3rd House Quidditch: GRYFFINDOR V HUFFLEPUFF: 10th-14th

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber got onto her broom and flew into the air looking around for anyone else. She yawned and noticed that she was the first one there.::

"Where is everyone?"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Marie hummed to herself absent mindedly as she walked on the pitch, jumping on her broom and kicking the ground, flying up and looking around.

"Well that's what I call emptiness," she said.

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber nodded in agreement.::

"Hey Marie, very empty indeed."

(Gryffindor Chaser)

::WL took advantage of the fact that hardly any of either team was here and snatched the quaffle from the air. She signalled to the other chasers to back her up and wnet soaring to the goal. She threw it in heard the lovely DING of the bell as she scored her first goal. She took off around the pitch as the gryffindors started to take a lead on the scoreboard!::

Gryffindor Chaser

Cristina entered the pitch hurriedly, still arraging her flying robes and running. She stopped and had a look around. "What? So little people? ...And I thought I was late..." She shrugged and mounted her broom. Then she just saw WL score - already! Wow, this was going to be a good game for Gryffindor! As she rose to her usual high position, she waved to the girls already there and yelled "Go Gryffindoooor!", then she circled a few times around the pitch and began having a lookout for the golden snitch.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::streams strode onto the pitch. there was a strong wind and and it was cloudy. she hoped it wouldn't rain as that would make it much more difficult to fly in. She glanced worriedly at the sky, then shrugged and threw a leg over her broom. Whether it rained or not, she was still going to fly.

she took off gently, then increased speed, zooming around the pitch in a circle. As she swooped past the scoreboard, she saw that Gryffindor had already scored once. Shaking her head, she vowed to try her hardest not to let them score again too soon.

"Good luck, Marie!" she called as she passed her, then went into a downward spiral when she saw the bludger hovering beneath Marie.

the Bludger, somehow sensing streams' approach with the unforgiving bat, quickly changed direction and flew left. streams pulled up quickly and chased it. she caught up with it fairly quickly, but they were both flying a few feet below the rest of the players. In order for streams to hit it more effectively, it was better if she hit it when she was at the same level as the rest of the players.

So she reached up with both hands, hugging her broom with her knees, and whacked the bludger from beneath.

she couldn't hit it with much force, but nonetheless it began soaring lazily upwards, and streams followed it carefully.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Dancing ran on to the field knowing she was somewhat late, but not nearly as bad as some members of the team. She sighed then saw her mommy.

"Hey Mums!" She yelled waving then seeing WL with the Qwaffle she took off as fast as she could in that direction she stripped the ball from her and zig zagged toward the Gryiffindor's goals.

::She threw the ball through the middle hoop and listened to the familar dong of her team scoring some points.

Gryffindor Chaser

Rick climbed onto his Firebolt and took off after the quaffle. He reached it about midfield and shot off towards the Hufflepuff goalposts.

Rick took aim and feigned shooting the quaffle through the middle hoop, sending it soaring through the left hoop as the keeper misjudged it a bit. Pumping his fist in the air, he turned tail and got back to the middle of the pitch where the quaffle was being released again.

::Dancing saw her brother make the goal and scowled, she loved him but to take off with no warning at all she scoped up the qwaffle and raced past Rick to the G Goals.

::She took aim and threw the ball at the far left hoop and hoped for the best.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn jogged out to the quidditch pitch with her broomstick tucked under her arm. Muttering to herself, she shielded the sun from her eyes and looked up to see a few players flying around. As she straddled her broomstick, Jenn bent her knees and swiftly kicked off from the ground to enter the game. She wouldn't have been so late if she didnt have to stay up all night guarding her nightstand. Shaking her head, she flew toward the center.::

::Catching the quaffle as it was thrown into play, she looked around and caught Dancing's eye. With a slight nod, she flew pass Dancing and quickly threw it over her shoulder at Dancing and swung her broomstick around. Keeping her broomstick at the constant angle, Jenn was able to circle around Dancing in a wide circle as they flew toward the Gryffindor goals. As she flew around Dancing to protect her from having the quaffle intercepted, she leaned to the side as her broomstick continued to circle her teammate and waited for the right moment.::

::Amber watched as the action unfolded before her and zoomed after a nearby bludger. Carefully avoiding other players, she caught up to it. She aimed for Jenn and whacked the bludger at her.::

"Come on, come on."

(Hufflepuff Beater)

::streams was still juggling with the other bludger, but when she saw a bludger headed straight for jenn, she regretfully left her bludger and zoomed after the one amber had just hit.

