Shadow, Raven and Shaeman's leaving party.

The trio stood in the shadows just inside the forbidden forest, waiting for the friends that they had called. Everyone had been called so that they could say a last farewell before they had to leave them, their home, Hogwarts, everything, and return once more to their home dimension. Shadow held her head low, trying not to cry. Raven was picking at the hem of her cloak, and Shaeman was emotionless, even though he screamed out to the sky in his heart. They had told no one that they were leaving, and now was the time to tell them, before anyone tried to find a way to let them stay.

Shadow had read the stars so often, that she knew that there was no hope of being allowed to stay. The High Priestess' orders were clear. All Synari were being called back to their home dimension, no exceptions. She blinked back her tears desperately, trying to put a brave face on their leaving, but to no avail.

Raven wasn't crying, but her heart was filled with anger. Anger at the orders they had received. Just as they found their place and a close circle of friends, somewhere that didn't care who your parents were or how dangerous you were, they had to be ripped cruelly from everything that they wanted.

Shaeman stood a little way off, standing with two pegusi, one a rich brown, the other pure black. He was rubbing the black one's shoulder, trying to sort out his head. One part of him wanted to break down and cry, the other begged him to scream aloud in anger, but he did neither. It was not his place. He had found company on Earth, even though he was more dangerous than his half sisters, he had found a girl he loved more than anything, but no. It was not meant for him. Not for someone like him.

"She isnt going to hurt me is she?" Violet asked, looking at Shaeman.

Shaeman shook his head and touched noses with Merlas.

"Is that like cheating?" She asked, shaking her head. "Not that I can say anything." She mumbled. "Is Shadow here?" She asked Merlas.

Shaeman looked offended.
It's called saying hello! He thought to her. Merlas lifted the wing sheltering Shadow. Even though the night was warm, Shadow was shivering and coughing.

"Sure we can go with that." Violet mumbled, walking towards Shadow. "Shad, hun. You need to get inside." Violet whispered.

SHadow coughed, shaking her head and pulling her cloak further around herself.

"Shaeman, help me." Violet said, knowing Shadow wouldnt go on her own.

Shaeman nodded and nickered softly to Merlas, who nodded. Shaeman moved forwards as the mare stood up and gently took Shadow by the cloak, lifting her onto Shaeman's back. Shadow struggled feebly, but didn't manage to break out of her horse's grip.

"Shadow, we are trying to help you. You would die out here." Violet said, looking around for Luthwing.

Shadow tried to get off Shaeman, but Merlas used her nose to push Shadow down until she was lying on SHaeman's neck and kept her pinned there.

"Er....do you want me to help keep her down?" Violet asked, pulling out her wand.

Merlas lifted her head long enough to nod.

Violet whispered some spells and ropes shot out of the tip, warpping around Shadow.

Shadow cried out horsely in fear as the ropes took a hold of her, and Merlas snorted in worry.

"I'm sorry." Violet said, "But thats all we can do until we get her inside." Violet said, getting back on Shaeman. "I think she is good to wear she cant get out." Violet whispered, petting Merlas.

Shaeman looked at Merlas before lowering his head and pawing the ground. Merlas nodded and Shaeman picked VIolet up by the back of the robes, placing her on Merlas' back.

"Or that works." Violet said, sitting on Merlas back.

Be grateful, normally, she won't let anyone but Shadow ride her. Shaeman warned before setting off at a gallop, Merlas following behind in a smoother gallop than Shaeman's rocky gait.

Violet closed her eyes while holding on to her mane

Shaeman arrived at the main doors of the castle and trotted inside.

Violet slipped off Merlas, petting her. "Can you stay out here?" She asked her, looking at Shaeman. "Hurry back to my dorm." She said.

Merlas whinnied gently and galloped back towards the forest. Shaeman looked at Violet before walking off in the direction of the hospital wing.

"Or go that way and get Madame Pomfry made at me. Either one, I'm still dead." Violet said, following them.

Shaeman slowed to a walk to stay alongside Violet when they got to the hospital wing.

"Come on." She said, opening the door for them. "Madame!" Violet yelled, leading Shaeman to a bed to but her at.

Shaeman waited patiently, trying to resist the urge to chew on the vase of flowers that was right in front of her nose.

Violet undid the ropes on Shadow and waved her wand to move Shadow to the bed. "You can turn back into my boyfriend now." Violet said.

Shaeman morphed back.
"Thanks, I was about to eat those flowers."

"They would taste horrible." She said, pulling one. "They have a potion on them to keep them from dying." She said, as the nurse came out fussing already. Violet rolled her eyes.

Shaeman chuckled quietly at Violet's remark, but sobered up at the nurse came out.

"What happen to her! I bet you had something to do with it Riddle!" the nurse shouted, rushing them out. "Hey, I had nothing to do with it!" Violet shouted. The nurse ignored her.

"No, it wasn't Violet." Shaeman said.

"Hush mister! OUt out out." The nurse shouted. Violet grabbed Shaeman's hand and walked out side the door. "She wont let us in there while she is working." Violet told him, sitting on the floor.

Shaeman bit his lip and left with Violet.

"The only thing she does right is fix people." Violet mumbled.

Shadow looked at Pomfrey fearfully.

"Shaeman, it's ok." Violet said, standing up. She walked over to him, wrapping her hands around him from behind him. "I swear, she knows what she is doing." Violet said.

"I hope she'll be ok..." Shaeman said.

"Dont worry...well you can. But it will only eat you up." Violet said, reaching up to kiss his cheek

Shaeman nodded silently.

Shadow had curled up into a tight, protective ball.

The nurse started plaing spells on her. Walking over to the cabinet, she grabbed some potions.

Shadow reacted to the spells, rolling away, her survival instinct kicking in.

"Be still child!" The nurse shouted, pulling her wand out again.

Shadow stood up shakily, looking fearfully at the nurse.

The nurse quickly shot a stunner at Shadow.

Shadow tried to dodge, and succeeded, the spell hitting the wall behind her.

"Riddle!" The nurse screamed. "What have you done to this child!" She yelled, throwing open the door.

"It wasn't her!" Shaeman roared.

"Well someone did!" The nurse shouted, glaring hard at Violet. "I know what your father done all those years ago." She said low, walking back into the room.

Shadow was trembling on the floor, having fallen there.

Shaeman held Violet close, feeling protective and responsible.
