Weather: Thick gray clouds loom over the grounds and pitch, snow has fallen softly on and off for an hour, the cold is as bitter as ice and winds are reachomg gale force.

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::As tradition Dani flew forward and did a couple loop-d-loops around and feeling dizzy she circled back to where Zelda was mousing along. She waved at the Ravenclaw Seeker Rigby and at their Keeper Zelda. Circling back to the almost center of the pitch she passed the qwaffle to Dragon who was talking to Skie.

"Is she going to help?" Dani asked Dragon upon exchange::

(Hufflpuff Chaser)

"Erm... Badger Banter... Badger Banter.... Oh yeah!" Skie's little light bulb (florescent of course) in her head went off as she remeber the tactic and somehow made a cool ding at the same time. "Sure!" she said excited. Watching Dani closely as she flew along next to Dragon, she waited for the play to begin. Shivering, she wondered how hard it would snow that night...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

“I don’t know.” She said, “I loaned her my handy dandy book to look up the tactics though…” she called to Dani as she flew away for her part of the plan.

She eyed the ground warily then tried, with no success to do a Wonskie Feint (sp) since she pulled up 30 feet from the ground. Shrugging she muttered ‘that’s why I’m not in Gryffindor’ and flew off around Zelda to say ‘Hello’ and back to Dani while doing twirls as if on ice.

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

She clapped and held up ten fingers as Dragon did her tricks, she barely moved her lips as she spoke to Skie knowing that Polly might be able to read them from where she sat.

"She'll hand you the ball next and you know what to do, right?" She said.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

She saw that Dani was talking to Skie so while they discussed the plan she saw Dani hold up 10 fingers as the signal. Glancing worriedly at the Ravenclaw keeper to see if she had heard the plan, she flew over to the hoops to distract her for a while to wait for Skie’s answer.

She did a lazy float and a loop in front of the keeper before she saw that her broom had and icicle hanging from it. Rolling her eyes, she put a warming charm on her broom and watched in fascination as the icicle melted. Grinning she almost slipped and the quaffle dropped from her grasp. Eyes wide with panic, she hurtled after it and caught it quickly while glancing at the Ravenclaw’s Chasers…’that was close!’

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby shook her head at Rose's antics. The young seeker had the raw talent, and after a few games under her belt she would be a formidable opponent. But for now, Rigby blocked everything that was unrelated to her snitch pursuit. Bobbing and weaving through the air, she and the snitch did the complicated dance of a hunter and its prey. Although in quidditch the two could suddenly switch places without warning.

Concentrating hard she was only distantly aware that her stomach was growling. Rigby loved these long games, especially against a team like Hufflepuff that had really come into their own this semester. But playing such a hard team left little time for snacking. She had barely drank any of her hot chocolate. Ignoring her hunger, she stayed on the snitch's tale. She couldn't tell if Rose was behind her or not, but the snitch took a sudden cut up into the air, disappearing in the night air.

Grrrr! Well, the snitch was gone for the moment, but she was still hungry. Rigby turned her broomstick to the stands, wondering what the Ravenclaw fans would be willing to share.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Humming 'Deck the Halls' under the breath she wrapped her arm around the quaffle then decended a bit to swipe a hot chocolate from one of the fans. Gasping at the heat she almost burned the roof of her mouth when she gulped a mouthful of the coco. Keeping her mouth open , she hugged the quaffle as she tried to use the cold air to relieve the pain.

After a few swallows of cold air she felt better but was earning weird looks from the crowd. Waving cheekily, she swung higher in the air to see if Skie was ready for her part of the plan or a signal from Dani if there was a change in the plan...

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::Dani was not a very patient person and no respone from Skie was making her irritable, she clapped her hands again to show Dragon that she wanted the ball and she'd score for Hufflepuff. Smiling through her irritabliliness, she waited with arms open for Dragon to shoot he ball over to her.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Her tummy now full with the warmy, gooey goodness of brownies, Rigby took again to the skies. She watched the Hufflepuff chaser's with some interest. No snitch in sight, so she might have to do something about all this Huffle action, since her teammates seemed to be otherwise occupied. First she had to blow her runny nose.

