Okay first off i adored Jenny, and i think this wont be the last time we see her.

Now my theory, well, back in the 1960s when Dr Who first started he had susan his "granddaughter" as a companion. I think, because Jenny's facial features are very simular to Susan, that maybe Jenny has a child in the future, tracks the doctor down to when he was FIRST the doctor and leaves Susan with him.

hmm maybe thats over reaction too much but its possible!

AND i love the fact that a former Doctor's daughter is playing the Doctor's daughter

This week the Doctor meets an old friend. Or a new friend. Or possibly not a friend at all.



Silence in the Library
The episode - the first of a two-parter - is set in the 51st century on a planet housing the biggest library in the universe. So big, in fact, that the whole planet is a library. However, 100 years ago it was suddenly sealed off and its inhabitants sent out a cryptic warning: "If you want to live, count the shadows."

When the Doctor and Donna arrive on the scene, the entire library is deserted. Using one of his fancy gadgets, the Doctor determines that he and Donna are the only two humanoid life-forms on the planet, but when it comes to general life-forms, there are apparently a million million knocking around.

A new companion?
A few more humanoid life-forms join the party before too long, as a team headed up by Professor River Song (Alex Kingston) arrives to investigate The Library and its moving shadows. Song instantly recognises the Doctor, claiming that they have been to many places together - but the Doctor has no idea what she's talking about.

The blue pill or the red pill?
Meanwhile, somewhere else, a little girl is having visions. There are intruders in her library...

Naturally, the library houses its fair share of books. Being the biggest library in the universe, it has books on every subject imaginable - including detailed accounts of historic events. Events which, for Donna at least, have yet to happen. The Doctor warns her against having a peek, claiming that spoilers are best avoided. The cheek! The Doctor's clearly not a Tube Talk fan.

This week's episode was good. Interesting to see a world without the Doctor. Rose was great, though her voice has changed...it looked like Billie was struggling a little to get the words out at times!

A good episode, though the next time trailer is what had me squeeing :D

Rose, Jack, Martha, SJS (and Luke) AND Torchwood? Squeeeeee

Gah. Now we have to wait a week :-((

Catherine Tate WAS AMAZING as Donna, one of her best scenes in my opinion.

Yay for Billie being back! But oh poo, she sounded more like Belle from Secret Diaries of a Call Girl then Rose Tyler from the Powel Estate lol.

Wasnt happy about the lack of the Doctor - i NEED my Doctor fix.

Two words - Bad Wolf ..... has it been seen through the series does anyone know?

Anyone else not cry when martha "died"? I blubbed for Gwen and Owen *sobs* when they "died" and almost choked on my cuppa when John repeated the bit about Jack since i was too busy blubbing to hear it lol

That spoiler i found seems even more likely now, so its looking to be one of the best end of series of DW yet.

Oh and did anyone else notice the street donnna's family were moved to was the same one from the final of last series DW? With Martha in the house spreading hope?

I didn't really have much of a reaction at any of their "deaths" because I knew there'd be a great big reset button at the end!

The cloister bell is going in the TARDIS at the end of the ep...that means trouble...

I don't think there's been mention of the Bad Wolf throughout this series so far, but I think the Doctor understands it to mean Daleks...

Oh any idea on who River Song is? From the other week's epi .... cant remember its name lol... Anyway, John thinks she will be important to the final or maybe one of the specials.

I cant wait till next week, JACK IS BACK! I GET TO SEE MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you look at the shot-by-shot of the trailer, you can see lots of planets surrounding the earth. Perhaps the earth has been taken out of our solar system - and that's why the stars are going out?

Well first off I wasn't expecting the rest of the Torchwood crew or the kids with Sarah Jane. But yays!! *happy dance* Missed the last ep of the Sarah Jane spin-off sadly and can't find it online...grr. weee found it lol

Anyways, I am all excited cause I get to see Jack again *dreamy sigh*

All thats missing is Captain John...who I know wouldn't really fit in with it all, but he's be nice to look at

Preview: A 'Doctor Who' reunion

This week on Doctor Who there's the mother of all reunions. In 'The Stolen Earth' - the first episode of the two-part finale - our planet is suddenly plucked from the solar system and deposited (along with 26 others) in a place far, far away.

