HEBB 2 : Garden

Dani nodded and smiled, "Yeah you're right."

"So....um...Have you ever broken a bone?" she asked.

"Yes, I broke the bone in my wrist one time." Chris said.

Dani nodded, "I broke my finger once, falling off a muggle skate thingy..."

"I slipped on a wet tile floor." Chris said.

Violet had been walking back towards the pool adn she heard Dani say that her friend may have done it because she had been dumped. Violet knew why she did it, her family had done been killed, so of couse she would be depressed. Violet walked out from behind the bushes and walked up to Dani.

"So you think that its ok for you to do it and my best friend to be depressed about her parents dying right infront of her. Whats your excuse? Your doggy eat your homework?" She asked.

Violet understood it completely and wished the girl would just stop talking about it. Violet jumped into the pool and swam as far as she could from her and Chris. Getting in her float, she ignored Dani and Chris for the rest of the afternoon.

Chris looked at Violet, he knew how it felt to lose a friend. His friend had died in a fire, but she didn't kill herself that was what must have been the hardest. Chris looked away from Vioelt and back at Dani, "So what did you do before you came in the house?" Chris asked.

Dani looked at Violet and then at Chris, "I was a runaway." she said and swam over to Violet.

"Listen, I did what I did because my father was insane, he locked me in a basement and I was dying. I thought if I could kill myself I could die sooner. I wasn't depressed, but after I got out of there I was. They sent me to a clinic and I was addicted to the pain, that's why I take so many pills, thats why my life is so messed up. " Dani looked the girl in the eyes. "I'm insane."

"So you are saying everyone who does it is insane?" Violet asked.

"Do you think I'm insane?" Dani asked.

"no.just plain weird."She said and hugged Dani.

Dani hugged her back, and they both fell into the pool again.

"Ahh."Violet yelled and let go of Dani. "i dont want to drown becuase of hugging."She said laughing.

Dani giggled, then started coughing for a second, then laughed harder. "Hmm...where's Kim and those snow cones?" she mused.

"I dont know, but I could use one."Violet said, laughing

Chris climbed out of the pool and grabbed a towl. He dried himself off and then he walked over to a chair and sat down.

Chris stood up and walked over to Kim and took one of the snocones. "Thanks. He said.

Dani squealed in delight, "Lets go get 'em" she said to Violet.

Violet laughed and swam to the side with Dani.

Shadow walked into the house and picked up a book before walking out again, sitting in the shadow of the house to read it.

Chris sat back down on the chair.

Dani picked up her drink and looked at Chris, Bravery pulsing through her veins.

"Hey Chris," she said sitting down next to him.

"Hello, Dani." Chris said.

Dani picked up his hand and rubbed her fingers over it, tracing the joints. She paused for a minute then looked into his eyes. "I like you." She said pointedly.

Violet had been eating her snow cone when she heard Dani tell Chris she liked him. Choking on her snow-cone, she smiled.

Chris spit out what he had been eating. "I'm sorry I think I misheard you, the ice was crunchy and i could hear. What did you say?"

Dani blushed, "I like you." she repeated dropping her gaze.

Violet glared at Chris. He knows he heard her perfectly well. Cracking her knuckles, she waited to hear what Chris had to say.

"Ok." Chris said. He looked down at his sno-cone.

"ok, is all you can say. She just told you she liked you adn thats all you can say is ok?"Violet yelled at Chris.

"Well, pretty much." Chris yelled back. He stood up and walked inside the house.

Violet threw her snow cone at Chris/;

Dragon almost trip over Cris who had rushed into the house. "What just happened?" she asked uncertainly to Alice. The mood of the garden seem solemn, unlike the happy and cheerful feeling she felt when she had left it.

Dani's mouth hung open as she watched Violet and Chris, she sighed and buried her head in her hands.

Violet turned around and looked at Dani. "Its ok." Violet siad. NOt wanting to see her friend like that, Violet got out looking for Chris.

Dani sat there head in hands listening to the condolence of her problem. She nodded, barely listening to what they were saying.

"You get back here Chri!" Violet yelled. "I swear, you will not have that pretty face for long!" She yelled, looking for a rock.

"What are you cringing at?" Violet yelled at everyone out there.

Dani sighed again, then sat up looking between Alice and Vi, she thought they were being really good friends to her.

"Thanks guys, but I think I'll talk to him myself." She stood up.

"Im coming with you so I can pound his isty bitsy cute tootie face in."Violet sia dnad grabbed Dani from the pool

Dani shrugged and walked into the kitchen.

Violet walked outside to the Rose Garden.

Pamela had followed Violet out to the garden. "Hey, Violet. Look, I'm sorry about what happened between us that one day. I was in a bad mood and I guess I was looking for someone to take it out on. I hope you can forgive me."

Violet looked up and tried to rememeber what she was talking about. "oh, umm yeah. Your forgiven. Sorry. to" Violet said.
