13th House Quidditch: GRYFFINDOR V HUFFLEPUFF: 16th-20th

(Hufflepuff BEater)

:Etta walked in a daze onto the Quidditch pitch, raising her index finger to her mouth she quickly licked it and held it high in the air, determining which direction the wind was blowing for todays game.

Jumping onto her broom, Etta rose caustiously into the air, swinging her beautiful new golden bat, a gift from Agatha of SLytherin who had ate her other one, of course poor Agatha didn't realise that Etta had borrowed her Wizicard and popped ot the shops before this game to have her Bat encased in gold.

Bobbing in the air waiting for someone from Gryffindor to turn up, Etta pulled out her nail varnish and carefully removed her trainers and socks before applying one thin coat of glossy red nail varnish.:

Amber walked unto the field for the game, she had gotten ready early today so that she could keep her vow and actually be at this match. She smiled as she looked around, seeing she was the second person there. See got unto her broom and flew into the air.

Catching sight of what Etta was doing she shook her head, of all the things to do while on a broom. She sighed and looked around waiting for other players to arrive.

Amy flew onto the Quidditch pitch and smiled. Perfect weather conditions for a match. She smiled at Amber as she flew towards one end of the pitch, and nodded at Etta, who was...painting her toenails.

She kept her broom at a steady pace and flew to the goalposts, where she hovered facing the pitch ready for the match to start.

{Commentator}

"Is this thing on? Hello? I don't think it's on. I can't comment on anything anyway because the sun keeps bouncing off Etta's gloden bat and hitting me in the eyes. I'm blind! What? Oh. Haha...they can hear me. Wait, they can hear me?!"

"Darn!" said Rigby. Flashing a apologetic smile at the judges seats, she launched into her coverage of the game.

"Welcome to the 13th House Quidditch Matchup between the Gryffindors and the Hufflepuffs. Gatheirng to the field now is Hufflepuff beater Etta, followed closely by Gryffindor beater Amby! Gryffindor keeper Amy makes an early appearance and now Etta is making her move! She's removing her shoes and socks...is she going to throw them at Amby? No! I cannot believe my eyes, folks, but Etta is painting her toenails! Althiough,that is a stunning shade of red..." Rigby's voice trailed off. This was her first time commenting and there wasn't any action to report. She sighed quietly to herself, knowing that if she were patient the game would pick up.

June ran onto the Quidditch Pitch. Was she late? No, thank god. She flew up into the air and then adjusted her Gryffindor quidditch robes before she tied her long black hair up into a tight ponytail, high up on her head. June glanced at Etta... wait a moment... Was the Hufflepuff Beater actually painting her toenails?! On her broom?! June laughed softly and wondered if that's what happens when you become a grandma. She turned and saw Amy and Amby already on the pitch. "Hey guys!" she called out as she waved.

:Etta quickly waved her toes in a vain attempt to dry her nails before dropping the bottle of red polish straight down on top of the commentater.

"Oops, SORRY!" she squealed as the gloss filled brush landed in Kate's hair. "I'll fix your hair after the match, promise!"

With that said, Etta did a lap of the pitch twinkling her bare keep as she went.

well if you dont have use of the wand the broom is such a good substitue,she thought chasing down a Bludger.

Swinging her arm back, she heard the familiar crunch of contact as the bludger was pelt directly at June, the Gryffindor Chaser.

Unconcerned that she was the only Hufflepuff on the pitch, Etta sped off after another bludger singing the Hufflepuff house song as she went.:

June held onto her broom for dear life when the bludger hit its tip. "I'm too young to die!" she muttered as she swung in circles through the air. When she had finally gotten her broom under control, June glared at Etta. Then, the quaffle was thrown into play. Immediately, June's attention was fixed on her beloved ball and she pressed herself down on her broom. She flew faster and faster towards the quaffle that was hurtling towards the ground and was able to grab it before anyone else did.

Clutching the quaffle tightly under her arm, June flew towards theHufflepuff goal posts. Trying to make it harder for a bludger to hit her, June began to corkscrew to the goalposts. She was able to maintain her sense of balance and when she reached the Hufflepuff goals, June tossed the quaffle into the right hoop. 'Ding!' went the bell and June flew back to the center of the pitch to await the quaffle.