Donna and The Doctor are left clueless in the TARDIS, which is hovering in the empty space where the Earth used to be. Meanwhile, on Earth itself, mass panic and hysteria reigns. Companions from the past start to band together to summon the Doctor and save the world from "the darkness".

This means the return of Martha Jones, on assignment for UNIT in New York; Captain Jack, who appears in the Torchwood hub alongside Gwen and Ianto; and Sarah Jane, together with son Luke and trusty computer Mr. Smith.

Oh, and what about Rose? Well, she decides to pay Donna's parents a visit and misses out on a lot of the action. But she deserves a reunion too, doesn't she? Yes. Yes she does.

- Rose and the Doctor do not meet until the last five minutes of episode 12: The Stolen Earth, in which as the Doctor runs towards Rose he is shot by a Dalek. The left side of his chest glows and he slumps to the floor. Rose shoots the Dalek and goes to the Doctor, begging him not to die. Jack and Donna come to them and carry the Doctor to the TARDIS where he starts to regenerate...[end of episode 12]

- As the Doctor regenerates at the beginning of episode 13 the regeneration energy sparks out and hits the Doctor's hand in the glass jar which he now has in the TARDIS. This causes the regeneration to go badly wrong, causing the Tenth Doctor to remain the Tenth Doctor, and the hand grows into a duplicate of the Tenth Doctor. So, two David Tennant's are running around episode 13.

- The proper Doctor is still in the his brown suit. And Ten's duplicate wears the blue suit. However, the duplicate in the blue suit is human and not a Time Lord...or Gallifreyan.

- Donna dies, but the Doctor goes back in time and saves her life and ends up wiping her memory of everything she has done with him, so she doesn't remember who he is.

- At the end of episode 13, Rose goes back to her parallel world where the human duplicate of the Tenth Doctor stays with her, and gets to live the life that the proper Doctor has never had. Basically, the 10/Rose shippers get their ending even if its not the real Doctor. The duplicate of Ten is only human so only has a life-span of a human, so Rose gets her happy ending with a "fake Doctor".

- I can also confirm that the rumours about Mickey and Martha in Torchwood Series 3 are in fact true....



2009 Specials Spoilers!!!


- The Master does not appear in the Series 4 finale, however he is set to appear in the 2009 specials. He was originally lined up to appear in Series 4 but is not now.

- The sea-devils are also set to reappear in the specials....

- One special will air at Easter 2009. The other three (there is now four in 2009) will be a three-parter, airing over the Christmas period, with part one on Xmas Day, part 2 on Boxing Day and Part 3 on New Years Day in 2010. (So one of the specials will air in 2010..)


If you don't believe me, you will be surprised in two weeks and next year...

What an episode! I was on the edge of my seat for most of it...there was some hammy acting by UNIT but the rest was amazing.

And gahhhh the ending! Rose! Doctor! Then...dalek! Gah!

I loved how all the different sections of the whoverse - Torchwood, Sarah Jane and Luke, Martha, Rose & the Nobles and the Doctor - all came together in this episode.

*cries* He can't regenerate!

Oh - but did anyone else notice the bubbling hand in a jar was deliberately put into two of the shots? I think maybe that might come into play... how, I don't know...

i loved the comment about Tosh and Owen, nice to see they were remembered.

I cried when i saw Rose and the Doc and slow motion and then *makes THAT noise*

Harriot Jones - dont trust her. Serioulsy, she aint dead, anyone else not think that other than Davros who else hates the Doc just as much as the Master and who is on earth? Who can lead the Daleks to the locations of the others? Um her.

The hand in the jar - you so know my spoiler is right about that, dont deny it!

Oh and one more thing about Harriot Jones, anyone else notice "the sound of the drums" when Harriot made her connection with the others.?

I wonder how it'll be done? I mean...if there are two Doctors, one human and one Timelord, will the "fake" human one have all the real Doctor's memories? Will it be in essence the Doctor?

For those of you who have seen Buffy - think of the episode "The Replacement" in season five - will it be like that where they're *both* the Doctor, just a duplicate?

My understanding of it is they re both the doctor, both have the same memories etc but one is human ... and they wear different coloured suits lol.

