and will end on Wednesday 7th May - 5 days of rpg posting!

When

Weather: The war weather doesn't want to lave Hogwarts, only a small breeze can be felt besides the happy sun.

Remember
to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the
pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly
begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have
scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See the howler in the
main forum for more info.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Oh look," Pamela said. "There's a tornado coming." The way she said it was very nonchalant, but that's how she always was in a situation like that. "Charlie, we should probably get the guests to the ground floor. There are some meeting rooms down there."

Before she knew it they were all on the ground floor. Charlie had his arm around her shoulders, but that was weird. When did she even meet Charlie Weasley? As she waited for the world to come crashing down around her, Pamela heard the branches of a tree tapping a window. Except there weren't supposed to be any windows on the ground floor. How were branches even tapping against it?

Slowly she began to wake. She'd had yet another of her tornado dreams. She had those at least once a week between the months of April and September. She'd had them ever since she could remember. She could hear the tapping from her dream still. Rubbing her eyes and looking around confusedly, she realized it was an owl at her window. "Odd," she muttered to herself. She opened the window for the owl and pulled the note off his leg. It was a letter from home, letting her know that her sister and brother-and-law were getting a divorce. "I guess Mum didn't want me to have to deal with it in front of the entire school."

Getting out of bed, Pamela glanced in the mirror and groaned. She still had the gryffindor colors on her face. That must have been what Gemma had done during the last match. Of course, she couldn't prove it, and since she didn't know exactly what the spell was, no one had been able to help her reverse it. Hopefully with time it would wear off.

In the meantime, Pamela got dressed. Now that it was warming up, there was no sense in wearing her track suit under her robes. Instead she put on a gold tank top and some scarlet shorts. As she was pulling up her scarlet and gold striped socks, Pamela's mind went back to the dream. She wondered what Charlie Weasley had been doing there. That was definitely a dream.

She headed down to the common room, but first she knocked on the doors of all her teammates. "Wake up! Quidditch match against Ravenclaw today!" She yelled, hoping that would prompt some of the team to make it down early.

When she got down to the great hall, she endured the now customary stares and giggles prompted by her face decoration. Glaring at a few people, she sat down to have a quick breakfast of crepes with fruit. Drinking her coffee at a rather rapid speed, she stood back up and said to the entire Gryffindor table, "I better see you all down there."

When she got to the locker room, Pamela threw her stuff down. Then she grabbed her brooms and gear and walked out. It was rather warm; the sun was quite insistant. But, there was a light breeze playing and a couple reluctant clouds scattered here and there. She mounted her broom and flew up into the air. "Hiya Herby," she said to the only other person out.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

Pamela was flying laps around the pitch when she saw Stephy join her on the pitch. "Hey Stephy! Did you eat?" She asked. "You know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day." Pamela had to agree with Stephy about the weather. It was almost perfect for quidditch. The wind had picked up a little bit, though. "The sun could stand to be a little less persistant," she added.

Pamela hoped that her teammates would get here soon. She thought a couple of her teammates had said they might not be able to make it. Pamela wasn't too concerned, though, as they had reserves. Both Izzy and Amber were pretty good as far as she knew, so there wasn't too much to worry about. That is, if they were going to be able to make it.

"Don't worry about things you have no control over," Pamela scolded herself. She could almost hear her dad's voice inside her head. Rule number one: Don't sweat the small stuff. Rule number two: Everything is small. Rule number three: If you find something that is not small, refer to rule number two. That particular philosophy of his, while not a bad though, often got on her nerves. "Not everything is small stuff!" she shouted.

Then she immediately looked down at her broom handle and felt her face heat up. She hadn't meant to yell. Pamela was sure everyone would be thoroughly confused, since they probably couldn't hear her internal dialogue. She hated when she had moments like that.

(Gryffindor Seeker)

"Okay," Pamela replied. "I was going to let you know that if you wanted one, I have an extra breakfast bar. I usually keep them on hand. Same goes to you Herby. I don't know if you ate or not."

Pamela quickly got over her embarrassment. She usually did. She decided that since she was here early, and not many people were out here she would try out a manuever she had come up with the theory of. She had named it Toast for a Lion. Essentially, it was a downward corkscrew motion designed to slow down a too-fast dive.

She started her test out by flying fairly high into the air. She was well above the goal posts. Here goes. If this doesn't work, Gryffindor may be temporarily out a seeker.

After taking a deep and steadying breath, Pamela pointed her broom toward the ground and dove as fast as she could. There was something disturbing about intentionally falling from this height with nothing to stop you, but your own nerve or instincts. Once she had fallen a considerable amount, she began the corkscrew motion. She felt herself start to slow down, but not nearly enough.

"Oh shoot!" she heard herself exclaim, and she tried to pull out of the dive, but with the speed she was going, she didn't do it in time. She fell to the earth with a thud. She sat there for a moment, a little dumbfounded and quite embarrassed. Now she was very glad that her teammates weren't here. They didn't have to see her stupid mistake. After a bit, she decided that nothing was broken. She was probably going to have a few bruises, though. Mounting her broom, she winced a bit before flying, once again, into the air.

(commentator)

"Welcome everyone to the 10th Quidditch match of the season! I am your hostess with the mostess Etta!" pulling her hand away from the mic Etta leaned over to her hubby who was currently shackled to her "is mostess a word?"