She headed straight for jenn, and jenn quickly jerked her broom downward to avoid a collision, her eyes wide in surprise. Meanwhile streams whacked the bludger back in the direction from which it had come, making it head straight for amber. She zoomed after it and hit it again, making it move with twice as much force. It rammed into ambers midriff with a satisfying whump.::

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber watched in shock until the moment the bludger hit her. She cried out in pain, but that was soon forgotten as she felt the sensation of falling through the air.::

::She screamed loudly.:: "Help!!!" ::as she wondered briefly why things like this always happened to her.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn caught sight of the bludger zooming staight for her as her eyes widen a bit. Jerking her broomstick downwards, she dipped her broomstick down a few feet to avoid the near collusion. Letting out a deep sigh of relief, Jenn looked up just in time to see the quaffle that Dancing had dropped. Quickly leaning back, she was able to catch right before it smacked her on the head yet again. Noting that the Gryffindors were slightly busy with the bludgers, Jenn sped off in the direction of the goal hoops.::

::She flew straight toward the goal hoops before jerking her broomstick underneath catching the keeper by surprise. However just as she went under the hoops, she leaned back on her broomstick as though she was laying on it. Quickly lifting up the quaffle with her hands, Jenn pushed the quaffle through the goal as she went under it. Pulling her broomstick back upwards, she sat back up and cheered silently to herself before returning to the center.::

::WL caught the quaffle deftly as it was thrown back into play and raced down the pitch alongside Rick. The two of them passed it back and forth until the reached the goals, and as there was nothing in their way, WL tried to take a shot at the goalposts, but was foiled by a stray bludger. She dodged easily but was off kilter so she just took off upwards and dropped the quaffle behind her into Rick's hands, who was in the perfect position for a shot. Unfailingly, Rick threw it into the goal and WL came down from executing that perfect little play, taking advantage of the bludger's circumstances. One more goal for Gryffindor!::

::streams grinned happily when she saw amber fall from her broom. she felt a second of regret and considered going to help her, but then cursed herself for being soft and shook her head. the gryffies could help her, or as a last resort the referee could help her out. meanwhile streams glanced back at the other bludger to see how it was doing...and noticed that it was headed in the opposite direction from WL!

"Darnit I can't be everywhere at once!" streams cursed under her breath and zoomed over to WL and Rick, but she was too late and she moaned quietly to herself when she saw gryffies score.

"That's it," she muttered, chasing after a bludger. The strong wind whipped her hair out of her eyes and she had just reached the bludger when out of nowhere the other bludger zoomed towards her. She jerked her broom upward quickly and nearly fell off, but she hugged it tightly with both arms and knees as it turned upside down.

"Stupid broomstick, this wasn't supposed to happen! I'm gonna sue!" she shouted. Finally her broomstick righted itself and she soared over to the bludger. Instead of whacking it, she gently placed her bat on the ball and then accelerated, so that the bludger was simply being pushed on the edge of her bat. Then she pulled up next to WL and Rick. Since rick had been the one who scored, she decided to go for him first.

"I love you, sweetheart, but I hope this REALLY HURTS!" she yelled and smacked the bludger with all of her strength towards Rick. She was so close that she doubted he'd be able to dodge it in time.::

Gryffindor Beater

Aliza hurried on to the pitch - Oh no... she thought i'm late...not a great exapmle to be setting. looking around she saw that not many people had turned up but the game seemed to have gotten started. As she kicked off the ground she saw streamers hit a bludger toward rick, she wouldnt be able to get up to him in time to defend him so she could only hope he'd dodge it himself "Rick!" she yelled "Bludger coming your way!" then she swerved off toward the nearest bludger, afraid of what she might see if streamer's bludger connected. Seeing that streamer's back was turned toward her she grinned and hit the bludger at her "Streamers! thats not a very nice way to treat your son!" as streamers turned around the bludger hit her square in the face. Laughing silently to herself she searched the pitch for more bludgers, or badgers....whatever happened to come in the way of her bat.

::Due to her ex-beater days, WL realised that Rick might not be able to dodge in time, so as she was directly behind him, the spurted forwards and shoved his broom to the side as the force of that made her fall backwards. The overall effect it had was tons better than the prospect. Rick's broom was hit, but other than a few bent twings, he was fine...She was a bit stunned that she pulled it off though...Luckily, Aliza had arrived!::

"Nothing is working out for me today," streams moaned as the bludger crashed into her nose with a sickening crunch. Blood began pouring out of her nose and streams tried her best to quench it with the sleeve of her robe.