Although i think, in reference to The Replacement, the two Doctors will be exactly the same whereas in that epi the two Xander's had different personalities. The only thing different between the 2 docs is one is human and one is time lord

But why is one human? I mean if they're exactly the same...doesn't it make sense that they would both be timelords? Oh well, I guess they'll cleverly explain it all somehow...xD

a lot of places are saying she is Romana.

For those of you who are only new to Dr Who and havent actuially seen any of the series before Troll Face, Romana is a Timelady, she once knew the doctor and he called her "the noblest he knew." and as someone pointed out you can get noblest without noble.

The theory ties in with Torchwood so if you havent seen Torchwood i wont go into details about the theory, other than, like the Master and Doctor, who stored their timelordyselves into watches, Romana may have used a locket/ladies watch on a chain, something which was given to Jack on New Years 1999/2000.

Its a wonderful theory!

I remember seeing pictures and set reports from when they were filming the finale, and it looks like Donna gets deposited back with her family...

True, but what if, like when the Doctor became human in Family of Blood, or whatever, Ramana locked her timelady self into a locket and made herself a family, like the doctor, he had a family when he was human, we just didnt see them.

But of course theres the whole Rose comment to Donna, "we've been getting funny readings off you since you were born."

What I have seen so far in regards to Donna Noble makes me convinced she is Romana. Consider the clues: her double heartbeat in 'The Stolen Earth'; her being able to be drawn into the TARDIS by means of particles found within the core of the console(there is more to Donna arriving inside the TARDIS than just being infected with Huen energy). The largest clue of all is in her surname. I'll leave you to ponder that one, but I'm sure you'll get the gist of what I mean soon enough.

rumour has it that david morriseys character is a victorian actor playing the part of 'the doctor' on the stage in victorian times, in the play he has a companion called rosetta.

Huh? Rumour is that Morrisey is running around pretending to be the Doctor (OFF the stage) and he stages a fake alien invasion and tries to "save the world" from cybershades...but I think real cybermen show up.

Yay, that was great! A little cheesy in places, but that's to be expected.

I'm going to have to watch it again before I can comment properly but there was some great moments - I loved when they were all in the TARDIS, standing around the console. I was all squeeeee :D

Spinning daleks made me laugh

Having two DT's around is always a good thing

I thought the TARDIS pulling the Earth home was a little cheesy but it was a big YAY moment, so I didn't care.

Hmm what else? I'm happy about Mickey and Martha heading off with Jack to join Torchwood.

Ohh...the moment in Bad Wolf Bay with Rose was sweet. Again, a little cheesy but it made the Ten/Rose shipper in me go awwww. Cos you know what he whispered

Oh! I forgot! DoctorDonna - CT was great at that - it was a weird idea but I think it worked well.

I'll be back with more coherent thoughts when I've watched it again.

DoctorDonna - YAY! Although i did shout HANDS OFF MY HUSBAND a couple of times, i loved DoctorDonna. CT was brilliant, the best so far (the episode when she changes the world is a close 2nd) imo

HA! I was right with the spoiler yet again, two doctors, one human, OMG! I LOVED IT!

Rose and the two Doctors, i squealed when he whispered "I love you" in her ear (we so know thats what he said.) i was all FanGirl yay for happy ending! lol

The whole thing was just amazing, although Martha and Mickey the Idiot going off with Jack to Torchwood - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Sorry but it just doesnt feel right somehow. Not for replacing Tosh and Owen.

OH OH OH The bit with Rose and the doctor and Gwen, i have waited FOREVER for that moment and it was GREAT!

Overall: a brilliant end to the series, everyone is happy, except the Doctor, but he will find someone else soon *points at self* i am the new companion. Thought you ought to know. lmao

CT was MUCH better with a Timelord brain. Too bad she lost that.

It was nice having a huge reunion with everyone. xD

Did anyone else notice that at the end, when Donna is chatting on her phone, the light catches the ring she's wearing a few times and then her ring pulses light for a second...what was that about? Seems like I'm grasping at straws here, but then on the other hand, why bother focusing on the ring at all?

Oh i saw what you meant about the ring, i just thought it was light reflecting off the stone as she moved.

