| Pamela was nervous, but she tried not to let it show as she walked through the large solid oak door into the duelling chamber. When she entered, she realized that her opponent was not yet in there. At least she could let herself be nervous for now.
Pamela walked around the room to familiarize herself with her surroundings. The walls were bare and made of wood, which appeared to be pine. There were torches on the walls, and tall lamps that held three candles in each corner. None of these were lit, but there was a fair bit of light coming in through some windows on the west wall. Pamela decided to leave the lighting as it was for now.
Since her opponent had not shown up yet, Pamela decided she may as well be comfy. She conjured a beanbag chair that was striped in scarlet and gold. Always nice to show a bit of house pride. Then she settled herself to wait for the duel to begin.

| ::Herby checks her hair one more time in the mirror, just to make sure everything is in her place. With a flick of her wand she created a rose perfume sent that filled the air. After a second of bathing in the scent, she decided it was time to head down to the dueling arena.::
::Opening the door she noticed that she was defiantly late as Pamela was sitting in a comfy chair. She seemed to be a bit nervous thought Herby, of course Herby wasn't nervous after several rounds of practice dueling with her house mates give her all the time she needed.::
::Smiling at Pamela, Herby greets herself::
"Hello there! Its so great to finally get a chance to really duel this time."
::Blinking her eyes like a cutie pie Herby stepped away from Pamela.::
"Would you like to start?"

| Pamela considered her opponent. She definitely seemed nice enough, but appearances could be decieving. She herself was often underestimated in battles and other similar situations. Still, she figured she should follow suit.
Pamela rose slowly from her chair to greet Herby. "So good to meet you," Pamela said, smiling sweetly. Then she withdrew her wand and pointed it at the chair she'd just risen from. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said with a swish and a flick. The chair began to float. Bringing her wand in a fast motion in Herby's direction she shouted, "Mubles elevese!" (furniture soar).
Pamela didn't want the chair to actually hit Herby. She was sure Herby was capable enough to deflect it. It was just meant as a means of distraction. As the chair went toward Herby, Pamela added the second move. "Tarantallegra!" Pamela said, pointing her wand this time at Herby. Then she stepped back, maintaining alertness to see what would happen.

| Herby watched Pamela rise from her chair. It was a bit deceiving on how tall Pamela was until she stood up. Feeling a bit short Herby sucked in her stomach in an act to look taller.
"So good to meet you," Pamela said
With a flick of her wand, Pamela made her chair rise. Feeling a bit shocked that Pamela would do this, started to baffle her. Feeling a bit confused as the chair begin to head straight towards her. Clearly it obvious that Pamela was ready to duel.
A smirk of readiness came upon Herby's face as the light shimmered on her face. As she gripped her wand, the wood felt cool and clam against her palm.
"Explodieren Sie"
The chair completely exploded, pieces flew everywhere. Herby shielded herself a bit and decided it was best to place a protection shield around her.
"Entscheidender Schutz"
This created an invisible shield that formed around her. But before she could wipe that last fragments of the chair off her robes, Pamela was ready to attack.
"Tarantallegra" Pamela screamed.
Flicking her wand as fast as she could Herby yells.
"Anti- Tanz"
This causes the dancing spell to be bounced back to Pamela's direction. Feeling a bit better now that she was more in control, Herby yells.
"Kissenangriff"
Shooting from the tip of her wand, pillows form that are aiming straight for Pamela.

| Pamela had expected Herby's physical instincts to react to the chair. She had thought Herby would roll away, so when the chair suddenly exploded on her command, Pamela was surprised.
She did not have a chance to shield herself. A bit of the chair arm flew straight for her and hit her on the right shoulder. She barely noticed it at the moment.
She had also hoped that the chair would distract Herby, allowing Pamela's spell to hit her. Her plan was really not working the way she had intended. She was hit by the spell she had sent herself. With her legs performing an uncontrollable and rather awkward dance, Pamela barely had time to register that there were large white things flying toward her. She reacted almost instinctively, crying, "Helada!" (freeze)
Her spell didn't work as well as it could have, due to the distraction her legs was creating. All but two of those objects were actually frozen in mid-air; one of those hit her on the head before she could shield herself. When they'd fallen to the ground, she looked at them, puzzled. "Pillows?" Pamela said. Shrugging, she waved her wand once more at Herby and said, "Cejas Crezca!" (eyebrows grow).
Pamela follwed it up by pointing her wand at the other pillows floating in mid-air and saying, "Gota." (drop) The fell gently to the ground. She tossed the two at her feet behind her about a yard or two away, thinking they may come in handy if she happened to go flying backward at any point.
That was when she realized that her shoulder was injured. Looking at it, she saw she had a decent gash. She summoned the pillow to her and said, "Diffindo," causing the pillowcase to tear. With her wand pointing at Herby, Pamela used her left hand to create a makeshift bandage by wrapping it around the cut on her shoulder.