:Not wanting to look like a murderous Badger, Etta roared after another Bludger who most definitely didn't want to be pursued by the fierce looking Beater and her golden bat.

Dropping a few feet in the air, Etta drew level with the bludger, thankful she was no longer wearing her trainers and socks, she hoisted herself to her feet, gripping the broom like an expert monkey, she jumped a couple of foot into the air and cracked her bat down hard into the left side of the Bludger, sending it spinning in a blind speed of chaos straight at Amy the Gryffindor keeper.

"Badger Smash!" she shouted gleefully. I knew those gymnastic classes would work wonders, Etta thought dropping back down onto her broom with ease and elegance, something this badger had never shown in her whole life.

Streams hiccuped slightly as she waved goodbye to Tami the purple dragon, Hufflepuff's unofficial mascot. Then she sighed, straightened her robes, straddled her broom, and set off into the air!

Two embarrassed seconds later, she realized she had forgotten her bat. "Oops," she giggled. "I guess the wine didn't quite wear off yet..."

Stumbling back onto the ground, she rushed into the locker room and was back outside in a flash, waving around her beater's bat. A minute later she was in the air, bat held proudly aloft. "Hahaha prepare to go DOWN, gryffies," she yelled, and accidentally smacked herself in the leg with her bat.

June saw the bludger that hurtled at Amy and narrowed her eyes. No way was their Keeper going to be taken out. She urged her broom forward and faster towards her friend. When she was close enough, June slowed down and came to a stop in the pathway of the incoming bludger. Sheadjusted her aim and when the bludger was close, swung the tail of her broom around, smashing it into the bludger. June was jarred on her broom, but the effect on the bludger was much larger; it went flying back towards Etta.

By this time, the quaffle had been thrown into play and June flew to retrieve it. It barely slipped past her fingers, but on her second lunge, she was able to grab it. With the quaffle in her arms, June flew towards the Hufflepuff goals.

:Etta received the Blduger with glee and wondered if the Gryffindor had taken a rather bad bang to the head as she smacked the Bludger directly at June, watching as it slammed into the Quaffle, knocking the Quaffle from her grasp.

Giggling Etta sped off once more, waving merrily at the Gryffindor supports whilst blowing raspberries at them.:

June cursed as she dropped the quaffle. Thinking about how to jinx Etta, June went into an almost 90 degree dive to retrieve it. Clutching the broom with her legs, June let go with her hands to stretch them as far as she could reach. When she was almost about to give up, June grabbed the quaffle and slowed on her broom. Regaining her breath, June flew up and resumed her journey towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. "Come on," she muttered through gritted teeth as she pushed her Firebolt faster and faster. Her hair flew back in the wind and June threw the quaffle through the center hoop before swiftly swerving to avoid crashing into the pole.

Streams giggled and waved at the stands, and then realized what she was doing. She tapped her head with the Bludger, just enough for her to realize that there was actually a GAME she was supposed to be playing. "Oh, right," she muttered, face falling slightly. She soon cheered up again though, and zoomed off after a bludger.

It zigzagged up and down the pitch and around the players, trying to get away from the dreaded bat, which would interfere with its course. But streams doggedly pursued it till at last she had caught up with the bludger. But she overshot it just a bit because she ended up slightly in front of the bludger. She didn't want to lose the power of her momentum, so, thinking fast, she executed a neat Badger Backhand Blow that send the bludger arcing towards June, who had just scored a goal and seemed to be slightly off balance already anyway.

June heard the whistle of air that meant a bludger was on the way. She quickly clutched her broom tightly with her legs, crossed them, and did a Sloth Grip Roll to avoid it. When the bludger was gone, June righted herself and flew to get the quaffle that had been thrown into play. Grabbing it, June flew towards the Hufflepuff goal posts, evading opposing players and bludgers along the way.

:Noticing Streamers had finally pulled herself out of "common room beach party"mode and was taking care of June, Etta raced after another Bludger.