Reaching into the deep pockets of her quidditch robes, she brought out just about everything but tissues. Tinsel, Ben-Gay ointment, extra bandages which was always wise to have in a bloody game like those against Etta and the Huffies, two movie ticket stubs for Enchanted (how did those get in here?!), and other items spilled out. Really, she was a bit of a slob. What if someday, when she was an old witch, they found her dead in her mansion, because of course she was going to be a rich witch, buried in an avalanche of useless junk and Betty and Veronica Double Digests?

Shaking the terrible image from mind, Rigby instead focused her attention on Dani. Warily she began to shadow the chasers, ready to interfere if she had to, or if she could.

( Hufflepuff Keeper)

Zelda looked around at the loss of action and waited ,but then she saw something... it was gold... it was the snitch floating above the ground about two feet from the Ravenclaw goal posts.... She had to tell Rose.. Seeing that Rigby was busy messing with her things and looking at the Hufflepuff she whispered.. " Rose.. come here... its the snitch"... Hopefully Rose heard this.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

The action of the game was winding down for the moment, although in quidditch things could change awfully quickly. Deciding to leave the Huffle Chasers to her house's beaters, Rigby took off again in pursuit of the snitch.

The snow had temporarily stopped falling, allowing her better visability. She flew high, the best place to spot any action below and still avoid the worse of the bludgers. A sparkle caught her eye. The snitch was twinkling directly below her, in its own way it seemed to be winking at her, daring her to catch it. Not one to back down from a challenge, Rigby began a corkscrew dive towards the snitch.

There is a singlemindedness about a snitch chase. The rest of the world is still there, with it's noises and smells, but a good seeker is able to filter the unwanted out. At the moment Rigby was in her element. She could hear the snitch, the sound it made slicing through the air, and she followed the sound as much as she did the visual sight of it. The snitch could be tricky, but it one listened it was almost possible to predicts its movements. Almost...

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon saw Dani's signal accompained by her roll of eyes showing that she was impatient, she was about to throw the quaffle to her when she saw Rigby hovering behind her. Frowning, she urged her broom towards Dani then when she was right near her, she slipped the quaffle in Dani's hands so it'll be hard for it to fall to anyone else.

After her part of the plan was done, she hovered behind Rigby seeing what was going on with her...

( Hufflepuff Keeper)

Zelda flew at a darting speed towards Rose and pointed at the snitched and noticed the opposing teams seeker had spotted it... " Oh dear.." She thought as she returned to the goal post and watch ,but kept her mind about her so she would be able to block the quaffle if it came down to it.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

She saw that Dani was doing her part of the plan so she turned and waved at Zelda who was being a superb keeper by the hoops. Adjusting her scarf she animated the little badger on it so it was now dancing all over the thread lines. She looked up to see Dani approach the goal with her the plan going smoothly. Now the plan had to work. They've work hard on it. But nevertheless Dragon flew to where the Ravenclaw Keeper was and began to sing "Joy to the World" very loudly hoping for distraction.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly knew that dragon was trying to distract her so she tryed to block out her singing watching as the hufflepuff chaser began to soore towards her quaffle in hand.
Scowling at dragon still singing Polly began to do the expercises that she did for Occlumency blanking her mind an dconcentrating on the one thing that was nwo travelling closer and closer towards her.
The ground had its breath held in tense and all singing from earlyier had disapeared and only dragons voice could be heard from above all noise.
If Polly was not so scared she would have found it funny. Not that dragon was a bad singer she was actually quite a good singer.
Polly kenw that the Hufflepuff tactic was to distract and score it was like one of the keeper techniques which had been banned, Stooging where more than one chaser enters the scoring area.
The Chaser was now closer than ever and Polly could feel her blood pumping in her head as her nerves kicked in. Trying to push these bad thoughts to the back of ther head Polly focused on the up coming task.

