Weather: The cold weather continues, with harsh frost in the mornings and bitter winds during the day.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"NOOOOOOO!" Schuyler moaned as she lost the quaffle to the Slytherin chaser's punch and mentally beat herself with a club for zoning out. Crud, now there was a new complication. Sighing, and just a little red from embarrasment, Skie flew after the quaffle thinking about getting hot chocolate after the game. The sooner you end it, the sooner you get chocolate, she thought to herself. Spinning into a nose dive straight for the Slytherin Chaser, Skie aimed and fired. Hurtling down was an uneasy feeling, she thought. As the Slytherin chaser gained speed, Schuyler realized that she was either going to crash into the chaser or crash into the chaser and die, and she made her decision. Grabbing her broom and ignoring the quaffle, Skie pulled her broom up to the sky, hoping and praying that it would be enough to keep her in the air. Hearing the snapping sound of twigs as her broom buckled underneath her sharp turn, she winced.

"I loved you Mr. Broomy," she said to her old friend. "So let's make this a game we'll both remember." Schuyler's determination returned, and her confidence soared. There was no way she was going down. From her vantage point in the air, Skie looked down and saw that the chaser was about 5 meters below her and ready for play. 'Gotcha,' she though grimly.

[Slytherin Chaser]

Ame arrived at the goals quicker than she had expected. She had to pull up on her broom quickly to slow down a bit or else she would be eating metal pole. She really had no other choice but to try to play a little game of chicken with the keeper. She continued straight at the goals and as she was about to pass over head, she easily tossed the quaffle in the highest hoop. Her momentum carried her over the goals and almost into Hogsmaede. She waited in anticipation for that magical ding.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

"Dang it all!" Rose kicked the air as she saw Ame knock the quaffle out of Skie's arms. She watched in horror as she saw Ame approching, but gave a sigh of relife when Dani punched the ball out of the Slytherins' arms. She watched the ball as it fell down to the cold, hard ground below.
" Come on, somebody get it!"
But it was to late. Ame had regained control of the quaffle and was heading right for Rose!
"Oh, god, what do I do!?!" Rose began to panic. "I've never done this befor!"

(Slytherin Keerp and Captain)

Raistlin looked at all the comotion in the other side of the field and felt a bit disconcerted

"Amateurs" he said in an look when you feel ashamed for others.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Rose was frozen on the spot as Ame was comeing closer ans closer to her. Oh, no! No no no! She had done what she had feared most. She was frozen stiff. The only thing Rose could think about was all the people watching her. Ame through the ball, and Rose tried with all her might to stop it, but her muccels would not unlock.

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin was now feeling pity and anger, he talked to Etta

"Is that who you bring to play against us? Do you think we're so easy to beat like that? I'm offended!"

Raistlin was more mad the anger for no moving then worried about scoring

"C'mon move! It's not that difficult! You just have to block the red thing flying towards you!"

Raistlin heard Slytherin supporters 'booing' he turned to the stands

"WHAT!? She's annoying me i cant stand inneficency! Oh shut up I'm the one here not you all!"

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Raistlin's harsh words brought Rose out of her frozen state. Yes, Slytherin had just scored. Yes, it was her fault for not stopping the stupid red ball.
"I-I'm sorry, Etta! I didn't mean to-you know I-I-oh, I'm so sorry, everyone!"
Rosalie's face turned red in a flash. She shook her hair in her face so nobody could see.
"I won't freeze up agian, I promise!"

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin rolled his eyes

"I'm getting too old for this" he muttered under his breath.

His bended legs were starting to show stress signs.

"They better get here soon or i'll have to do this move in other game." he thought to himself.

[Hufflepuff Chaser]

Glancing towards Rose, she saw that the keeper that froze up in some form of 'stage' fright...quidditch fright? Flying towards her she shouted in encouragment "Come on Rose, you can do it!"

(Slytherin Beater)

Rocky watched the action, still shuddering from the chills, eventually flying over to make sure Kitty was doing all right. Looking into her eyes for a moment, he then examines her, taking in the hair, the robes, and the drowsiness.

"Get your butt back on the ground, you're in no condition to be flying, let alone be playing Quidditch!" he said to Kitty vociferously, his right arm gesturing wildly towards the ground. Turning his broom almost on its tail, Rocky shot up and to the right of Kitty, having just spotted a Bludger spinning its way towards the love of his life.

Rushing headlong into the Bludger's path, Rocky is forced to drop into a steep dive as the other Bludger tries to take his head off. Swerving to the right, he pulls up to attempt to resume his interception of the Bludger that was still heading for Kitty. Risking a brief look towards the Slytherin Chaser, he steers his broom in to cut right in front of the second Bludger, aware that the first Bludger was hot on his tail.