Spinning, 360degrees four times whilst flying as fast as her broom could go, Etta looked remarkbly like a bult, shooting towards the Bludger.

Arm out, Bat held strong, Etta smashed the Bat into the Bludger and sent it sharply and fast at Amy.:

June reached the Hufflepuff goalposts. She looked around for Amber and signaled her. Her friend nodded and, when a bludger neared her, pelted it at June's head. June threw the quaffle up and ducked. She sighed with relief when the bludger crashed into the quaffle and knocked it through the center hoop. June flew back to the center of the pitch and looked around. It looked like a bludger had hit Amy....

:Etta spotted Polly and Nancy in the crowd each cheering on Hufflepuff, a burst of pride erupted through her body as she turned her broom around and shot off after a Bludger.

With her mind on the previous Etta felt herself take a swing at an oncoming Bludger sending it rocketting into June the Gryffindor Chaser.:

June saw the quaffle get thrown into play. She lunged for it and grabbed it. Suddenly, she saw a bludger heading towards her from out the corner of her eye. What was with all the bludgers? Sighing, June aimed and fired. When the bludger was close, June did a 360 on her broom, using the tail of it to whack the bludger into the Hufflepuff Keeper. 'Maybe I should try out for Beater next year,' she thought, slightly irritated by Etta's obsession with hitting bludgers her way. She shook her head and got back into focus. June flew towards the Hufflepuff goal posts, flying in large loops to avoid any more bludgers, and flew to the left hoop. With the Keeper out of the way, it was easy for June to score through the hoop.

:Cursing June and her escape from the Blduger, Etta chased down another one, she wouldnt be happy until she had saw the poor chaser in pain, something which she had inherited from her father no doubtly.

time for the MollyCoddle, thought Etta, chasing the bludger, she enveloped it with her quidditch robes, enabling her to balance the bludger on her bat and protect it from the wind, kicking hard, Etta flew staright at June until there was a mere ten yards between the two, finally, with a look of angelicness, Etta whipped her robes open, freeing the bludger and smacking it straight at June's face.:

Cris entered the pitch just in time to see June score. "Go Gryffindoooor!", she shouted, while hopping on her broom and bulleting upwards. She was enjoying the wind and sun in her face thinking it was such a pity they weren't allowed to wear bikinis during the match, becuase it would indeed help a lot to overcome the cheesy-ness of her skin - when she spotted a glittering golden something at the far end of the pitch. "Heeeere I cooome!", she cried eagerly and began following it joyfully, slaloming around the other players.

June bit her lip to keep from crying out in pain when the bludger smashed into her. June hovered in mid-air as she carefully massaged her face. "Oh no you didn't" June muttered through her hands. Determined to get her revenge on her not-so-arthritic grandmother, June's head shot up when the quaffle was released... Which caused her to wince in pain once more. Grrrr..... June flew to get the quaffle and elbowed a Hufflepuff chaser out of the way. "Sorry," she called as she zoomed off to the Hufflepuff goal posts. The quaffle was clutched tightly under her arm, but unfortunately, June loosened her grip when another pang of pain shot through her neck. The quaffle fell faster than June thought possible and the Gryffindor immediately forgot about her pain. She pressed her broom down and murmured, "Come on... faster!" as she dived for the quaffle. She reached it and was able to pull out of the dive well, despite the distraction of pain. June resumed her course towards the Hufflepuff goal posts and in a rage, spiked the quaffle through the center hoop as if she was in vollleyball.. which she wasn't, but so what? June had scored for Gryffindor!

"Thats my granddaughter you know," Etta shouted with pride as she drifted over the heads of the crowd. "All i had to do was beat her up with a bludger, she takes after her great-grandmother, poor thing, too soft and gentle for a game of quidditch thats what they all said but i....."

Suddenly she halted in mid air and growled, this was a Quidditch game, she was a lone badger since the rest of her team were still partying in the common room, no child or granchild of hers would distract her.

Dropping low onto her broom, Etta pressed down hard and sped off like a cheetah looking for dinner, finally she found what she she wanted, both Bludgers.