"Captain! where are you when I need you?" she shouted nasally. "I can't play like this...aren't we allowed to call for a break in a situation like this?"

She could feel her right eye begin to swell up and shook her pounding head, trying to clear it. She tried halfheartedly to chase after a bludger, but it was quite difficult as she could only see out of one eye, half her face was covered by the sleeve with which she was trying to stop the flow of blood, and her head ached terribly.

she flew dazedly around the pitch, nearly crashing into a gryffie chaser.::

Gryffindor Beater

Aliza noticed amber was falling through the air (lmao! thanx streamers!) and flew as fast as she could toward her. "Gotta save amby, gotta save amby" she muttered to herself. She flew underneath amber and caught (OMG! can you believe i just typed 'catched' CATCHED! anyway..back to the game) her as she fell. She slowly steadied her broom and landed gracefully. Amber climbed off the broom and accioed her broom, as she clambered on aliza asked her "you ok?"

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber sighed.::

"Yeah and thanks for helping me so quickly." ::she said sarcastically. Before getting back unto her own broom.::

(Gryffindor Keeper)

Amy flew onto the pitch, and took her place up by the goalposts. She circled in and out of them a few times, getting a feel for the broom and the air, before settling in and looking at the game.

She saw Amber fall and be rescued by Aliza, and then looked out to see what the other team was doing.

(Hufflepuff beater)

"Yeah, but at least you're still relatively unhurt!" streams shouted nasally at amber. Her entire head really hurt by now and her right eye had swelled shut. The cold wind in her face helped a bit, but she really hoped they could call a break so that she could get her nose fixed, or else she wouldn't be able to do much playing.

As she zoomed around haphazardly, a bludger came flying straight at her. "Fate!" she muttered, and took her hand off her nose so that she could hit the bludger with both hands. She whacked it hard and it flew straight towards WL, even though streams hadn't been aiming at anyone specifically.

streams watched disinterestedly as it smashed into WL's leg and her leg bent in a funny way, the way legs shouldn't naturally bend.

I hope it's broken, streams thought viciously, her hand back on her nose which was still gushing blood.::

::Amber glared at Streams and rushed to stop the bludger from hitting WL. She was too late. She cringed and whacked it back toward Streams with all her might.::

"I wouldn't be hurt at all if you hadn't hit me with a bludger!"

(Hufflepuff beater)

"I think I've been paid back for that," streams muttered and spiraled downward quickly to avoid the bludger amber sent at her. the blood flow was starting to slow but her head still really hurt.::

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Mel ran onto the pitch, her heart beating as she realised the game had already started. Mounting her broom, she signalled to Streams that she was ready and waiting to cause some havoc!

Quickly, she sped around the pitch warming up, her eyes peeled for the bludger as she made her way back near to Streams.

"Ready for some double plays?" She whispered, grinning

(Gryffindor keeper)

Amy hovered around the goalposts, her broom thrumming with power, and she did a sharp turn around the last goal to burn off some energy.

Whilst it was good that the Hufflepuff chasers weren't coming to the goals, it did mean that there wasn't much for Amy to do except circle the goalposts, and keep an eagle eye on the game.

::streams soared over to Mel, grinning happily. Her headache was finally starting to clear, though she would have some terrible bruises tomorrow. "Amy looks quite bored over there!" streams called to Mel. "I say we do the plan now!"

When Mel nodded in reply, streams smiled and said, "I'll take left, you take right!"

Then streams zoomed over to Jenn, hovering a bit above her and covering her left side. When the gryffie beaters saw that streams was covering the left, they aimed a bludger towards Jenn's right. Cursing quietly to herself, streams fell back a bit and whacked the bludger back where it came from. Then she flew back to stay at Jenn's left and shouted, "We need you here NOW, Mel!"

Gryffindor Beater

Aliza was unsure of what the badgers were planning to do but she was sure it wasnt good. When she heard streamers yelling at Mel she decided to delay Mel a little and hit two bludgers at her in quick succession. One hit Mel in the stomach so she was winded and the other hit her broom, causing it to go out of control. The combination of the two caused Mel to fall off her broom. Aliza was glad she had been able to mess up the huffie's plan...making Mel fall off her broom was just added bonus. Grinning to herself she span her broom around - looking for the bludgers

Gryffindor, Seeker

Cristina looked at the bludgers that had just hit Mel.. Oh no, she thought, as she saw one of them change track and head for herself. But she had a plan. She was closest to Jenn, so she just had the bludger follow her until she was very close - dangerously close, actually - and then changed direction, too quickly for the bludger to react, or even to care. She didn't stop to look what had happened to Jenn, just in case the bludger decided to go after her next.. but she was pretty sure she had heard a loud bang... "Sorry, Jenn!", she shouted.