Shaking his club free from his robes, he begins to spin it by the loop connected to the butt, whirling it faster and faster as he closes in on the second Bludger. Getting within inches of the iron orb in front of him, he lashes out with his bat, wielding his club like a flail to send the black sphere hurling towards Schuyler. Whipping in a tight arc back around, he watches the Bludger get even closer before he zooms off. Flying as fast as he can in a straight line towards Dani, rising up on his broom as he does so. Turning his back on Dani, he watches the iron sphere get closer and closer as his broom slows. Watching the Bludger zoom in his filed of vision, he executes a back flip, Booting the black orb over his head directly at Dani.

As soon as his foot had connected, however, he knew he had reached into his bag of tricks one to many times. Knowing that the kick had slowed his momentum too much to even hope of reaching his broomstick. Oh, bloody hell, he thought as he began to fall, not again.

Hurtling through the air, Rocky spread his arms and legs, looking like he was parachuting from an airplane, praying he wasn't high enough to break every bone in his body. Still plummeting towards the pitch, Rocky closes his eyes mere moments from hitting the ground, flattening his body as much as possible to lessen the impact to any single part of his body.

Slamming chest first into the ground, Rocky feels pain blasting through every single nerve of his body, then a black wave of unconsciousness sweeps through his mind, obliterating thought.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Rose glanced at Dragon, her words of encouragement began to make the lump in her throat swallowable (I don't care if thats not a word). What was she thinking? These wern't just her teammates, these were here family. She lived with these people. They wouldn't brush her off for one mess-up. Rose smiled and waved at Dragon.
"Thanks!" She called out to her friend. "I really needed that!"
With a sudden jolt of happiness, Rose through her hands in the air.
"Ok, let the game begin! I am ready for you now!"

(Slytherin Beater)

Jess yawned... it seemed like tiredness had swallowed her.. and she had fallen asleep on her broom. She stretched her arms out and yawned in an attempt to wake herself up. If only she had coffee. She grinned at the Gilmorism of that thought, and pulled out her wand. With a wave and a meaningless word A cup appeared out of thin air and coffee poured out of the sky straight into the newfound cup. She grimaced a little at the black coffee and nudged her wand, making two sugar cubes fall like hale into her cup. The heavenly aroma reached her nose and with a smile she took a sip, and tried to focus on the game.

All she could see so far was that rose was getting into the game with the help of Dragon... Pesky little dragon. When she had been awake it was obvious that she was causing all sorts of trouble...

With one eye on the girl. She searched for a bludger. It didnt take long before she found one heading ironically straight towards herself. She leaned back and right as the bludger swooped in towards her she aimed and smacked...

The bludger soared across the pitch towards dragon.....

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Streams grinned at Jess' pathetic attempt to hit a bludger at Dragon. "I love ya girl, but try smacking bludgers without half your mind on coffee!" she shouted, and intercepted the bludger lazily and without much effort. For all of Rai's grumbling about the incompetent Huffie team, his team didn't seem to be that well trained if they took coffee breaks in middle of a game...

Concentrating, she leaned low on her broom and smacked the bludger downward, playing for time as she considered what maneuver to execute. Smirking happily at how nice 'execute' sounded in conjunction with bludgers, even in her head, Streams decided on the BeaterBadgerDance, coined by the wonderful Huffie team captain, Ettie.

She dove underneath the bludger and bounced it off her bat with satisfying thunks as she did a quick figure 8 loop in the air, all the while bouncing the bludger. She considered for a moment and then lobbed it at Rai, because he was being extremely annoying and pompous. Besides, the Huffies could always use a little help scoring...

[Hufflepuff Chaser]

"Where did the quaffle go?" she muttered under her breath. Scanning the pitch she wobbled on her broom as a gust of icy wind blew past the field making all the banners twirl in the air.

The slytherin one seem to flop around as it hit...the quaffle! Diving towards the ball hidden, fallen behind the banner. She winced as the banner flapped and slapped against her broom. Wobbling again, she reached out and grabbed the qiaffle and held is against her so it won't fall.

Looking up, she saw Streams do a figure 8 in the air as she rose up and flew towards the Slytherin hoops...

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"Go, go go!" Streams murmured, watching happily as her bludger zoomed closer and closer to Rai. It was heading for dead center but coming in from the side, so Rai would have to go up or down really quickly or fly completely out of the scoring area...in any case, the hoops would be unguarded for a good 5 seconds or so, and she hoped Dragon would take advantage of this as she flew towards the hoops with the Quaffle in her arms...

[Hufflepuff Chaser]

'Go Streams' she mentally cheered when she saw that Streams had hit the bludger to the keeper.

Just slowing down a tad bit, she watched as the bludger flew towards the keeper and then streaked towards the hoops when he flew away to get away from the bludger.'Distractions are good' she nodded to herself as the quaffle spiraled through the air and drop straight in the hoop

Slytherin Keeper and Captain

Raistlin observed the sudden Beaters activity he knew that would turn against him again. BANG! There it was not much later streams wacked a bludger t him and dragon was getting close to the goal posts.