"BAdger Bludgen!!!" screamed Etta as she launched herself down to the Bludgers and with a quick handstand for fun, she lined her broom up with the bludgers and smashed her bat into them both, sperating them and sending them screaming at Cris and June of Gryffindor. "Love you girlies!"

(Gryffindor Chaser)

"Love you too Grandma!" June shouted as she saw the two bludgers racing towards her and Cris. "I'll take care of these," June whispered to her sister. She mentally and physically prepared for her play of Chaser-pretending-to-be-Beater. June aimed and, using the tail of her broom, hit the bludger aimed at her towards a Hufflepuff Chaser and she was about to hit the other bludger when she saw a glittering gold ball at the other end of the pitch. Using the tail of her broom once more, June tried (and succeeded!) to nudge the fast-moving ball onto a different angle. The Bludger hit the tip of Cris's broom, causing it to spin off in another direction... near the snitch! "Go get it Sis!" June cried. She checked her bludger and saw that it had succeeded in crashing into the Hufflepuff chaser.

'Wonderful,' she thought. June grabbed the quaffle which had fallen from the chaser's hands and flew with it towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. June flew quickly with only one destination in mind: the center hoop. When she reached it, June threw the quaffle with all of her might towards the left hoop, but then, using the tail of her broom, smashed it into the center hoop with its added momentum. "Yes!" she cheered.

Streams, who had NOT been partying, but has dozed off lightly on her broom with the breeze caressing her face, awoke with a jolt. She did not like what June had been doing. Etta was to the left of June, and streams had a sudden idea as a Bludger pelted towards her out of what seemed to be nowhere.

She drew back, and with one clean swing she had the Bludger smash right into the tail of June's broom. It splintered and seemed to make a loud whining noise, and a chunk of it fell completely off. A crack ran down the length of the entire broom, and streams knew that June would have to fly her best just to stay aloft. She could forget about hitting things with the tail of her broom now!

Meanwhile, the bludger, its path slowed slightly by its interaction with June's broom, veered off to the left, directly towards Ettie. streams trusted she would know what to do with it.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Jenn sniffled a bit as she stuffed a few tissues in her pocket for good measure. With her broomstick in one hand, she quickly jogged out to the quidditch pitch. A bit late but at least the game's not over yet! Thank goodness. Approaching the purple pristine quidditch field (courtesy of Elfie's redesigning the field in honor of the purple hippo) Jenn shielded her eyes for a moment as she glanced up in the middle of the game. Grinning to herself, she was very relieved that there werent too many people here yet. And her beaters were already out and ready to create havoc throughout the game. As she threw one leg over her broomstick, Jenn crotched low on the ground and bounced upwards quickly to gain momentum.

As she shot up into the air, Jenn noticed streams had just knocked a bludger straight at June's broomstick. She cringed to herself at the loud crack the impact made. Just then she realized that this would cause June's attention to waver a bit. Moving into action, Jenn leaned forward and lunged in the direction the quaffle was falling as it came back into play. As her fingers grasped the quaffle tightly, she felt herself start to lose her balance. Throwing herself forward, she was about to right herself up in time with the quaffle safely shielded by her body and the broomstick.

June cursed when her broom splintered. 'Thank god thank god thank god,' she thought as she remembered her latest birthday present. June attempted to balance on a broken broom as she flew downwards. She landed, staggered a bit, and quickly ran to the Gryffindor locker room. There, she opened her locker, lovingly placed her broken broom inside, and pulled out her new one: Her 13th birthday present. It had a practically invincible anti-breaking charm on it, so June didn't have to worry about this Firebolt getting broken. She kicked off from the ground on the Pitch and flew up into the air. The quaffle was thrown into play and Jenn got to it. As she flew off, June raced after her. "That quaffle is mine," she muttered. Putting force behind it, June punched the quaffle out from the safety of Jenn's arm in a fury. How dare streams break her beloved broom?! How dare she render incapable the broom that had faithfully carried June through numerous Quidditch games and that had hit so many bludgers for her?! June was irate and she zoomed off, as fast as a bullet, towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. No way were any other chasers or bludgers going to stop her. There was absolutely no way.