Amy was still hovering around the goalposts, getting slightly bored, so that she almost, almost wished the Hufflepuff chasers would buck their ideas up so that she would have something to do at least.

She grinned as she saw Aliza send two bludgers in quick succession at Mel, the Hufflepuff beater, but she couldn't get complacent. Keeping her eye on the quaffle for the time when it could come to her end, she maintained her post in front of the goals.

::streams groaned loudly when she saw the bludgers hit mel. "Unfair, I tell you," she muttered under her breath, then zoomed over to mel, sliding her broom neatly underneath her and making sure she had a tight hold on the broom. Then she soared over to Mel's broom, which was floating lazily above them and grabbed it. Mel clambered back on, and streams was about to ask if she felt alright when she saw a bludger zooming towards Jenn.

"Not a moment's peace in this game," she mumbled, speeding towards Jenn and thwacking the bludger at the last possible moment. It connected with the bat with a large BANG and zoomed straight for the gryffie keeper. Good, that should keep her busy, streams thought grumpily, and once more assumed her place on the left side of Jenn, whispering in her ear that now was a perfect chance to take a shot, since amy would be quite busy with the bludger in two seconds. she looked back to see if Mel was badly hurt.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

::Jenn gritted her teeth as the bludger swerved off of her and hit Streams bat with a loud bang. Although it didn't hit her directly on, it still scraped her arm as it zoomed past her. Clutching the quaffle tightly to her chest, Jenn zoomed off to the Gryffindor hoops as Streams successfully diverted Amy with a well aimed bludger.::

::Leaning low on her broomstick, she flew quickly and tossed the quaffle into the air. Jerking her broom she spun twice to gain momentum and power and whacked the quaffle straight on into the goal with a breeze.::

COMMENTOR

Raistlin placed himself confortably in the commetor's cabinet and pointed his wand to his throat and spelled "SONORUS" he made some gorgoling sounds to check if the spell was working.

"Don't worry my dear audience i'm here to enlight you all. Fine, well let's see after a rather slow starting the game seem to be more interesting. We have a injured huffie beater which just hit a bludger to the keeper... erm.. isn't that against the rules? Nevermind the let the referee take care of it... and the gryffie keeper after a boring a game sees herself in a dangerous situation let's see what happens"

Gryffindor Beater

Aliza saw a bludger flying toward amy, Oh no! she thought we cant have our keeper injured. she sped toward amy and arrived just before the bludger, yelling at amy to duck she swung her bat back and hit the bludger as hard as she could toward jenn, streamers was guarding her but there was the chance that she might just get lucky enough for the bludger to connect.

"I don't think so," streams muttered, zooming off to meet the bludger before it could even come near Jenn. She juggled her bat a minute just to show off, then met the bludger head on and hit it with a satisfying thump. It flew straight back at aliza, barrelling towards her left shoulder.::

"Dear watchers we're now assiting a bludgers ping-pong from one beater to another!"

Gryffindor, Seeker

Cristina saw the bludger and decided to help Aliza. She shouted "Aliza! Out of the way!", and just in case that wasn't enough, she flew towards her and tried to push her away as quickly as she could.

(Gryffindor Beater)

::Amber sighed as she zoomed over, and kept the bludger from hitting Christina. She threw her bat back and hit the bludger back toward the original target of Jenn.::

Streams turned her back so that the beaters should think they would get a clear shot at jenn, then she turned suddenly and gave the bludger a backhanded swipe. It went zooming wildly down the pitch, and just so happened to approach a gryffie chaser.

"There are other players around here besides Jenn, you know!" streams called to the huffie beaters. Hopefully that bludger headed for their chaser would keep them preoccupied.::

Gryffindor, Seeker

"Thanks, Amby!", Cristina shouted. It's so good both Prinny and be are alive!, she thought smiling.

