Weather: Thick gray clouds loom over the grounds and pitch, snow has fallen softly on and off for an hour, the cold is as bitter as ice and winds are reachomg gale force.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose gasped as she saw Etta go down. Oh, no, please be ok, she prayed. she glanced over her shoulder.Shaking off her concern for Etta, she began to look for the Snitch some more.

Rose heard a whooshing sound behind her, and she glanced over her shoulder only to see a bludger coming full speed at her head. Gasping, she pulled on her broom so hard it shoot up, and did a flip. The bludger went right under her.

That was too close, Rose thought.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly saw as the Hufflepuff chaser began to saw down the pitch the quaffle in hand. Polly's fingers began to itch with anticipation as images of herself saving an impossible goal sored into her head.
Breathing deeply she watched as the quaffle and chaser began to get closer and closer. It was obvious which goes they were going too but Polly stayed dead in the centre so that when the quaffle was thrown towards a post she would be able to access it and save it as quickly as possible.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Something shiny caught Rose's eye. She quickly turned her head to see the small, round Snitch, buzzing around, mocking her. Her grip tightened on her broom as she waited for the ball to dart. It didn't. Rose raised an eyebrow.

"Fine", she huffed, a smile appearing on her face. "You won't run away, I'll make you!"

Without warning, she flew full speed towards the Snitch. It waited. When she was only inches from it, she reached her hand out to grab it, and it darted to the side.

"Nasty little bugger", Rose said sheepishly. "Gonna put on a fight? Well so am I!"

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly watched as Rose zoomed after the snitch. Polly screamed Ribgy's name to try and get her attention and watched succesfully as Rigby began to fly as fast as she could.
The quaffle had been momentarily forgotten as the chase for the snitch had started but as Rose and Ribgy last sight of the tiny fluttering ball, Polly saw that once more the quaffle was heading in her general direction.
Wiping her glasses quickly incase they had any dirt on them she brought her whole attention to the matter in hand.
Hufflepuff still had the Quaffle. "Come on guys get the Quaffle." Polly screamed out to her own chasers.
In the stands it was all quite and Polly decided that she was going to get the Ravenclaw supporters chanting again "RA..RA..RAVENCLAW you can do it RA..RA..RAVENCLAW you can do it... with her voice amplified. The supporters soon began to pick up and the chants for Ravenclaw could be heard through out the grounds.
Smiling Polly hoped in vain that a Ravenclaw would quickly get the Quaffle.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"GGGAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Skie was once again left cringing by Polly's amplified voice. "Make my ears bleed why don't you?" she muttered good naturedly. Swinging up behind Dragon to give her some space, she did some sloth grip rolls to warm up... Why did they even play quidditch in cold weather? Clutching her broom close to get the rolls done without falling and/or dying, she gave up following Dragon and decided to wait till she scored.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose turned her head slightly to see Ribgy right behind her. The Ravenclaw seeker was gaining, fast. Rose focused her attention back to the Snitch. It was wildly zooming left and right, trying to catch Rose off guard. But it couldn't. When the Snitch dogged, Rose dodged. When the Snitch made a sudden u-turn, so did Rose. She was onto it like a cat on a mouse.

"Come on!" She smiled to Ribgy behind her. "Its right here, come and get it!"

(Hufflepuff Beater)

Streams groaned as the shrieking and cheering from the stands assaulted her ears. Not today...I cannot handle this today...

But then she too was shrieking as Ettie plummeted onto the field. Oh Merlin, now I have no excuses. They really do need me now.

Muttering a bad word under her breath, Streams checked to make sure she had everything. "Bat, check. Broom, check. Robes, check." Then she glanced concernedly at Ettie, who was being levitated off to a tent by Madam Pomfrey, and swooshed into the air.

"Hullo Huffies!" she called, trying to sound enthusiastic though she felt exactly like the bad word she had so recently muttered. But being terribly hungover was entirely her fault, and there was a game to be played. "Merlinnn...what's happened so far? Will the commentator enlighten me as to where the scores stand and what's been happening?" she mumbled, flying in a circle around the pitch to get her bearings. The cold wind flew in her face and she began feeling slightly better...after all, she did love Quidditch...

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose herd Streams's voice. She glanced over to see the beater fly into the game. Smiling Rose shouted, "Thank goodness your here, Streams! After Etta was knocked out, I almost had a heart attack!" Slowing her pace to wave for a second, Ribgy darted past her.

Rose looked irritated. "Gotta go get that Snitch! See ya!"
She chased after the Ravenclaw Seeker.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

As she neared the hoops, she saw Polly was belting out Ravenclaw cheers as she hovered right in front of the hoops.