June reached the goal posts and, as defiance to the Hufflepuff Beater who had broken her broom, June threw the quaffle up into the air. Aiming through her rage, June hit it with the tail of her broom and it slammed through the right hoop.

...She would get her revenge....

Cris had just had time to see with the corner of her eye that June had scored, when she realised she was being spinned, without doing anything to help it, in the direction of the snitch. "Thanks, June!", she cried and hurried off. She was so fast that her face felt like it would soon fall off her head and she realised she had probably gotten to the limit of her broom's capacity. She tried to gain an advantage of aerodynamics by lifting her legs onto the broom and bending, practically almost lying on the broom. She didn't even dare to look down and had a slight feeling she'd better not, so she kept her eyes on the snitch. With horror did she realise that the snitch has heading straight into the tribunes, so she was forced to brake in order to avoin collision with the crowd while the snitch escaped between their feet. "Oh great!", she thought, then she realised June had returned on a brandnew broom. "Hey - are you ok?", she asked, then added winking: "Hope Etta will be good on you for calling her grandma, you know she doesn't like it."

June flew over to her sister. "I'm okay," she said. "Just very very very angry at streams." June turned to glare over her shoulder at the Hufflepuff. "And all Etta can do is hit me with more bludgers!" She laughed. Seeing the quaffle getting released, June said, "Oh, gotta go Cris! Good luck with the snitch!" She flew off and snatched the quaffle out of the air. With it tucked under her arm, June flew towards the Hufflepuff goal posts.

streams couldn't believe june had found a new broom so quickly. growling under her breath, she chased after a bludger. "Time for nasty badger," she muttered, and smashed the bludger at June, aiming for her arms which held the Quaffle yet again. She chased it though, with the Crafty Double Blow and smashed it again, making it gain power and momentum. She still flew alongside it, and slammed it once more. There was no doubt now that it would crash straight into June, with the force of three blows rather than one, and it would make her drop the quaffle. Streams hoped she'd break both her arms.

June heard some crashes behind her and turned her head to look. There was streams... chasing after a bludger, hitting it one, two, no THREE times. The poor person that would get hit... wait a moment... it was heading right towards her! Quaffle under arm, June quickly fle straight up and double dback the way she'd come, so that she passed over the bludger. Quickly, June doubled back once more so she was now heading towards the Hufflepuff goal posts. To avoid further bludgers, June went on the Roaring Rollercoaster... She flew downwards, and then, from a downwards angle, flew up, then down, then up continuously. Flying this way, June reached the Hufflepuff goal posts.

As Jenn sped forward the catch the fallen quaffle, she felt her eyes start to dry up. But in this fast paced game, she didn't dare to close her eyes for one second. As she swooped down, she was able to catch the quaffle in time when the bludgers streams hit made the quaffle drop.

Grasping the with the quaffle still grasped tightly to her body, Jenn noticed that Streams had read her mind and cleared the way for her to score with a well aimed bludger at June. Nodding at her lovely beater, she flew toward the Gryffindor hoops with her eyes straight ahead. Just as she reached the goal posts, a bludger shot out of nowhere causing Jenn to swerve her broomstick sideways as she flew between the goal posts, unable to stop. Lifting her right arm, she pulled back and threw the quaffle through the left hoop with a loud swish.

Gripping her broomstick tightly, Jenn pulled the broomstick to a sudden halt and nearly flew into the judges stands. "Sorry!" Jenn yelled out with a impish grin.

June cursed mentally as the bludger turned out to boomerang and come after her after all. Sighing, she chased after Jenn who had caught the quaffle. At first, it seemed like a lost cause because Jenn was nearing the Gryffindor goals every second that passed.... and then a bludger interfered... but it didn't interfere enough. Jenn scored and June's eyes narrowed murderously. she flew to the middle of the pitch and when the quaffle was released, June snatched it before a Hufflepuff could. Signaling Amber, June flew towards the Hufflepuff goals with her friend covering her. When she reached the goal posts, June turned and threw the quaffle to her friend. Amber hit it with her Beater's bat towards the center hoop. June smiled and flew up in the path of the quaffle. When the quaffle flew past her, June hit it with all her might and it went through the hoop!