I wonder if there will be a mickey/martha ship next season...now that they might both be hanging out at Torchwood.

ARGH ARGH ARGH Torchwood will be horrid with them in it, they should bring in 2 new people, Martha and Mickey just dont live up to the standards Tosh and Owen left ... anyway there too many letters in their names for them to be a success at Torchwood eg Jack, Gwen, Tosh, Owen, Greg, *tries to remember past characters* John .... Ianto doesnt count cos he was never a fully fledged member of the team, he was just the goofer who helps Jack, in the boardroom and um, yes anyway *cough*

The Press
In April 2008 newspapers published photographs of the Cybermen being filmed amidst artificial snow at St Woolos Cemetery in Newport. A BBC Wales spokesman confirmed that the filming was for Doctor Who, but declined to give any further information. On 31 May 2008 in an interview on Jonathan Ross's BBC Radio 2 show, David Tennant confirmed that the Cybermen would be returning in the 2008 Christmas Special.[10] A trailer for the Christmas special aired after Journey's End displayed the Cybermen with text on the screen stating the Christmas episode will feature 'The return of the Cybermen'. At next time trailer at the end of Journeys end confirmed Cybermen appearing in the 2008 Christmas special.

Other notes:
The Cybus Cybermen return for the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas Special however it is not confirmed whether they are our universes Mondas Cybermen or the Parallel Cybus Cybermen. Also some other looking Cybermen with diamond handles and cloaks were seen.

It is likely to be both universes cybermen because in the trailer, they had cybus logos on them and same in the filming pics (see photo album "Xmas 2008 cybermen pics") and the bronze cybermen have never been seen before so it must be from this universe, the bronze cybermen is called cybershades.

The cybermen are still alive because back in Army Of ghosts/Doomsday The cybermen and daleks that were sucked into the void were the ones who went thru 2 a parallel universe crossing the void, on Doomsday, there were people upgraded to cybermen in torchwood (canary wharf) so they didn't cross to another universe and somehow managed to go back in time to the victorian times.

The 7 Doctors
This extra special story will be written for the 45th anniversary to be broadcast on the 23rd November 2008 starring Sylvester McCoy (7th Dr), Paul McGann (8th Dr), Peter Davison (5th Dr), Colin Baker (6th Dr), Tom Baker (4th Dr), Christopher Eccleston (9th Dr) and David Tennant (10th Dr). Alternately this special may appear as a Children in Need extravaganza. With Peter Davison and Tom Baker confirming they would return for a cameo if asked, this is looking more and more likely

The End of Time
At the end of the 2009 Christmas special David Tennant's 10th Doctor catches a cold and it causes a temporary regeneration. He turns into... a woman! It's still rumoured that Jennifer Saunders appears as a temporary Doctor either in the Christmas Special or the Children in Need special.

Two new assistants (male and female) join him and together they investigate time bleeding and other strange goings on in parks around London. The companions start to develop a relationship with one another.

The dust of stars
Kylie Minogue is back as Astrid! Somehow she's found a way to merge with an obsolete TARDIS and, being symbiotically linked with it, she's able to trace the Doctor. It's taken her about 100 of his years to do it, apparently. She needs to warn him about an impending disaster from the centre of the galaxy.

Scherzo
Time continues to splinter throughout the universe and the Doctor and companions fall through a crack into another universe with different rules

Family Reunion
Doctor-lite episode. The Doctor's daughter discovers a world shifted out of phase with the rest of the universe. She finds that her symbiotic nucleii allows her access and discovers Time Lords frozen in time. She finds a way of tracing active Tardii but it leads her to discover other problems.

Loch Ness Monsters
The Zygons have taken control of a black hole in the centre of the galaxy. They have been experimenting with time travel and discover how to grow almost anything in a fraction of the time. In minutes they have a Zygon army, ready to take over the galaxy with the help of a zetronic beam.

I especially like the sound of the seven doctors one. It'd certainly explain why Sylvester McCoy has been popping up in the last couple of Confidential episodes - why would he be there unless he was filming?

Really like the idea of Mickey and Martha joining Torchwood. I loved Mickey's character in Doctor Who, and I think there's a lot to be explored there.