Darn, the keeper was watching her every move so you couldn't get near the hoops. Circling the keeper she looked up to see if any of her team mates could help her on this one.

She gripped the quaffle a little bit tighter and tried to think of a plan...

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::Dani swore when she saw Etta take the bludger for her and watched as her favorite death eater hufflepuff plumeted towards the ground. Her heart screamed at her to go and help her but reason took over. look for the qwaffle, she'll be okay

Obeying the voice in her head she swung around a followed Skie and Dragon around the pitch looking for the qwaffle that had once again gotten lost and Polly, the ravenclaw keeper was using her voice as a wepon. Dani covered her ears and shricked in pain as blood rushed to them. Saying some very unlady like words she promised herself she would get Polly back.

Suddenly Dragon had the qwaffle and was shooting over to the goals. Dani followed her in earnest, ready for if and when she wanted to do a play. Dani was ready and she could tell that Skie was too.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Covering her ear with one had while the other kept a firm hold on the quaffle, she winced again as Polly started yelling cheers very loudly again.

Flying over to where Dani was, Dragon asked, "Do you have a plan? or do you want to try one of the huffie quidditch moves..whatisitcalled, er..the one where we pass it among us and shoot it in?" she said hesitantly

(hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::Dani smiled when Dragon flew over to her cluching the qwaffle. Instead of replying she did the sing language number for three and then flew slowly forward until Dragon began to hopefully follow her, before she sped up.

"ready?" she whispered.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

'Ready' she whispered back as she subtly passed over the quaffle to Dani and flew away to put the plan in motion..the one that they had just discussed about. Although she needed to think up a name to call it..

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captian)

:: Dani smiled and shot very fast like forward, the watched Dragon in front of her circle around the goals. As Dani braced herself. The cold wind that preceded Dragon bit into Dani's skin and she gratefully handed over the qwaffle to Dragon just as she pulled her arm back to fiegn a shot towards the right goal post.

She continued flying straight and didn't dare to see what had happened on Dragons end...::

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

'I don't have the quaffle' she chanted under her breath with the quaffle hidden in her arms. Fly with the wind, she hurtled towards the hoops in mid circle around Polly and the quaffle left her hands and went towards the left hoop.

Holding her breath, she saw that Polly had looked over at Dani and the quaffle slowly tipped in the hoop..

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::Dani cheered and swung her broom around and caught Dragon in an air hug! "Wooo! Go Hufflepuff!" She cheered. Smiling she waited for the ball to be throw back into play.

Kim ran to the changing room and put on her Quidditch robes, irritated that she was late for her first ever match.God this is so embarrassing! We're losing and I don't even know if I can do this
She ran out to the field and flew into the air on her shabby Comet Two Sixty, the schools idea of a good broom. She met up with Elana,the other Chaser on the field. Apoligizing for her being late. They discussed how to tie the score....

(Huffie Chaser)

Cheering along with Dani, she glanced down at the grounds and that a Ravenclaw Chaser had just arrived on the field 'Competition' she muttered to herself.

Glancing around she frowned, the quaffle was playing hide and seek again. Really, the game was getting old by now.

(hufflepuf Chaser and Captain)

::Dani heard Dragon's mutter, and whispered back "Don't worry, you're on fire, if she's competion she's gonna have to work hard!" She smiled and saw the red orb on the ground again. "C'mon lts make another score!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"How much can I freakin' miss in one hot chocolate break?" Skie wondered aloud as she handed her hot chocolate off to a random Hufflepuff. "Quaffle, quaffle, qauffle, qauffle, QUAFFLE, quaffle, quaffle, quaffle.... QUAFFLE!" Skie spotted the qauffle as it was thrown back into play and swooped down to grab it. Securing it under her arm, she waved for Dani and Dragon to help her make a diversion.... creativity was something that was more fun with help. Juggling the quaffle from arm to arm, she raced towards the Ravenclaw goals.

"Hufflepuff for the goal...." she muttered gruffly. Weaving back and forth to make a hard target for nasty bludgers, she reached midfield.

(Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

Dani followed Skie, her grin never leaving her face. Getting closer to Skie she thought of a plan.

"Skie! Lets do a Badger in a Barrel! *see our tactics!!*" She called out to her team mate

Kim gave harself a mental boost as she saw the Hufflepuff Chasers headed her way. She and Elana split up and headed for a Chaser each. Being the new kid on the block as far as Quidditch goes she thought she was being pretty brave as she charged for the girl with the Quaffle.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Better duck!" Skie screamed to the new chaser. Putting the quaffle right in Dani's reach, she handed it off and readied her ears for the sweet ding of the bell. "SCORE DANI!"

