed as the two of them danced on the floor infrount of the blaring steario pulling off every wild move ever thought of in the history of wilded dancing. "I've never had this much fun at a dance before!" Krista admited as soon as the song was over, "we should go get more loney girls to join us." She laughed.

Tally spun around twisting her arms as she did so that when the spin was over, the two almost fell over. "This is the most fun I've actually had in ages. Yeah...there must be tons of lonely girls itching to find someone else to dance with," she said as she laughed crazily.

Krista contagious with Tally's laughter giggled too. "Come on!" She said grabbing her hand, "Lets go get some others i would be surpried if by the end of the night there would be more girls dancing around the dance floor."

"Ok," tally said grinning, but recomposing herself all the same.

Krista stood tippy toed looking over heads and such to see if she could find any other loney girls who needed to have a good time.

Yuki nodded. Rhia was right, of course. Pranks and such were fun, but, actual torment...That shouldn't happen. He offered her his hand and then spoke calmly, dropping the subject they had been talking about. "Want to go inside?" he asked politely.

'Ehh..what am I going to say to Dani? She confessed love...what am I suppose to do?' he thought to himself, looking a little troubled over the whole thing. 'Of course I can't date anyone...I'll just have to tell her, I love her as a friend? Oh..that's so lame.' he sighed to himself and looked back to Rhia. 'If I stay with her...Dani will get suspicious.' Oh well. He decided that she was much easier to hang out with. If Dani couldn't accept that, then what kind of a friend was she?

The dance had been going on for many hours now yet Polly still had not entered she could not find it in herself to walk into the hall in her multi coulderd dress and have many students stare at her
so standing outside the hall *she listened to the music being played and whished that would go in but she knew every single student would stop and luck the dress was just that horrible what was her mother thinking*

"Want to go inside?"

Rhia dropped her gaze and nodded. Noticing Yuki's offered hand, she took it and began walking out of the rain.

After hearing about the dance and finally made up her mind Oddie walked on over to the place where it was held. On her way there she noticed Polly sitting outside wearing a multi colored dress. Oddie looked at the clothing she was wearing- Her black robes. Oddie decided that instead of joining the otehrs she would go over and talk to Polly instead. "Hey" Oddie said to Polly taking a seat beside her

"Hey oddie can you beileve what my mother sent? I asked her for a new dress and she sent this monstrosity *giggles* how could i go in there with all those cute guys? So why arn't you going in? your hair looks great what have you done with it?"

"Hey oddie can you beileve what my mother sent?"
"it dont look too bad" Oddie said looking at her dress "AT least your wearing a dress I just got my robes on"
"how could i go in there with all those cute guys?"
"Use your wand to change the dress color" Oddie suggested.
So why arn't you going in? your hair looks great what have you done with it?"
"I dont really wan to go in" Oddie replied. "I dont like dances too much. All i did with my hair" Oddie said answering her last question " was that I tried to strighten it.... Its usally a huge mess."

i think it looks great Polly changed the couler of her dress as Oddie had suggested and cutting some of the length of so it looks more normal "Oddie shall we go in it will be much more fun we could go and talk to someone else it doesent matter what we look like really does it?"

"Sure why not, but im not wearing a dress" Oddie said laughing as they entered.

Dani took another gulp of her firewhisky, she wasn't drunk merely intoxicated. Her party clothes were denched from her venture to the lake and the getting caught in the rain but she didn't care, even after her clothes had made swelghing noises as she had entered the hall. Yuki was mad at her but nothing else was new, she sighed and drained the rest of her bottle. Looking into it's emptyness she summoned another and it hit her in the head. Suddenly the greatest night of her life had gone down the drain.

Once Oddie took her seat she saw Dani enter and try to summon another beer that hit her in the head. Walking over to her, Oddie asked her "ARe you ok" and stood ready incase she was going to fall