Then she saw another bludger - Oh no! But this time, she was unfortunately too far away and all she could do was warn the person. Hoping that the whole confusing and hurtful bludger business would soon end, she rose high up, having a lookout for the snitch, and wondering when the quaffle would actually begin to be thrown more often.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn spotted yet another bludger heading in her direction. “This is what happens when you’re stuck playing with a bunch of Beaters.” She muttered to herself with a smile. Quickly taking action into her own hands, she loosened her grip in her broomstick and leaned on the far left to drastically dip her broomstick down several feet. As the bludger breezed through her hair, Jenn swiftly scanned the field for the quaffle.

Spotting it being thrown into play, she knew she would never reach it in time before it hit the ground. Speeding downwards, Jenn loosened her hands some more and slid upside down toward the head of her broomstick, using her weight to make the broom plummet rapidly. Hanging that way, she impatiently brushed the flying strands of hair out of her eyes and reached out to grab the quaffle.

As her fingers closed around the red ball, Jenn held ontightly to the broomstick with her one hand and diligently shimmied down the broom toward the middle to level the weight. Wrapping both arms around the broomstick, Jenn held on tightly and was able to maneuver the broom to turn right side up once more. As her vision started to clear up from being upside down so long, she glanced over at Streams and gave a slight nod.

streams had stayed a bit back as jenn went chasing after the Quaffle, but now she approached her quickly and began circling around her, keeping an eye out for bludgers. A gryffie chaser nearly crashed into her, she jerked her broom downwards quickly and then continued her smooth circling, guarding jenn like a hawk.::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Moving on cue, Jenn swung her broomstick around and looped around the Gryffindor hoops. As she passed by the middle one, she quickly leaned to the side as though leaning forward to score. Her left hand slipped down and dropped the quaffle to hand at the nook by her foot. As she leaned to the right to divert the keeper, Jenn tried to perform the Crazy Badger kick and kick the quaffle into the left hoop.

Yet her aim wasn’t true as the quaffle barely made it through the hoop, looking as though it would be a few inches short. Jenn held her breath as she watched the quaffle, ready to swoop downwards if needed. Luckily a gust of wind came by and lifted the ball to narrowly slip through the goal without a problem. Jenn let out a sign of relief before flying off.

::Dancing smiled as another goal was made, she hadn't been really there for her team and she was looking forward to trying to help out on the up coming play. She waitted for Jenn to give her a signal of some sorts, she was anxiously bouncing up and down on her broom which was way harder than it sounded.

::Holding her breath before the qwaffle was released she prayed that Jenn would grab hold of it again, for once her prayers were awnsered, now all she need was a sign from Jenn...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn glanced around the field and finally spotted her fellow chaser on the other side of the pitch chasing off various bludgers…or was that butterflies? Shaking her head, she lifted two fingers to her mouth and whistled shrilly to get Dancing’s attention. Achieving that goal brilliantly, she raised her fingers and crossed it to let her know which play would be next. Hearing the sound of the whistle, Jenn jumped to action and was able to grab the quaffle just as it was thrown into play.

Leaning low on her broomstick, she was able to catch up to Dancing as they flew toward the goals together. In unsion, they spun on their broomsticks together performing the Badger Drills. As they spun, they quickly passed the quaffle back and forth so it was a blur as to who actually had the quaffle.

::Dancing rushed forward and juggled the qwaffle back and forth with Jenn it quickly reminded her of the childhood game 'hot potatoe' she smiled then about ten yards before the Gryffindor goals she fainted to the left and hooked her cloak over her arm to look like there was a ball between her arm and her body.

::She raced off to the goals looking like she was about to score she threw empty air at the left goal, pretending to look clueless about where the qwaffle had gone, then listened for the familiar ding to let her know that Jenn had sucessfully passed the qwaffle though the middle hoop.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Subtly catching the quaffle Dancing had passed her at the last minute. Jenn watched as Dancing made a dazzling and dramatic spectacle of scoring a goal. At the exact moment, Jenn flew toward and was able to dart behind the keeper and toss the quaffle in without any hindrance.

Turning her broomstick around, she proceeded toward the center when her broomstick was hit with a bludger and shook uncontrollably. Grabbing the handle with both hands, she was able to steady it under control before it threw her off. “That was a close one,” Jenn remarked with a smile. “At least the bludgers haven’t hit me during this game yet.”

Dancing nodded, "Yet," she reminded her solemly. As she spook she heard a whooshing and ducked without looking as the same bludger flew over her head. "Must have a thing for Smexy Hufflepuffs," She laughed.

::She looked toward the center of the Field, "Ready for another goal for Hufflepuff?" She looked to jenn
