Holidays Drabble Challenge

Your challenge here is to write a Christmas, or holiday themed drabble. A drabble is a short, self-contained fiction, which should ideally be exactly 100 words long.

Prompt: Christmas in the HP world
Length: Exactly 100 words, or as close as possible (10 words more or less)
Characters: Any
Genre: Any

Points:
1st place: 100 housepoints
2nd place: 80 housepoints
3rd place: 60 housepoints
Everyone who enters: 30 housepoints

“Shh,” James Potter said holding the sixth year girl’s hand as he led her up a few flights of stairs. “Be quiet Lily we don’t want to get caught.”

The girl, Lily, giggled and covered her mouth with her free hand and followed James. “Where are we going?” She asked after a while.

“Here,” James said and pulled her close to him in a small room over the Gryffindor Dorms, above them was a small spring of Mistletoe.

“James!” Lily said half way resisting as she put her hands in fists between them.

“Lily,” he said softly before kissing her.

Christmas, how he hated that holiday.

He looked across the room and saw Lily sitting there with Potter’s arm slung around her waist. His eyes betrayed sadness as he watched them walk together.

His hands slipped inside his pockets and he felt the sharp edge of a small box poke out. Lifting it out like it was made of glass, he sadly opened the box and looked at the small glittery snowflake necklace that he had hoped to give to Lily.

Slipping it back into his robes, Severus spun on his heels and left the hall, feeling more along than ever.

Winky looked down at the package in front of her. It was haphazardly wrapped, and lain on her bed, on top of a pile of bottles. She sat down on her bed, and began opening it, tucking her bare feet under her for warmth.

She finished unwrapping it, and saw that there was a sloppily scrawled note, which she had to squint at in order to understand. Although her former Master had taught her to read, the butterbeer was clouding her vision.

"Dobby knows you need them more than he does. Merry Christmas"

Slowly, she opened the package, and saw inside were two socks-one red, and one green. She smiled.

Harry looked into Ginny’s eyes. It was Christmas morning, and they had a rare moment alone together. “I love you,” he whispered, not wanting to risk waking Ron and his family.

She smiled. “I love you, too.”

He handed her a small box wrapped in gold paper. While she was focused on opening it he got on one knee. When she had the box opened and saw the ring, she gasped, looking at him. “Will you marry me, Ginny?”

“Yes, of course I will.” He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her.

“Happy Christmas, Ginny.”

“Happy Christmas, Harry.”

Ron jumped up from his bed, it was Christmas Eve, he took a small package with a deep red bow upon it. He stepped out of the dormitory excited to give his carefully prepared gift. Hermione was standing in a nearby hallway. Smiling, he took a few steps down the hallway Hermione looked over at him expectantly but just as she mouthed the words 'Thank you', Ron walked past unoticingly, presenting the gift to Fleur Delacour who looked disgusted. Ron shrugged and turned around presenting the gift to Hermione

"Merry Christmas Hermione!" Ron said happily

"Merry Christmas to you too Ron..." Hermione said with a swift slap to the face.

Luna walked into the Great Hall and started to look around at all of the other student enjoying themselves, dancing out on the floor. Looking off to her right she spotted Ginny and quickly made her way over to her.

“I wouldn’t stand close to that tree” Luna said

“Why?” Ginny asked her with a confused look on her face.

“I thought that I just saw a treejuemen there just awhile ago.” She replied.

“What?” Ginny asked.

“Why make people act like their drunk if they get too close to their trees” she simply stated trying to drag her away from it.

Snape, in shiny red dress robes, twirled about the Great Hall. Despite blaring rock music, Snape’s movements were graceful. It looked like…. The Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies.

“What’s up with Snape? Is he actually dancing?” asked Harry

“I don’t think that can be classified as dancing, mate.” said Ron.

“Neville Longbottom!”

Snape suddenly stopped dancing. Harry and Ron turned to see a furious Snape looming over a cowering Neville. The dancing Snape had reverted back into a boggart. Harry and Ron collapsed into laughter , watching Snape drag Neville from the Yule Ball.

“Excellent Christmas gift, Neville!” cried Ron.

“It’s Christmas Eve – what are you doing out here?!”

He whipped around, searching for the source of the angry screeching. A Quaffle, bewitched to fly towards him, hit him smartly on the side of his head. Letting out an aggravated noise, Oliver swooped down to catch the ball before he landed. A shivering Gryffindor stood in front of the posts, staring him down.

“Katie, the question isn’t about my being down here – you knew I would be.”

“There’s a party…”

“And it’s absolutely necessary I’m there?”

