Holly glanced behind her at the wolf shadow.
"Hi," she said quietly, and continud walking.

Shadow woofed quietly in greeting and padded alongside her friend.

Holly smiled down at the wolf, and turned a corner, forcing herself through the snow.
"How are you?" she asked, "One bark for good two for bad,"

Shadow barked once and then cocked her head at Holly questioningly, asking the same question.

"Im alright," Holly said shrugging, "Kinda annoyed we're stuck here.....but you never know. As my old man used to say, a bad circumstance can be changed by even the littlest of intellectual minds,"
She glanced at Shadow.
"Or something to that effect,"

Shadow gave a wolfish smile.

"But why does it have to be bad that we're stuck here...I have loads of sweets in my bag and I know loads of useful spells...plus I'm here with all the funnest people I know...I just wish Jamie were here," said Natalie.

"We all wish that," Holly muttered glancing at wolf shadow, "And I guess we could like tell scary stories or some- AHHHH!"
Holly's foot had broken through some thin ice. Holly swore as George swerved across the ice. Despite his size, he was probably one of the heaviest there.

Shadow bounded after George, clamping her jaws around the poor monkey's tail.

((How could George be the heaviest? lmao weird....ANYWAY:))

Holly sighed with relief as George was saved, but felt the ice slipping under her feet.
She swore again and reached out for Natalie, but before she could, the ice smashed and they all fell under.

Shadow managed to drag George back to land before she saw the others go under. Taking a deep breath, Shadow dived in after them.

"Oh my.....what happen," said Natalie, who had fallen asleep standing up.

Shadow managed to grab Holly's robes in her teeth and pushed towards the durface.

Holly felt her body go cold, and in a few seconds numb. The breath left her lungs and she panicked....and then she was falling, falling, fallen.

Shadow broke th surface of the water, Holly's robes still in her teeth. She drew the girl onto the shore before diving back under after Natalie.

((OH DEAR LORD))

Nobody heard Natalie speak because she was drowning. She looked around. Holly.

Natalie swam through the biting cold water toward her friend even though she couldn't feel her legs.

Holly didnt move. Her eyelids did not flicker, she did not cough. She didnt move her lips slightly. Nothing.

Shadow grabbed Natalie's robes and dragged her to the surface and put her beside Holly.

Still, Holly did not move.

Shadow licked Holly's face and curled up next to her, trying to get her warm again.

Natalie was unconcious, but she was saying the same word over and over again.

"Holly...Holly...Holly," Natalie muttered.

George ambled over, shook himself clean of water and curled up on Hollys other side.
"Th-thank you Shadow," George croaked, "I think we need to get back to the cave."
He lifted out Hollys wand and levitated her body in front of him.

"Holly...Holly," Natalie said, still unconcious.

George glanced at Natalie and levitated her too. She didnt seem up to walking.
And he was worried about Holly. What if she didnt wake up?

"No....Holly...no" said Natalie, flailing unconciously.

George whimpered in fear of what he would do in a world without Holly.

"Holly...I'm coming....I'm coming," said Natalie, swimming in mid-air.

Shadow nipped Natalie's arm lightly, hoping to bring her friend round.

Hayley had heard some sort of comotion outsied the cae, and walked out nervously, to see what had happened. She looked around, then saw George, holding Holly's wand, and levitating a body infront of him. It was Holly. Hayley's heart froze, as she raced ahead, slipping. "HOLLY!" she yelled, voice shaking. "Natalie, oh God, Natalie, what happened?" she knelt down. "Shadow, what happened?" her eyes were slowly filling. She stood up again, and looked down to George. "George, what....what happened?"

Ice cracked, they fell in. Shadow quickly told Hayley through thoughts.

Hayley nodded, and scooped up George, thinking he would be cold. She stroked his head, and Blueberry huddled near him. She took Holly's wand, and continued George's levitation. Are you okay? Hayley asked Shadow.

The black wolf nodded and proceeded to drag the two girls into the cave.

When they reached the cave, Hayley grabbed a blanket, and lowered Holly's body down onto it. "Holly....Holly, don't you dare....you have to wake up," she whispered to herself. She restarted the nearly non-existent fire.

Shadow put Natalie close to Holly and curled up between them, trying to share the warmth that her thick wolf fur gave her.

Hayley grabbed another blanket, and draped round the two girls. "Come on!" she urged. She pointed her wand at the fire, which grew bigger, and warmer. She curled up beside them also.

Shadow whined quietly, willing her friends to wake up.

And still, Holly did not stir.
George swallowed and cocked his head to the side, looking like Holly, but in monkey form.

Shadow stood up and jumped over Holly before morphing back to human form. She then kneeled at her friend's heads, putting one hand on their foreheads. Closing her eyes, Shadow concentrated heard before allowing her healing magic to flow through the two girls.

Natalie screamed, still unconcious.

"WAHHHHHHHHHH...NOOOOOOOOO...NOOOOOOOOO...AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Natalie cried, as though in pain, "HOLLLLLLYYYYYYYY!"

"Alright, drastic measure time." Shadow said. She took a deep breath and allowed her mind into Natalie's.

"Wha...what....who the heck is that?" asked Natalie to herself, still not stirring

It's me. Shadow thought to Natalie. I need you to come round.

But...where's Holly....I can't find Holly in the water Natalie found herself thinking. She thought she was still in the lake, when she was actually safe on dry land.

Nat, you're back in the cave, I went after you and Holly. She's riight next to you right now. Shadow assured her.

George looked over at the happenings and put a hand on the back of Hollys head. Sure enough, when his hand came back out....it was covered in blood.
Riley woke up just in time to see George remove his hand.
He swore.
"What the heck happened?" he demanded.

No she's not....I can see her...she's drowning Natalie insisted.

You are going to come round before I FORCE you to! Shadow threatened. You are unconscious!

Then how come I'm not breathing then? Natalie asked.

You are breathing, you're just imagining. Shadow replied.

Natalie coughed up a great deal of water and opened her eye's.

"Holly...Holly?" she said, before she finally spotted Holly.

"Oh crap....HOLLY!" she said, shaking her friend gently, "Holly! Please wake up....pkease!"