He simply shrugged.

Growling at him, Etta resumed her commentary.

"Alrighty then folks! Today we have those pesky lions taking on the even peskier birds. So on the field for Ravenclaw is Herby and Stephy, HI GIRLS!" etta waved like an insane person on loon gas. "And for Gryffindor we have a full team! Oops i mean we have Pamela! HI PAMELA!!!"

Dropping her mic mid wave Etta scooped down and was traumatised. She'd just accidentally looked up Severus Snapes robes. Ashen faced Etta looked at him in disbelief, before turning to Elfie.

"Elfie, please, tell your husband its unhygienic to keep a roasted hippo between his knees!" choked Etta, the mic was still on, her voice echoed around the pitch. "oops."

Sitting down weakly Etta clung to Captain Jack.

"all we need now is the Referee and the rest of Gryffindor ... And a drinks vendor would be good right about now ... Where's my magic cooler? Oi any Huffie's in the stands? Go fetch my magic cooler!" Shouted Etta into her mic with an innocent yet deadly smile upon her still pale face.

(Referee)

"Oh oh my trips between Portugal are leaving me unreliable. Shoot"

Raistlin entered the field cursing. Holding the wooden box with the balls he quickly released them all. Flying upwards he trew the quaffle and blew the whistle.


"Go go go, What are you waiting for? Stop looking at me I know Im gorgeous but I'm taken now!"

A roasted hippo? Pamela began to wonder if she had hit her head harder than she'd realized. She now seemed to be hearing things. Although, she did see Herby give a little giggle, so maybe it wasn't Pamela's imagination. Looking, toward the stands, into the commentator box, Pamela saw that Etta had a man shackled to her. "Ookay..." Pamela said to herself before waving in Etta's general direction in response to her welcome.

Shortly thereafter, Pamela saw Rai make his way onto the pitch. He seemed a little stressed. That, of course, was an understatement, as he had told the players off for not flying after the balls soon enough. She had seen the snitch for a brief instant, before it had flown off. Somehow she had missed it's direction. "Ah well," she sighed.

She watched with annoyance as Kim scooped up the quaffle and tossed it toward a hoop. With no keeper on the Gryffie side, Ravenclaw would more than likely be ten points up any minute. Just catch the bloody snitch, and pull of some cool maneuvers, and maybe it won't matter how many goals they score.

She did hope her teammates would be here soon, now that she had already proved that A Toast for a Lion probably wasn't a very good move after all, and she didn't have to worry about them seeing her crash (hopefully)

(Gryffindor Seeker)

Pamela sighed as she heard the ding that told her that someone had scored. As she was the only flying blur of red on the pitch as of yet, she knew it mus have been from Kim's attempt. I've got to do something about this.

Pamela thought that the other team's players were trying to plan something. She thought maybe she could do something that, while perfectly legal and not unethical, would hurt their chances of scoring. As she was coming up with solutions to possible scenarios, she thought she saw a gleam of golden light over by the spectator stands. Shouting with glee, she leaned forward on her broom and accellerated. It was a simple move that she had nicknamed The Gryffie Zip. It was basically a forward acceleration to catch up with the snitch.

When she got close to the stands, she held out her hand as if to catch it. That was when she realized that it wasn't the snitch. A first year's watch had been reflecting the sun. "Why on earth would you wear that thing to a quidditch match," she snapped, flying back in the other direction. Immediately she felt bad. Usually she was so cheerful. I must be under more stress than I realize. Taking a few deep breaths, she resumed her search.

(Commentator)


"umph slurp umph cough cough," Etta attempted to speak with her mouth full of hippo leg and coke.

Coughing loudly from her near death choking incident, Etta leaned over the commentaters box and pointed at Rai who was quickly leaving the pitch.

"LOOK! Rai has his underpants on over his trousers," she roared with laughter. "Poor Daddio, to many hits to the head now he thinks he's superman!"

Jack whispered in Etta's ear and she frowned.

"Apperntly we have a game now, oh look here is Kim for Ravenclaw and look Elana! Wow those pesky birds are sure out for the bread crums today.... i mean... umm.... here's the game so far!" she stuttered with a blush as Jack nibbled on her ear.

"Herby of Ravenclaw has a bludger, and she doesnt look to menacing if you ask me, come on deary you need to look all evil and bad and well a bit like Rai! Kim has the Quaffle and she's off like a bat out of hell for the Gryffy goals ... Hi Girls!" Etta waved at Kim and Elana and gave them a thumbs up.
"Ah Kim is talking about kitty cats ... ohhh i think she means the Gryffies ... poor gryffies in my day i loved nothing more than knocking out a gryf... wait no that was Kate of Ravenclaw, i still have her blood on my bat you know...."

Etta saw a hand reach out and attempt to take the mic from her, she whipped round in her seat and choke slammed DT who looked rather pleased at the attention.

"Urgh i told Streamies to keep you locked up but does she listen to me? Oh noooo, never will either. Right sit down and behave ... oh go play with Elfie!" Etta pushed DT in the direction of a flustered looking Elfie who was currently kicking Severus Snape from the judges booth.

"young love," sighed Etta. The ding of the quaffle going through the goals drew Etta's attention back to the game.

"Oh now i saw that coming, Ravenclaw 10 Gryffindor Nil ... nothing new there if you ask me."