June flew back to the middle of the pitch. Then, she saw raptotech. flying towards him, she said, "You're not supposed to be here. The Spectator Stands are where people cheer."

(Gryffindor subsitute Beater)

Becca ran outside to the pitch with her broom, angry with herself for arriving late. She mounted it and quickly kicked off, holding her beater bat threateningly. She glanced around, seeing where everyone was. She smiled for a second before hearing something whiz right after her. She turned quickly, etting the bludger go past before it turned back at her. She smiled evilly and took a huge hit at it, cracking it right towards streamsy.

"oops," she muttered before speeding off in the other direction.

"Becca!" June cried when she saw her friend come onto the pitch. Laughing evilly, June watched as the bludger hit by Becca hit Streams in her beating arm. Her broken broomstick was still on her mind. Then, the quaffle was once again thrown into play. "I've got it!" June cried as she lunged for the ball and caught it by the tips of her fingers. She tucked it carefully under her arm and flew off towards the Hufflepuff goal posts.

streams winced and clenched her teeth, willing herself not to scream as the bludger slammed into her right hand. She quickly grabbed her bat with her left before it could fall to the ground. Bending over her right hand, she tried to move her fingers, but a white-hot pain went shooting up her arm at the slightest move. So she hugged it close to her body as she hefted the bat in her left hand.

Mentally thanking Jenn for forcing her to practice on both hands, streams twirled the bat, exercising her left hand before she would attempt to hit any bludgers. then she began zooming up and down the pitch, testing how fast she could go if she held onto the broomstick with just with her legs.

Chelle took flight and circled the pitch, her eye on both the play and looking for that valuable golden snitch.

She noticed the gryffindor chaser making her way towards the hufflepuff hoops and decided to fly straight past her and around her to try to disorientate her enough to drop the quaffle before scoring, making sure she was committing no fowls. Grinning, she saw the quaffle become unsteady in the chasers hands

:Etta clenched her teeth in anger.

no-one calls me grandma, she thought savagely, looking for a bludger.

Her bat held out, a Bludger in front of June and with as much speed her broom could reach, Etta swooped up and flew straight for the Bludger, crashing into June.

::Dani swore as Etta's owl pooped on her head, opening her eyes to realize it was morrning she jumped out of bed and didn't even change she wipped at the bird poo before running down the stairs. In the Locker room she threw on her quidditch robe over her pink bunny pjs and hopped on her broom.

::She spotted the game already more than halfway done, cursing her late sleeping she soared into the air, pink bunnies flapping in the wind. She saw June with the qwaffle and went low and fast under her, before she could reach the hufflepuff goals Dani lauched upwards and grabbed the qwaffle out of her arms. She laughed evilly and headed for the Gryffindor's goals.

As a strand of dark hair whipped across her face, Jenn noticed that Dani had arrived for the game. Grinning her pleasure at the sight of the fellow chaser, she quickly flew forward. Her grin widened as she saw Dani immediately steal the quaffle from the other team. Jenn bit her lip for a moment as she didn't want to break her concentration. Catching Dani's nod, she flew forward to position herself near the Gryffindor goalposts just as their next move required. As she looked ahead, another bludger was flying right for her. Grabbing her broomstick with both hands, she pulled herself upwards a bit and narrowly missed getting hit. Performing the Wollongong Shimmy, Jenn clutched her head a bit as the swift zig zag motion made her a bit dizzy.

Shaking her head a bit, she stopped her broomstick and positioned herself underneath the goals and waited for the next move. Timing was essential in the next part.

::Dani saw Jenn below her and gave her a nod, she zipped to the goals with a smile on her face, their keeper was looking at her ready to make the save but Dani just winked at them and shot upwards looking down underneath her she let the qwaffle go. Hoping, no praying that jen would catch it.