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)
Kim and Elana's plan hadn't worked. Now she saw her chance to prove herself for her new team. She flew up in the air and sped up towards her own goal. I can do it!!! Ready, set, GOOO!! She flew down straight for the Chaser with the Quaffle. She moved so fast no one saw her coming. She swooped the ball out of a pair of hands ond zoomed towards the other goal. With her fellow Chaser flying parallel with her, hopefully(she didn't look) she felt they may score.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly watched as Kim flew towards the Hufflepuff goals. Sighing with relief she was glad that the cost was clear..for now. Sometimes Polly felt like the whole game rested on her shoulders yeah fair enough the seeker gets the most points for catching the snitch but if the keeper lets in lots of goals then catching the snitch will be pointless.
As the coast was clear Polly did a quick look around before pulling out a bag of ready salted chirsps. Pulling one out she popped it into her mouth to have the taste wave all over her tounge. Licking the salt of her lips she pulled out another one but as Kim got closer to the goals Polly forgot that she was eating chrisps.
And as she staired in anticipaion at Kim, Polly dropped the bag of crisps and watched as they all fell out and tumbled to the floor wheras the bag flew aimlessly around the pitch.
Summoning the now empty bag towards her so as not to cause litter Polly whipped her hands on her robe so she did not get greesy fingers on anything and brought her mind back towards the game.
She knew that the Hufflepuff chasers were good at getting the quaffle back and would be zooming up her end of the pitch in no time.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Sorry!" Skie's habit of zoning was biting her in the butt in the middle of a quidditch game. Looking back towards Dragon, she realized that she... no longer had the qauffle! "WHAT?!" SKie literally jumped out of the air when she realized that Hufflepuff was no longer holding the quaffle captive. Twirling around on her broom to spot the quaffle, she saw the Ravenclaw Chaser flying away with it! "GAAHHHH!" she cried. Chasing after Kim at top speed, she zoomed past, ignoring the whiz of the cold air and the pull of the turbulent wind. Leaning farther forward to coax even the slightest more speed out of her poor broom, she wondered how daydreaming could make you miss so much.

"Oh no you don't," she muttered, throwing all thoughts that were not quidditchy away. "I'm coming for you..." Whispering random evil phrases from cheesy horror movies, Skie chased after Kim in a pitiful attempt to redeem herself.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly watched as the game continued in a swirl around her making her heart beat as flashes of blue and yellow flew left right and centre.
Flicking a loose hair from her eye Polly pouted although when it came down to it Polly would feel guilty if she let a goal in she liked the adrenaline rush she got from it and wanted a Hufflepuff to come down to her end, but on the over hand Polly wanted it to stay as far away as possible so they have a good chance of winning.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

:Etta stepped back out onto the picth, dazed and confused as she tried to mount a hoover.

The crowd was laughing at the poor little badger as she began a visous assault on the hoover.

Suddenly Madame hooch reappeared and removed the Hoover from Etta's wrath, handing her the lovely never been cleaned Bobbette back. Smiling softly Etta began to cuddle her broom, her eyes whizzed across the picth to her Beaters Bat.

Running, well it was supposed to be running but it was more like a Kangeroo hop, across the pitch Etta retrieved her Titanium coated Beater's Bat and and kissed it, finally she mounted her broom, backwards, and kicked off into the air.

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Intent on pursuing a bludger, Streams took her eyes off it for a moment when she heard the crowd laughing. "Ah Ettie! Good to have you back!" she shouted as at last she caught up to the bludger and lobbed it backwards towards Rigby using the specialized Badger Beater Backhand.

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captian)

::Dani was agast to find the qwaffle was no longer snuggly in her grip, she swearved around to see the theif. Spotting the new Ravenclaw Chaser Kim she shot over to where she was revenge clearly painted on her face. "Oh no you don't" she whispered under her breath and signaled to Streams to fire a bludger in the Ravenclaw chaser's direction.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby heard the bludger coming towards her at the last moment possible. She pulled up on her broomstick, avoiding a bludger to the head, but it hit her squarely in the back, knocking the breathe out of her. In the few moments it took her to regain the ability to breath, the snitch had moved on. Wincing with pain, Rigby took after it.

The snow was coming down again, the coldness making her tense up, hurting her back further. When this game was over she was going to be lucky if she could walk. Streams may not have the fancy bat Etta did, but she could hit every bit as hard. The pain in her back was actually getting worse by the minute.