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Just after she had spaced out, the two other chasers had already rushed towards the hoops. Shaking out of her daze she flew slowly after those two just in case they needed some help while keeping an eye on the new ravenclaw chaser who had just charged at Skie. That chaser sure was brave...

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)
Although she didn't know the chaser she flew to the side, taking her warning.

(Thanks for coming, Kim! Just one little thing - one of the rules is to not say what other people do, so try and just concentrate on your actions ^^)

(RAVENCLAW CHASER)

Glad to have another Chaser on the pitch, Elana grinned at Kim before they split up. Kim would take Skie, while Elana tried to distract Dani so Skie wouldn't have as much help scoring. She turned her broom up to the sky, and shot up a bit so she was above the others - made for faster flying, you see, to be in a place clear of traffic. She zoomed down the pitch until over the Huffle Chasers, then suddenly dropped down in front, hopefully startling them.

But - but they were gone! Elana's eyes widened as she frantically looked around for them. Where had they rushed off to?! Taking the obvious answer, she laid down flat on her broom, and took off towards the Ravenclaw goals. Faster, faster! she urged her broom. Need to get there before they score!

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Dani? Dani? Aw darn... I thought we had that move down..." Skie pulled the ball back into her arms and looked for back up. Seeing Dragon flying to her right she waved. "Badger in a Barrel!" Smiling, to herself, she hoped that they could come up with some distracting tactics to score. Holding the ball in position, she awaited the next move.

{Ravenclaw Seeker and Co-Captain}

Rigby turned to see that her ruse had only partially worked on the Huffie Seeker. She had given chase, but hadn't been completely fooled. Now the newcomer was actually swatting at the snitch. Rigby laughed, but she was still impressed at the Hufflepuff seeker's keen eye.

Steering her broom, Rigby took off in a blur of movement towards the snitch. Sensing that play time was over the snitch suddenly took off, Rigby giving chase. She flew past the Hufflepuff seeker. Unable to tell if her opponent was following, Rigby instead focused solely on the golden orb. Her reindeer antlers were swept off her head as she increased her speed, Rigby just hoped that they didn't land on anyone playing below....

::Dani spaced the responded, and took over for Dragon. Seeing Skie in the postion she grabbed the bottom of the ball while Skie, upside down, held onto the top. Dani smiled and with the help of Skie they both pushed the ball towards the center hoop

( Hufflepuff Keeper)

Zelda had been sick in the bathroom and knew she was missing the game so she got dressed as fast as she could and headed out into her spot on the pitch. ( This is the truth I was sick).

As she flew up into the air her quidditch robes rippled in the cold air. She felt the gale winds hit her like bullets and her goggles fogged... This was one tough game... let alone her first... " I wonder if we will win..." She though ,but quickly got out of day dreaming and focused on what she had to do. As Nevis as she was she had to do her best. First games must be the toughest after all...

Zelda noticed that Dani was on the move and watched to see if the quaffle would turn directions or if they would score... Zelda was ready.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Dragon waved at Zelda who had just appeared on the pitch. Turning back towards Dani and Skie, she saw that they had scored with an impressive Badger Barrel.

As the 'ding' resounded through the air and the crowd cheered. She cheered right along with them and turned and flew to the center of the pitch to wait for the quaffle to come in view again.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"YEAH!" Skie jumped up (as high as one can go) off her broom and smiled at Dani. Regaining concentration, she waved at Zelda, who had just arrived and was sitting in front of the goals. Waiting for the quaffle to come into play, Skie leaned back and scanned the pitch for any sign of the scarlet ball. Feeling the biting wind as it tore at her quidditch robe, Skie shivered and wondered for the millionth time whether quidditch was worth losing a few toes from frostbite...

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

"Woah!" Rose swerved to the side as Ribgy's antlers came flying at her. The ravenclaw seeker was fast! Rose frowned as she saw Ribgy gain on the golden Snitch. She pushed her broom forward and gained speed. Ok, so she wasn't as fast as her opponent, but Rose have great eyesight. She squinted ahead of Ribgy, sort of hoping not to see the small ball running from her. But it was. Taking a deep breath, Rose speed towards the other seeker as fast as her broom would allow her.