“If I get stuck under the mistletoe, I don’t want anyone-”

She was cut off by a kiss. Hey, who needs mistletoe?

Hermione glanced around curiously at all the marvelous things the Weasley's had used for decorations. As she approach what was suppose to be stockings hanging from the magical fireplace; she couldn't help but smile.

The raggedy old socks looked like they've been around for years and they smelled like Fred and George used dung bombs in them. Just as she entered the kitchen Ron approached.

"Hermione, there you are. I've been looking everywhere for you."

"Oh, sorry Ron. I was glancing around. I noticed your stockings." Hermione said trying to sound excited about them.

"Ya they were Aunt Titly's"

"Oh, there lovely." Hermione begin to blush.

The Hogwarts castle was coated in snow, many students bustling about, preparing for the upcoming Christmas. Many of the students were sneaking around to secluded corners of the school, spending time with a special someone. The ones left isolated were searching for someone.

Ginny rounded a corner of the castle, crashing into Harry.

“Hullo, Harry,” she said, “Happy Christmas.” She shoved a neatly-wrapped gift into his hands and hurried off.

Harry was distracted by this object and unwrapped it, revealing a small Hungarian Horntail and a golden egg.

He made a mental note to get something for her as well.

“How many time my names Rowena.” She said as she wondered over.
“Merry Christmas” cried Godric as him got water to pour all over her. In the distance Helga could be heard laugh.
“Well you would laugh just because you fancy him.” She said as she stalked off.
“Hey Wena don’t take it seriously.” Said Salazar as he pulled her into a tight hug. As he looked down into her beautiful face drenched with water he bent down and softly kissed her on the lips. “Merry Christmas Rowena.” And he did it again.

Albus and Scorpius sat by the Common Room Christmas tree, opening their gifts.

“Oh,” Scorpius said as he looked at the tag of one gift. “Here’s the present you got me.” He opened it up, not noticing Albus’s growing blush.

“What’s this?” Scorpius asked as he raised it up to look at it.

“Mistletoe,” Albus said.

“You got me mistletoe?” Scorpius asked and Albus nodded. “Why?”

“So I could do this,” He replied and leaned in and kissed Scorpius who kissed back.

When Albus pulled away Scorpius smiled and said, “I liked that present.”

“I thought you would,” Albus chuckled.

The Forest hissed a warning as he deliberately strayed off the path. His heavy footsteps made only a slight crunch as he stepped on a layer of dead leaves blanketed with snow.

He couldn't wait to deliver the present that was tucked deep inside his coat pocket. Patting it softly to reassure himself that it was still there, he glanced to the side, assessing his direction. Then he whistled softly, the sweet sound echoing deeply into the forest.

Several still moments passed, and then he heard the response he was longing for. His dark beard bristled and he smiled widely, as a rough roar shattered the peaceful aura. "HAGGER!"

Harry woke up and sat up in bed christmas he thought to him self this should be fun he got his slippers on and headed down stairs to see what he got for christmas from his aunt and uncle
He walked into a room full of presant as he looked under the tree there was only one presant for him as he opened it up it was one of his cousins old jumpers with holes in harry wasnt shocked by this as this was more than he got last year harry placed them on the sofa and headed back to bed

He sat there on Grimmauld Place with Ginny at his side holding his hand and looking beautiful.
Ron and Hermione looking happier than ever and trading presents.
Fred and George thiking of new ideas for their shop.
Mr. and Mrs.Weasley happily in love, as they have always been.
Lupin and Tonks loving their child Teddy who was as cute as ever.
Luna daydreaming as always, probably about Nargles.
Neville anxiously looking through his new Herbology book his grandma had given him.
So many members of The Order of The Phoenix laughing and sharing memories.
And Harry thought to himself, "I have found my own wonderful family."

His body was stiff and as cold as snow. He could not move, could not speak. His eyes were glazed and black, staring straight ahead – no movement, no tears. His fingers had become as thin as twigs, no longer baring flesh and he was naked except for a thin, cotton scarf tied tightly around his neck. Around his body, the children of Hogwarts played, oblivious to his suffering. If only he could have turned back time, then he would never have been the one lying here so cold. He would have never let Harry turn him into ‘Draco the Snowman’.

“Ronald, do not look at me like that.” Hermione snapped, and glared at him.

“But Hermione…” Ron moaned, and looked down at his Christmas present.

“Ronald Weasley, many people would love that! It is so,” She paused, “Festive!” Hermione beamed as she looked down at the gift she gave Ron. It had taken her quite a while to make, and she was not about to have Ron make fun of it.

“Yeah? Well, if you can find one other person to wear this,” he held up the gift, a green and red SPEW button, “You can just let me know.”