Rigby dropped down lower to the ground so she wouldn't have far to fall in case she passed out. By sheer luck the snitch buzzed by her, with a groan she gave chase again.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose dropped her mug and jumped on her her broom when Rigby (sorry I can;t spell your name right) went back into play. she began scanning the area in serch of the Snitch. Zelda flew up to her, shaking her shoulder.

"The Snitch!" Zelda cried, pointing towards the Ravenclaw goals. Gasping, Rose saw Rigby flying right at it. Rose took off in its direction faster than she could even blink.

"No", she cried as she saw Ribgy hold her hand out to grab it. They where now right beside eachother, and they where only a few yards away from the fluttering golden ball. "Please let it be me, please let it be me!" Rose closed her eyes and prayed she would be holding the Snitch in a few seconds...

(Hufflepuff Beater)

"Fantastic!" Streams cheered as she saw Rigby hit. She didn't like seeing her in pain of course, but all was fair in Quidditch, especially if it made it harder for her to catch the snitch!

Seeing Dani signal, Streams nodded and soared over to the bludger. She stuck out her bat to lob the bludger next to her, so that she could ease it over to Kim, but the bludger was one step ahead of her and smashed into her stomach.

"Oohh..." Streams groaned, she had been too close to the bludger and had all the breath knocked out of her. She bent over double, gasping, and briskly massaged her stomach. Then she chased after the bludger again, making sure to sneak up on it this time. She waited until she was directly above it, then zoomed down and hit it lightly to the left, followed up by a hit to the right.

"Lovely...pingpong bludger, my favorite game!" she muttered and then she took her left hand off the broomstick, holding on only with her knees, as she used both hands to swing the bat for extra SMASH. The bat cracked into bludger and it flew in a straight line directly for Kim..."Come on, drop the Quaffle, drop it," Streams whispered under her breath.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Out of nowhere, a bludger hit Rigby square in the back. Rose kept her consentration on the Snitch. She leaned far forward on her broom, hoping the Snitch could not get away from her. With a deep breath, she pushed her weight forward, diving head first towards the golden ball. She snatched at the air and the Snitch brushed across her arm, but her broom cracked in half and she began plummeting to the hard, cold ground below. Rose looked around despratly for something to grab, and thought of a spell that might stop her fall.

Oh, God! She thought to herself. I'm going to die, and I didn't even catch the freak'n Snitch.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

The Hufflepuff seeker was suddenly in the chase for the snitch. Locked in a heated race, the two seekers were flying at breakneck speeds towards the snitch. Without warning, Rose grabbed for the snitch, only to miss and disappear from Rigby's sight.

I hope she's okay! Wait, I can't think about her, only you snitchy-poo, she thought. You and I are the only two that matter.

Rigby pushed harder, her broom inching closer to her target. Her back popped, sending new waves of pain up and down her spine. She gritted her teeth, blinked snow out of her eyes, and scooted up to the front of her broom. It wasn't going to be a graceful catch, but if she lunged for it she could make it.

Bracing herself for the plunge, literally as she might not make it back to her broom, Rigby threw her body up, right hand reaching for the snitch. Her heart lept has she closed her fingers around the snitch, catching the golden devil in her hand.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Just because she went to get a piece of chocolate, the quaffle was now in the arms of Kim instead of Dani. 'What happened to the plan' she yelled to herself in question then zoomed after Skie, Dani who were all almost catching up to Kim. "Zelda!" she yelled at the Hufflepuff Keeper while muttering to her broom to speed up.

Nearing Kim, she saw that Streams had hit a bludger right at Kim. It swerved slightly to the side and crashed onto the broom making it wobble. Taking that for the distraciton, she saw that the quaffle was slightly slipping from Kim's grasp so with a tap it fell...and into the air. Rushing after it she barely managed to stay on her broom when she finally caught it at a dangerous angle. Choking on her piece of chocolate she had wanted to melt in her mouth she rushed over to Dani and Skie for futhur plans...

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy quickly saw that there was a Bludger heading towards Kim, onr of the Ravenclaw Chasers. Stephy quickly flattened herself against her broom and felt the wind push against her face as she tried to get there in time but to her horror she couldnt. She watched as it hit Kim's broom and saw dani take the quaffle away.