Come on, she muttered to herself. I can do this. Just focus, Rose, focus.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
Polly stiffled a yawn as she was shattered from all the playing and was now keeping awake of adrenaline. She knew that Hufflepuff were probably in the lead and her heart sunk to the floor at this thought.
As she tried to think posative she noticed that Zelda currently had the Quaffle. Thats not a good thing she thought as Polly wanted the quaffle to be in contant posestion of a Ravenclaw.
Polly noticed she was not the only one having trouble keeping awake so shaking her head Polly did a few quick spins around the goals, smiling as the wind whipped her hair and she felt like a bird in the sky.

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy sat perched on her broom scanning the sky for a black blur that would indicate that a Bludger was traveling right by. While she saw searching the pitch she noticed another Hufflepuff enter the field. Taking a quick glance she spotted that it was Zelda. Quickly turning her broom around, Stephy continued her search for a Bludger.

After what seamed like hours to her, Stephy finally came across what she was looking for. Right by the Ravenclaw goal posts was a Bludger heading stright for Polly. Flattening herself against her broom, Stephy quickly picked up spead and in no time she stopped many feet in front of Polly waiting for the ball to get nearer.

Stephy took a tight grip of her bat with both hands and ready herself. She threw her arms back behind her and waited as the Bludger got nearer and nearer, seaming to become bigger with each passing second. Once the ball was about to come in contact with her, Stephy threw her arms forward and with a loud crack from her bat she knew she had deflected the Bludger. Looking at iys fight path she saw that the Bludger now headed towards Skie

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

Skie turned her head quickly as she heard the unpleasant crack of a bat on a bludger. Stephy's bludger was coming for her! As she realized that it was but a mere few feet from her left arm, Skie tried to duck out of the way but was greeted with an unpleasant crack. Looking down, she that the bludger had almost missed her, but chipped at her elbow where she saw a nasty blackish blotch begin to take place. Staring at it stunned for a second, she then began to realize that it was hurting.

"OW! OW! OW!" She cried out as she tried to examine the bruise that the bludger made. Pulling up her elbow to get an even closer look at it, she decided that it wasn't worth getting off the field for... it was just swelling and would hurt a lot. Not even enough for a battle scar to show all her friends... but enough to hurt for at least a week.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose herd a bludger smack agenst a bat. She did not look over, in fear it would destract her and she would loose sight of the Snitch. But she herd it hit someone, or something and glanced over her left shoulder to see Skie stumble on her broom for a second.

With a gasp, Rose saw a black bruise begin to show on her friends elbow. She cried down to Skie, who seemed to be in a tad state of shock.

"Skie! Yu ok?"

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Stephy watched as the Bludger nearly avoided hitting Skie but it had hit her elbow. Stephy hoped that this would be enough to effect how she threw the quaffle. Deciding not to look for the other Bludger, Stephy flew right after the one that she had just sent, looking around at all of the Hufflepuffs that she could aim it.

Once she had caught up with it, Stephy quickly got in front of the black ball and throwing back her right arm, she felt vibrations travel up her arm along with another crack from where the Bludger had collided with her bat.

Watching as the ball speed down, Stephy was glad to see that the Bludger was going towards the Hufflepuff that she sent it at- Rose. Not watching to see if the Bludger would made contact, Stephy took her faveriot spot high up in the sky. She loved this place because she was able to see the whole match from there

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

"Yeah, I'm okay," Skie called down to Rose as she examined her bruise, moving her elbow back and forth, she winced as her elbow cried out in protest to its movement. Turning back towards Rose, she saw a bludger that Stephy was ever so carefully aiming at her too. You are not killing our seeker1 she thought. "ROSE GET OUT OF THE WAY! STEPHY'S HITTING A BLUDGER AT YOU! MOVE!" Skie's voice was loud and clear and she hoped that she got the message across as the bludger got closer and closer to her friend. "ROSE! MOVE!" she called again, that message much shorter and hopefully easier to hear and understand.

(Ravenclaw Keeper)
After a close escape from another bludger and found herself sighing with relief, and when the bludger went soaring towards Skie Polly felt a shudder go down when it made a respounding crack of contact onto her hufflepuff friend.
Polly smiled broadly at the performance of which stephy was putting on you get em girl Polly thought giggling to herself.
Still feeling tired Polly saw that the quaffle was no way near her goals so quickly flying to the stand she went and brought a hot chocolate carefully flying back to the posts but not without spilling some and making a nasty red mark on her hand
"This match is full of little injuries." Polly muttered to herself.
Scanning the pitch she saw that the quaffle was no where in sight, wrinkling her nose up in confusing Polly guessed that it must be because everyone was paying attention to what stephy was doing.
Polly quickly turned her attention to the focus of everyone else.
The bludger that was heading towards Rose.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose cupped her hand over her ear. Skie was screaming at her, but she could not quit hear what she was saying. Skie screamed louder. Move? Rose became stiff and looked behinde her. A bludger was headed right between her eyes. She pulled up on her broom as hard as she could. The bludger hit dead into her broom. Rose gasped as she started going down. She stroked her broom and began talking to it.