Jenn kicked up her heels and zipped upwards to catch the purposely falling quaffle. With her arms outstretched she found that she was just short of the quaffle. Cursing herself and the short body, Jenn leaned farther to the left and was just able to grasp the quaffle with her fingertips. Balancing it carefully on her fingertips, Jenn let out a sigh of relief until she realized that she was still flying upward with a swift speed.

With one hand wrapped around the broomstick, Jenn leaned her weight to the left causing her broomstick to tilt a bit to the side and drop. Lifting her right arm, she quickly tossed it into the hoop as she heard the bell ding for a goal well scored. Smiling , Jenn pulled her broomstick upwards and back into the game.

Becca swore as she saw june falling. She speed off, barely catching her friend. She set her down gently and then noticed the bludger coming right for them. She speed upward and smacked it as hard as she could back at Etta.

Becca flew the rest of the way back up. Dang, Jenn had scored for the huffles. She sighed and speed off around the pitch, looking out for anymore of those nasty bludgers.

:Normaly one to question why a Beater would hit a Bludger at another Beater, Etta simply shugged her shoulders and took the speeding Bludger Head on.

With a tight grip on her bat, she brouight her arm down hard, slamming the golden bat into the bludger and watching as it richoched across the pitch straight at the Gryffindor Keeper.:

Streams had finally reached some semblance of balance on her broom and swooped down the pitch, looking for a bludger to whack. At last she saw one whirling around in the center of the pitch. Streams drew back her arm for a practice swing and realized that her aim was a little off. It swung more to the right than she intended, because she hadn't done as much practice with her left hand as Jenn had cautioned her to do.

Sighing, she decided to align herself a bit extra to the left and hope for the best. She paused near the bludger for a minute, trying to decide who to whack it towards, when she saw the snitch fluttering right near the gryffie seeker. "Come on...don't turn around," she muttered, and smacked the bludger at Cris.

The gryffie seeker dodged just in time, but the bludger collided with the snitch with a THUNK. The snitch zoomed off, disappearing into the distance, and streams grinned as she saw Cris look horribly disappointed.

Amy hurried back onto the pitch after being absent for most of the game. She muttered a quick apology to her teammates, but deputy-headmistressly duties called sometimes!

She took up position near the goalposts, feeling annoyed as she knew that Jenn had just scored. She sighed, and looked out onto the game, determined to save any further goals.

:Etta clapped as Amy ran back onto the pitch and watched as her daughter flew to the Gryffindor goal posts, deciding to welcome her back in true Etta Motherly lobe style, she swooped on a Bludger zooming straight past her.

Arm out, smile wide, she was pretending to be de-weeding the gardens when Etta smacked that Bludger with as much love as she possibly could sending it ricocheting at Amy with deadly force.:

Becca zoomed to meat the bludger before it hit amy, seeing as it was going straight for her. She quickly caught up, passing it and then swirving back around, hitting it toward Jenny. She giggled before zooming off in the other direction, making sure the Gryff chasers were covered.

Cris was still zooming along the field, quite bored with the fact that the snitch hadn't shown up in such a long time, when she suddenly spotted a mysterious object next to the ear of Jenn, one of the Huffie chasers. She wondered about the manner how the snitch was seeming to be attached to her, but didn't stop to think about it. Instead, she zoomed as fast as she could towards Jenn, who didn't seem to notice. Unfortunately, there was also a dangerous bludger coming from Becca and she could bet her life that they would all collide brutally. While thinking what to do in this situation, her eyes fell on the stands, where she saw Draco Malfoy perform a spell - the look on his face was concentrated and even though it was a non-verbal spell (and too far away to hear anythiong, anyway), she quickly realised what he was doing by looking at the direction his wand was pointing to - right to the snitch. She cursed under her breath, because, after all, it was forbidden to attack the spectators - but then she had a better idea. She flew in front of the snitch, blocking Draco's sight of the snitch and achieved just what she wanted - the snitch now flew away and she followed right on its tail, not waiting to see whether Jenn had been hit by the bludger or not. She accelerated and in the end couldn't believe her own senses when she got to grab the snitch in her fist. "We won!", she shouted merrily, and flew down to wait for her team.