"Oh no you dont" Stephy said as she flew after the black ball that had just hit Kim. Once she caught up with the Bludger, Stephy threw back both of her arms and with a tight grip on the Bat, she swung as hard as she could. WIth a thunderous Crack that filled the pitch, Stephy watched as the Bludger quickly made its way to Dani. "Didnt mean to hit it that hard" Stephy said as she watched the black blur make its way to Dani.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon looked up hearing the crack in the air and was in time to see the bludger coming...coming and crack it hit her on the shoulder. Wincing she tossed the quaffle to Dani and seeing that the quaffle was now safely in Dani's possession, she decended on the ground and hobbled to the nurse with her arm dangling limply on her side.

Madame Pomphrey (sp) took on look of her limp arm and grabbed her none too gently on the bench. Propping her broom up on the side, she was forced to take a weird smelling potion that almost made her through up. Dragon glanced at her arm that looked slightly better - and less limp and bit into a piece of chocolate, waiting for the nurse to stop poking her.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

"Umm, guys? I caught the snitch. That means the game is over."

Rigby was a bit stunned. Sure, she was used to being ignored, but this was bordering on an all time record. Oh, god, what if she was dead? What if she had fallen off her broom trying to catch the snitch and died? She quickly pinched her arm with the hand not holding the snitch.

"Ouch!" Nope, the snitch was caught and the game was over. The crowd finally caught on, and Rigby landed and proceeded to make her way to the locker room, shaking her head in disbelief.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Suddenly the Ravenclaw side of the pitch cheered and Dragon looked up seeing a slightly distressed Rigby brighten up with the snitch in her hand. The game of over and she didn’t notice. Almost falling off the bench in shock she looked at her now healthy arm and shrugged – she frequently space out so this shouldn’t be much of a surprise to her.

(I must be in a different time zone then…it’s only the 11th where I am)

I don't know if I can still post here, but... WOOHOO!! WE WON!!YEAH!
OH,well good game Hufflepuff!!!

( Hufflepuff Keeper)

Zelda had been watching the action ready and noticed all the action in the Seekers and the quaffle... Something distracted her from the game... Rose was falling.... must be at least 40 yards.... She was falling and the quaffle was also headed her way... what to do though... Its not worth risking a life she thought and she flattened herself on the broom and zoomed towards Rose... She had to act fast... As Zelda flew she felt more snow start to fall and it was hard to see. Zelda pulled out her wand and pointed it at Rose and said " moment congelo ( moment freeze) " when she said this they Rose was 10 yards from the ground and it gave Zelda a split second that Rose was suspended in air to catch her... When Zelda caught her the extra weight on the broom and the force of impact of her hitting the broom made the broom buckle and the broom went out of control and hit the ground hard throwing Rose and Zelda to the ground... The broom split into and Zelda was bleeding and had faited... Zelda was unaware of how Rose was.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly flew down to the ground where Ribgy was before pulling her into a tight hug. "Yay we cought the snitch" Polly cheered.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose felt stunned for a moment, then the next thin she knew was that the ground was only feet below her. She blocked her fall with her shoulder. "Ouch!" She examined it, then popped it back into place. She looked around. Her broken broom lay beside her, along with another...

"Zelda!" Rose gasped and shook her friend. She was completely unconscious and bleeding. "Madame Pomphrey!" Rose looked up at the game, witch semed to have stopped. She squinted. Rigby was holding something small and shiny. A lump welled up in Rose's throat. The game was over, Ravenclaw won. But the game didn't seem important anymore, with Zelda lying, bleeding on the ground next to her...

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::Dani touched down on the ground and walked over to the celebrating rigby...

"Good Job," She said shaking the Co-captian's hand.

( Hufflepuff Keeper)

Zelda felt something on her shoulder and then opened her eyes... She was still outside and saw that Rose was shaking her... It occurred to her then what had happened as both of her legs when in terrible pain. There was no way she could walk.... " How are you Rose?" Zelda asked.

I think this game is now officially over as it is now the 13th, so no more posting guys!