"Okay let's play" he hissed.

Raistlin grabbed his broom with both hands and as he was hunched over it, it was easy for him to take his feet of the broom and roll his body to the right. He was now suspendend below his broom brabbing it only with both hands.

"And there is goes a bludger" he said grinning.

As he had been above the goal posts level his body was now on the same level as the goas posts, when the quaffle passed near him he tried to kick it but instead of sending it away it went straight to one of the hoops.

"Shoot, time to break some bones now!"

With effort Raistlin got back on his broom.

(Sorry...I only hinted that probably you'd have to dodge, cuz it annoys me as well when people play for me. However, you've been acting pompous this game, so maybe it's your turn to be annoyed. 9th House Quidditch: Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin: 10th-14th - Page 2 410894

I would like to point out that even if you were ABOVE the goal posts, not only would you have been further from preventing the Quaffle scoring, you'd have still had to wait for the bludger to whistle by before attempting to block the Quaffle. I realize though that was a decision you'd have liked to make, so sorry, like I said.)

HUFFLEPUFF BEATER

Streams grinned hugely, partly because Rai had done some sort of handstand on his broom and his face was now...um, purple, and partly because Dragon had scored! "Gooo Dragon!" she screamed, pumping a fist into the air. The bludger zoomed by and she swerved to the left to avoid it for the moment as her eyes were scanning the pitch. "I wish our seeker was here..." she mumbled, and then set off to chase a bludger.

(It wasnt you who annoyed me. Anyway I made a mistake in one word upthere. And with what i meant to do i wouldnt have to wait the bludger to pass to defend the quaffle cuz they're were on very different levels/positions, but that's okay I'll try it another time.)

Slytherin Keeper and Captain

Raistlin was madly flying around the hoops trying to sooth his anger.

"I swear I miss by beaters days" he said viciously looking at Dragon.

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

Rose yelled exitedly as Dragon shot the ball through one of the Slytherin goal posts. Yay, Hufflepuff was doing awsome! Rose looked down only to notice that Skie broom, Mr. Broomy, had snapped.
"Oh no!" Rose felt bad for her friend. She cuffed her hands to her mouth and shouted to Skie, "Don't worry, Skie! I will take you to Hogsmade later, and we will get you another broom!"
She saw Skie smile up at her, and Rose began to warm up on her broom, practicing figure eights.

(Slytherin Seeker)

It was her second game as Seeker and she hoped she could do her team good like she did the last time. Really, she still couldn’t believe she had caught the snitch. It really had been amazing.

Cat made it quickly to the field. She smiled when she saw the pitch and got on her broom. She hoped Raisty wouldn’t be mad at her being late. (she really does need to get on time some day)

She flew up and let her eyes sweep the field, hoping for a glimpse of the flying gold ball.

(Slytherin Keeper and Captain)

Raistlin was still very angry when he saw a flash of green running to the pitch.

"Could it be?" he wondered.

Then moments later Cat was flying in the field.

"SEEKER!" he shouted "SEEKER ON THE FIELD"!

A person could here the crowd in awe.

"C'mon bring us that shinning piece of golden victory!"

He was not very excited now signs of the huffle seeker so this could mean an easy catch to slytherin.

(Slytherin Seeker)

Cat smiled at Raisty and did a salute, saying, “Aye, aye Captain!” She giggled before letting her eyes scan the field again.

Cat grinned as se saw something speed past Streams. She quickly sped towards the ball, following it past Streams and around the field. She might actually catch it again. She reached out, holding the broom with her other hand. She was so close, so very close.

For what seemed to her like forever, she followed the ball, just out of reach. And then….she had it! She had caught the snitch!

Raistlin was still chearing when Cat started racing

"What? Already?" he said surprised.

He watched her sped across the field in persuing of the golden globe. Then after some time he saw increduously as she caught the snitch.

"Girl you left no time for the public to enjoy your skills! Good job" he said and then started to land, he was dying to leave the pitch, take a bath, drink tea and return to his studies.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"That was...fast..." Streams muttered, slightly taken aback by Cat rushing past her. It seemed as though she had materialized in midair..."Ah well, good game Huffies!" she shouted, and thought that she could finally cuddle up near the fireplace in the Huffie common room with a good book...

(Hufflepuff Keeper)

...Had the Slytherin seeker, who had only just arived, actually caught the little golden ball? Rose staired at her in dismay.

"Um, wow, I never saw that one comming..." Rose felt sad that they had lost and it was her first game, but Streams seemed to be ok with it, as she shouted praise the all the Hufflepuff players.

"Yeah", said Rose, cheering up a little. "We did do good."
Well, at least everybody else did, she added silently. So Hufflepuff lost, big deal. There would be more games soon.

Flying over to Skie, Rose gave high-five to Dragon, who happed to be flying past her.

"Lets go back, Skie", Rose sid to her friend. "time for some hot chocolate, my treat."