"Come on baby, puttl through. You can do it." She pulled up agan , and it obayed her. Good, now she had time to examine it. There was a large dent near the bottom, but other than that it looked ok.

Taking a deep breath, Rose soared back into the sky. "Ok, ok, I'm fine, my broom will be ok."

{Hufflepuff Chaser and Captain}

:;Dani heard the thuderous crack of Stephy's beater bat twice and nearly swore again, she hated when other people got hurt, but this was different, this was quidditch and Stephy was trying to hurt her team. Dani's cold-heartedness promised to make at least another ten scores for Hufflepuff.

She swerved around on her broom and dived to the ground where she had just seen it, the qwaffle, fall. Swooping up the red orb she tucked it against her side and cradled it with her right arm. Nearing the Ravenclaw goals her mind raced with possible plays but only one made sense right then...shooting through the center. Once she was within 20 feet of the golden hoops, she raised the qwaffle from her side and at 6 1/2 feet she tossed it aimming for the center hoop. Hoping and praying that it would go through...she listened through the falling snow to hear a ding::

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose looked all around her, trying to find Ribgy. She flew towards the Hufflepuff goal posts and saw her opponent grabb at the air. Rose gasped and pulled up beside her. Ribgy smirked at Rose.

"On no!" Rose grabbed her head in defeat. "I didn't make it!" But before she knew it, Ribgy was half way on the other side of the field, looking around. Fustrated, Rose fallowed.

"That little-" She had tricked Rose, making her think she had gotten the Snitch, so she could have a moment longer to find where it really was. "Your not gonna ever be let out of my sight now, Ribgy!" she called comeing up behind her fast.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

'Wow, the beaters sure are efficent' she muttered to herself as she saw the bludgers almost Rose off her broom. But then, Rose was already good and back in the game yelling after Rigby.
She did a little loop in the air and brushed some ice off her broom, 'it sure is cold today' Suddenly in the middle of her second loop, she caught a flash of red in the corner of her eye. It was the quaffle being thrown back in play! Hurtling after it, she barely caught it before slightly over shooting.
'I better work on those muggle geometry' she told herself as she rushed over to where Dani was -by the goal hoops.

(hufflepuff Chaser and Captain)

::Dani had always had a bad habit of clapping her hands when she wanted the ball, from the day she learned muggle basketball she'd done it. So now she did it again. Her vow still freash in her mind and already she was down by one only needing to score nine more times. She huffed and puffed and watched as her breath came out in steamy fog.

She soared around and caught up with Dragon, "Lets do something fun," She said to her fellow badger.

(Hufflepuff Seeker)

Rose darted past Ribgy, who was caught by suprize. This caused her to lose focus on the Sitch, which dissapered from both of there sights. Quickly scanning the air, Rose did some figure eights and flips. She looked over at Ribgy out of the corner of her eye. She was still searching as well. Rose had an idea.

The Hufflepuff Seeker gasped, and clamped her mouth shut. SHe shot off in one direction, hoping Ribgy would fallow, and she did. Rose picked up an eormuse speed, probally faster than she had ever gone before. She flew dead ahead, heading straight for the Ravenclaw stands. The crowd gasped as she came only yards away. With an outstreached hand, Rose pushed her broom forward, so that it lipped underneath herself. The high speed had made this moce incredably tricky. Now, hovering upside down, she only hoped that Ribgy would not be able to preform the tricky move and crash into the stands.

(Hufflepuff Chaser)

‘Stupid wind’ she muttered as the flew against the cold wind and breathed in relief as she arrived next to Dani and a few feet away from the hoops. She tilted her head, “Hm…something fun.” She repeated Dani’s words as she tossed her the ball. “What do you have on your mind?” she asked as she tried to think of a possibility – but all she could think of was hot chocolate…

HUFFLEPUFF CHASER AND CAPTAIN

Dani caught the ball and she and Dragon flew slowly towards the Ravenclaw goals there were no members of the opposing team in sight nor Bludgers. "Lets try a Badger Banter," She said and flew forward slowly setting the play in motion.

After being left breathless from screaming at Rose, Skie took a deep breath in, and it seemed that within that time Dani had scored! Wondering how she could miss so much in so little time, she trailed behind Dragon and Dani, just in case they needed help. Looking for bludgers and beaters, she saw that no one was in sight and, with luck, she wouldn't be hit by any more stupid bludgers.
